With their luminous brand of electro-pop, London-based trio Years & Years layer sweetly smooth vocals over bright and heady beats to create what they call "music you can dance and cry to." They are winners of the BBC Sound of2015 Poll (an honor previously granted to such hitmakers as Sam Smith, Adele, and Ellie Goulding).

    This Year's Best Disaster

Available on Vinyl for the First Time in The United States!

With former members of Garrison, Texas Is The Reason, Thursday, and Milhouse making up the lineup of I Hate Our Freedom, there wasn't a doubt that the band's second release, This Year's Best Disaster, could be anything short of jaw dropping. The disc, which will be the first available vinyl in the States, is a nostalgic collection of post-hardcore from the '90s. Featuring loud, gritty and raw vocals, edgy grooves, sleek riffs and loud drums, "3am New York City" encompasses the attitude of the sleepless city. Seamless quarter glides into "Sans Sympathie," which is a bit mellower than the previous sucker-punching cut, but keeps the release moving. As This Year's Best Disaster continued on, it was nearly impossible to not get excited to see what the next track had to offer. The combined forces of the talented veterans created something that isn't seen too often lately.

This Year's Best Disaster peaks during the brash "Second Telling Of A First Degree." The number throttles the entire album into overdrive with its nimble and lively instruments, and Joseph Grillo's bold and rugged voice makes its mark on the listener. As much as each cut has its own unique qualities that add to their wow factor, "Letterbomb" lacks the extra oomph that the other pieces on the collection have. Despite the setback, which really doesn't severely impact the disc, I Hate Our Freedom makes a full recovery. Despite each song on This Year's Best Disaster having their own strong points, the final four cuts are some of the most intense on the album. Leaving two of the strongest pieces to close it out, I Hate Our Freedom creates the need to replay the angsty disc all over again.

    This Year's Model

    180 Gram Vinyl

Elvis Costello's follow-up to his debut release is now on 180 gram vinyl re-mastered from the original master tapes. This was Elvis's first album with The Attractions and includes the songs "Pump It Up," "I Don't Want To Go To (Chelsea)" and "Radio, Radio."

Stylistically versatile, deeply varied, and melodically catchy, this where Costello came into his ownand where the chemistry between virtuosic keyboardist Steve Nieve, bassist Bruce Thomas, and drummer Pete Thomas produced one of rocks best groups. A dynamic maelstrom of emotional spite, bitter frustration, sexual angst, and caustic political commentary, the 1978 set boosted Costellos star and yielded innumerable standards: the undying MOR protest Radio Radio, fervent Pump It Up, smart (I Dont Want to Go to) Chelsea, and spunky No Action are all here. While often cited as Costellos angry record,

This Years Model has more to do with disappointments and denials. The album bursts forth with a savage energy not possible without the Attractions, which are responsible for the songs being built from the ground up. Where Costellos voice and twangy guitar dominate My Aim Is True, here, sizzling rhythms and Nieves colorful organ runs anchor the foundations. This is a group effort, with Costellos biting lyrics taking chances and forcing the listener to mull double meanings all the while the music zooms by at a fast clip.

    This Year's Model (On Sale)

Ranked 98/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The first record he made with his legendary backing band the Attractions, This Years Model is Elvis Costellos most explosive and urgent album. Picking up where his fine My Aim Is True left off, the British singer/guitarist blasts through 13 excellent tracks with the fervent purpose and headlong pace of someone who has a cab waiting for him outside.

This is a group effort, with Costellos biting lyrics taking chances and forcing the listener to mull double meanings all the while the music zooms by at a fast clip.

More than 30 years after its original release, This Years Model will still leave you breathless. Railing against unachievable desires, Costello and company delight in the anguish, and spit such torment back out in the form of hook-ridden music that functions as a brilliant form of situational confirmation and emotional catharsis.

Half-speed mastered from the original tapes, Mobile Fidelitys numbered limited-edition 180-gram LP brings This Years Models vicious songs to the forefront like never before. Punchier, gutsier, and livelier than any of the myriad CD remasters, this analog edition offers a transparent window onto the Attractions' loose interplay, Nieve's carnivalesque organ work, and rabid pounce of the Thomas-Thomas rhythm section. Here, for the first time, are previously buried tones, textures, and details. It took years to happen, but this is how This Years Model was always supposed to sound.

