    Golgotha

    2 LP Gatefold Jacket

On Golgotha, W.A.S.P. are staying true to the biblical horror stories they employed on Babylon (2009): the name-giving place of skulls is the hill Jesus Christ was crucified upon. Faithful Blackie Lawless fans had to wait for new material for six years - and this album was damn well worth the wait! Golgotha follows the path that was established with Babylon and Dominator and is soaring to new heights with highly melodic metal anthems that also feature balladesque moments. A timeless slab of music that proves once more how important W.A.S.P. are to our scene!

Grammy®-winning engineer Keith O. Johnson has captured this colorful, beloved English music in brilliant HD sound. The Kansas City Symphony garnered tremendous critical acclaim for their first project on Reference Recordings, incidental music for The Tempest by Sullivan and Sibelius. Their second release on RR, Britten s Orchestra, received a Grammy® for Best Surround Sound for both the engineer and producer, as well as rave reviews everywhere, although the title is now unfortunately out of print.

This release again features Michael Stern, the son of famed violinist Isaac Stern. He is also the founder of the Iris Chamber Orchestra in Memphis, TN and, in addition to RR, has recorded for Sony, Hyperion, Denon, Arabesque, and Naxos. Producer David Frost won Grammy® Awards in 2005, 2009, and 2011 for Classical Producer of the Year. He has produced a large roster of stars and Grammy®-winning titles.

    L.A. Woman: The Workshop Sessions

L.A. Woman: The Workshop Sessions features eight never-before-heard versions of songs from the Doors' 1971 album and a never-before-heard song, She Smells So Nice, which captures the band joyfully barreling through a full-throttle original before segueing into the blues standard Rock Me. As the song closes, Jim Morrison can be heard chanting, Mr. Mojo Risin, an anagram of his name that was made famous during the bridge of L.A. Woman. The track was recently discovered by producer Bruce Botnick while reviewing the L.A. Woman session tapes.

Alternate takes of The Changeling, Love Her Madly, Cars Hiss By My Window, L.A. Woman, The Wasp (Texas Radio and the Big Beat), Been Down So Long and Riders On The Storm offer a fresh view on this landmark release, which was the group's last album and sixth straight Top 10.

The studio chatter between songs is a revelation, transporting listeners to The Doors' West Hollywood rehearsal space where they recorded the album with Botnick. One segment in particular captures a fascinating moment of inspiration when Morrison suggests they add the now iconic thunderstorm sound effects to the beginning of Riders On The Storm.

This 180g 2LP edition of LA Woman: The Workshop Sessions is presented on three sides of vinyl, with the fourth side featuring a laser etching of the original Electric Woman art included with the album's original 1971 release.

    Humanure

Cattle Decapitation can be described as the bastard child of Cannibal Corpse and Carcass weaving a vicious blend of Gore-grind and Death Metal into complex structures with the end result being some of the most brutal and catchy songs written in the genre today. Cattle Decapitation takes a different approach to their song writing than most bands of the same sort that tend to focus mainly on fictional subject matter. The new album Humanure starts off where their debut album on Metal Blade To Serve Man left off, dealing with the rape of the earth, it's natural resources, and the unjust treatment of animals. Humanure will be the album that metalheads have been longing for; something as ferocious as Cannibal Corpse, something as gutturally disgusting as Carcass, something offensively disturbing as Autopsy, and something as politically charged as Napalm Death.

Hailing from San Diego, CA Cattle Decapitation originally formed in 1996. The lineup initially featured David Astor on bass and Gabe Serbian on drums, both of whom were then also members of the underground phenomena The Locust. Seeking a replacement for their original vocalist, the band turned to Travis Ryan, who had actually been playing drums for another San Diego metal band, Strangulation, in addition to serving as vocalist in a gore metal band called Anal Flatulence. With Ryan on board, Astor moved from bass to drums, and Serbian moved from drums to guitar. The 3-piece quickly released two albums, the Human Jerky LP (on the Nevada label Satan's Pimp) and the Homovore CD/LP. Next, they added a bassist, Troy Oftedal, with whom they recorded their third full-length, To Serve Man, released in the fall of 2002 on Metal Blade, a move that would expose them to more of a death metal-oriented audience (as opposed to the hardcore/grindcore one that they had mostly been playing to before). In 2002, the band added a second guitarist, Josh Elmore (formerly of 7000 Dying Rats), who eventually took over as the band's sole guitarist after Serbian left in order to devote himself more fully into the Locust.

