    Wonderful Wonderful (Pre-Order)

Wonderful Wonderful is The Killers' fifth studio album and features the top 10 Alternative hit The Man.

Brandon Flowers revealed in May 2015 that he and guitarist Dave Keuning were exchanging ideas for The Killers' fifth studio album. The four members reconvened in October 2015, a few months earlier than originally planned. The band began work on the album at their own Battle Born Studios and also rented houses in Joshua Tree National Park and San Diego. They briefly recorded with Ryan Tedder and other producers in Los Angeles before beginning work with Jacknife Lee, who had been recommended to them by U2 frontman Bono. Lee worked with the band between September 2016 and May 2017 at his home studio in Topanga, California, and at National SouthWestern Recording studios in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lee produced all tracks on the album alongside The Killers, with Additional Production by Erol Alkan on The Man and Stuart Price on Out Of My Mind.

The Killers enlisted Mark Knopfler (of Dire Straits) for a guitar part on Have All the Songs Been Written?. Additionally, Flowers wrote the lyrics for Some Kind of Love over music by Brian Eno. Australian artist Alex Cameron contributed lyrics to the track Run for Cover, which was originally written for the band's third studio album, Day & Age.

    Battle Born

From out of the wreckage of the American Civil War, the great state of Nevada came into being on October 31st, 1864. Its creation immediately helped to secure the re-election of Abraham Lincoln, the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment and, ultimately, the future of the union. Today, that proud but painful history is enshrined in the two words emblazoned on the upper left-hand corner of the state flag: Battle Born.

That phrase has always resonated with Brandon Flowers. It's what The Killers named their studio in Las Vegas, and when the band reconvened last May to start work on the follow-up to 2008's Day & Age, it became first a song title, then a thematic touchstone, and eventually the name of the album itself. But not all battles are blood and thunder: after a yearlong hiatus that saw three of the four Killers launch solo careers, they quickly discovered that timing and circumstance can be daunting adversaries in their own right.

Safe to say, Battle Born's title was well-earned. "It's the hardest thing I've ever done, no question," says Brandon. "It's the longest we've ever taken to make a record, and the longest I've ever spent on the lyrics. We thought we had enough songs, but then we realized that we didn't, and so we had to pound away and grind it out until we were certain that we were ready."

A small-town drama of epic-scale proportions, "Runaways" is everything you could wish for from a Killers comeback single; an unmistakably American expression of romance and optimism that heralds their return with cyclonic, Who-esque guitars and a chorus big enough to be bellowed from one end of the Mojave to the other.

One of the album's oldest songs, the bare bones were written in 2009 on the Day & Age tour, but, says Brandon, "We never knew what to do with it. Day & Age was us trying to be more of a pop group, but Runaways was rootsy and American, and it threw me for a curve. I knew it was a powerful song. But when it came time to make the album, there was an understanding the four of us had that we were gonna do what we're good at. The Killers write a specific kind of song, and we're not gonna shy away from it. So 'Runaways' became a kind of launching pad."

More songs followed: the title track, a musical 'brother' to its lead single; "Here With Me," the album's heartstring-tugging emotional gravity-centre; the stadia-quaking electro-rock of "Flesh & Bone." By the time the band had satisfactorily refined that body of songs, however, none of the producers on their shortlist could commit to making a whole album, necessitating a process whereby they recorded in fits and starts with a stellar roll-call of names that included Daniel Lanois, Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor, Stuart Price and Brendan O'Brien.

And therein lies Battle Born's real triumph. Recorded almost entirely at the studio that shares its name, it incorporates elements from each of the records that came before it; Hot Fuss' storytelling eye for detail; the yearning, mythic Americana of Sam's Town; the gratuitous hooks and pop nous of Day & Age; without sounding overtly like any one in particular. It's the sound of a band recognizing, and celebrating, their own identity. To borrow Brandon's maxim, Battle Born is The Killers "Doing what we do best."

On their debut, Hot Fuss, frontman Brandon Flowers plumbs his imagination for tales of murdered lovers (Jenny Was a Friend of Mine, Midnight Show), voyeurism (Mr. Brightside), and sexual confusion (the single Somebody Told Me), Flowers and his mates are obviously canny students; the total effect is of a playacted obsession, but one made irresistible by their skillful, catchy songs. If there's an occasional misstep (the painfully earnest line I got soul but I'm not a soldier from All These Things That I've Done), it seems of a piece with the Killers' influences. As it is, Hot Fuss is one of several recent releases that bring a diverting faux glamour to the mainstream rock scene. --Rickey Wright

    Natural Born Killers

Most soundtracks simply feature the film's incidental music or songs that were heard in the background throughout the movie. Not Natural Born Killers. Assembled by Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), the soundtrack to Oliver Stone's brutally warped serial killer saga recreates the hallucinatory feeling of the film. Snatches of dialogue interweave with song fragments and sound effects, creating a harrowing, violent soundscape where Leonard Cohen occasionally offers a relief of sorts. In fact, Reznor managed to convey the insanity of the movie's lead characters much more effectively than Stone did with the film itself.

