    This Year's Model (On Sale)

Ranked 98/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The first record he made with his legendary backing band the Attractions, This Years Model is Elvis Costellos most explosive and urgent album. Picking up where his fine My Aim Is True left off, the British singer/guitarist blasts through 13 excellent tracks with the fervent purpose and headlong pace of someone who has a cab waiting for him outside.

Stylistically versatile, deeply varied, and melodically catchy, this where Costello came into his ownand where the chemistry between virtuosic keyboardist Steve Nieve, bassist Bruce Thomas, and drummer Pete Thomas produced one of rocks best groups. A dynamic maelstrom of emotional spite, bitter frustration, sexual angst, and caustic political commentary, the 1978 set boosted Costellos star and yielded innumerable standards: the undying MOR protest Radio Radio, fervent Pump It Up, smart (I Dont Want to Go to) Chelsea, and spunky No Action are all here.

While often cited as Costellos angry record, This Years Model has more to do with disappointments and denials. The album bursts forth with a savage energy not possible without the Attractions, which are responsible for the songs being built from the ground up. Where Costellos voice and twangy guitar dominate My Aim Is True, here, sizzling rhythms and Nieves colorful organ runs anchor the foundations. This is a group effort, with Costellos biting lyrics taking chances and forcing the listener to mull double meanings all the while the music zooms by at a fast clip.

More than 30 years after its original release, This Years Model will still leave you breathless. Railing against unachievable desires, Costello and company delight in the anguish, and spit such torment back out in the form of hook-ridden music that functions as a brilliant form of situational confirmation and emotional catharsis.

Half-speed mastered from the original tapes, Mobile Fidelitys numbered limited-edition 180-gram LP brings This Years Models vicious songs to the forefront like never before. Punchier, gutsier, and livelier than any of the myriad CD remasters, this analog edition offers a transparent window onto the Attractions' loose interplay, Nieve's carnivalesque organ work, and rabid pounce of the Thomas-Thomas rhythm section. Here, for the first time, are previously buried tones, textures, and details. It took years to happen, but this is how This Years Model was always supposed to sound.

    Model Shop

SPIRIT THE GROUNDBREAKING L.A. COMBO EQUALLY swayed by moody jazz and Hendrix-style rockn rollwas born to record movie soundtracks. Unfortunately, they cut only one, for the seldom-seen 1969 Jacques Demy film Model Shop, but what a triumph it is: a magical blend of John Lockes eerie keyboards, the soaring guitar of Randy California and Jay Fergusons impassioned vocals and percussion, backed by the rock-steady bass and drums of Mark Andes and Ed Cassidy. Its mindboggling that something as dazzling as the Model Shop soundtrackrecorded by the classic Spirit lineup has been languishing unreleased in the vaults for over 35 years! The stuff of longplaying-legends and vinyl-myths, this full-length album was recorded in late 1968, but the completed master was shelved before release. Rescued from obscurity at last by Sundazed, this much rumored film-score gem is now center-stage where it can take a much deserved bow.

    Breaking The Model

Nashville, Tennessee-based melodic hard rockers New Medicine, led by singer/rhythm guitarist Jake Scherer, are ready to drop their first
release, BREAKING THE MODEL on new label home, Imagen Records. This will be the follow-up to 2010s 'Race You to the Bottom,' which
nearly topped the US Heatseekers Chart, and spawned such popular songs/videos as "Laid," "Rich Kids," and "Race You to the Bottom."
Scherer explains, "The writing process began 3 1/2 years ago, as I wrote over 40 songs for the new release. New Medicine has been road
testing some of the new material, seeing what tunes the audiences react strongest to, and tweaking the new songs to make it more cohesive
and translate well live. We moved from Minneapolis to Nashville to focus on the new songs, and experienced a creative re-birth, which I am
confident will take the band to a new level. The songs come first - New Medicine is not making the same record over again."

New Medicine has created a buzz from coast to coast over the past few years by scoring a Top 15 Mediabase Active Rock hit with Race You To
The Bottom and touring relentlessly for 3 years on package tours like Carnival Of Madness and Uproar Festival and with the likes of Avenged
Sevenfold, Shinedown, and more, selling over 30,000 albums in the process. And once BREAKING THE MODEL is released, New Medicine
plan to hit the road hard again, including headline dates, package tours and festival dates.

