Silverchair's debut album, Frogstomp, faithfully follows the alternative rock tradition of Nirvana and Pearl Jam, which means that the group of Australian teenagers winds up sounding not like their idols, but like Stone Temple Pilots and Bush. For their age, their instrumental capabilities are quite impressive, as the guitars and vocals growl with the force of rockers in their early 20s.

Freak Show is the second studio album from Australian rock band Silverchair. Freak Show was released on 3 February 1997. The album also gives listeners a glimpse into the band's experimental side, as can be heard in Petrol & Chlorine and Cemetery. Early vinyl pressings also included a precursor to Anthem for the Year 2000 entitled The Millennium Bug.
Silverchair began recording their second studio album, Freak Show, in May 1996 while experiencing the success of their debut album, Frogstomp, in Australia and the US. It was produced by Nick Launay (Birthday Party, Models, Midnight Oil) and was released in February 1997. The album reached number-one in Australia and yielded three Top 10 singles - Freak, Abuse Me, and Cemetery. Its fourth single, The Door, reached No. 25. The songs focused on the anger and backlash that the expectations of Frogstomp brought upon the band. Freak Show was certified gold in the US, 4× platinum in Australia and global sales eventually exceeded 1.5 million copies.LP1

'Neon Ballroom is the third studio album by Australian alternative rock band Silverchair and was released on 8 March 1999. The album debuted at number-one on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified 4× platinum by ARIA. It genereated the singles ''Anthem for the Year 2000'', ''Ana's Song (Open Fire)'', ''Miss You Love'', and ''Paint Pastel Princess''.
Neon Ballroom was an overhaul of the band's musical style found on its first two albums, Frogstomp and Freak Show. ''Anthem for the Year 2000'', for example, retained much of the band's youthful rock energy but featured a new rock song structure and various electronic effects. Eight years after the album's release, Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns said: ''To me, I honestly feel like our first record was Neon Ballroom. I've never felt any different. I don't feel like our first two albums were Silverchair: that's our teenage high school band. I don't like them at all. I listen to them and go, 'That's cute', especially the first one, because Frogstomp we were 14. But the second one we're like 16, I'm like 'You're getting older. You're running out of chances'''.LP1

DioramaAustralian rockers Silverchair released their fourth studio album Diorama in 2002. The follow-up album to Neon Ballroom (1999) was co-produced by Daniel Johns (singer, guitar)and David Bottrill. Diorama marked Johns' first production credit, while Bottril had worked on albums for a variety of other bands (Muse, Tool, The Smashing Pumpkins).
On Diorama Silverchair worked with composer Van Dyke Parks. The album contains various orchestral arrangements and power ballads, which was a change from the post-grunge music typical of their earlier work (Frogstomp and Freak Show), but consistent with the band's previous orchestrations on the album Neon Ballroom. The album includes singles like The Greatest View and Without You. Diorama reached number One on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Albums Chart and won five ARIA Awards in 2002.
Diorama was originally released on vinyl in 2002 in Australia and only available in very small quantities. Music On Vinyl is excited to add a high quality re-issue of this highly looked after vinyl record to their catalogue.1. Across The Night

The band found mainstream success with their follow up album Meantime which debuted at number 68 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hits Unsung and In the Meantime. In 1994, Helmet explored new sonic territories with the fan favorite and critically acclaimed Betty, which incorporated elements of jazz and blues into their thinking man's metal. Following an additional album, Helmet broke up in 1998, while Hamilton explored other projects, including various collaborations and film scores.

As Good As DeadLocal H will dig into their back catalog and release their breakthrough album As Good As Dead on 180 gram vinyl via srcvinyl. This re-issue marks the first time that the album will ever be available in this format. The high-quality, double LP will have a premium gatefold jacket and insert.
As Good As Dead, Local H's second full-length album, was produced by Steven Haigler (Quicksand, Pixies) and was originally released on April, 16, 1996 on Island Records on CD and cassette. The record was the band's first foray into making a concept album and is centered around life in a dead-end, small town. Venerable rock critic Robert Christgau gave the album a stellar A- review in the Village Voice, writing, at the time, "...I wish Pearl Jam, whose leader stars in the title song, packed such isometric power -- that sense of tremendous force bravely exerted against implacable reality -- and I say the exercise makes all of us stronger."
"The question I get asked the absolute most is when are we gonna put the older records out on vinyl?" says Local H frontman, Scott Lucas. "Here's the answer -- in the best possible way. The package is looking pretty good and I'm ALMOST as excited as anybody to finally drop the needle on this album -- on double vinyl, at last."
As Good As Dead spawned four modern rock radio hits including the above-referenced "Eddie Vedder," "Fritz's Corner," "High-Fivin' MF" and "that copacetic song" -- "Bound for the Floor," a track that remains a staple on alternative radio station playlists around the the country two decades later. The band made videos for each of the singles.
Local H, whose members during this time period were Lucas and original drummer Joe Daniels, toured the U.S. non-stop for two years after As Good As Dead was released, headlining their own small and large club shows; opening for Silverchair in bigger venues and Stone Temple Pilots in even bigger arenas (including Madison Square Garden in New York and Rosemont Horizon in Chicago); and performing to audiences of thousands at radio station festivals across the the country, including 1997's HFStival at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC. They toured Australia and played some played some European shows on this album, as well.LP 1

Future Runs Magnetic
Limited Edition White Vinyl (1000 Pieces)
Gatefold Jacket Has Silver Foil Letter Pressed In
Drenik's sensitive vocals have faded into the background in deference to a tough, guitar heavy 70s attack not far at times
from Thin Lizzy or Blue Oyster Cult. That's immediately obvious when the first track, "Just Weight" opens on a wave of
guitar feedback before shifting to a majestic pop/rocker that doesn't overstay its welcome in about three and a half
minutes. - American Songwriter
There aren't a lot of frills or gimmicks surrounding Battleme's second album future runs magnetic because, simply
put, the music speaks for itself. Bombastic, driving and powerful, the album is a timeless
collection of rock anthems. -The Deli
Matt Drenik's latest (and greatest) musical incarnation Battleme is hard to put in one box. He conjures up potent rock
songs dressed up with lush power chords and clean production. That super chunky rock sound along with a heavy,
heavy tone of dreaminess as in stepping into a dreamland makes me think of bands like Spacehog, Silverchair, Smashing Pumpkins, Wires On Fire and even Dream Theater. - American Pancake1. Just Weight
