Us Three (Pre-Order)Cut At 33 1/3 RPM By Kevin Gray At Cohearent Audio From The Original Rudy Van Gelder Blue Note Master Tapes
Pressed On 180 Gram Virgin Vinyl LP By RTI
Top Quality Gatefold Packaging With Laminated Covers & High Quality Session Photos
Us Three, featuring pianist Horace Parlan, bassist George Tucker and drummer Al Harewood, is one of Blue Note's greatest trio albums. The piano-bass-drums trio has long been the most compact of all jazz combos, a complete orchestra with just three pieces. Some trios have been completely dominated by its pianist including the Oscar Peterson and Art Tatum Trios. The trio on Us Three is a bit different for it features three superior jazz men who constantly play off of each other, communicating immediately and telepathically in sensitive yet funky interactions. Horace Parlan, already well known at 29 and a member of the Lou Donaldson Quartet, was perfect for the trio format in 1960. His soulful chordal style matches very well with the subtle contributions of George Tucker and Al Harewood. There are some very memorable originals and the trio makes some superior standards sound as if they were written for them. The members of Us Three seem to think as one and the resulting music, which has sonics never before realized, is fantastic.

First Time Gatefold Cover With Super Rare 1966 Images From The Sony Music Archives
Paul Revere & The Raiders featuring Mark Lindsay were truly one of the greatest exponents of the sixties pop and rock music scene. When they debuted with their very first Columbia Records hit single Louie, Louie in 1963 (FRM-10414), there would be no turning back for this amazing band. For the next decade and a half, The Raiders released a plethora of albums and well over three dozen 45's making their catalog as prolific and rocking as you could get.
Often considered one of the best albums of the garage band rock era, Just Like Us features some of The Raiders' biggest hit singles, with their equally important Lp tracks. The hard rockin' classic includes top smash hits Just Like Me, Steppin' Out, plus stellar champions like their terrific interpretations of The Animals' I'm Crying, The Rolling Stones' Satisfaction, and Mark Lindsay's wailing sax work on the James Brown hit Night Train.
Friday Music is no stranger to the music of the legendary Paul Revere & The Raiders featuring Mark Lindsay. That is why we are so very proud to announce another fine installment in their Friday Music Series with the first time audiophile stereophonic vinyl release of Just Like Us.
Now impeccably mastered by Raiders' fan and friend Joe Reagoso (The Raiders/Brian Wilson), this super limited edition album will be pressed for a short time at R.T.I. on 180 Gram Audiophile White vinyl and presented in a first time colorful gatefold cover, which includes rare photos from the Sony Music archives as well as the original art elements you'll remember from this amazing 1966 smash album.

Us And The NightGrammy Award®-nominated, multiplatinum Mississippi rock band 3 Doors Down have announced their sixth full-length album, Us And The Night.
"In The Dark" shows a different side of 3 Doors Down. Fans will recognize the robust riffing, but it flaunts a sexy and striking chant that emphasizes a new groove and swagger altogether.
On the new album Brad Arnold notes: "We're all excited to release our new album Us And The Night. It's truly been a labour of love and we can't wait to get these songs out to our fans around the world."
Following 2011's Time of My Life, which landed at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 and The Greatest Hits in 2012, the band continued its non-stop touring, performing for audiences across the globe. Gearing up for Us And The Night the group recorded the album at Rivergate Studios in Nashville, TN with producer Matt Wallace [Maroon 5, Train, Faith No More] over the course of 2015. It nods to the spirit of their breakout debut with seasoned songwriting and the biggest and boldest songs of their career to date.1. The Broken