    A Portable Model Of (Pre-Order)

Chicago's Joan of Arc blend post-rock's atmospherics and punk's volume and dynamics. Three members came from the emocore band Cap'n Jazz; when that band broke up, the trio wanted to change their musical direction, removing the boundaries and structures of punk and including more experimental elements like tape loops and electronics. Calling themselves Joan of Arc, the group went on tour with their friends the Promise Ring (who also featured ex-Cap'n Jazz members) in August 1996. After spending the fall of that year writing and recording, the band re-emerged in 1997 with A Portable Model of Joan of Arc, their full-length debut. The album continued Joan of Arc's evolution into an equally hard-hitting and progressive outfit that appealed to emo and post-rock fans alike. The following year they returned with How Memory Works, a more clearly stated version of their ambitious style. Joan of Arc rang in 1999 with the release of Live in Chicago 1999. In February 2003, the band returned with So Much Staying Alive and Lovelessness.

New to the Marantz collection, this excellent entry-level integrated amplifier breaks all the rules. That's because it's the first in its class to offer current feedback architecture - a feature that normally is reserved for the more expensive models. This technology provides very fast and accurate signal handling, which results in perfectly balanced stereo sound reproduction as well as a very open and precise sound stage. It's also been recently enhanced with performance-optimising discrete audio circuitry and fine-tuning components. In addition, this year's model looks a little more stylish than last year's, thanks to new elegant knob design. On top of that, it comes with a new remote and a new low-power stand-by and auto stand-by mode.

    180 Gram Vinyl

Re-mastered from the original master tapes, this classic Elvis Costello album is now on 180 gram vinyl. Armed
Forces features the original U.S. cover and includes a 7" EP of "Live at Hollywood High." This album hit #10 on the Billboard Top 100 and highlights include "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace Love And Understanding?," "Oliver's Army" and "Accidents Will Happen."

Largely written on tour in hotel rooms and on the bus, Elvis Costellos Armed Forces takes personal politics to a new level. A supremely melodic and hook-laden record, the 1979 set is a showcase of scintillating keyboard lines, sharp guitar work, and the most cohesive arrangements of Costello and the Attractions career. In every way, this is a pop masterpiece, defined by hits such as Accidents Will Happen, Olivers Army, and the anthemic Whats So Funny Bout Peace Love and Understanding? You need this record.

While less musically intense than the preceding This Years Model, Armed Forces doesnt let up in the lyric department. Costellos narratives are loaded with paranoia, irony, bitterness, and scathing humor. Originally titled Emotional Fascism, the singers third consecutive masterpiece is inspired by billboard sign slogans, insular observations, and social behavior that Costello found applicable to his own situation. Olivers Army, Green Shirt, and Senior Service address systemic governmental control. Big Boys, Two Little Hitlers, and Accidents Will Happen also concern control and betrayalbut that of the interpersonal nature.

Universally Hailed 1982 Pop Masterpiece Pairs Costello and Co. With Beatles Engineer Geoff Emerick

Record Topped Village Voices Pazz & Jop Critics Poll In Year of Its Original Release

Lavish Instrumentation, Involved Arrangements, and Piano-Based Melodies Frame Ambitious Songs That Address Domestic Malaise While Coming Off as Upbeat

Half-Speed Mastered from the Original Master Tapes: Imperial Bedroom Joins Mobile Fidelitys Pristine LP Reissues of Costellos My Aim Is True, This Years Model, Armed Forces, Get Happy!!, and Almost Blue

Recorded with famed Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick, Imperial Bedroom stands as Elvis Costello and the Attractions most highly decorated traditional pop album. Boasting sumptuous arrangements, large-scale instrumentation, ambitious layers, Tin Pan Alley melodies, and orchestrated devices, the 1982 record is a testament to studio creativity and ornate production. Amidst the lavish settings beats the heart of Costellos biting, brutal lyrics that confront domestic malaise and sober emotional reflection. Its little wonder the intelligent effort took top honors in the Village Voices Pazz & Jop Critics Poll.

Not that audiences back in the day ever had the privilege of hearing Imperial Bedroom at its maximum potential. Now they can. Half-speed mastered from the original master tapes, Mobile Fidelitys numbered limited edition 180g LP opens up the soundstages, expands the depth, and brings the genius of the grand arrangements into clear focus. In particular, the sound of the piano will have you believe that the 88s are situated right in your room, and never before has Emericks crafty sonic precision been so readily apparent. This is a huge-sounding record that demands full frequency extension and astute separation. Mobile Fidelitys reissue delivers on all fronts. You need to hear this!