    Early Years

Sierra Records presents their most ambitious project ever, literally in the works for decades, with the Gram Parsons The Early Years Box Set. This exclusive, collectors edition is packaged in a 12 x 12 high gloss full color, rigid deluxe, presentation box, containing 4 distinct discs: CD1: Gram Parsons The Early Years Vol. 1 & 2; CD2: Big Mouth Blues - A Conversation with Gram Parsons; DVD: rare and only performance of Gram Parsons and the Fallen Angels; and Gram Parsons The Early Years Volume 1 picture disc vinyl. The set also includes a new 24 page color booklet/pictorial and posters!

CD1 is the first ever release on compact disc of the now classic and ground breaking, Gram Parsons The Early Years Volume 1 (1963-65) folk recordings of Gram Parsons and the Shilos with all original tracks from the 1979 LP. Added to these original ten tracks, will be the never released in any format, Volume 2 of lost early recordings focusing on Gram's solo efforts recorded by Dick Weissman including several never before heard Parsons' compositions! Continuing on this expanded compact disc are recordings by Gram Parsons & The Like, his experimental band from his brief stay in late 1965 at Harvard University. This includes a rare performance with the late actor, turned singer, Brandon deWilde. Closing out this disc is the holy grail of lost Gram Parsons recordings; Brandon deWilde singing lead, with Gram on Do Right Woman and Hickory Wind.

CD2 features Big Mouth Blues: A Conversation with Gram Parsons, a full color digipak packaged release of a 76 minute interview with Gram Parsons conducted in 1972. He speaks about his musical influences, his formation of the eclectic, International Submarine Band, his part in creating and encouraging the Byrds' Sweetheart of the Rodeo album, his hopes for and disappointments with, the iconoclast Flying Burrito Brothers, his plans for a solo career and his enduring musical vision. Hearing his story in his own words and voice will give you a better glimpse of Gram Parsons, the man.

The accompanying DVD features the official release of the original video tape of the rare and only performance of Gram Parsons and the Fallen Angels. Though the video quality was not very good to begin with, the aging video tape has been enhanced utilizing today's newest digital video technology. Additional never seen before, non-performance footage from the show has been added which includes longer introductions by Gram on stage. As an added bonus, a very rare video performance closes the DVD with Gram performing a lip sync version of Hot Burrito #1.

The long lost, recently discovered 1979 picture disc vinyl LP features Gram Parsons The Early Years, Volume 1 with a color picture of Gram on Side 1 and on Side 2 the original full color Sierra-Briar Records orange crate' logo. Originally conceived in April of 1979, only one test pressing of the disc existed until now! The disc is playable on any phonograph turntable, recorded and pressed in magnificent Mono. But there is more! This collector's vinyl disc is even more unique as the disc was pressed on 180g pure virgin vinyl, highly sought after today by audiophiles everywhere! It is packaged in it's own clear plastic sleeve.

Booklet: A new 24 page booklet/pictorial with additional accompanying notes and featuring photographs by noted Life Magazine photographer Ted Polumbaum. Entitled Gram Parsons at Harvard - Fall 1965 with commentary by Harvard grad (Class of 1968) and fellow Gram classmate, David Johnson, these never before seen, let alone published, photographs capture Gram's brief stay as an incoming freshman at Harvard University in the Fall of 1965. See Gram at his desk studying, going to class, hanging out with teachers and students, playing his guitar, composing new songs plus photos of Gram Parsons and the Like (John Nuese, Ian Dunlap, Mickey Gauvin, Tom Scott). Commissioned by Life/Look Magazine for a proposed pictorial on the incoming college freshmen of 1965, these photos are incredible and Gram never looked better. These were photographs were shot just days before he would leave Harvard to head for New York moving in with new found music contemporary, Brandon deWilde, famed actor and now budding country singer!

Posters: Folded posters of Gram Parsons at the Chateau Marmont 1969 (24 x 36 poster) and two versions of the Pete Frame's Gram Parsons Rock Family Tree The Grievous Angel and Gram & Emmylou (both posters are 18x 24).

The new record began with the same surprise turn that started Corin Tucker's career back in 1991, ended Sleater-Kinney's 11-year year run in 2006 and inspired the punk-feminist rocker to redefine herself as a stay-at-home mom. It was early 2009, and Tucker was performing at a benefit show in her hometown of Portland, OR airing out a couple of new songs. Another benefit, and another pair of unheard tunes, followed a few weeks later. The reaction from friends, fans and perfect strangers was unanimous. Cue the wrenching rhythms and hard-angle melodies, the slashing guitars and wildly passionate vocals of 1,000 Years. Only now the hard edges come nestled in lush weaves of acoustic guitars, keyboards, interlocking percussion, even cellos and violins, which places 1,000 Years deep into Tucker's creative headwaters, another addition to her 20-year catalog of restless songs for restless spirits.

