As a second conceptual album following the equally successful The Grand Illusion, Pieces Of Eight would go on to be one of the more defining moments in the bands extensive catalog of classic rock masterpieces.

Analog ManGrammy Award winning rock and roll legend Joe Walsh returns with the Fantasy Records/Concord release Analog Man, his first solo album in two decades! Analog Man is both modern and timelessly soulful, packed with Walsh's beloved wit, charm and chops, all encompassed by an incredibly raw and intimate sound.
Features Walsh's amusing take on the 21st century in the title track and Lucky That Way which boasts a guest appearance by Ringo Starr. The 10-track album was co-produced by Jeff Lynne with Tommy Lee James co-writing some of the songs. It's been 20 years and I have a lot to say, said Walsh. These songs come from the heart.
Walsh, best known for his powerful guitar lick, joined the Eagles in 1976 and is credited for bringing a harder rock sound to the band with the acclaimed Hotel California, The Long Run and Eagles Live. A singer/songwriter and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Walsh has entertained for more than four decades, not only as a solo artist, but as a part of admired acts like The James Gang and Barnstorm. Keb' Mo' (Pure Pleasure)Keb' Mo's self-titled debut is an edgy, ambitious collection of gritty country blues. Keb' Mo' pushes into new directions, trying to incorporate some of the sensibilites of the slacker revolution without losing touch of the tradition that makes the blues the breathing, vital art form it is. His attempts aren't always successful, but his gutsy guitar playing and impassioned vocals, as well as his surprisingly accomplished songwriting, make Keb' Mo' a debut to cherish.
- Keb' Mo' (vocal, guitar, harmonica, banjo)
- Tommy Eyre (keyboards)
- James 'Hutch' Hutchinson (bass)
- Laval Belle, Quentin Dennard (drums)
- Tony Draunagel (percussion)
Recording: 1994 at Red Zone Studios (Burbank, CA.) by Joe McGrath and at Penguin Recording (Los Angeles) by John Strother
Production: John Porter
About Pure Pleasure
At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.
During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.
A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.
We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.
We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.
To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.1. Every Morning

The Bluebird Recordings 1939-1942Though Mississippi Delta blues guitarist and singer Tommy McClennan was only active for a brief three years, he left a powerful legacy on the world of blues and beyond, influencing the likes of John Fahey and Elmore James, with tracks being covered by everyone from Bob Dylan to Albert King, and Moon Mullican. Cutting sides for Bluebird between 1939-1942, McClennan's rough, slightly unhinged style made him one of the more unique voices in the Delta and he was the first to record the classic "Cross Cut Saw Blues" along with the well known "Shake 'Em On Down", "Bottle It Up And Go", and dozens more. Last November, Jack White's Third Man and John Fahey's Revenant issued The Rise & Fall of Paramount Records, Volume One (1917-27), the first installment of the curious tale of America's most important record label. It was called spectacular (New York Times), unprecedented (Rolling Stone), breathtaking (Boing Boing), a cabinet of wonder, indeed (Pitchfork), and the most perfectly realized attempt to combine music and documentation (Fretboard Journal) and damnedest musical objet d'art (Nashville Scene) folks had ever seen.
Third Man-Revenant now presents the final volume in the Paramount story - The Rise & Fall of Paramount Records, Volume Two (1928-32).
As Volume Two begins, Paramount is entitled to a breather - in the previous 5 years it's been home to giants like King Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Alberta Hunter, Blind Blake, Ethel Waters, Ma Rainey, Papa Charlie Jackson, Eubie Blake, Fletcher Henderson, Big Bill Broonzy, Roosevelt Sykes, James P. Johnson, Jaybird Coleman, Clarence Williams, and Fats Waller.
But just as it seems the label might be losing steam, it begins a second act that threatens to dwarf its first. In its final 5 year push from 1928-32, Paramount embarks on a furious run for the ages, birthing the entire genre of Mississippi Delta blues and issuing some of the most coveted recordings in the history of wax - a staggering playlist including Skip James, Charley Patton, Son House, Tommy Johnson, Blind Roosevelt Graves, Willie Brown, King Solomon Hill, Tampa Red, Georgia Tom Dorsey, Little Brother Montgomery, Lottie Kimbrough, Rube Lacy, Meade Lux Lewis, Buddy Boy Hawkins, Ramblin' Thomas, Jaydee Short, George Bullet Williams, Cow Cow Davenport, Clifford Gibson, Ishman Bracey, Charlie Spand, Jabo Williams, Louise Johnson, Blind Joe Taggart, Geeshie Wiley & Elvie Thomas, and The Mississippi Sheiks.
Paramount simply killed. But more than that, it changed how this country thought of itself. It was the first and most comprehensive chronicler of what America really sounded like in the 1920s and '30s - on its street corners, at its fish fries and country suppers, in its nightclubs and dance halls and showtents. In the process, Paramount - not some preservationist-minded enterprise like the Library of Congress - inadvertently created the most significant repository of this young nation's greatest art form.6 LPs feature tracks from the collection.