Ranked in 2005 by Rolling Stone at #166 on the magazines prestigious list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, Imperial Bedroom overflows with contagious pop, savvy torch, cabaret, chamber, and jazz-influenced fare. If its details you seek, then look no further. With Emerick's assistance, each tune is distinguished with painstaking sonic accents, blended rhythms, counterpoint bass lines, dazzling passages, and inventive motifs. Accordions, tremolo guitars, organs, harpsichords, marimbas, horns, and an assortment of other instruments help color the subtly dark canvases. A 40-piece orchestra graces the gorgeous And In Every Home.

Originally intended to be a stripped-down affair, Imperial Bedroom reflects Costello's migration to composing on piano as well as his listening tastes at the time: Billie Holliday, Cole Porter, Frank Sinatra, Debussy. Intricate, expansive, and complex without ever sounding inaccessible, the record includes the now-classic Man Out of Time, Beyond Belief, and Almost Blue, the latter a ballad that Chet Baker included in his live sets until he passed away. In another stroke of brilliance, Costello used the record as an opportunity to address the melancholic changes in both his own personal situation as well as that of England, the songs functioning as smart, sometimes satirical dialogues on issues such as disenchantment, identity, and relationships.

Still considered by many the finest record released in 1982, don't pass up this extraordinary-sounding reissue.

    Stiff

Three years on from their critically acclaimed "barbeque" record Corsicana Lemonade, White Denim are back with more than just a new album to commemorate. Their sixth record, Stiff - out 25 March 2016 via Downtown/Sony Red - is a return to the Austin quartet's frenetic rock band roots, and is both a jubilant thrill ride and joyous celebration of their past ten years. Heading into the studio with an external producer to oversee a whole album for the first time - and even writing a tune with Cass McCombs ('Thank You') - the band teamed up with the legendary Ethan Johns (Paul McCartney, Laura Marling, The Staves) to produce their first truly live record, one teeming with a cool '70s undertow, tumultuous riffs and a feverish energy that's resulted in arguably some of their biggest and brawniest songs to date.

With drummer Joshua Block and guitarist Austin Jenkins now pursuing other production ventures, vocalist/guitarist James Petralli and bassist Steve Terebecki spent a long time reassessing exactly what White Denim meant to them. "The big thing for Steve and I was trying to define what made us want to keep going," Petralli explains of the album's early days. "What's our partnership about? What's cool about this? We learnt a lot making D and Corsicana Lemonade. We wanted to take some of those lessons and apply it back to our original mission statement. We were trying to get back to some of the things that made us excited about the band in the first place."

Opener 'Had 2 Know (Personal)' is the embodiment of that mission statement. Described by Petralli as "a reassertion of our initial intent to make songs that satisfy our urge to play fast", it sets the tone brilliantly for the bulk of Stiff, right from its idiosyncratic, Red Krayola-sampling beginning to its huge, golden era chorus. While it remains distinctively White Denim, there's a reinvigoration permeating through its riffs via new guitarist Jonathan Horne and a beefed-up rhythm section thanks to the work of new drummer Jeffrey Olson. Every single high octane turn - from the tremendously fun 'Ha Ha Ha Ha (Yeah)' to the outrageously shredding 'Holda You (I'm Psycho)' - sounds like a band re-energised and revitalised, resulting in what Petralli describes as a "high heat, high energy, good times record". Having previously sold out Shepherd's Bush Empire and having toured with Tame Impala and Arctic Monkeys, Stiff is full to the brim with songs that sound ready to now lift White Denim to similar heights.

For the most part, Stiff is an album crammed with adrenaline-fuelled sing-alongs that show off the band's staple technical abilities. But it's also one that sees some new shades that they've developed along the way, too. Citing new wave and the razor-sharp pop punk of Buzzcocks as influences this time round, there's an addictive Elvis Costello circa This Year's Model quality to 'Real Deal Momma', a tune that highlights the band's love for hummable synthesisers and curious, affecting oddities. Then there's the cow bell calm and backing vocals laden brilliance of 'I'm The One (Big Big Fun)', that along with 'Take It Easy (Ever After Lasting Love)' (a song Petralli says "wants to be on a collection of doo wop songs written in 2016") shows a softer and more intricate side to the band while fully emphasising Petralli's vocal excellence.

