    Remastered

The Joshua Tree is the fifth studio album by rock band U2. Produced by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno, it was released on 9 March 1987 by Island Records. In contrast to the ambient experimentation of their 1984 release, The Unforgettable Fire, on The Joshua Tree U2 aimed for a harder-hitting sound within the limitation of conventional song structures. The album is influenced by American and Irish roots music, and depicts the band's love-hate relationship with the United States, with socially and politically conscious lyrics embellished with spiritual imagery.

Inspired by American tour experiences, literature, and politics, U2 chose America as a theme for the record. Recording began in January 1986 in Ireland, and to foster a relaxed, creative atmosphere, the group recorded in two houses, in addition to two professional studios. Several events during the sessions helped shape the conscious tone of the album, including the band's participation in A Conspiracy of Hope tour, the death of roadie Greg Carroll, and lead vocalist Bono's travels to Central America. Recording was completed in November 1986; additional production continued into January 1987. Throughout the sessions, U2 sought a cinematic quality for the record, one that would evoke a sense of location, in particular, the open spaces of America. They represented this in the sleeve photography depicting them in American desert landscapes.

The Joshua Tree received critical acclaim, topped the charts in over 20 countries, and sold in record-breaking numbers. According to Rolling Stone, the album increased the band's stature from heroes to superstars. It produced the hit singles With or Without You, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, and Where the Streets Have No Name. The album won Grammy Awards for Album of the Year and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1988. The group supported the record with the Joshua Tree Tour throughout 1987. Frequently featured on critics' lists of rock's greatest records, The Joshua Tree is one of the world's best-selling albums, with over 25 million copies sold. In 2007, U2 released a remastered edition of the record to commemorate its 20th anniversary.

How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb

How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb is the eleventh studio album by Irish rock band U2. It was originally released on November 22nd, 2004 on Island Records and Interscope Records and features the singles Vertigo, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own, City Of Blinding Lights, All Because of You, and Original of the Species.

Much like their previous album, All That You Can't Leave Behind, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb exhibits a more mainstream rock sound after the band experimented with alternative rock and dance music in the 1990s. The album was produced by Steve Lillywhite, with additional production from Chris Thomas, Jacknife Lee, Nellee Hooper, Flood, Daniel Lanois, Brian Eno, and Carl Glanville.

    Green Colored Vinyl

First release for legendary live broadcast of this early Green Day performance - features rare live versions of much of Green Day's pre-Dookie catalogue!

It was during their tour in support of Kerplunk that the band played an in-house set on May 28th at legendary New Jersey station WMFU FM, which was broadcast live. With a song list predominately made up of tracks from their first two albums and early EPs, the performance, featured in full on this LP, offers a perfect retrospective of their early career.

An intimate event without an audience, save for DJs and technicians, the band still play in a typically exhilarating manner for close to 70 minutes, during which, in addition to their own multiple compositions, covers of numbers originally by fellow local bands Operation Ivy and Fifteen are included.

In the near 20 years since this startling performance took place, Green Day have become among the finest Rock bands ever to emerge and now reside in the same league as greats like U2, Queen or Metallica, but listening to this recording now, helps to remember that Green Day have always been great, and its looking unlikely that this status will slip anytime soon.

    Boy

Ranked 417/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

There's little in U2's 1980 debut to suggest that this was a band bent on world domination. Indeed, there's a charming, if naive, coming-of-age urgency in songs such as 'I Will Follow,' 'Stories for Boys' and 'Out of Control' that may startle listeners more familiar with U2's latter-day bombast and stadium-scale theatrics. Bono's viewpoint, still tantalizingly vague and wide-eyed, showed that his penchant for strident polemics hadn't yet gotten the best of him; his anthems are those of a yearning Dubliner barely out of his teens rather than those of a world-weary multimillionaire. The band's sometimes-ragged musical chops work in its favor here, gently burnished to then-fresh new-wave sheen by producer Steve Lillywhite. If the Edge's dense, effects-laden guitar work seems overly familiar, it's only because this album was such a key influence on the whole 'rock of the '80s' sound. Though not quite as moody or musically accomplished as October, arguably the band's first masterpiece, Boy still ranks as one of U2's best albums.

    Listen Like Thieves

Listen Like Thieves on Numbered Limited Edition LP from Mobile Fidelity Silver Label

Breakthrough 1985 Album Charted Three Great Singles

Australian Band Finds Its Groove With Bluesy Grooves, Pop Hooks

Includes "What You Need," "Listen Like Thieves," and "Kiss the Dirt"

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's World-Renowned Mastering System and Pressed at RTI

True to the title of the record's smash single, INXS gives you what you need on Listen Like Thieves. Originally released in 1985, the breakthrough album marked the group's deserved entrance into the mainstream radio sphere and commercial charts. With its sound honed from prior records, INXS develops an enviably balanced combination of dance grooves, bluesy persuasion, acoustic framing, and pop bluster on this batch of supremely catchy fare, equally memorable for its melodic nature and stylistic fusion.