Razed To The GroundRazed to the Ground was self-produced by Fort Worth-based duo PINKISH BLACK's own Jon Teague and Daron Beck, mastered by James Plotkin, and recorded at The Echo Lab with Matt Barnhart handling engineer duties.
PINKISH BLACK is the continuation of THE GREAT TYRANT, a three-piece that released one LP following the passing of their bass player, Tommy Atkins. When Atkins died, Jon Teague (drums, synth, loops) and Daron Beck (vocals, keyboard, synth) decided to change the band's name and remain a two-piece, yet still retain TGT's ground-breaking sound. With no stringed instruments, the duo now relies on aura and raw emotions to obtain their unique heaviness. PINKISH BLACK's resulting effort, Razed to the Ground, successfully achieves this with seven tracks of dark, haunting death-rock.1. She Left Him Red

Hello WorldThe first album of new material from the classic lineup of Information Society (Kurt, Paul and James) in over 20 years. After playing some festival dates in Summer, 2013 the band began to discuss working on a new album and the result, _hello world is the offspring. _hello world is rife with songs that have one foot firmly planted in their past and one foot confidently resting in the present; it is filled with classic INSOC dance floor fodder like Get Back, soaring epics like Jonestown, and cinematic textures like Creatures of Light and Darkness. Embracing the many faces of synthetic music while remaining organically Information Society, _hello world isn't as much a rebirth of INSOC as it is a nuclear-powered version that ups the ante. The first single, Land of the Blind, is a swirling, propulsive track that hearkens back to their signature sound yet infuses it with state of the art production values. Longtime InSoc hero Gerald V. Casale adds his vocals in a duet with Kurt on their cover of Beautiful World which adds a modern splash to the Devo classic. The group stormed the club charts in the mid '80s with their Freestyle classic Running. Inspired by the worldwide response to the single, the group seized the opportunity and moved to New York to record their major label debut, Information Society, for Tommy Boy/Reprise. Producer Fred Maher was brought in, fresh from his work on Kraftwerk's Electric Café album, and helped Robb & co. craft a tight pop sound. Initial buzz for the first single What's On Your Mind (Pure Energy) was intense, and proved to be accurate; by the time the group got to its first in-store appearance, two days after the record's release, the album was sold out. 2014 is proving to be quite a year for the band. With history's tendency to repeat itself, it appears INSOC are poised for another takeover. _Hello World, indeed.Land Of The Blind

It's Time (Out Of Stock)Jimmy D. Lane's guitar playing will knock you over. His control of his guitar, from the most delicate tonal nuances to the flashiest, fastest licks, is almost superhuman. Only the most masterful guitar players can command their instruments this way, and all the practice in the world can't develop it. Jimmy D. Lane is a natural-born guitar monster. - Bob Margolin, guitarist in the Muddy Waters Band for seven years
It's Time could just as well have been titled It's Overdue. It's long been time for one of today's most powerful and expressive musicians to break the chains of relative commercial obscurity. Time to seize the reins of blues leadership, just as his father, Jimmy Rogers, did in the 1940s. Masters Eddie Kramer (engineer for Hendrix, Zeppelin, Woodstock etc.), Chris Whipper Layton and Tommy Shannon (of Double Trouble) and Mike Finnigan (organ in the bands of Etta James, Taj Mahal and CSN&Y) are all onboard to give Jimmy the nudge he needs to clear the launching pad. It's Time.
Just wanted to let you know how much Frank and I are enjoying Jimmy D. Lane's new CD - It's Time. It is truly wonderful! We are looking forward to experiencing the Blues Masters concert in Oct. Take care and thanks so much for such a hauntingly awesome CD. Please convey to him that we are hoping not to wear out the CD we enjoy it so much. - Peggy Ulasek, Maryland
Lane's certainly got the goods. The guitarist and singer - he plays bass and drums, too, on a pair of tracks - wrote all but one of the disc's 12 songs. And he's got a knack for mixing Hendrix- and Vaughan-influenced contemporary blues with old-school roots learned from his father...what makes It's Time a fun listen is its textural variety...Kramer's production offers a bright, modern sound that still has the warm feel of live performance. He and Lane keep the set tightly focused...For Jimmy D. Lane, now's as good a time as any. - Michael Cote, Blues Revue, February/March 2005Side One
