Say It Like You Mean It

    180 Gram Blue/Green Haze Vinyl

    Limited To 750 Copies

    Etched D Side

Not many 17-year-olds could say that they are already living
out their dreams, but for The Starting Line's singer/bass
player, Ken Vasoli, life is one big dream. After signing to
Drive-Thru at the tender age of 16, Ken took night and
summer classes so that he could graduate from High School a
year early. What was supposed to be his senior year of school
turned into every kid's fantasy: ayear of touring, traveling the
country, meeting new people, making new friends, and flying
to the U.K. for the first time to play with label mates and new found friends New Found Glory.

The Starting Line's first release in July 2001 was the 5-song EP With Hopes of Starting
Over, which proved to be more rewarding than the band could
have ever imagined.Twenty-five thousand copies later,TSL is
selling out 300-800 capacity venues across the country on
their first-ever headlining tour.Say It Like You MeanIt, TSL's
debut full-length showcases a more mature style of song writing well beyond their years, without compromising the sense of
untainted youth and freshness. The charm of this band is over-
flowing in the story-style lyrics, the urgency and the sincerity.
The buzz is strong, and is only getting bigger.

    The Punch Line

The Minutemen may have come out of the same California hardcore scene that produced Black Flag, Circle Jerks, and Fear, but they not only bore little resemblance to their West Coast contemporaries, they didn't sound much like anyone else in American rock at that time. The Punch Line was the band's first album, packing 18 tunes into less than 25 minutes, and if the music shares hardcore's lust for speed and assaultive rhythmic punch, their sharp, fragmented melodies, complex tempos, and overtly poetic and political lyrics made clear they were rugged individuals; imagine James Blood Ulmer teaching Wire how to get funky and you start to get an idea of what The Punch Line sounds like. It wasn't until the band began to slow down a bit on What Makes a Man Start Fires? that the strength of the group's individual songs became clear, and The Punch Line works better as a unified sonic assault than as a collection of tunes, but moments do stand out, especially Tension, Fanatics, and the title cut, which certainly lends a new perspective to Native American history. The Punch Line was as wildly inventive as anything spawned by American punk, and the band would only get better on subsequent releases.

    Break Line: The Musical

    Limited To 2000

On a front porch in Philadelphia in early 2004, Anand Wilder and Maxwell Kardon sat with a guitar and a
banjo and busily finger picked to keep their hands from freezing. After a few false starts they settled on a dirge
in d-minor and began improvising lyrics about a labor conflict in a Western Pennsylvania coal town that their
fathers had learned about from an old folk song taught in Quaker schools in the '50s.

The facts, as communicated, were a half-remembered pastiche of de facto segregation, frayed family ties, and
double-dealing.The principal heroes and villains of the story were lost to history and buried in mine shafts and
unmarked graves, and the particulars of the outcome were primarily recorded on newspapers lost in
warehouse fires and floods. Nevertheless, the tragedy struck both as an ideal thread to weave through a series
of stories they had been telling each other about a town full of unlucky, love lorn people. Inspired by the classic
rock operas of the 1970's and the golden age of musical theater, they began work on their own

Wilder and Kardon spent the next several years traveling, each writing and tinkering with songs about their
town and sending each other hastily recorded demos and fragments of lyrics. The story of Greenbelt grew and
the cast of characters, from robber barons to union men, migrant farmers to crooked ministers, became
fleshed out. They enlisted friends from myriad bands: Austin Fisher (Suckers), Haley Dekle (the Dirty
Projectors), Ira Wolf Tuton and Christopher Keating (Yeasayer), Ryan Kattner (Man Man), Britt Myers
(Chairlift), and Aku Orraca-Tetteh (Dragons of Zynth) to sing the parts of the town's luckless citizens.

In 2008, they put together a core band featuring Ira on bass and Christopher Powell of Man Man on drums
and began arranging the songs of Break Line for a full ensemble. With the help of recording wunderkind Britt
Myers (Chairlift, Yeasayer, Passing Strange) they finally began putting the music down onto tape, staying up
late experimenting with sounds and arrangements.