Recorded with producer Bill Metoyer (Slayer, WASP, Six Feet Under) Humanure will feature the latest addition to the band, drummer Michael Laughlin. The band parted ways with drummer David Astor in May of 2003 due to inability to live up to the obligations of touring and regular necessities of the band. Michael, previously of CREATION IS CRUCIFIXION, is most definitely a fitting replacement. Humanure has guest appearances by ex-members of the band including Gabe Serbian and the rest of his band The Locust and the original vocalist, Scott Miller.

Metalheads who thought W.A.S.P. and Mötley CrÜe were just choir boys and who were looking for more vile and boisterous music were well served when White Zombie released their albums in the mid- to late '90s. The ingredients? White-trash-on-acid metal, growled vocals and B-horror movie visuals.

After releasing the successful album 'La Sexorcisto' in 1992 Rob Zombie and his band's opinion was that it all could be a bit more rough. And so it happened..

Follow-up album 'Astro-Creep 2000' from 1995 is much heavier than its predecessor, with a more industrial metal style and a darker sound as it deals with twisted poetry about murder, the undead, blasphemy and satanic elements.

'La Sexorcisto' is a must have for all the metal and thrash fans, 'Astro-Creep 2000', but 'Astro-creep 2000' is its number one contender!

New Lita Ford Album With Never Released Songs From End Of The 80s

Features Gene Simmons (Kiss), Jeff Scott Soto (Ex-Yngwie Malmsteen), Rick Nielsen And Robin Zander (Cheap Trick) And Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big)

Lita Ford is ripping open the vault and sharing music no one has heard yet. Ford, a Grammy nominated artist who recently accepted Guitar Player's Lifetime Achievement Award and is one of the youngest living legends in rock 'n' roll, is celebrating four decades of music. She is releasing Living Like a Runaway: Lita Ford, A Memoir, documenting her journey from all-girl band The Runaways to major solo successes. Ford is also offering an audio complement in the form of Time Capsule.

This "throwback" record boasts identifiable voices and brilliant players jamming without any planning or pressure. Some of the album's highlights: Billy Sheehan playing bass and Rodger Carter on drums; Dave Navarro playing a mandolin; Jeff Scott Soto singing a duet with Ford; Rick Nielsen and Robin Zander of Cheap Trick actually singing backing vocals; and KISS' Gene Simmons ripping the bass.

The album is a time capsule of the fertile and whisky-soaked pre-grunge period that so many rock fans have continued affection for. Time Capsule is Ford's gift to fans who love the '80s, when thrilling vocal performances, raunchy riffs, and loud, growling guitars were as essential as oxygen.

In these "lost" recordings, you hear what happens when insanely talented musicians get drunk, hang out, end up in a room together with a "Screw it, let's play" mentality, minus the click tracks or label execs breathing down their necks, looking for the single or the "hook." "There was a shitload of these 24-track analog tapes in the closet in my house [in the islands]," Ford recalls. "This is some of the best work I've ever done and it was sitting there. I grabbed two suitcases and took them back to the United States."

Imagine Ford dragging a pair of suitcases full of analog tapes through the Caribbean dirt back to Los Angeles, so, as she recalls, "we could bake these fuckers," due to their age. "If you just put them on the reel, they would flake. I was chewing my fingernails, thinking, 'Please work!' And they did!"

Time Capsule was made organically among the most badass and gifted musicians from the '80s. There was no back and forth emailing of parts - this was done in real time, drinks in hand.

As for exactly how the songs came to be, she muses, "We had a break between recordings and it seemed so many us were always in the same place, at the same time. George Tutko was one hell of an engineer, coming off the platinum-selling Lita album. He asked me, 'Who will produce?' I will, because I knew George had my back and I wasn't alone on this."