Change Becomes UsOnly Wire would attempt to make their fourth album after their tenth. At the beginning of their career, between 1977 and 1979, the great British art punk quartet released three perfect albums, Pink Flag, Chairs Missing and 154, each wildly different from the other. Then they splintered, though a bunch of post-154 songs-in-process came to light later, in the dodgy live recordings that made up the bizarre, messy Document and Eyewitness (1981) and 1996's Turns and Strokes.
Since they first reunited in 1985, Wire has had an exceptionally weird relationship to its own past. During their commercial peak in the latter half of the 80s, they refused to play anything from the pre-breakup era, and for the first few years of their current incarnation, they mostly acted as if they'd jumped straight from Pink Flag to the year 2000. At the beginning of this decade, they started looking back in earnest-- not in a hey, kids, we wrote 12 x U, remember? way, but in a cleaning up loose ends way. 2011's Strays EP contained four pieces that had been kicking around their live repertoire for a long time but had never been recorded to their satisfaction before; the Black Session album that came out last year actually included a few relatively faithful versions of old songs.
And now they've gone back to the material they'd have recorded for the album that never happened after 154. The 13 titles on Change Becomes Us are new, but the songs themselves aren't; they're all more or less newly rewritten versions of the Document and Eyewitness/Turns and Strokes repertoire. It's not the first time they've reckoned with some of those sketches, either. B/W Silence and Time Lock Fog are respectively adapted from Lorries and 5/10, which singer/guitarist Colin Newman previously reworked on his 1982 solo album Not To. Doubles & Trebles is a new version of Ally in Exile, which Wire mutated first into Art of Persistence on 2000's The Third Day and then into I Don't Understand on 2002's Read & Burn 01; positioned as the new album's opener, its arrangement and lyric (about a solitary agent in enemy territory) explicitly allude to the way Reuters introduces Pink Flag.
The Wire of 1980, and the band's members on the solo records that immediately followed the split, were radicals who were trying to pry open the pop-recording form and avoid repeating themselves. The Wire of 2013 have settled on a sweet-and-prickly sound that suits them, and sonically Change Becomes Us is of a piece with Red Barked Tree and Object 47, the other studio albums they've recorded since the 2004 departure of guitarist/texturalist Bruce Gilbert. (These days, his spot is filled by Matt Simms, who's 30 years younger than the rest of the band.)
Considered as a set of songs, though, it's fantastic-- a clear look at the twisty, glittering material that had previously only been a few sparkles of possibility shining through the muck of those difficult live albums. The band who wrote these songs were a couple of years away from becoming hardcore punk icons-- there are hints of that when drummer Robert Grey breaks into a high-speed two-step on Adore Your Island and Stealth of a Stork. And they were so deeply invested in non-obviousness that their lyrics sometimes read like cryptic crossword clues: the hook of Eels Sang Lino-- recast here as Eels Sang-- is an anagram for in Los Angeles.
But the Wire of 1979 and 1980 were also developing their enduring fascination with unlikely kinds of beauty, and their 21st century incarnation has built some of their most fetching songs from some of the most ragged and jagged ideas to come from their younger selves. (Re-Invent Your Second Wheel, sung by bassist Graham Lewis, is a languorous waltz whose DNA has traces of the in-your-face Document and Eyewitness experiment Zegk Hoqp.) History and transformation are, understandably, recurring themes in the new lyrics on Change Becomes Us, and it's a treat to have this missing link in the Wire story repaired, even if it's as much an anomaly in the present moment as Document and Eyewitness was in its time.

Remember Us To LifeRegina Spektor returns with her seventh album Remember Us To Life out on Sire/Warner Bros. Records.
The new LP marks Spektor's first outing since 2012's What We Saw From The Cheap Seats, which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Album Chart and her Grammy-nominated theme song "You've Got Time" for the hit Netflix show Orange Is The New Black.
Remember Us To Life is composed entirely of all new songs recently written by Spektor, a change from past albums when she would record songs written throughout her career. Spektor gave birth to her first child in 2014 and she spent considerable time writing during and after her pregnancy. Says Spektor "I made more art and felt more inspired than I had in a long time."
Spektor recorded with producer Leo Abrahams (David Byrne/Brian Eno, Frightened Rabbit, Paolo Nutini) in Los Angeles at The Village Studios. Says Spektor of Abrahams, "he is such a kind and talented musician. And person! I felt very grateful to work with him."
Born in the Soviet Union, Spektor began studying classical piano when she was six. Her family emigrated in 1989, landing in New York City, where she continued her classical training. Spektor eventually studied composition at the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College where she graduated with honors. She began writing pop songs in her late teens and made her recorded debut in 2001 with the self-released 11:11, a collection of songs heavily influenced by jazz and blues. Songs followed in 2002 and Soviet Kitsch in 2004. Spektor's commercial breakthrough came in 2006 on her fourth LP, Begin to Hope. The gold-certified album included the singles "On the Radio," "Better" and "Fidelity," which climbed the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Spektor's fifth album, Far released in 2009, and sixth album, What We Saw From the Cheap Seats released in 2012, both debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.1. Bleeding Heart