In the years that followed, the two found moments whenever they could to complete the project. Neither can
believe that what started with just the two of them huddled on a cold porch would grow to involve a once-in-a-lifetime cast of collaborators. A decade after its conception, they are proud to present to the public their
vision of a classic story of betrayal, pride and lost love.

    Welcome to Greenbelt.

You don't become a legacy band overnight. While tons of bands have overnight major label
success, with corporate radio, MTV, or teen magazine spreads, they don't have careers, and they
fade, almost faster than they arrived. You become a legacy band by innovating, not imitating. You
do it by constantly writing songs and albums that connect with people in a way that they remember and appreciate, in a way that creates a need to see you when you visit their city. You appeal to their heart.

For over 13 years The Jealous Sound have been inspiring fans and bands with their unique blend
of indie and alternative rock. Rise Records is proud to re-release their rst full length Kill Them
With Kindness on vinyl. The 2 LP set will not just include a re-mastered version of Kill Them
With Kindness but also a re-mastered version of the band's self-titled ep, as well as 3

What It Is To Burn - X Live

    Formed in Temecula, CA
in 1999, the quintet of Nate
    Barcalow, Alex Linares, Randy
    Strohmeyer, Alex Pappas
    and Derrek Doherty known
as Finch, are labeled as the
    fore-fathers of the "screamo"
and post hardcore genre. Influenced by the hard leanings
    of bands like Deftones and
Hum, and the pop sensibilities of Jimmy Eat World and
    Blink-182, Finch began a sonic
    revolution in popular music
    that still echoes today.

    The band signed to Drive-Thru
Records in 2001 after guitarist Strohmeyer sent out a demo to owners Richard and Stephanie Reines while he was working on the label's street team.
Drive-Thru saw something in the Southern California band and decided
to take a risk on a sound that was more aggressive than their current range
of artists. Their first EP, Falling into Place sold more than 6,000 copies
within the first few months and gave them the momentum they needed to
create their groundbreaking first album What It Is To Burn. Recorded in
the winter of 2001, What It Is To Burn was released the following spring.
The album produced three radio hits, charted Number 1 on the Billboard
Heatseekers chart and 188 on the Billboard 200.

They spent years touring in support of What It Is To Burn, sharing
the stage with the likes of Glassjaw, The Starting Line, Yellowcard, and
Blink-182, among others. In 2005, they decided it was time for a follow up,
and went in a more artsy direction with Say Hello To Sunshine. Drummer
Alex Pappas left the band and was replaced by Marc Allen. After years of
heavy touring, the band went on a short hiatus, rejoining one another in
2007 with new bassist Daniel Wonacott to record their self-titled EP. Critics
hailed the EP as a return to glory while still adding to their old sound.
Finch would tour off the release for a few years until deciding on another
    break in 2009.

In 2013, Finch reunited to its nearly original lineup and announced that
they would embark on the What It Is To Burn Ten Year Anniversary
tour. The group performed the full-length in its entirety with a few extra
bonuses for fans along the way. One concert in particular in Pomona, CA
was filmed and recorded and will be released via Tragic Hero Records. With no bad blood and everything firing on all fronts, it's hard to
tell what will come next for Finch, but one thing remains certain: all eyes
    are watching to find out.

    12 Maxi-Single Reissue

Featuring Pop Life (Fresh Dance Mix) And Hello (12 Extended Remix Version)

Pop Life is a 1985 song by Prince and The Revolution. It was the second US (and final UK) single from their 1985 album, Around the World in a Day, reaching number 7 in the US charts. The song starts with a faded-in synth line and quickly starts the main tune. The easy groove is achieved with a smooth bass guitar and piano embellishments. A drum machine provides handclaps to make the song danceable. Pop Life was recorded before Purple Rain was completed, indicating the new direction Prince wanted to take after the success of that album and film.

The B-side of the track is Hello, written quickly as a response to those who criticized Prince's lack of participation in the We Are the World event. The angry lyrics lambaste the prying media and false friendships, and is driven by a pulsing beat. The extended version of the song ends with a spoken word by Prince, which contain some self-humor about his high-heeled shoes.