    Alligator Years

Alligator Years expands upon the charming surfy haze of Twinsmith's 2013 eponymous album
and Honestly single, with the band pushing themselves musically while moving toward a more
dynamic pop sound. Each diverse track is imbued with an individual voice and style, and ranges
from propulsive, melodic rock (Seventeen) to buoyantly playful pop (Alligator Years)  from
    soaring, sing-along retro pop (Is It Me) to sumptuous, evocative new wave (Constant Love);
from shimmery, summery  pop (Said and Done, Haunts) to moody, slowburning ballads
(Dust, Carry On). There's a youthful sense of longing and  exploration that permeates the
album, which reflects on the highs and lows, advantages and disadvantages, hopes and fears of
20-something life with crafty, unassuming depth. Not just any band can examine anxiety, uncertainty,
and commitment through  tales of homicidal girlfriends and zombie apocalypses with
    such aplomb.

Written throughout 2014, Alligator Years was recorded in Omaha, NE and Des Moines, IA, with the
production team of The Envy Corps' Luke Pettipoole and Brandon Darner, who's also worked with
Imagine Dragons, as well as Micah Natera.

Twinsmith is: Jordan Smith (vocals, guitar), Oliver Morgan (drums), Matt Regner (guitar, synths),
    and Bill Sharp (bass).

"United Nations is undoubtedly one of the most punk
bands on the planet." - New Noise

"Flesh and bone shouldn't be capable of capturing this kind
of inhuman ferocity with such clarity and technical
    precision." - Pitchfork 8.1

"This album is violent, dark, full of anger and explosiveness
    - and one you shouldn't miss out on." - Punknews

Featuring material recorded between the spring of 1981
and the fall of 2016, the increasingly controversial and
enigmatic punk supergroup United Nations' new album
The Next Four Years picks up where "Never Mind The
Bombings" left off, expanding on their already caustic
sound with an even greater sense of urgency and
aggression. It's a furious homage to the pioneers of punk,
and a scorching critique on the current state of "punk." It is
the most cathartic music of their mysterious career, and
unquestionably some of the most vital heavy music
    released this year.

The Early Years 1965 - 1972 is a comprehensive 27-disc box set that sees Pink Floyd delve into their vast music archive to produce a deluxe package that includes 7 individual book-style volumes, featuring much previously unreleased material. The Early Years box set contains unreleased tracks, BBC Radio Sessions, remixes, outtakes and alternative versions over an incredible 11 hours, 45 mins of audio (made up of 130+ tracks) and live and TV performance in over 14 hours of audio-visual material. The content includes over 20 unreleased songs, more than 7 hours of previously unreleased live audio and over 5 hours of rare concert footage, along with 5 meticulously produced 7 singles in replica sleeves, collectable memorabilia, feature films and new sound mixes. Previously unreleased tracks include 1967's Vegetable Man and In The Beechwoods, which have been mixed for the first time, specially for this release. The Early Years 1965-1972 will give collectors the opportunity to hear the evolution of the band and witness their part in cultural revolutions from their earliest recordings and studio sessions to the years prior to the release of The Dark Side Of The Moon, one of the biggest selling albums of all time. From the single Arnold Layne to the 20-minute epic Echoes, fans will see the invention of psychedelic progressive rock via an insightful collection that explores the Pink Floyd story from the time Roger Waters, Richard Wright, Nick Mason and Syd Barrett met at London's Regent Street Polytechnic, through to Syd's departure and David Gilmour joining to form the iconic lineup.

40+ items of archival memorabilia including: posters, flyers, tour programs, tickets, press advertisements, & much more.

    50 Years Anniversary Album

    180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl

    Gold Foiled Front Sleeve

    8-Page Booklet With Exclusive Photos

Recently, Holland's finest and longest standing Rock band Golden Earring celebrated their 50th anniversary, and it calls for a celebration! Formed as The Tornados in 1961, renamed The Golden Earrings and then shortened to Golden Earring, the band churned out hit after hit as early as their first single Please Go from 1965. The current line-up has been constant since 1970.

