    Venom (Deluxe Edition)

UK metal titans 5th studio album is titled VENOM. Produced by Carl Bown and Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Machine Head, Trivium) at Metropolis Studio in London, VENOM is an unrelenting, fierce step forward for Bullet For My Valentine. Their heaviest record to date sinks its teeth into listeners with a powerful delivery by vocalist/guitarist Matt Tuck, ferocious riffs by guitarist Michael Padge Paget and rapid-fire rhythm courtesy of drummer Michael Moose Thomas. On VENOM the trio maintains their signature balance of heavy, coupled with surging melody, and pushes themselves to the next level. Bullet For My Valentine's progression of sound is evident on VENOM, presenting a harder delivery and a more complex song structure, as witnessed on the band's crushing new track, No Way Out. In addition to the news of the upcoming record, Bullet For My Valentine has also announced they've recruited fellow Welsh musician Jamie Mathias to join the band as their new bass player and backup vocalist.

    Fallen Angels

The First Limited Edition Pressing of Fallen Angels Will Come With Two Bonus Tracks, Annunaki Legacy and Blackened Blues

Venom, the hugely influential UK outfit now celebrating a full 30 years since the release of their Welcome To Hell debut, will have a brand new studio album released on November 20th via Spinefarm Records.

Titled Fallen Angels and featuring 13 fresh recordings produced by main-man/bassist Cronos, this is the follow-up to 2008's Hell release, and sees the trio (completed by guitarist Rage and drummer Dante) adopting a style highly redolent of classic early Venom with modern studio technology employed only to increase the general level of natiness.

Says Cronos: We make an album, it usually take a few tracks to get into the vibe, although this album's vibe was very much present during the ideas stage...everything came together so naturally.
We started throwing ideas together on the South American tour, and then again during the live shows of 2010, and so we knew from the start that we had some amazing new songs to make a great album.

With any new album, you look for a few songs to put into the live set, although that is going to be very difficult with this record, as we can nail the entire album live if we want!

    Bathory

Limited Edition Reissue of Bathorys Debut Album!

Bathory was formed in Stockholm in 1983. Founder Quorthon, a seventeen-year-old guitarist, was joined by bassist Hanoi and drummer Vans. After various name changes (beginning with Nosferatu, then Natas, Mephisto, Elizabeth Bathory and Countess Bathory) they finally settled on Bathory. Their first recording deal came that same year, when Quorthon managed to secure the consent of Tyfon Grammofon's boss to record two tracks for the compilation Scandinavian Metal Attack. The tracks which he recorded gained unexpected attention by fans. Soon afterward, Tyfon Grammofon contacted Quorthon and asked him to record a full-length album. Although Venom's Black Metal, released in 1982, was the first record to coin the term, it was Bathory's early albums, featuring Satanic lyrics, low-fi production and an inhuman vocal style, that defined the genre. Many fans have speculated Venom was an influence on Bathory; however, Quorthon has said in an interview with Kick Ass magazine in 1985 he only heard of Venom after the first Bathory album was released. He also expressed dislike for many influential and popular heavy metal bands at the time, such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. He has also stated the band's early work was influenced primarily by Black Sabbath, Motörhead, and punk rock. Bathory's self-titled debut album, and the subsequent releases The Return and Under the Sign of the Black Mark, are now regarded as major influences on the Norwegian bands which extended black metal's musical progression and popularity in the beginning of the 1990s.

    Terrible Certainty

Remastered Versions By Andy Pearce And Overseen By Mille Petrozza

Packed With Rare Photos And Memorabilia And Notes By Mille And Malcolm Dome (Metal Hammer) Talking About The Creation Of The Albums

Contains Kreator's Out Of The Dark... Into The Light EP As Well As Live Tracks Record At Dynamo Club, Eindhoven, Netherlands, In 1988

1987's Terrible Certainty did nothing to dent the perception that Kreator was one of the genre's best bands, and for once, Petrozza had a little time to work out the songs beforehand. Kreator beefed up to a quartet once again with the addition of guitarist Jörge Trebziatowski. This version also contains the Out of the Dark... Into the Light EP which was originally released in 1988. The live tracks were recorded at Dynamo Club, Eindhoven, Netherlands, in 1988.