    Dig Your Roots

Known for their record-breaking tracks, undeniable energy and all around good vibes, FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE will release DIG YOUR ROOTS on Big Machine Label Group. The award-winning duo's highly anticipated third studio album uncovers pieces of their lineage along with an evolved creativity.

"Our album cover says it all," shares Brian Kelley. "Tyler and I are continuing to grow musically and personally. We really wanted this album to reflect who we are and our lives in this moment, but also where we came from."

Tyler Hubbard adds, "we both started out playing guitar, singing in church and writing songs so we wanted to let fans see our foundation - a deeper side to us. We couldn't have picked a more fitting title or image for DIG YOUR ROOTS."

Award-winning producer Joey Moi, who has been at the helm for FGL's entire discography to date, once again joined the pair for DIG YOUR ROOTS. The duo penned over half of the new music, further depicting an evolution in both of their life journeys. FGL's soaring single "H.O.L.Y." sets the tone for the new project and is "the right balance of change and continuity, and the mix of love and spirituality" (Billboard).

    The Features

With their fourth full-length album, The Features look to build upon the success of their most recent record Wilderness. On The Features, the band embraces a slew of previously-untapped sonics and styles, resulting in their most adventurous set of songs yet. Capturing their thrilling, stage-tested sound was a no-brainer on previous albums. But for this album, The Features were game to shake things up. Just two months away from the release of their hailed 2011 album Wilderness, they decided that they weren't going to wait another two or three years to start work on the follow-up. They'd make it in the two months they had to spare. Lead-off cut Rotten is a bold, multi-movement stunner, veering from serene synth-pop to proto-metal riffs, flirting with anthemic Who's Next arena-rock before shrinking back to its starting point. New Romantic and Ain't No Wonder straddle the line between classic new wave and Bowie-styled soul. But the album is thoroughly modern, too, particularly in the wide-open spaces of shimmering rockers With Every Beat and In Your Arms.

    Hunger And Thirst

Typhoon's Debut Reissued On 180-Gram Orange Vinyl

Kyle Morton sings the first line of Typhoon's Hunger & Thirst, I've started a new beginning... suspiciously like the old one, only this time, I'm ready, with the bravery and trepidation of someone who is staring down a familiar path, with all its known challenges and potential pitfalls, surrounded by his dearest longtime friends. Fittingly, producer Paul Laxer recorded Hunger & Thirst in Morton and his bandmates' beloved old Victorian rental house. The lease was about to be up; the landlady was about to be back from Korea - all 12 band members knew their time there was limited, that they were crafting an aural snapshot using room mics and dining rooms. That house can be heard all over the record if you're listening for it, spaciously framing Typhoon's lush, well-edited orchestration, its wood floors perfectly warming Morton's empowered, concerned, delicate vocals in a way that any studio environment would be hard-pressed to capture.

These are songs about striving for what you want, then realizing that once you have it, you don't want it anymore; that maybe that elusive thing was never really the issue anyway. Morton sings about the searches, in all their permutations, the bruises healed by those important to you, impermanence, joy, and finding peace within the incessant desire that has always been man's burden. He sings with strength and hope about renewal (Starting Over), with the entire band in gospel-chorus about confronting and progressing (the .47 second The Mouth of the Cave) and with brutal honesty about struggling with a lifelong illness (The Sickness Unto Death). Everyone has their own unique path to follow, and Hunger & Thirst is a record that should remind us of the preciousness of exploration, the value of those we meet along the way, and the power within that sustains us on our quests.

    Tail Of Lions

London-born singer, songwriter, and producer Alex Clare is one of those lucky people who will never be short of something startling to tell when the lights dim and true conversation really begins. "Where do you even start with a story like mine?" he laughs, down the line from his home in Jerusalem - and he makes a good point. Alex signed a major label deal with Island in 2010, released a single and an album then got unceremoniously dropped. When, in 2012, a song called 'Too Close' was pulled from the album and placed on an Internet Explorer 9 advert it prompted millions of sales and, lo and behold, he got re-signed. Eighteen months later he made a new album that the label failed to get behind and, as you might expect, it sold, in his own words, "nothing." He got married, toured the US, Russia, and Europe and started a family.