Of the artwork - which was created by collagist Eugenia Loli - was inspired and worked from the band's previous album covers and videos as a visual template. Ultimately, it's a fleeting visit to a place the band have been before, with the covers of Workout Holiday and D being collages too. Stiff was even originally stylised 'Stif', which when spelt backwards spells out the title of their second full-length Fits. Then there's 'Mirrored In Reverse', a nod to the Fits track 'Mirrored And Reverse'. "I mean, we're ten!" Petralli says in disbelief while explaining all of the record's throwbacks. "We did think about naming this record Ten and referencing the Pearl Jam cover!"

Recorded with nothing but equipment that Petralli describes as being "past a certain point in the '70s", he explains that Stiff is an album made "entirely the old way". "It was tracked live to 16-track tape with very little overdubs," he says. "It was very hardcore record making - traditional in every aspect." Recorded with Ethan Johns in Asheville, North Carolina over a twenty-day period, Petralli and the band had an intense but deeply educational time with Johns. "It was really cool. The guy had these stories that were just unbelievable. He started talking about playing with Jimmy Page when he was a kid, and he lived in the studio where The Rolling Stones and The Faces would just hang out. Having Ethan in the room pushing us really made it more of an 'in the moment' and a visual thing. Capturing live performances is what he does really well."

To make things even more celebratory, there was an extra ten day stint spent with go-to White Denim man Jim Vollentine, who Petralli describes as "my guy, man". He continues: "we've made a lot of records together now. When we left the studio in Asheville with Ethan, we thought we gotta work on this record some more, you know? Though it was really just mixing, which we did with respect to Ethan's arrangements and his recording. I feel like I really haven't made anything like this before."

Ultimately, Stiff is the sound of a band finding their feet again and having the time of their lives. It's a record that refuses to buckle under the pressures of life, instead offering up a soundtrack to sing, dance, shout and scream along to. As a White Denim album, it's a joyride through the past ten years of the band's idiosyncratic catalogue while simultaneously pushing things further forward into new territories. "It's similar to our first record [Workout Holiday] in that we found the initial energy and just went with that," Petralli says of the initial studio spark that started it all. "We thought, what's the fundamental thing that made us want to get into a van and quit our terrible jobs and start this whole thing in the first place? And it was loud, fast-playing, rock and roll."

The model where men control everything, and there's a woman singing on top of music that men have produced, for men's gratification, is breaking down, says Cicely Goulder. It's reinforced with children all the time, that girls should be doing specific roles. But it definitely is changing. Kaleida, who write, record, mix and produce all their music themselves, are a part of that change.

The electropop duo met when Christina Wood, who had spent many years looking for a musical partner, was put in contact with Cicely by a friend. The creative chemistry was there from the start. I feel like we intuitively get each other, says Cicely, who was working in film music at the time but jumped at the chance to produce Christina's vocal-led demos. Christina agrees. We have a special chemistry that?s not something you find all the time.

Tear The Roots, Kaleida's debut LP, offers a deep, unsettling kind of pop.

    Rusty Bryant Returns

Rusty Bryant, a veteran R&B tenor player, was somewhat forgotten at the time of his debut Prestige album, but due to the commercial success of this recording, Bryant would record seven more sessions for Prestige during the next five years. Actually, this date is a bit surprising, with Bryant sticking exclusively to alto and sometimes using an electrified model similar to what Lou Donaldson was playing at the time. The music (mostly blues-oriented originals) is enjoyable, with plenty of boogaloos and soulful vamps. In addition to Bryant, the main soloists are guitarist Grant Green, in excellent form, and organist Sonny Phillips.

Gacy's Place: The Undiscovered Corpses (Awaiting Repress)

Of all the hotly sought-after original Killed-By-Death punk singles, few to none are as notorious - or mysterious - as the Gacy's Place EP by The Mentally Ill. The sleeve, the topics, the so-horrible-it's-amazing production values, that voice. Many in the know crown it the sickest punk record ever made. But there is more - much more. The Gacy's Place sessions yielded eight songs - only three were ever released.