The band did extremely well across the ocean with their massive hit Radar Love, which has become a staple on Rock radio ever since. But folks are advised to delve deeper into the band's catalogue; songs on this never-before released on vinyl triple LP compilation include evergreens like Another 45 Miles, She Flies On Strange Wings, Long Blond Animal, Twilight Zone, When The Lady Smiles, Going To The Run, Burning Stuntman and many more.

In all, Golden Earring has released over 25 studio albums, 8 live albums and countless compilations, of which 50 Years Anniversary is without a doubt the most complete. This 3LP compilation contains an 8-page booklet with exclusive photos, its sleeve boasts a gold foil finish and its audio is specially mastered for vinyl.

The First Live Album By Finnish Rock Band Hanoi Rocks, Originally Released In 1984

Recorded In December 1983 At The Marquee Club In London, A Year Before The Death Of Hanoi Rocks' Drummer Razzle

All Those Wasted Years is the first live album by the Finnish rock band Hanoi Rocks, released in 1984. The album was recorded in December 1983 at The Marquee Club in London, about a year before the death of Hanoi Rocks' drummer Razzle. All Those Wasted Years, shows that they were the real deal (as well as a major influence on future raunch-rockers Guns N' Roses). Nearly all of the band's best tracks are included here, such as Back to Mystery City, Motorvatin', Mental Beat, and Taxi Driver. Also included is a triple-shot encore of cover songs: Alice Cooper's Under My Wheels, the Stooges' I Feel Alright (aka 1970), and the Yardbirds/Aerosmith standard Train Kept A-Rollin'.

    Fifteen Quiet Years

Features members June of '44, Rachels, The Sonora Pine, The Shipping News, and Retsin

Includes UNRELEASED BBC studios session from 1994 for the legendary John Peel show

LP Jacket letterpress printed by Jeff Mueller at Desterity Press studio

Remastered at Chicago Mastering Service with Bob Weston

Fifteen Quiet Years is a celebratory document four
years in the making; a repository for all the important Rodan
recordings that fans of Rusty have long wished they could
unearth. The collection includes the 1994 BBC Peel session,
together with all of Rodan's long-out-of-print 7s and
compilation tracks. In 2009, Bob Weston, Jeff Mueller and
Jason Noble lovingly re-mastered the tracks at Chicago
Mastering Service. The packaging for the vinyl album and CD was
designed by Jason Noble and Jeff Mueller, and has been
letterpress printed by Jeff Mueller at his own Dexterity Press
    studio.

Despite the brief time span of their existence (1992-
1994), Rodan appeared on a surprising number of records.
Aside from their classic (and only) full length album Rusty
(1994 on Quarterstick Records), the band released the Aviary
demo cassette, and the How The Winter Was Passed single.
They also contributed tracks to the Compulsiv For Two,
Inclined Plane, and Merry Christmas Is For Rockers
compilations as well as releasing a song on the soundtrack to
the film Half Cocked (in which they also acted), and recording
a brilliant session at the BBC studios in London for the John
    Peel show (unreleased until now).

    Cherish The Light Years

Recorded with Chris Coady (Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Cold Caves second album is a tour-de-force of pounding synths and soaring romantic melody. It manages to unite Power, Corruption and Lies-era New Order, late 70s Scott Walker, and the dark stadium pop of mid-period Depeche Mode, with the sensibilities of artists like LCD Soundsystem and The National. Drawing from all these influences, bandleader Wesley Eisold has crafted a tightly wrought, ambitious love letter to New York City. With his deep vocals fully to the fore on every track, Cherish The Light Years is a remarkable progression from 2008s Love Comes Close.

Eisold is backed by diverse associates: Dominick Fernow (Prurient) on electronics, Jennifer Clavin (Mika Miko) on backing vocal and synthesizer, guitarists Tonie Joy (Moss Icon, Universal Order of Armageddon), Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and Sean Martin (Hatebreed), bassists Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw) and Matt Sweeney (Chavez) and drummer Guy Licata (Hercules and Love Affair).

    Five Years Later

"Something special happens when they play together" observed Robert Palmer in the New York Times, and the participants concurred. "Playing with John is one of my favourite things to do," said Ralph Towner. "I can play as much as when playing solo, and still get to ply my skills as accompanist. John is such an amazing person to play with that, even when he's playing intensely or aggressively, we somehow fit together and there's really no way that we could collide." On Five Years Later, follow-up to their debut duo disc Sargasso Sea, their improvisations draw on a wider sonic palette, to telling effect.

