    The 1975

The 1975 are an English, Manchester-based alternative rock band from Wilmslow in Cheshire. The group consists of Matthew Healy (vocals, guitar),
Adam Hann (guitar), George Daniel (drums), and Ross MacDonald (bass). They have released four EPs: Facedown, Sex, Music for Cars and IV.

Matthew Healy, Ross MacDonald, Adam Hann and George Daniel met at Wilmslow High School near Manchester as teenagers and began to play music in 2002. After Hann invited the members to form a band, they passed their early days covering punk songs in a local club. Healy was originally the drummer, but took over vocals after the previous singer left to start another band. Daniel was recruited as the new drummer to complete the final line-up. Their name was inspired by scribblings found in the back page of an old Beat poetry book dated 1 June, The 1975.

The release of their first EP, entitled Facedown, in August 2012 saw the band's first UK airplay on national radio with lead track The City, which featured as part of a BBC Introducing show with Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1. The 1975 once again garnered national radio attention in late 2012, with BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe championing their single Sex. They found mainstream chart success in spring 2013 with single Chocolate, which reached number 19 in the UK singles chart.

    Live In Berlin: 1975

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the founding of Weather Report, the Zawinul estate is proud to release this live document of the supergroups appearance at the 1975 Jazztage Berlin, one of the oldest and most prestigious jazz festivals in Europe. This is the first time that this historic performance has been made available commercially

From the opening strains of Wayne Shorters propulsive Freezing Fire to Joe Zawinuls exotic Badia (a template for the world music movement that would come over a decade later), Live in Berlin, 1975 crackles with an audacious spirit of discovery and daring, underscored by an uncanny sense of group-thinking that allowed the band to be truly in the moment from tune to tune, from bar to bar.

Zarelli is the alter-ego of Carwyn Ellis - a much-coveted tour de force producer multi-instrumentalist who has recently earned plaudits as the man behind the music for 2014 award-winning documentary about Edwyn Collins, The Possibilities Are Endless. For this new project, Zarelli has taken the 1975 vocal recording of Leonard Nimoy reading Ray Bradbury's unsettling but vital short story, There Will Come Soft Rains, and amped up the sensations with an original composed sountrack that is beautiful, fiery, tragic and tense.

The cornerstone of the album consists of dub versions of 4 little-known Derrick Morgan tracks, four versions of Cornell Campbell songs, while the album concentrates heavily on the 1975 'flying cymbal' style of Carlton 'Santa' Davis.

    Get Hurt

New Jersey rockers The Gaslight Anthem return with their eagerly anticipated new album, Get Hurt, through Island Records/Mercury.

Recorded at the legendary Blackbird Studios in Nashville with producer Mike Crossey (The 1975, Arctic Monkeys and Jake Bugg), Get Hurt sees The
Gaslight Anthem pushing their raw stripped back rock 'n' roll into new territory, drawing on a fresh palette of influences ranging from folk, punk, and
Americana. It is an album that is heavier, and yet at the same time more intimate, than anything they have produced to date.

Following the success of their 2012 album Handwritten -- which charted in the Top 10 of the album charts across Europe and America, with the band
playing Wembley Stadium, Glastonbury and Coachella along the way -- The Gaslight Anthem's fifth studio album perfectly shows them thriving creatively
while pushing their horizons artistically. It is a record that oozes the confidence of a band at the very top of their game.

Los Angeles natives, Bad Suns, are pleased to announce the release of their debut album, Language & Perspective. Comprised of eleven tracks,
Language & Perspective moves effortlessly from start to finish showcasing the band's stadium ready anthems and undeniably catchy hooks.Produced by
Eric Palmquist (The Mars Volta, Wavves, Trash Talk) Language & Perspective serves as a follow up to the band's breakout debut EP Transpose, which
hit streets earlier this year. In a short time since their inception, Bad Suns have performed the first single, 'Cardiac Arrest,' on Conan and the track is
already fast approaching Top 20 at Alt Radio with a weekly audience of 1 million plus and building."It's pretty incredible what you can accomplish with
time, work, and patience. Playing our songs to receptive audiences, across the country, has been surreal for us; it's what we've always dreamed of. We're
excited for people to hear the album that we've made, and then come experience it in a live setting," says frontman Christo Bowman. Bad Suns is

    Including 2 Inserts

2 LP Set Contains The Original Score By Theodore Shapiro + The Soundtrack Featuring Tweedy, Bob Dylan, The National And Jefferson Airplane

First Pressing Of 1000 Numbered Copies On Blue Marbled Vinyl

The Soundtrack to the comedy drama St. Vincent (starring Academy Award® nominees Bill Murray, Melissa McCarthy and Naomi Watts), is an irresistible compilation of evergreens and newer hits - including songs from Bob Dylan, The National, and Jefferson Airplane.

This At The Movies release is a very interesting package: next to presenting the song soundtrack, we've also included the Original Score by Theodore Shapiro on a second disc. Each copy of the first pressing is individually numbered and pressed on blue marbled vinyl.