Formed in Essen, Germany in 1982, Kreator is arguably the most influential and successful European thrash metal band ever, like many of their European speed metal brethren, Kreator fused Metallica's thrash innovations with Venom's proto-black metal imagery. Kreator has been referred to as one of the Big 4 of Teutonic thrash metal, and they are often credited with helping pioneer death metal and black metal by containing several elements of what was to become those genres. The band has achieved worldwide sales of over two million units for combined sales of all their albums, making them one of the best-selling German thrash metal bands of all time. Kreator's style has changed several times over the years, from a Venom-inspired speed metal sound, later moving into thrash metal, and including a period of transitioning from thrash to industrial metal and gothic metal throughout the 1990s. In the early 2000s, Kreator returned to their classic thrash sound, which has continued to the present.

Contains Kreator's Flag Of Hate EP

Pleasure To Kill, the second studio album by Kreator, was released in November 1986 originally by Noise Records. The lyrical themes follow those found on their first album. Unleashed in 1986 and still considered the band's first classic album, Pleasure to Kill raised the bar with more diversity of tempos and greater attention to technical execution while losing nothing in terms of ferocity or speed. The band closed out the year with the Flag of Hate EP (named after a re-recorded version of their earliest hit) which is included on this version. Many death metal bands cite this album as an influence. Pleasure To Kill is widely considered a thrash classic. It is also considered a landmark album in the history of thrash metal along with Master of Puppets by Metallica, Reign In Blood by Slayer and Darkness Descends by Dark Angel, all released in 1986.

Contains Two Of The Band's Original Demos (Blitzkrieg [1983] & The Other End Of The World [1984]) From When They Were Still Known As Tormentor

Endless Pain was released in October 1985 by Noise Records. It was a savage debut; its crude thrashing quickly had the underground metal world abuzz with excitement. This album has been known to be viewed as a pivotal album to black metal bands that enjoy thrash metal elements, ultimately creating a thrash-influenced black metal sound. This version also contains the band's original demos when they were still known as Tormentor, one fittingly named Blitzkrieg (1983), and the other End of the World (1984). These fell into the hands of thousands of heavy metal fans engaging in the era's bustling underground tape-trading network. Positive word of mouth soon attracted the attention of Germany's own metal start-up, Noise Records, which signed the newly re-christened Kreator to a deal. This album presented in LP format contains remastered versions by Andy Pearce and overseen by Mille Petrozza. New art has been created packed with rare photos and memorabilia and notes by Mille and Malcolm Dome (Metal Hammer) talking about the creation of the albums.

    Limited To 1000

At War with Satan is the third album by extreme metal pioneers Venom, released in April 1984. Though neither of their first two albums had sold in very large quantities, by 1983 Venom had become simply impossible to ignore. To be sure, their exceedingly Satanic posturing wasn't nearly as shocking as it was cartoonish, and their impenetrable dirge of embryonic black metal only helped fuel the metal community's interest in the band.

Treat Me LIke Your Mother/You Just Can't Win

Produced, engineered and mixed by Jack White III at Third Man Studios

7'' vinyl single with picture sleeve

The 2nd single from the Dead Weather rock and roll juggernaut is more amplified terror riffing and slithery vocals. Alison Mosshart (the Kills) spits polite venom while Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age) lurches on a twisted guitar/organ spell. The stuttered back-beat courtesy of Jack White (the White Stripes) locks down with bombastic bass from Jack Lawrence (the Raconteurs) and the end result is quite likely the breakout hit of the summer of 2009. B-side is exclusive to the release and is a brooding cover of Thems forgotten 'You Just Cant Win' penned by pre-solo fame Van Morrison that finds White taking lead vocal duties and accurately replicating Vans forlorn delivery.

To The Death 84 (Awaiting Repress)

Voivod originally formed in 1983, with a weird hybrid of thrash metal and punk, a sound that made them stand out as a unique band from the beginning. Still together after almost 30 years, having made more than a dozen albums and toured the world, the Canadian group reaches back to the beginning of their career for their first Alternative Tentacles release.