Nothing For Us HereCult Leader are the next evolutionary leap forward for three-quarters of Gaza, arguably one of the best metallic bands of the last decade. After the early 2013 dissolution of the aforementioned band, remaining members Michael Mason, Casey Hansen, and Anthony Lucero were joined by bassist Sam Richards to form this brand new beast.
Nothing For Us Here is a complex crusher as you would expect. Brilliantly heavy, technical musicianship complimented by Anthony Lucero's newfound brutal vocal delivery (previously he played bass in Gaza). All of it coming together as an unconventional tangle of metal/hardcore/punk wreckage. Canning is a prolific songwriter and founding member of the indie rock collective and a veteran of the Canadian music scene. Something For All Of Us is a truly genre-ambiguous, progressive work and Canning is experimenting with a variety of sounds from hushed lo-fi acoustics, to blazing rock 'n roll, to psychedelic groove. Recorded and produced in Toronto by Canning along with Ryan Kondrat and John La Magna, the album features an assortment of guest musicians such as Kevin Hearn (BNL, Lou Reed), Liz Powell (Land Of Talk) and Liam O'Neil (The Stills) as well as his fellow BSS band-mates.1. ThreeSince the release of their 2014 US breakthough album Voices, Phantogram have trekked across the globe playing live shows and festival dates, contributed features to everyone from A-Trak to Miley Cyrus. They've been sampled by Kanye West, The Game and A$AP Rocky, and released their debut BIG GRAMS LP with good friend and musical partner in crime, Big Boi of Outkast. The New York bred duo made writing stops at home and in Atlanta before picking back up in Los Angeles to record Three. Carter and Barthel shared duties on production and vocals, melding elements of rock, pop, hip-hop and electronic. Can't Touch Us Now (On Sale)Four years on from the release of their Top 10 US album, Oui Oui Si Si Ja Ja Da Da, Madness return with Can't Touch Us Now. The Album's release sees the Nutty Boys in full flow with a collection of songs that stands alongside the best of their unique takes on modern life.
A typically eclectic collection (the group has long mastered the art of making disparate influences work under their knack for writing catchy pop hooks), Can't Touch Us Now was recorded at London's iconic Toe Rag Studio - a fitting venue for one of the English capital's most iconic bands. Co-produced by Grammy-winning producer Liam Watson (The White Stripes' Elephant) and the band's long-time boards-man, Clive Langer, Can't Touch Us Now was recorded in just three weeks and boasts characteristically wry observations on life, with songs the likes of 'Mr. Apples', 'Blackbird', 'Mumbo Jumbo' and the title track.
Part of Madness' brilliance lies in their ability to take situations specific to their environment and make them universally relatable: 'It Must Be Love', 'Embarrassment' and 'Tomorrow's Just Another Day' all resonate with a worldliness that fans from all over the globe have related to - and that's no surprise, given that the band themselves have looked beyond England, to Jamaica, for a large part of their musical inspiration. With the songs on Can't Touch Us Now road-hardened during a string of summer festival appearances, it seems that the album is set to, once again, remind fans that the self-proclaimed Nutty Boys are one of the finest, most erudite pop outfits that the world has seen.1. Love Will Tear Us Apart (Picture Disc)Import
Love Will Tear Us Apart should have been the band's most shining moment, instead it became their tragic swan song. Released just a month after frontman Ian Curtis' heart-wrenching suicide, the song came to be seen as the unheeded warning of the impending tragedy. This special edition features all three versions of the song that transformed Joy Division from mere band into legend. In addition to the original single version, we have two versions remixed by American producers Don Gehman of John Mellencamp fame (the 'radio version') and Arthur Baker (who also produced a hit single for Africa Bambaataa around this same time). The remaining tracks include These Days (which appeared on the original Love Will Tear Us Apart single), along with Transmission (their debut single released in 1979) and Atmosphere (originally released as a France-only single) in 1980.1. Maybe They Will Sing For Us Tomorrow (Awaiting Repress)150 Gram Vinyl
Five years ago on May 6th, 2008 we released Maybe They Will Sing For Us Tomorrow. It was a different record for us. We had been invited to play at the Riceboy Sleeps art exhibit after party. It would be our first live show. Since it would just be the two of us performing we had to write material specific to the event. Of course it was intimidating because both Jonsi Birgisson from Sigur Rós and the gentle natured, multitalented Alex Somers would be sitting in the audience just a few feet away from us. Nothing to worry about though, they were absolute sweethearts. Jonsi toasted us in the middle of the set, which helped soothe our nerves, and you could sense their genuine appreciation for our performance. (On a personal note, my favorite memory was when Jonsi sang to me while we were just sitting around and talking about creating loops and soundscapes.)
Andrew and I came back home and decided to create a record out of the music we had written for the after party. There were no beats on the record, just pure ambience and a few cellos added to sweeten things up. We finished recording and Jonsi and Alex asked if Riceboy Sleeps could create the artwork after we asked them for permission to use the title, Maybe They Will Sing For Us Tomorrow. So here we are now with a remastered version and and a gorgeous vinyl release. Why? When we brought the original recordings to the mastering session the title track had been bounced down at the wrong sample rate so it wasn't in an actual key. It was between two keys. When we performed it live we would play it in the proper key and it just sounded better to us. So we approached Taylor Deupree and asked him to do a new mix of the title track and remaster the whole record. The record now sounds like it's in 3D and the title track is now true to our original vision. So rich and warm. As for the vinyl Well a lot of you have been asking for vinyl from us so this is kind of a test to see how it goes. But the main reason is the artwork. Vinyl sized artwork by Riceboy Sleeps. It's gorgeous and it's just nice to be able to hold it in your hands. Not to mention the warm sound of vinyl. This is a unique recording within the Hammock catalog. Unique in the way it was created, in it's sonic texture and artwork.

