    Torment (Awaiting Repress)

Six Feet Under return with their 12th studio album and a leap in intensity. There's plenty of classic Six Feet Under groove to be had on Torment, but fans will note a much more aggressive approach, and even more modern blast beats throughout. This is a cantankerous Six Feet Under with absolutely nothing to prove. This is Six Feet Under at its most deadly.

Torment was brought to life by Chris Barnes with bassist/guitarist Jeff Hughell (Brain Drill) shouldering the load of writing the music, along with heralded drummer Marco Pitruzzella (Brain Drill, Anomalous, Sleep Terror). The combination of Barnes' multi-decade death metal experience and the speed and precision of Hughell and Pitruzzella's relative youth go a long way to cementing this as a solid foundation for high-level death metal. This is immediately apparent in the first track "Sacrificial Kill" and expanded further right away in the second track "Exploratory Homicide". Both Hughell and Pitruzzella are allowed to play their style of metal with a unique Six Feet Under flair. That's what makes "Torment" a unique and welcome addition to the band's stories catalog.

Chris Barnes elaborates on Torment: "I've been lucky to have a lot of standout albums in my career. That's only because I've had a great many talented writing partners and musicians to collaborate with. Our new album, Torment, to me, is one of those albums. Jeff Hughell has provided the flammable material for me to write some explosive lyrics and vocal parts to. I know people always say, "this is my best album ever", and I won't say that, because everyone has their own favorites, but I do enjoy creating new music, and I feel as though with this one we expressed concisely and to the fullest the duality of our music.

"I have also found it important over the years, going back to the start of my career, that the artwork for our albums gets to express, on some level, what the experience is within. To do that this time around we were able to incorporate an amazing new artist, Septian Devenum, to take on the task of visually bringing this album to life. Every song on the album is depicted with a piece of artwork that explores the lyrical content of each song, similar to what we did for the packaging for our album Bringer of Blood. Torment has been a great album to work on and help create, we hope all of our fans appreciate it."

    Humanure

Cattle Decapitation can be described as the bastard child of Cannibal Corpse and Carcass weaving a vicious blend of Gore-grind and Death Metal into complex structures with the end result being some of the most brutal and catchy songs written in the genre today. Cattle Decapitation takes a different approach to their song writing than most bands of the same sort that tend to focus mainly on fictional subject matter. The new album Humanure starts off where their debut album on Metal Blade To Serve Man left off, dealing with the rape of the earth, it's natural resources, and the unjust treatment of animals. Humanure will be the album that metalheads have been longing for; something as ferocious as Cannibal Corpse, something as gutturally disgusting as Carcass, something offensively disturbing as Autopsy, and something as politically charged as Napalm Death.

Hailing from San Diego, CA Cattle Decapitation originally formed in 1996. The lineup initially featured David Astor on bass and Gabe Serbian on drums, both of whom were then also members of the underground phenomena The Locust. Seeking a replacement for their original vocalist, the band turned to Travis Ryan, who had actually been playing drums for another San Diego metal band, Strangulation, in addition to serving as vocalist in a gore metal band called Anal Flatulence. With Ryan on board, Astor moved from bass to drums, and Serbian moved from drums to guitar. The 3-piece quickly released two albums, the Human Jerky LP (on the Nevada label Satan's Pimp) and the Homovore CD/LP. Next, they added a bassist, Troy Oftedal, with whom they recorded their third full-length, To Serve Man, released in the fall of 2002 on Metal Blade, a move that would expose them to more of a death metal-oriented audience (as opposed to the hardcore/grindcore one that they had mostly been playing to before). In 2002, the band added a second guitarist, Josh Elmore (formerly of 7000 Dying Rats), who eventually took over as the band's sole guitarist after Serbian left in order to devote himself more fully into the Locust.

Recorded with producer Bill Metoyer (Slayer, WASP, Six Feet Under) Humanure will feature the latest addition to the band, drummer Michael Laughlin. The band parted ways with drummer David Astor in May of 2003 due to inability to live up to the obligations of touring and regular necessities of the band. Michael, previously of CREATION IS CRUCIFIXION, is most definitely a fitting replacement. Humanure has guest appearances by ex-members of the band including Gabe Serbian and the rest of his band The Locust and the original vocalist, Scott Miller.

Before the Flood on Numbered Limited Edition 180 Gram 2LP from Mobile Fidelity

Live 1974 Set Documents Acclaimed Reunion of Bob Dylan and The Band

Mobile Fidelity's Reissue Gives You a Prime Seat for the Historic Performances

Record Features Solo Dylan, Solo The Band, and Plenty of Collaboration

Dylan's Radical Rearrangements of Classics Give Songs Renewed Meaning and Relevance

The live reunion of Bob Dylan and The Band during 1973-74 yielded one of the decade's most celebrated, dynamic, and astonishing tours. Captured on Before the Flood, the results portray the two artists' shared chemistry as well as Dylan's instinctive ability to challenge audiences, his group, and himself via inventive rearrangements of classics that simultaneously ward off nostalgia and renew with meaning. Said by noted critic Robert Christgau to be at its best, [the] craziest and strongest rock and roll ever recorded, Before the Flood crackles with intensity, relevance, and unhinged performances.