Voivod began as four friends who met in high school and decided to get together to play some heavy music. Growing up in Northern Quebec in an aluminum factory area called Saguenay (which they dubbed Morgoth Land), they shared a liking of Venom, Motörhead, Tank, Discharge and GBH, as well as obscure prog and krautrock bands like Van Der Graaf Generator, Faust and Can. They were scared of the threat of a nuclear war and Reagan-era concepts such as the Strategic Defense Initiative, and had a dystopian view of the future.

To the Death 84 is 70 minutes of loud, blistering metal/punk. Recorded live in the bands jam space in January of 1984 with an old tape recorder and a couple of microphones, it nonetheless sounds great and hits as hard today as it did back then. This demo tape was sent to all the fanzines the band knew of at the time, and has circulated among collectors for years. The lineup for these recordings was Snake (Denis BÉlanger) on lead vocals, Piggy (Denis DAmour) on guitar, Blacky (Jean-Yves ThÉriault) on bass and Away (Michel Langevin) on drums. The track listing includes songs from War and Pain, their debut album, and six others, including a Mercyful Fate cover and two Venom covers.

Horror rock mogul ROB ZOMBIE returns with his fifth solo album, and in his words, "It merges the old days of WHITE ZOMBIE with the future of what I am doing now this is the perfect combo of both worlds." Much more than self-serving hyperbole, this is the Devil's truth! 'The Girl Who Loved The Monsters' harkens back to La Sexorcisto, whereas 'Behold, The Pretty Filthy Creatures' would be right at home on The Sinister Urge. Throughout the 12 songs, pretty much every aspect of Zombie's musical career is touched upon; Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor is almost like a Greatest Hits comprised of entirely new material. First single 'Dead City Radio And The New Gods Of Super Town' is a fiery, barn-burner of a track highlighting "wasted youth - an angel of odd in her birthday suit." That being said, the award for worst song title of the year goes to 'Ging Gang Gong De Do Gong De Laga Raga'. Musically, it's actually quite a good piece, but that title and chorus - what were you thinking Rob? Then there's 'Rock And Roll (In A Black Hole)', centered around a tedious, electronic syncopated drum beat. All signs lead to dull and dreary, but when this kicks in, it'll knock you on your ass! 'Theme For The Rat Vendor' is an unexpected 62-second instrumental immersed in middle-eastern sounds. Pulling a decapitated rabbit out of the hat, Zombie and cohorts John 5 on guitar, Piggy D on bass, and Ginger Fish on drums rock the shit out of GRAND FUNK RAILROAD's 'We're An American Band'; talk about a job well done! And if there really is a fallen angel in hell, Zombie will play 'Lucifer Rising' every night on tour. Bound to be a fan-favourite, this makes you move and groove uncontrollably; it's damn near irresistible. 'Trade In Your Guns For A Coffin' ends this illicit affair with the perfect amount of sex, sleaze and violence. Forget the Pied Piper, it's time to embrace, cherish and worship those Venomous Rats!-- Aaron Small

    Limited To 1000

Deathcrush is an EP by the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem. It was originally released on 16 August 1987. Though influential to black metal, its lyrics and sound were largely influenced by early death metal bands. Chainsaw Gutsfuck was voted Most Gruesome Lyrics Ever by Blender in 2006. The Deathcrush EP was immediately groundbreaking, establishing new standards of brutality, the songwriting itself is still largely derivative of their influences, particularly Venom and early Bathory.

    Return Of Darkness

He has also stated the band's early work was influenced primarily by Black Sabbath, Motorhead, and punk rock. Bathory's self-titled debut album, and the subsequent releases The Return and Under the Sign of the Black Mark, are now regarded as major influences on the Norwegian bands which extended black metal's musical progression and popularity in the beginning of the 1990s.

Blood Fire Death is the fourth album by the Swedish band Bathory. It continued the band's transition towards more epic songwriting, and includes some of the first Viking metal recordings, although is still mostly black metal. Twilight Of The Gods

180 Gram Reissue of Bathorys Sixth Album!

Twilight of the Gods is the sixth album by Bathory. It continues the exploration of the newly created Viking metal style, and also displays a heavy classical influence; it is titled after an opera by Wagner, and the melody of Hammerheart is lifted from Gustav Holst's The Planets (more specifically, from the fourth movement, Jupiter).