Working with producer Chris Thomas (John Cale, Pete Townshend, Roxy Music), INXS expands its versatility and reach. Vocalist Michael Hutchence, too, comes into his own, singing more confidently, soulfully, and warmly than in the past. While avoiding cheap imitation, the Aussies turn to the Rolling Stones as influences, churning out thick riffs and slithering rhythms that aim for the hips and stimulate the feet. Hutchence splits the difference between the sexual bravado of Mick Jagger and primal depth of Jim Morrison, and in doing so, establishes himself as an original who's always careful not to overdo anything or overstay his welcome.

Bolstered by a series of can't-miss singles-the swaggeringly funky "What You Need," sharp thrust of "Listen Like Thieves," and wistful "Kiss the Dirt"-Listen Like Thieves teems with glorious hooks and intertwining instrumentation that cross-pollinates jazz, R&B, new-wave, and pub rock. Honking saxophone lines surge throughout, punctuating the spare chords and driving bridges with an insouciant edge missing from most of the decade's pop. A knack for atmospheric production also plays a large role. On "Shine Like It Does," a majestic moodiness takes hold, while "This Time" gives U2 a run for its money.

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's world-renowned mastering system and pressed at RTI, Silver Series' numbered limited edition LP significantly enhances the midband, textural qualities, and ample spaciousness-all previously boxed-in on prior editions. The character of the bass notes, as well as the depth and breathiness of the vocals are also noticeably improved, bringing out the music's personality and dynamics like never before.

    American III: Solitary Man

For younger generations of musicians, having their song cut by Johnny Cash must be a little like scaling the Washington Monument. On his third album
for producer Rick Rubin's American label, Cash makes Tom Petty's I Won't Back Down sound like a companion classic to I Walk the Line. He
transforms U2's One into a sturdy testament of plainspoken faith, while he plumbs the netherworld of Nick Cave's The Mercy Seat and Will Oldham's I
See a Darkness. Amid more familiar fare (including Neil Diamond's title track), the album's sing-along standout is the deadpan, down-and-out, talking
blues of Nobody. Cash's recent originals have the age-old purity of Appalachian music, while the traditional closing of Wayfaring Stranger offers
bittersweet benediction. Merle Haggard, Sheryl Crow, and June Carter Cash provide vocal cameos. -Don McLeese

Recorded at The Cash Cabin Studio, Hendersonville, Tennessee and The Akademie Mathematique Of Philosophical Sound Research, Los Angeles,

    Red

For the last two years, I've been working on an album called Red, Taylor says. I called it Red because of the tumultuous, crazy adventures in love and loss that it chronicles. In my mind, when you experience love that's fast paced and out of control and mixes infatuation, jealousy, frustration, miscommunication, and all of those lovely emotions...in retrospect, it all looks red.

After writing her last album (Speak Now) entirely by herself, for this record Taylor collaborated with several artists, producers, and songwriters she had always wanted to work with for the album's 16 tracks, including the lead single, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. While Nathan Chapman serves as the lead producer, a variety of producers were involved in the recording process. Swift co-wrote the album with people from all different places in music. Collaborators include Dan Wilson, Butch Walker, Max Martin and Ed Sheeran.

Rolling Stone has described the album as Swift's most eclectic set ever, ranging from 'State of Grace,' a howling, U2-style epic with reverb-drenched guitars, to a sweet acoustic duet with U.K. singer Ed Sheeran. Another key track even features a dubstep-inspired bass breakdown. The album's lead single, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, was released in August 2012. The song became Swift's first number one single on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, recording the highest ever one-week sales figures for a female artist.

English Band's 1981 Sophomore Record A Superbly Articulate Expression of Post-Punk Gloom, Despair, and Melancholy That's Shot Through With Hope

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's World-Renowned Mastering System and Pressed at RTI (America's Best Record Plant): LP Illuminates Myriad Textures, Atmospherics

How strong and looming of an influence is Echo and the Bunnymen? Strong enough to be the one band name-dropped in a great piece of dialogue from the music-loving film High Fidelity, whereupon Jack Black's quipping record store clerk character cites the band as legitimate taste makers for much of the cutting-edge music that happened in the late 80's and beyond.

And on no record is the English quintet's greatness more apparent than on 1981's sophomore Heaven Up Here, the group's first effort to chart in the U.S. and a Top 10 smash in its native U.K. The record's merits are legion-and timeless: vocalist Ian McCulloch's cavernous croon; dream-weaving guitar lines pushed through ominous, melodic soundscapes; neopsychedelic dirges and self-aware lyrics; glamorous drama and tortuous tension. These characteristics and more turn the music restrained euphoria and what the band called black magic.