In the summer of 2015 he removed himself to a narrow boat on the River Lea (his debut was also recorded afloat, "I love boats," he says. "The one thing that I miss about the UK, is that Jerusalem, is on top of a mountain. No boats!") with his friend, bass player and founder member of Submotion Orchestra, Chris Hargreaves and the pair began to record again. What they came up with is a remarkable work called 'Tail of Lions'. Written and recorded in a few short weeks, Alex would spend months with Chris working on exactly the right mix for this new collection, a place where soul, rock, and funk meet steel-sharp electronica and iced-out drum and bass.

Nashville Pussy came together in 1996. Albums such as Let Them Eat Pussy (1998), High As Hell (2000) or Say Something Nasty (2002) have caused an international stir, and their 1999 single release ´Fried Chicken And Coffee` earned the band a Grammy nomination in the category ´Best Metal Performance`. We were tired of seeing and hearing bands that were just going through rock 101 motions, all slick but with no real soul. So we decided to play the kind of music that we would like to hear, comments Ruyter Suys on the birth of her band. A renowned American music magazine rightly referred to Nashville Pussy as One of the hardest working bands in show biz today.

Following the release of their previous album in September of 2005, Get Some, complete with a cover version of Ike & Tina Turner's 'Nutbush City Limits', the band set out on an extensive tour, determined to document impressively what their audience had come to expect under the heading of 'kick ass live show' (captured on the new DVD Live in Hollywood), and this is precisely what the band's European fans can look forward to in the beginning of 2012. Cartwright: We tour Europe for three weeks starting end of January and expect as always: kick ass rock n' roll based on our re-release of 2009s From Hell To Texas. LINE UP: Blaine Cartwright guitars, vocals Ruyter Suys guitars Karen Cuda bass Jeremy Thompson drums

Have a question about this product? Please email our audio advisor or call 1-877-929-8729 with any questions or concerns regarding your equipment purchase.

The new Zephyr MK III has achieved what no other cartridge has done since its inception; rapid recognition as a leading force in phono cartridge design and performance.

The Soundsmith Zephyr MkIII enjoys a great history, starting with the well loved VPI Zephyr original, which evolved into the well known Zephyr MKII. In our effort to bring you even higher definition without increase in cost, we introduce the NEW Zephyr MKIII. It features a newly developed aluminum alloy - the same one we are now using in the Paua MKII, just released. This new metal alloy has unique dualistic properties, providing stiffness in the ranges required as well as damping exactly where its needed - and by the proper amount - in the most critical parts of the sonic spectrum. The result is a cartridge that will slam your Rock and Roll while providing a new level of linearity and clarity for the most complex classical and jazz passages.

Attached to our new cantilever material is a tiny new super low mass High Profile Contact Line diamond we have developed for the new Zephyr MKIII. This stylus traces more of the groove walls than a standard contact line, but avoids some of the alignment pitfalls that can occur with a high profile contact line design, allowing more azimuth alignment forgiveness than is normally possible with such designs.

These improvements are paired with technology borrowed from our higher end line; Trickle Down technology from a unique Dynamic Energy Management System (DEMS) developed by Soundsmith that moves the damped energy and propagates it properly within the cartridge body. This is a similar system we employ in the Soundsmith's well received and reviewed high end Sussurro Cartridge.

The new Zephyr MKIII is capable of truly remarkable separation and sound stage imaging at a level not previously achievable in a modestly priced design. The composite body and unique DEMS design work in tandem to contribute to the Zephyr MkIII's ability to produce high-end performance from a moderately priced cartridge. Be prepared to sit back and realize......you may have never really heard your record collection before.

The Zephyr MkIII will provide a level of clarity and beauty that will make you take out your record collection and listen to it all over again.