A dig in the ol' crawlspace turned up even cruder earlier demos with alternate versions of the EP songs, plus over half-a-dozen others, heard only by a handful of people. A true labor of man-boy love, it took Jello Biafra years to pry this loose from the band. They kept insisting each album be housed in a 3-foot wide scale model of Gacy's house itself!

Now their affliction has subsided enough so that everyone finally has a chance to save their $200 evil-Bay bucks and grab a whole album's worth of mental illness before their condition comes back. Gacy's Place: The Undiscovered Corpses compiles all three recording sessions by The Mentally Ill: The Starbeat Sessions, The Basement Sessions and The Crawlspace Sessions for a total of 20 tracks, nearly all previously unreleased!

Replacing the multi award winning and five times What Hi-Fi? Product of the Year (RP3) was never going to be an easy task. It took a team of designers headed up by Rega's Roy Gandy, two years to develop the all new 'Planar 3' following the biggest re-design of the iconic 'three' model ever seen.

The Rega team has worked tirelessly to improve every aspect of this turntable offering improved ergonomics, usability and first and foremost, sonic performance. The new 'Planar 3' is truly a new turntable for 2016 carrying over just two components from the previous model.

New features of the Planar Three:

RB330 tonearm - Designed using the latest 3D CAD & CAM technology, the new RB330 is the culmination of more than 35 years of tonearm design experience. Featuring a brand new bearing housing, and our latest tonearm tube designed using intelligent redistribution of mass ensure this arm will exhibit fewer points of possible resonance. Extreme stability with almost friction free movement from the new high precision bearing assemblies guarantees to gather more information from your vinyl than ever before.

    • Featuring a new bias assembly, re-designed stiffer vertical bearing housing, integrated
arm clip and an improved spring housing with easier to read numbers.
    • Rega made, new low capacitance phono cable with Neutrik plugs,
    • Improved lower friction, precision horizontal and vertical bearings
    • New design 100g mild steel balance weight.

Plinth - High gloss acrylic, laminated plinth, stiffer and vastly improved appearance, ergonomically positioned power switch. Two plinth finishes at launch: gloss black & gloss white

Double braces - Improved thicker 3mm phenolic bottom brace and new metalised skin phenolic top brace.

Bearing housing - Re-designed brass main hub central bearing, improved fit and construction reducing stress on the bearing itself.

Sub platter - Re-designed sub platter, improved accuracy and improved stiffness.

Platter - New float glass 'Optiwhite' polished rim 12mm - Improved accuracy in manufacture and stunning looks.

Re-designed foot - New improved foot to increase stability and reduce vibration transfer.

24V motor - Improved new motor control PCB with integration for the addition of TT-PSU for electronic speed change and improved advanced anti-vibration circuit (sold separately).

Motor cover tray with integrated cooling.

    DB Technology (Double Brace Technology)

Mass absorbs energy - lost energy equals lost music!

Rega has pioneered the use of lightweight rigid plinths. Clever use of lightweight particulate core with a highly rigid phenolic resin skin became the foundations of the high level of performance achieved by the now iconic original Planar range.

The new Planar 3 takes this design philosophy to the next level. A lightweight acrylic laminated plinth strengthened using a new improved double brace system mounted specifically where the increased rigidity is required (between the tonearm mounting and the main hub bearing) which forms a structurally sound stressed beam assembly. This rigid plinth design prevents energy absorption and unwanted resonance, which will add unnatural distortions to the music.

Equally, heavier mass can transfer more unwanted energy, such as motor or bearing noise directly into the rotating record. The use of braces instead of the complete skin allows double thickness phenolic resin in these key areas while providing further weight reduction to the plinth which directly addresses the issue of mass absorption and unwanted energy transmission.

    Hand assembled RB330 tonearm.

24v low noise motor / 12mm float glass platter.

    Lightweight double braced plinth.

    Precision main bearing.

Factory fitted Elys2 MM cartridge or mounted with Ortofon 2m Blue cartridge (optional).

Compatible with the TT-PSU electronic speed change and power supply box (optional).