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's world-renowned mastering system and pressed at RTI, this restored analog version cracks wide open the ceiling previously obscuring many of the tonal details, revealing microdynamics, and vocal nuances on the recording. Distinguished with an immediately recognizable sound, The Band comes across in three-dimensional form, while Dylan takes center stage, feet from your listening chair. The two artists play like two souls in communion, a facet displayed here courtesy of the increased airiness, enhanced soundstage depth, and lifelike imaging.

There's so much new information here, this already-iconic album only gains in stature. As experienced on Mobile Fidelity, Before the Flood unquestionably takes its place as one of the ten-best concert releases ever made. Notes are rounded, Garth Hudson's organ claims a tube-like glow, Levon Helm's drumming possesses its own space, voices are perceptible all the way down the singers' throats, and Dylan's awe-inspiring phrasing resonates with palpable urgency. Audiophiles and Dylan fans, prepare to be astonished.

Arriving at a crucial time for both Dylan and The Band, Before the Flood is the furthest thing possible from a nostalgia trip. It's where Dylan begins his now-trademark feat of turning songs upside-down, taking risks, surprising and challenging expectations, leaving audiences riveted to the edge of their seats in anticipation of what might come next. He sings with unabated passion, the moods spanning bitterness to jubilation, his willingness to play fast and loose with the music giving way to compelling shifts, under-the-surface textures, complementary intricacies, and a sense of newness and discovery on par with that of an adventurer embracing total freedom.

Before the Flood buries any notion of limits, safeguards, or borders. It is an open map, each song a route begging for exploration without need or concern for exactness or an appointed leader. Collaborative in every sense, it's a portrait of six inimitable musicians feeding off one another, trusting in their past history as they hurdle towards uncharted territory, using soulfulness as a compass and opportunity as their vehicle.

Wholly different than the live episodes heard on Bob Dylan Live 1966, The "Royal Albert Hall" Concert, Before the Flood is equally seminal and, from the perspective of witnessing an artist dare not only his audience but himself to break through to a new plane, even better. Utterly astounding.

Water-refreshing, soothing, cleansing water-covers more than 70% of our planet's surface and is the only substance in nature to appear naturally in all three common states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. We know water as the nuclei of comets in space; as vapor in the soft clouds of our blue sky; as the crystals that form the many intricate patterns of snowflakes; as vast glaciers atop our planet's most tempting and challenging mountains; as brilliant, white icebergs drifting freely in artic oceans; as freshwater rivers that course through our land; as aquifers in the soil beneath our feet. On the molecular level, water can form large numbers of hydrogen bonds, giving rise to an unusually high surface tension and extreme capillary force, which, in turn, allows water to move upward through narrow tubes against the force of gravity-a life-giving property relied upon by all vascular plants, including our greatest trees: aspens, oaks, and redwoods.

Fascinatingly, the boiling point of water is highly dependent upon the barometric pressure of its environment: Water at the top of K2, for instance, will boil at a temperature different than that of water taken from the Mackenzie River, while the ocean's deepest waters, near geothermal vents, can reach temperatures of hundreds of degrees and yet remain liquid. According to Aristotle, among the classical elements, water held a special place between wind and earth, being both cold like earth and wet like wind, but stood distinctly at odds with fire. And people born under the astrological signs of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces are thought to have dominant water personalities: nurturing, sympathetic, and imaginative. Today, of course, we cherish water for all that it is, and know it best as the one thing that quenches our thirst when all else fails.

SOLID PERFECT-SURFACE COPPER+ (PSC+) CONDUCTORS: Solid conductors prevent both strand-to-strand contacts and magnetic interaction, major sources of distortion. Surface quality is critical because a conductor can be considered as a rail-guide for both the electric fields within a conductor, and for the magnetic fields outside the conductor. The astonishingly smooth and pure surface of all AudioQuest's Perfect-Surface metals nearly eliminates harshness and greatly increases clarity compared to all other premium coppers. The extreme purity of PSC+ further minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries, which exist within any metal conductor.

DIELECTRIC-BIAS SYSTEM (DBS, US Pat #S 7,126,055 & 7,872,195 B1): Creates a strong, stable electrostatic field which saturates and polarizes (organizes) the molecules of the insulation. This dramatically reduces dielectric induced smearing of the signal, letting sound emerge from a "black" background.

CARBON-BASED 6-LAYER NOISE-DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS): Shields-the-shield, reducing RFI contamination of the equipment ground plane.

POLYETHYLENE AIR-TUBE INSULATION: Almost no contact between conductors and insulation further reduces smearing and preserves dynamics.

TRIPLE-BALANCED GEOMETRY: Proper ground-reference conductor prevents using the shield as an inferior ground-reference conductor.

COLD-WELDED, HANGING-SILVER PLATING DIRECTLY OVER HIGH-PURITY RED COPPER PLUGS.