Rife with thick atmospherics and brooding dreamscapes, the harrowing songs clatter amidst arrangements infused with requisite air, space, and chamber echoes. Silhouetted guitar leads help convey moody dampness, despair, dread, and disgust, the themes directly connected to narratives that tackle distrust, dishonesty, betrayal, and arrested dreams. Cloudy and jagged for certain, but the majesty of Heaven Up Here relates to how, in spite of the haunted arrangements and claustrophobic feel, ribbons of light and hope illuminate its shadowy corners and nocturnal glow.

Sharing much in common with Joy Division's period output and a precursor to later work by The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Cure, Love and Rockets, Ride, and countless other U.K. artists, Heaven Up Here soars on Will Seargant's angular six-string blues, McCulloch's vampiric grayness, and etched, stair-stepping bass movements.

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's world-renowned mastering system and pressed at RTI (America's best record plant), Silver Label numbered limited edition LP presents Echo and the Bunnymen's breakthrough in an involving fidelity that blows away what's on the original pressings and annihilates Rhino's CD remaster. Listeners will revel in the opened-up reverb, sound effects, complex tonalities, swimmy textures, and crafty overdubs that are so essential to the music. This is an 80's landmark, and if you like early U2, you need this album.

About Silver Series: New from Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, the MoFi Silver Label Vinyl Series will feature an eclectic mix of recordings. This series is mastered and cut on the famous Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab state-of-the-art Tim de Paravacini-designed mastering system. Word Gets Around

    2016 Reissue

Word Gets Around is the debut studio album by Welsh rock band Stereophonics. It was released on 25 August 1997 through V2 Records and reached #6 in the UK Albums Chart. Much of the album is written about everyday life in Cwmaman. Stereophonics are a Welsh rock band that formed in 1992 in the village of Cwmaman in Cynon Valley. Described as classic UK rock delivered with whiskey vocals, the band have been summarized as possessing a sound akin to the genres of alternative rock and British traditional rock. Having sold around 10 million worldwide, Stereophonics are one of the most successful Welsh rock acts. Upon their release of Pull the Pin, they became the eighth group to achieve five consecutive UK number one albums (after the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, ABBA, Genesis, Oasis, Blur and U2).

Available On Vinyl For The First Time

The Waterboys' eponymous debut album finds Mike Scott essaying his vision of big music. Part Van Morrison, part U2, it was sweeping and romantic, with nearly every song stretched out to epic length.

Brand New Compilation, Vinyl Only Release!

Californian Pop Rock group Venice started in the town by the same name in 1977 by cousins Michael and Kipp Lennon. Members of Venice have performed alongside, or recorded with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Phil Collins, Sting, Melissa Etheridge, Cher, Ozzy Osbourne, Jackson Browne, David Crosby, Stevie Nicks, Billy Idol, and the list goes on and on.

To date, Venice has found their biggest success in The Netherlands. In 2003, the band won an Edison Award (the Dutch version of the Grammy) for Best International Artist, beating out superstars U2 and Coldplay. In The Netherlands Venice's singles are a mainstay on radio, their tours sell out consistently, and they've been guests on countless television programs.

Venetian Vinyl is a brand new vinyl-only Best Of compilation of this long standing band. As the band themselves put it: ''The band sat together for days, choosing our favorite acoustic based tracks from previous albums...then we sequenced them in an order that we think really flows...giving you a compilation album you can put on, then kick back on the couch, kick your shoes off, grab your favorite beverage and relax while we massage your ear drums with what we feel is the best of our vocal harmonies and vibey tracks we've created to date.'' Sixteen Saltines / Love Is Blindness 12 (Awaiting Repress)

12 Vinyl with playable etched B-side

The second single off Jack White's debut solo album Blunderbuss. Debuted on Saturday Night Live and worlds apart from the first single "Love Interruption," the rock and roll power of " Sixteen Saltines" is all the evidence needed to show that White's solo work will be as varied as it is accomplished. Coupled with White's stinging cover of U2's "Love is Blindness" (from Achtung Baby) and the record metaphorically jumps off turntable.

The 12 single of Jack White's "Sixteen Saltines" comes complete with a playable etching on the b-side (designed by George Ingram), a cover of U2's "Love is Blindness." Truly a sight to behold, the etching depicts Third Man's iconic logo and the grooves of the record play through the image, presenting consumers with the world's first-ever playable etched record (this is an entirely different process than your Split Enz and Styx records from 1980, this visual is all vinyl).

    Oh Mercy

Released in 1989, Oh Mercy found Bob Dylan at the top of his game. Widely regarded as his best album in over a decade, Oh Mercy reaches back to Dylan's artfulness from his early years. Lyrically, the album boasts a healthy mix of social works, love songs and poetical subject matter. Especially the laidback and airy production by Daniel Lanois (whose CV mentions U2's Joshua Tree, Album Of The Year in 1988) makes Oh Mercy undoubtedly the pinnacle of Bob Dylan's eighties output!