    The Missing Links

Deluxe Reissue OF 1965 Aussie Garage Rarity with Bonus 7 EP

Though they have different approaches, a common thread runs through Australian bands like the Saints, Hoodoo Gurus, Midnight Oil and AC/DC: an aggressive, take-no-prisoners posture designed to grab audiences by the throat. This direct crowd-band interaction is essential on the rough-and-tumble Oz pub circuit, where if the group doesn't deliver the goods, they're likely to go down in a hail of lager cans. Whatever it is that puts the raw in Antipodean rawk, it's been there from the beginning. For proof, check the wild, outrageous sounds of the Missing Links. Formed in Sydney in 1964, a series of personnel changes eventually replaced all original members, leaving vocalist Andy Anderson, guitarist Doug Ford, drummer Baden Hutchens, bassist Ian Thomas and Chris Gray on keyboards. It was this lineup that recorded the band's 1965 debut album, The Missing Links. An instant garage punk classic, The Missing Links took the UK R&B combo model and drenched it in attitude and feedback, making contemporaries like the Troggs and the Who appear tame by comparison. The sonic guitar meltdown at the end of "You're Drivin' Me Insane" presages Jimmy Page's Zeppelin liftoff by a full three years while "Wild About You" defies description, except to say it still sounds shocking nearly 50 years on.

This slice of vigorous vinyl became one of the most prized acquisitions for garage punk fans the world over, with each successive wave of Down Under musical malcontents spreading its legend. The globe-trotting team at Sundazed has now restored the album in all its magnificent MONO glory! What more could you want? Well, how about the IMPOSSIBLY rare EP, The Links Unchained, featuring four more cuts of mid-Sixties madness!?! For a limited time, Sundazed is offering both of these audacious aural artifacts in one convenient package!

    How Memory Works (Pre-Order)

    Chicago Jazz Festival 1990

Classic late period festival show from Miles' final tour.

Miles Davis is backed by Kenny Garrett on alto saxophone and flute, Kei Agaki on synths, Richard Patterson on bass, Ricky Wellman on drums, Erin Davis (Mile's youngest son, incorrectly announced as John Bigham) on electronic percussion, and John "Foley" McCreary, Jr. on "lead bass" - a custom Blue Marble instrument tuned almost an octave higher than a standard model to fill the role of a lead guitarist.

The choice of material was equally as curious and exciting, consisting of one cut apiece from 1983's Star People and 1989's Amandla, a few numbers previously un-released on studio recordings, and a trio of covers - Scritti Politti's 'Perfect Way,' Cyndi Lauper's 'Time After Time' and Michael Jackson's 'Human Nature.'

Despite rumors of failing health during this period, Miles' playing is just as sharp and energetic as ever it was, and his band expertly blend together a complex mixture of jazz, funk and fusion.

Broadcast live on local radio for those unable to attend, this release captures the group's full set providing a snapshot of a jazz great giving one of the finest performances of his late career. Sadly, there were scant opportunities left for such as little more than a year after performing the show, now available here for the first time, Miles Davis passed away at the age of 65.

    Pinetop Perkins

Perkins began his blues existence primarily as a guitarist, but a mid-40's encounter with an outraged knife-toting chorus girl at a nightspot left him with severed tendons in his left arm. That dashed his guitar aspirations, but Joe Willie Perkins came back strong from the injury, concentrating solely on piano. He traveled to Helena with Robert Nighthawk in 1943, playing with the elegant slide guitarist on his radio program. Perkins soon switched over to rival Sonny Boy Williamson's beloved King Biscuit Time radio show and remained for an extended period.

Perkins accompanied Nighthawk on a 1950 session for the Chess brothers that produced Jackson Town Gal, but Chicago couldn't hold him at the time. He hit the road, pausing at Sam Phillips's studios in Memphis long enough for Perkins to wax his first version of Pinetop's Boogie Woogie in 1953, then headed back to the windy city in 1969 when Otis Spann split from Muddy Waters. That is when the stage was set for Pinetop Perkins's reemergence. It was only then that his rolling mastery of the ivories began to assume outsized proportions.

After joining Muddy Waters, Pinetop made up for precious lost time in the studio. Discs for Antone's, Omega (Portrait of a Delta Bluesman, a solo outing that includes fascinating interview segments), Deluge, Earwig, and several other firms ensure that his boogie legacy won't be forgotten in decades to come.

Pinetop at a young 87 years old admits he wasn't the originator of the seminal piano piece Pinetop's Boogie Woogie, but it's a safe bet that more people associate it nowadays with Pinetop than with the man who devised it in the first place, Clarence Pinetop Smith. Pinetop plays 6 songs on a Steinway Concert Grand 9' model D with Jimmy D. Lane on guitar.