Participation happened spontaneously. She remembers how one recruitment went down, saying, "Dave Navarro walks by. We grab him and tell him, 'Play something on this song. Here, play this mandolin!' And boom! He does it."

She furthers, "These recordings have attitude. All of these rock stars were recording in the local studios. There's also Cheap Trick - the identifiable voices of Rick Nielsen and Robin Zander singing backing vocals. Gene Simmons played on and co-wrote 'Rotten to the Core.' W.A.S.P. Chris Holmes is in the introduction to the album and is the first thing you hear, stomping around looking for the keys to his 'Ford.' Billy Sheehan was one of my best friends, and I asked him what he was doing. I said, 'Want to play bass?' We didn't know how long it would take; we were simply having fun."

    Nonagon Infinity

Pressed On Splattered Vinyl (Dark Vinyl With Light Splatters)

"Nonagon infinity opens the door," sings Stu Mackenzie, frontman of Australian psych-rockers King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. It turns out, though, that once the door's open, it never closes. That's because the Melbourne septet has ingeniously crafted what may be the world's first infinitely looping LP. Each of the nine, complex, blistering tracks on 'Nonagon Infinity' seamlessly flows into the next, with the final song linking straight back into the top of the opener like a sonic mobius strip. It's exactly the kind of ambitious vision that prompted Rolling Stone to dub the band "one of the most compelling collectives of art-rock experimentalists in recent years." But far from a simple conceptual experiment, the album is both an exhilarating shot of adrenaline and a remarkable feat of craftsmanship, the result of painstaking planning and an eye for detail years in the making.

The roots of 'Nonagon Infinity' stretch back to 2014, when King Gizzard recorded their critically acclaimed album "I'm In Your Mind Fuzz," which was hailed by Pitchfork as "dense, intricately crafted, and most importantly, powerful."

"We actually wanted to do this with 'Mind Fuzz,' but it just didn't work," explains Mackenzie. "We ended up writing songs that needed to be on that record but didn't connect to the others, so we had to abandon the idea, but the seeds were sown."

To an outsider, it may have seemed like the band had completely given up on the concept, as the ever-prolific group quickly followed 'Mind Fuzz' with two more records in 2015, 'Quarters'-described by The Guardian as "the neon intersection of DIY psych and 1960s beach pop"-and the stripped-down 'Paper Mache Dream Balloon,' which earned praise from NPR to Stereogum. The truth, though, was that King Gizzard was honing in on the 'Nonagon Infinity' material the whole time, test-driving various tracks in their explosive live shows to prep for the monumental task of stitching them all together into one searing, multi-movement epic.

"We really wanted to focus on things that felt good live," says Mackenzie. "We'd grab a little riff here or a little groove there, and we'd jam on them and form songs out of them, which was the opposite of 'Paper Mache,' where we were making songs in an acoustic, classic-songwriting kind of way. I wanted to have an album where all these riffs and grooves just kept coming in and out the whole time, so a song wasn't just a song, it was part of a loop, part of this whole experience where it feels like it doesn't end and doesn't need to end."

Recorded at Daptone Studios in Brooklyn, the final result is an intricate and immersive listening experience. Lyrical refrains and musical motifs establish themselves and then submerge beneath the chaos, only to resurface unexpectedly later like familiar companions on a labyrinthine journey. Motorhead-grade riffs give way to King Crimson and Yes-levels of prog complexity, as songs churn through unusual time signatures and shifting rhythms with blunt force, laying waste to everything in their path.

"I wanted it to feel like a horror or sci-fi movie," explains Mackenzie of the album's dark overtones. "The lyrics came as a stream of consciousness, all of these elements just falling out of my head as it was happening."

"Big Fig Wasp" references a particularly macabre insect that must kill itself in order to perpetuate the species, while "Gamma Knife," with its 11/8-time drum solo, is named for a surgical tool that burns cuts into the skin, and "People-Vultures" plays like a sinister film soundtrack. Album opener "Robot Stop" pulls more directly from the band's recent experiences, inspired in part by their relentless work ethic and tour schedule, which has included festival performances at Bonnaroo, Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz & Roskilde as well as countless sold out dates in rooms across the USA, UK, Europe and Australia.