Toto was founded in 1977 by some of the most experienced session musicians of that time.
The members of Toto were regulars on albums by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, Boz Scaggs, Sonny and Cher, and many others, contributing to many of the most popular records of the 1970s.

The band enjoyed great commercial success in the late 1970s and 1980s, starting with the band's self-titled debut released in 1978.
It includes the hit singles 'Hold the Line', 'I'll Supply the Love' and 'Georgy Porgy' and the album gained a reputation when released for its characteristic sound, mixing soft pop with both synth and hard rock elements.
The band still has a good reputation as selling out arenas all over the world proves.

Time Is Over One Day Old

Bear In Heaven's new album is aptly titled Time is Over One Day Old. It's a record with a visceral
relationship to time and its processes.Where invulnerability and ambition can support you as you grow,
at some point they become dead weight, and being true to yourself means casting them off, starting anew.
This plays out as a powerful analogy for the band across the arc of it's career.

They've always made intriguing records, here especially. It's easy to see why musicians fall hard for this
band. They entice and envelop you. Any Bear In Heaven song will most likely greet you with a provocative
beat, textural synthesizers and unassuming but adeptly supportive bass and guitar, all exquisitely
arranged and glistening.Jon Philpot's high, smooth, strong voice is so tightly wound into the music that
it can be easy to overlook the lyrics, Bear In Heaven's capacious third dimension. Philpot is a center-seeking, contemplative writer who captures the fleeting thoughts that underscore our emotional lives, the
interactions with the world that are both difficult to express and anathema in daily conversation.

While all of this can be said of any Bear In Heaven album, each varies wildly in tone and approach. 2007's
Red Bloom of the Boom is ambitious and experimental. Beast Rest Forth Mouth(2009)was a pivotal record
that still feels important, seductive and intense. On their 2012 LP I Love You, It's Cool the structural and
musical ideas are challenging, and masterfully developed. For Time is Over One Day Old,we witness the
band once again turning their gaze inward and prioritizing their evocative abilities in line with or even
slightly ahead of technical skills. It feels very much in the tradition of BRFM in that way. It's beautiful; it's
    moving.

Here Philpot and Adam Wills are more deeply collaborative than ever. This album is darker at times,
louder than their others; it feels personal and direct."If I Were To Lie"places Wills' bass groove front and
center,"Demon" is riveting and propulsive in spite of its dark pointed lyric, and"They Dream"dissolves
into three and a half minutes of deeply satisfying ambient synth work in its second half.Wills has always
been the bands anchor, providing rock solid, rhythmic bass lines and guitars that blur the boundaries of
Philpot's synth. Though in moments such as the final track, "You Don't Need The World," Wills cuts
through with an audacious, biting guitar hook. It's a great culmination of the album's sense of release.
This album isn't about being dark, it's about releasing darkness and frustration.

When bands age well, their vitality takes shape. They wear, but with intention. They trim excesses.
Throughout this album you'll hear a band at peace with themselves. They've learned to cut back on that
which is merely impressive and to concentrate on simply what is crucial. For Philpot this is about making
something lasting. "A lot of shedding, getting rid of layers and preconceptions breaking up with old
ways of thinking, old ways of being, starting to look at this thing in a new way and finding something
positive."The result is a record that will stay with you.

    Kiss: MTV Unplugged

Celebrating four decades of decibels, KISS, Mercury Records and UMe proudly announce reissuing the legendary KISS albums on 180g audiophile vinyl
starting in 2014. Remastered to high definition 192kHz/24-bit audio for maximum fidelity, these albums have never sounded so amazing and now
vinyl collectors will get what they've been demanding. All posters, sleeve art, stickers, etc that appeared in the original LP release where applicable have
been faithfully reproduced for the KISS Army.

On April 10, KISS will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - which will be broadcast in May -
and then will kick off a summer co-headlining tour with Def Leppard starting in June.