Limited edition vinyl! In 1972 as the lineup of Funkadelic that had made the first three albums collapsed in on themselves, some members shuttled back and forth between Detroit and Toronto and kept recording. The original album of five tracks includes some prime era Funkadelic grooves including the outrageous Rat Kiss The Cat On The Navel and Be What You Is which are both uptempo psychedelic funk, as well as the wonderful gospel-imbued vocals of Gary Shider on the opener This Broken Heart. Folk Art (Pure Pleasure)Jazz is essentially an African-American folk art, elements not lost on Joe Lovano as he presents this all-original program of progressive music. His updated quintet Us Five is one of his freshest units in some time, with bassist Esperanza Spalding, the criminally underrated pianist James Weidman, and two stir-the-pot drummers in Francisco Mela and Otis Brown III. Together they fulfill Lovano's vision as a band that is not afraid to take many chances, stay within a bop-based tradition, and cut loose on many levels in terms of adding diverse elements to this mix of music. Lovano is noticeably restless, using his reliable tenor sax, but also straight alto, clarinet, and taragato. The drummers not only play their standard kits, but ethnic percussion instruments from many continents, while Spalding is maturing and growing exponentially into a formidable voice on her instrument. Weidman is simply brilliant throughout, largely ignored since his early days with Abbey Lincoln until now, but there's no reason he should be so underestimated or slighted.

About Pure Pleasure
At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.
During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.
A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.
We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.
We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.
To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.1. Powerhouse

Run the Jewels have finally announced the full details of their highly anticipated new studio album, RTJ3.
The album features Danny Brown, Kamasi Washington, TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe, Trina, Boots, and more. It features the previously released songs "Talk to Me," "Panther Like a Panther (I'm the Shit)," and "2100."
Timothy Saccenti, Run the Jewels' frequent artistic collaborator, made the new album's cover. RTJ shared a statement about how the new album's artwork fits in the trilogy of covers. It depicts the RTJ logo as "a sculpture of the hands cast in metal, chromed, and gold-plated":
For us, the RTJ1 hands were about "taking what's yours"-your world, your life, your attitude. The RTJ2 hands were wrapped in bandages, signifying injury and healing, which for us represented the growth in ideas and tone of that album. For RTJ3 the bandages are off, the chain is gone and the hands have been transformed into gold. For us this represents the idea that there is nothing to take that exists outside of yourself.