"That song's about feeling overworked, like a bit of a robot that's just going to crash and die or something," he says with a laugh. "But you get yourself up and do it again and you robot on and you're alright. It was one of the early ones we wrote for the record, and I think when that song came together, everybody started to feel like were going to actually be able to pull off this never-ending album idea."

To say they pulled it off would be an understatement. The record is a force to be reckoned with on par with the road trains Mackenzie references in the album's final track.

"In the Australian desert, in the outback, there are what's called road trains, which are these massive trucks pulling heaps of carriages that can end up being 50 meters long," he explains. "They drive on the road really, really fast, and they're deadly, with these bars in the front to kill kangaroos and anything else in their path."

'Nonagon Infinity' has opened the door for King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and they're barreling ahead with more momentum than ever before now. Much like those road trains, with a band this good, the safest place to be is onboard.

On April 22, 2000 Blackie Lawless' W.A.S.P played an exclusive show to a packed Key Club in Los Angeles, California, and broadcast it around the world via the wonders of modern technology. The results were heard live, around the globe, by 10,000 lucky souls, with a further 100,000 people desperately trying (and failing) to log on at the same time.

The Sting is exactly what occurred that night in L.A. - an explosive performance from a band that continue to defy the hands of time and, in many ways, keep getting better. Madfish Records are due to release this classic on a 2 LP gatefold limited edition 180g green vinyl on June 10th.

The set list from that infamous night includes a pile-driving 'Inside The Electric Circus' to a heroic 'L.O.V.E. Machine', a scintillating 'Animal (Fuck Like A Beast)' through to a peerless finale of 'I Wanna Be Somebody' and 'Blind In Texas', this is a raw and ragged greatest hits package; W.A.S.P. at their inglorious, insolent best.

Blackie Lawless launched W.A.S.P. on the unsuspecting world in 1983 and before long tales of their outrageous music and intense stage shows were legendary. This vinyl edition of the band's third album from 1989 proves that while the theatrics and shock tactics of Blackie Lawless might have gained

The Last Command (Out Of Stock)

Heavyweight Magenta Colored Vinyl Pressing From Snapper Music!

W.A.S.P. 's second full-length release, The Last Command, showed that leader/principal songwriter Blackie Lawless was attempting to write better songs. While some of the tracks still contain the gross-out element that made the band's debut a success, Lawless wanted the public to start taking his band more seriously, and not focus so much on W.A.S.P. 's stage antics. Though The Last Command is not as challenging as such future albums as The Headless Children and The Crimson Idol would be, 1985's The Last Command contained several tracks that would become concert staples for years to come.

    1. Wild Child
    2. Ballcrusher
    3. Fistful Of Diamonds
    4. Jack Action

W.A.S.P. The Best Of The Best (Out of Stock)

Blackie Lawless launched W.A.S.P. on the unsuspecting world in 1983 and before long tales of their outrageous music and intense stage shows were legendary.

In the last few years of the old century W.A.S.P. made some of their most striking and brave albums. The ferocious, blood-splattered Kill Fuck Die and the celebratory sleazefest of Helldorado had provided solid proof
that Blackie Lawless' songwriting skills were as keen and unique as ever and, unlike the majority of his 80s contemporaries, this most dogged and determined of frontmen was entering a new era full of confidence,
with that blazing inferno in his eyes clearly a long way from fizzling out.

The 15 tracks featured on The Best Of The Best prove that while the theatrics and shock tactics of Blackie Lawless might have gained the headlines, it was what W.A.S.P. did on record that gained them legions of fans. An exhilarating rock'n'roll rollercoaster, this double disc set collects themost incendiary moments from a career built on mixing snarling sexual noise with carnage, chaos and controversy.

Collecting tracks from all the classic W.A.S.P. albums, including W.A.S.P., The Last Command and The Headless Children, this double 180g black vinyl gatefold edition, released through Madfish of The Best Of The Best provides the definitive document of a blistering career. The Best Of The Best features the W.A.S.P. cuts - Animal (F**K Like A Beast), I Wanna Be Somebody, Wild Child and a rip roaring cover of Elton
John's Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting.