After sinking deep into this musical celebration, even the not-so-avid listener will surely know something more about Kiss, a classic rock icon of the '70s roaring back in vibrant and passionate form. This recording of a session done expressly for the program MTV Unplugged in 1996 brought together a special group for a remarkable, if unexpected, reunion. Throughout this record, you can feel the support and raw adoration of the audience present, certainly a mixture of long-time fans and new admirers. The members of Kiss got together to rock hard on their axes and crash big on the drums, bringing a renewed sense of freshness and excitement. Nearly rock & roll legends, they exceeded expectations and, given their newfound energy, charisma, and love for the music, their performance provided the catalyst for the beginning of a successful world reunion tour. Coming Home delivers a feverish and electric opening that gets the crowd on its feet in a hurry. Soon the emotion and presence of this group are brought back with startling grace and wisdom on Plaster Caster, and the beautiful acoustic medley Goin' Blind. The decades of Kiss, their costumes, and their wild stadium shows roll back in a heartbeat through the crashing tune Do You Love Me. Perhaps one of the most bewildering tunes that really reflects the image of Kiss is the rocking blues tune Domino. The crowd is really fired up now, next experiencing the charming and soulful power rock ballad Sure Know Something. A World Without Heroes is very subdued and reflective. Rock Bottom is delicate and mysterious in the opening seconds, with a lush minor harmony delivered picking style on the acoustic. Now it gets rough, expresses Stanley, grooving in a racy blues statement. See You Tonight is a romantic and pretty ballad delivered with sweetness, and the group sings, I'll see you tonight/And if I can't, I'll cry, I'll cry/I see you tonight, outside. Then on comes the darker resonance of the band with I Still Love You, expressing grave longing after a grueling breakup. I got to make you see, is a gripping line in a haunting bridge section, before the shouted, emotional, sometimes painful chorus: Girl, it seems the price I have of losing you/Will be my hell to pay/It makes me want to die/'Cause I still love you. The solo during the bridge is reminiscent of the chord structure of the Guess Who's Undun. After this painful, depressing song, new breath is found with Every Time I Look at You, a song of forgiveness, delivered with sincerity and the feeling of hope: Every time I hold you/The things I never told you seem to come easily/'Cause you're everything to me. The bridge is brilliant and seems to elevate the melody to a gratifying level, before breaking into a chilling guitar improv, layered over with a shimmering string orchestra. Beth is the most heartwarming song of Kiss' power ballads: Beth I know you're lonely/And I hope you'll be alright/'Cause me and the boys will be playing all night. Finally, a Kiss show wouldn't be complete without the ultimate party song, Rock and Roll All Night, a tune still electric without electric guitars.

    Goodbye Terrible Youth

How do you improve an already striking set of stripped-down, homemade pop? Gary McClure, the St. Louis-by-way-of Scotland songwriter behind American Wrestlers, a once anonymous project that became one of the year's best new bands, believes it's about being true to the basics.

"It's truly about becoming good enough to write the album you wanted to listen to when you were 15," he says. "Every time I make a new record, I feel like I'm getting closer."

Goodbye Terrible Youth (November 4, Fat Possum) shows McClure taking bedroom recordings onto a bigger stage without sacrificing the intimacy that makes them so attractive. If his self-titled album showed his knack for stringing together addictive guitar lines-the shimmer of shoegaze mixed with the emotional fist pump of power pop-Goodbye Terrible Youth amplifies that energy with a road-tested band. Literally breaking out of the home studio-the Tascam mixer McClure had been recording on has fallen apart from overuse-he's embraced a bigger sound and stage on Goodbye Terrible Youth, his rueful yet propulsive songwriting only becoming sharper.

"I wanted to write songs that bridged the gap better between audience and stage," he says. "Faster, louder more distortion. Something you can do handstands and backflips and start small fires to."

Building on the dreamy haze of previous recordings, McClure's music on GTY often crackles with energy. Lead song "Vote Thatcher" flips a switch between propulsive, jangly guitar lines and bright, boisterous, choruses, a fitting backdrop for lyrics imploring listeners not to let their youth slip through their fingers. "Someone Far Away," propelled by a massive, fuzzy bassline, makes a perfect soundtrack for a long desert drive, while the angular and angsty, while "Terrible Youth" opens with a muscular take on the midsection riff of Marquee Moon, than fuzzes into grunge over a Stone Roses bass line along with a bit of Big Star swagger.