    Razorback Killers (Awaiting Repress)

Its Geoff Thorpes story of power and pain. The quest to change peoples lives with the
power of metal music and the fascination of his band in 2011. The guitarist and main
songwriter of American power metal act Vicious Rumors says: The older we get, the
more wicked Vicious Rumors sound. Weve definitely not slowed down quite the opposite
have even more drive. Our fans wont see a single Vicious Rumors show where
we dont go to our limits and beyond. Anybody who has been to one of the groups
gigs during the past two years knows just what he means. Thorpes comment not only
describes his bands concerts, but also without reservation Vicious Rumours latest
album Razorback Killers, due out on SPV on April 5th 2011 and featuring ten breathtaking
new songs which transport the traditional Vicious Rumors sound perfectly into the
present. To cut a long story short: this band has never sounded more dynamic than on
    Razorback Killers.

The reasons for Vicious Rumors high-powered performance? Thorpe has a plausible
explanation: The metal is in our blood!!!! Plus we always have an awesome line-up.
Larry Howe on drums and vocals, our bassist Stephen Goodwin and guitarist Kiyoshi
Morgan, and in Brian Allen weve found the best vocalist you could possibly get
for these kind of songs. Brian Allen joined the Vicious Rumors fold one and a half
years ago at the recommendation of Matt McCourt (Wild Dogs), a long time friend who
Thorpe met up with at the Headbangers Open Air. Matt
had praised Brian, and I thought that hed be perfect
for Vicious Rumors. His assessment soon proved
true: from the beginning, Allen showed his great potential
    during intense rehearsals. We immediately
noticed this raw, pure quality in him. Like a snowball,
something very big developed very quickly out of small
beginnings. During our five-week European tour, Brian
got nothing but positive reactions from our fans.

    Killer Road

Double LP With Gatefold Sleeve And 16-Page Booklet

LP 1 Is Black Vinyl, LP 2 Is White Colored Vinyl

A shimmering ambient tone, an electronic underlay to the lulling chatter of
crickets, makes way for the unmistakable voice of Patti Smith, quietly intoning,
ominously, "The killer road is waiting for you / like a finger, pointing in the night."

Behind the music and concept of Killer Road is international trio Soundwalk
Collective - Stephan Crasneanscki, Simone Merli, and Kamran Sadeghi - who,
alongside Patti Smith's daughter, Jesse Paris, conceived an immersive exploration
of the tragic death of Christa PÄffgen. Better known as Nico, the Velvet
Underground chanteuse and solo pioneer, PÄffgen died while riding her bike on
the island of Ibiza in the summer of 1988. Ironically, she'd recently got her health
back, after fifteen years of heroin addiction. It was Nico's body's reaction to its
new sobriety, and the fact she was cycling at the hottest time of the day, on the
hottest day of the year, that was to prove her undoing.

In the years before she died, Nico had not neglected her creative muse, writing
poetry that would never be published, or heard, until now, in the form of the
opening title track, "Killer Road." The tracks that follow are eight interpretations
of Nico lyrics, predominantly taken from classic albums such as Desertshore and
Drama of Exile, arranged by fellow poet and kindred spirit Patti Smith.

The roots of Killer Road lie in a fortuitous meeting on an airplane bound for New
York. One passenger was Smith; the other was Soundwalk Collective founder
Crasneanscki. Soundwalk had previously been a collaborative series of walking
guides to cities that created an idiosyncratic and evocative understanding for the
listener, before evolving into musical frameworks for field recordings and sight
specific sound installations and performances using a variety of texts and themes.

Killer Road was initially a live audio-visual experience, at the French Institute
Alliance Francaise in New York as part of 2014's Crossing the Line festival. Finally,
we now have the recorded version, a poignant, profound, imaginative exploration
and tribute nearly 30 years after that fateful summer's day.

    Pain Killer

Capitol Records Nashville, GRAMMY Award-winning group Little Big Town release their sixth studio album, Pain Killer. The album, produced by Jay Joyce, features current single Day Drinking, the bands highest chart debut to date, and was written by LBT s Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Phillip Sweet and songwriters Troy Verges and Barry Dean. The foursome co-wrote eight of the 13 tracks on the album.

Sometimes you don't know what's going to happen in the studio. You just have to dive in head first and work hard to do something unique, said Fairchild. We're always striving and pushing ourselves to go somewhere new. Pain Killer is a new place for sure.

Individually, they are four of the best singers in the world, said Mike Dungan, Chairman/CEO of Universal Music Group Nashville. Together, they are awe-inspiring. As a band, they are forever focused on taking it to the next level. The result is Pain Killer...simply the best one yet.

Little Big Town, who have been together for 15 years, release Pain Killer on the heels of their highly successful, platinum-selling album Tornado almost exactly two years later. Tornado was one of only 10 country albums to achieve platinum certification in 2013 and features back-to-back #1 hit singles Pontoon and Tornado. The 2x platinum-selling Pontoon took home the GRAMMY Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and the CMA Award for Single of the Year.

    Big Talk (On Sale)

Recorded at The Killers Battle Born studios in Las Vegas with producer Joe Chicharelli (The Strokes, My Morning Jacket), and mixed in London by star mixer Alan Moulder (U2, The Killers, Foo Fighters), Big Talk sees the Killers drummer Ronnie Vannucci step out from behind the kit. As a member of one of the biggest bands of the past ten years, Vannucci has collaborated on many Killers songs, so it will come as no surprise to find that Vannucci has a way with a genius hook of his own. But Vannucci is more: a true multi-instrumentalist, superb vocalist, who has produced what is sure to be the rock soundtrack to the summer.