One can hardly imagine Prince, Erykah Badu, or Outkast without the influence of Betty Davis. Her style of raw and revelatory punk-funk defies any notions that women can't be visionaries in the worlds of rock and pop. In recent years, rappers from Ice Cube to Talib Kweli have rhymed over her intensely strong but sensual music. Betty penned the song ''Uptown'' for The Chambers Brothers and wrote the tunes that got The Commodores signed to Motown. The Detroit label soon came calling, pitching a Motown songwriting deal, which Betty turned down. Motown wanted to own everything. Heading to the UK, Marc Bolan of T. Rex urged the creative dynamo to start writing for herself. A common thread throughout Betty's career would be her unbending DIY ethic, which made her quickly turn down anyone who didn't fit with the vision. She would eventually say no to Eric Clapton as her album producer, seeing him as too banal. In 1968, she married Miles Davis and quickly influenced him on the magic of psychedelic rock along with introducing him to Jimi Hendrix-personally inspiring the classic album, Bitches Brew.

Miles and Betty fans have long debated the truth of a near mythological session recorded in Studios B and E at Columbia's 52nd Street Studios on May 14th and 20th, 1969. The landmark session was produced by Miles and Teo Macero and featured Betty on vocals, accompanied by Jimi Hendrix Experience drummer Mitch Mitchell, guitarist John McLaughlin, Herbie Hancock on keys, and Dylan/Miles session bassist Harvey Brooks. Other players included bassist Billy Cox (Band of Gypsys), saxophonist Wayne Shorter, and organist Larry Young. Now, Light In The Attic, with full support from Betty herself, presents these recordings to the public for the very first time. These historic sessions-never heard, never bootlegged-predate Miles' revolutionary album, Bitches Brew, and are the true birth of Miles' jazz-rock explorations, along with the roots for Betty's groundbreaking funk that came years later, starting with her self-titled debut in 1973. While, ultimately, these recordings would go unreleased for nearly half a century, they would greatly shape each of their careers.

The vibe is intrinsically unique, fresh, and futuristic-jazz heavyweights playing psychedelia, rock, and jazz-fusion long before the term became commonplace. The songs include Betty originals and covers of classics by Creedence and Cream. The concepts explored on these previously unheard sessions fueled concepts that wouldn't be fully realized until years later with Miles' seminal On The Corner.

Additionally, included here is the first time rerelease of a 1968 Columbia single, recorded in October 1968 at Columbia Studios in Los Angeles. The session was produced by Jerry Fuller and featured South African maverick Hugh Masekela on trumpet and arrangements, plus members of jazz-funk pioneers The Crusaders-including trombonist Wayne Henderson and pianist Joe Sample. Two of the three tracks included here from this session are previously unreleased.

This deluxe package is a treasure trove for both Betty and Miles fans, including rare documents from the pen of co-producer Teo Macero, rarely seen photos from legendary photographer Baron Wolman, and new interviews with Mrs. Davis herself, Harvey Brooks, and Hugh Masekela-the entire project overseen with Betty's full blessing.

Brendan Canning is the co-founder of the Toronto supergroup Broken Social Scene that includes members of Metric, Do Make Say Think, Stars, as well as Grammy-nominated Feist. One of the most enduring and influential alternative bands of the 00s. Their record 'You Forgot It In People' defined the "indie rock" era and paved the way for Canadian acts like Arcade Fire and Wolf Parade to break out. Canning's third solo album, 'Home Wrecking Years', is his first release with a full band since Broken Social Scene's 2010 release 'Forgiveness Rock Record'.

*'Home Wrecking Years' is backyard barbecue-ready indie album with heavy summertime vibes. Smart and breezy 4-minute pop tunes that run the gamut from 90s-era college rock to tropical baroque pop.

    Long Years In Space

Marinated in influences as mind-splintering as the mushroom folk/rock blast of the Jefferson Airplane as well as the feel-good pristine pop of the Turtles, the Neighb'rhood Childr'n's one album trades hands these days for sums usually mentioned in ransom notes. We've added a dozen unreleased brownies, spun gold from the original session tapes, and Prof. Jud has squeezed the band's legend from vocalist Dyan Hoffman and guitarist Ric Bolz in this latest addition to the Dazed's acclaimed and essential Quakes From The Eureka State series.