When McClure's homemade recordings surfaced in late 2014, they featured the kind of lo-fi charm you'd expect from a lost classic, like a long-lost mixtape rediscovered under the seat of your car. Self-released on Bandcamp, the earnest and effortless album reflects McClure at his best.

"It's this weird kind of thing happens where the music kind of constructs itself," he says. "My music making process is always happening, always going on in my head. It's almost like anti-virus software in my computer. It's always plugging away in the background."

McClure's career may be the definition of plugging away, enough so that he has the unique distinction of being "discovered" twice. Before starting American Wrestler, he was one-half of Working For a Nuclear Free City, a shoegaze-inspired band out of Manchester, England. By 2013, McClure and bandmate Phil Kay decided to wind the project down. As McClure weighed next move, he started playing around and posting demos online. The tracks caught the attention of Bridgette Imperial, an American who was studying overseas, and sparked more than just a meeting of musical minds. They began dating, and a year later, McClure had moved to St. Louis to marry her.

The midwest move has been a key influence for the restless musician, a more open music scene than he was accustomed to in Manchester. While working a warehouse job for UPS in Missouri, McClure began experimenting and recording what would become the first American Wrestlers album, and the momentum and reception built since then has allowed him to stretch out and refine a new album of songs with a full band, which includes Imperial, who plays keyboard, as well as Ian Reitz on bass and Josh Van Hoorebeke on drums. McClure's new set of bouncing, well-crafted songs shows that musical youth is not always wasted on the young.

"I'm always surprised by how each record brings me closer to writing simpler, heavier, catchier songs like those bands who gave me my musical epiphany: Nirvana, the Smashing Pumpkins, Hole and that first Foo Fighters record," he says. "I first learned how to write by copying them and got lost for a decade in intricacy and experimentation. Now, it feels like I'm heading back."

    Storytone (Deluxe)

Neil Young's significantly higher fidelity follow-up to A Letter Home is called Storytone, and is released via Reprise.

Really, it's two albums: There's a solo version and a standard version, which was recorded with a 92-piece orchestra and choir. The vinyl contains both solo and standard versions, pressed at QRP.

The album was produced by Young and Niko Bolas under their Volume Dealers moniker. The orchestra was arranged and conducted by Michael Bearden and Chris Walden.

One of the most influential artists of all time, Neil Young has set a standard of artistic integrity and iconoclastic creativity. Before starting his multi-platinum solo career, he was a founding member of the folk-rock band Buffalo Springfield and worked with the groups Crazy Horse and Crosby, Stills and Nash. The Canadian singer-songwriter was recognized by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 for his work as a solo artist and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1982. Young's philanthropic work is as renowned as his musical legacy. His famous Bridge School Benefit Concert has become a yearly tradition since 1986 and continues to boast an incredible line-up of high-profile artists. Each year, Young donates all of the proceeds to the Bay Area's Bridge School, which assists children with severe physical impairments and complex communication needs. He was also one of the original founders of Farm Aid in 1985, and continues to be an active member on the organization's board of directors.

Ben Liebrand's new artist album Iconic Groove captures those bass lines, riffs and rhythms that move the dance floor. The album covers every aspect of your weekend, from getting ready to go out, the trip to the venue in the limo, the people you meet, the artists you see, the moves you make all the way till you see the sunrise after closing time.

Using the latest technology 'Iconic Groove' was nevertheless recorded the oldskool way starting with real bass guitars & rhythm guitars sessions, adding horns and live rhythm elements. Overlaying with Iconic synthesizer sounds from Moog, Korg, Roland, and many more capturing the early years of electronic music with captivating sequence patterns and sweeping modulating pad sounds.

Iconic Groove is produced, arranged, engineered and mixed by Ben Liebrand. Ben's inspiration is clearly audible with collaborations of icons like Cerrone and James D-Train Williams, Tonys Scott and more. With a broad selection of dance ranging from super Funky through Disco to throbbing sequencers!