The soundtrack album includes classics from the 1960s and 1970s, such as Bob Dylan's "Shelter From The Storm" from the 1975 album Blood On The Tracks. Tweedy provides two songs: the funky "Everybody Hides" and the laid-back "Why, Why, Why". In between comes a contrasting classic, the straight-hitting vocals of Jefferson Airplane's "Somebody To Love". This was the band's first and biggest hit, a single from the album Surrealistic Pillow in 1967.

    Gatefold Sleeve

First reissue for this ultra-rare prog/rock LP from 1971 which was only ever released in Italy.

Blue Beard managed just one album and it seems likely that it was a studio project, roping in disparate, available musicians to record songs written in the main by Thurman Binkley and Robert Welch, both of whom also produced the set. Recording in Milan, Blue Beard comprised an Indonesian, Luis Noll (electric bass), a Dutchman, Hank Meerbeek (drums), an Irishman, John Irvine (lead electric guitar), an Indian, Errol Dyer (organ), and an Australian, Little Sammy Gaha (acoustic guitar). Judging by the photos on the rear cover, Binkley and Welch chipped in on keyboards and guitar respectively.

Blue Beard is best known for the single Sly Willy, which was released in 1971 across Europe, and is now sought after as a prime slice of funky rock. Its flipside, Country Man, is a pleasing, mellow affair. Copies of the single, in its various picture sleeves, change hands for between £20 and £40. The album itself only surfaced in Italy and is now a scarce item, commanding three figures. Highlights include the rococo pop of Baby I Need You, the heavily-strummed, gruffly-sung God Save The World (reminiscent of Cat Stevens) and the up-tempo proggy rock of Losing You, penned by John Irvine.

Nothing further is known of Blue Beard and its musicians, but Thurman Binkley appears to have contributed to the 1975 film La grande blonde avec une petite chatte noire (that's assuming there's only one Thurman Binkley out there), while Bob Welch was a member of the by now US-based Fleetwood Mac from the summer of 1971 through to 1975, a stalwart through one of their rockiest phases. Welch next formed trio Paris, before embarking on a successful solo career.

    Rumours

Ranked 25/500 On Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time

Rumours is the eleventh studio album by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac. Largely recorded in California during 1976, it was produced by the band with Ken Caillat and Richard Dashut and was released on 4 February 1977 by Warner Bros. Records. The record reached the top of both the United States Billboard chart and the United Kingdom Albums Chart. The songs Go Your Own Way, Dreams, Don't Stop, and You Make Loving Fun were released as singles. Rumours is Fleetwood Mac's most successful release; along with winning the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1978, the record has sold over 40 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time. Rumours has received diamond certifications in several countries, including the US, Canada, and Australia.

The band wanted to expand on the commercial success of the 1975 record Fleetwood Mac, but struggled with relationship breakups before recording started. The Rumours studio sessions were marked by hedonistic behaviour and interpersonal strife among Fleetwood Mac members; these experiences shaped the album's lyrics. Influenced by pop music, the record's tracks were recorded using a combination of acoustic and electric instruments. The mixing process delayed the completion of Rumours, but was finished by the end of 1976. Following the album's release in 1977, Fleetwood Mac undertook worldwide promotional tours.

Rumours garnered widespread critical acclaim. Praise centred on its production quality and harmonies, which frequently relied on the interplay among three vocalists. The record has inspired the work of musical acts in different genres. Often considered Fleetwood Mac's best release, it has featured in several publications' lists of the best albums of the 1970s and the best albums of all time.

Back In Print On Red Vinyl

For the 1975 film version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, American producer Lou Adler wisely mixed the best of the London and Los Angeles stage versions, shooting the movie in England with Tim Curry and several of the other original cast members, plus Meatloaf (years before Bat Out of Hell), and Americans Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon as the innocent couple Brad and Janet. Adler also brought back original London stage musicians in place of the slick studio musicians who had marred the L.A. cast album. The film version resequenced the songs and reassigned some of the vocals, with Brad's song Once in a While dropped. But it all worked out fine. The strings that were added to ballads like Science Fiction/Double Feature only improved them; the rockers rocked out; Bostwick and Sarandon proved to be the best Brad and Janet ever; the original cast members, especially Curry, reveled in the opportunity to immortalize their portrayals; and Rocky Horror's potential as a witty parody of cheap movies, rock & roll, and sexual mores was fully realized. The film soundtrack album became the definitive version of the score, despite lacking the songs Planet Shmanet Janet and The Sword of Damocles. The Rocky Horror Picture Show was not successful in its initial theatrical run, but then a strange thing happened. In 1976, the Waverly Theater in New York's Greenwich Village began showing the film at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Soon, a cult of repeat viewers began turning up every week; they began to dress like the characters, call out their own comments at strategic moments, sing along, and add their own theatrical effects. The phenomenon spread across the U.S., with fans rivaling Trekkies and Deadheads for loyalty and eccentricity, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show took on a life Richard O'Brien never could have anticipated.

    A Day At The Races

In every sense, A Day at the Races is an unapologetic sequel to A Night at the Opera, the 1975 breakthrough that established Queen as rock & roll royalty. The band never attempts to hide that the record is a sequel -- the two albums boast the same variation on the same cover art, the titles are both taken from old Marx Brothers films and serve as counterpoints to each other. But even though the two albums look the same, they don't quite sound the same, A Day at the Races is a bit tighter than its predecessor, yet tighter doesn't necessarily mean better for a band as extravagant as Queen. One of the great things about A Night at the Opera is that the lingering elements of early Queen -- the pastoral folk of 39, the metallic menace of Death on Two Legs -- dovetailed with an indulgence of camp and a truly, well, operatic scale. Here, the eccentricities are trimmed back somewhat -- they still bubble up on The Millionaire Waltz, an example of the music hall pop that dominated Night, the pro-Native American saga White Man is undercut somewhat by the cowboys 'n' indians rhythms -- in favor of a driving, purposeful hard rock that still could have some slyly hidden perversities (or in the case of the opening Tie Your Mother Down, some not-so-hidden perversity) but this is exquisitely detailed hard rock, dense with minutiae but never lush or fussy. In a sense, it could even function as the bridge between Sheer Heart Attack and Night at the Opera -- it's every bit as hard as the former and nearly as florid as the latter -- but its sleek, streamlined finish is the biggest indication that Queen has entered a new phase, where they're globe-conquering titans instead of underdogs on the make.

    The Trio

    Pressed On 180-Gram Vinyl

Oscar Peterson was a Canadian jazz pianist and composer. He was called the Maharaja of the keyboard by Duke Ellington, but simply O.P. by his friends. He released over 200 recordings, won eight Grammy Awards, and received numerous other awards and honors. He is considered one of the greatest jazz pianists and played thousands of concerts worldwide in a career lasting more than 60 years.

Peterson made numerous duo performances and recordings with bassists Ray Brown, Sam Jones, and Irving Ashby, Herb Ellis, and Barney Kessel, pianists Count Basie, Herbie Hancock, Benny Green, and Oliver Jones, trumpeters Clark Terry and Louis Armstrong, and many other important jazz players.

Peterson redefined the jazz trio by bringing the musicianship of all three members to the highest level. Together with Joe Pass (guitar) and Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen (bass), Oscar Peterson (piano) called the trio in his own words, 'the most stimulating' and productive setting for public performances as well as in studio recordings.

The Trio is a 1973 live recording at the London House in Chicago. Winner of the 1975 Grammy Award for Best Jazz Performance By A Group, this energetic live set is the highlight of all three storied careers.

In his Allmusic review, critic Scott Yanow complimented the playing of Pass and Pedersen but wrote the reason to acquire this set is for the remarkable Oscar Peterson. The pianist brilliantly investigates several jazz styles... Peterson really flourished during his years with Norman Granz's Pablo label, and this was one of his finest recordings of the period.

    Numbered Limited Edition

Guilty Pleasure Records Don't Come Better Than This Freewheeling 1975 Set

Party On: Smash Hits Get Down Tonight, That's the Way (I Like It), Boogie Shoes Are All Here

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's World-Renowned Mastering System and Pressed at RTI (America's Best Record Plant): Wait Until You Hear How Deep and Low the Grooves Go

It's okay to admit it. While few openly confess their love for KC and the Sunshine Band, who among us doesn't light up the instant that the super-catchy Get Down Tonight or giddy sing-a-long invitation That's the Way (I Like It) begins to play? Yeah, just by reading that last sentence, it's likely you're already humming the tune in your head, or feeling a twitch in your feet. The music is that addictive. And that universally recognized. It's time you finally enjoy it on a pressing that brings everything that's been buried in those deep grooves to the surface.

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's world-renowned mastering system and pressed at RTI (the best record plant in North America), Silver Label numbered limited edition LP presents the 1975 triple-platinum smash in the absolute best sound it's ever had. The ensemble's brassy horns, funky guitars, tropical percussion, and snappy vocals take their respective place amidst a gargantuan soundstage that, in your listening room, will double as a discotheque. Get your dancing shoes ready!

Coming from a musical strain then known as the Miami Sound, KC and the Sunshine Band perfected its mix of boisterous rhythms, disco-floor grooves, slick funk riffs, R&B hooks, carefree choruses, and dance commands on this self-titled release. The world immediately took notice. Focused on nothing but fun, letting go, and channeling feel-good emotions, the group revolutionized pop music by getting even the most hardened, resistant rock purists to embrace its appeal.

There isn't a better record with which to start or continue a party. Synonymous with celebrations, commemorations, and just blowing off steam, mega-hits That's the Way (I Like It) and Get Down Tonight transcend boundaries and generations. If youâre within earshot, you will get up and dance. In addition to being utterly irresistible songs, guilty pleasure or not, the fare on KC and the Sunshine Band qualifies as simply great pop, the arrangements, playing, and consistency as good as it gets. As for the grooves? Man, keep 'em flowing.

Rather than live in secrecy or settle for an inferior version, go ahead, indulge yourself, and grab this 70s classic on remastered, audiophile-grade vinyl. You'll be surprised at the amount of new information that's revealed, whether it's the depth of the low frequencies or timbrel properties of the horns.
