    Scoop 3 (Pre-Order)

In a world of trendy popsters, the King of Rock Royalty emerges solo with a new masterpiece. Scoop 3 is a continuation of Townshend's infamous Scoop projects, proving that carefully orchestrated lullabys, such as I Think I Like It the Way It Is, can co-exist with the cutting, raw power of bedroom style recording in Dirty Water. Townshend miraculously brings to life a notebook of his art in a fashion that may seem a bit unorthodox to some, but fully realized to devoted music lovers of all ages.

This three LP set offers many moods to travel through, only to realize that Townshend is still a sure bet when it comes to pleasure, beauty, and intensity.

    Scoop (Pre-Order)

Pete Townshend's demos had grown legendary among Who collectors well before the official release of the double-album Scoop in 1983. On each demo,Townshend worked out full arrangements, which the Who would often follow exactly. He also recorded a wealth of songs and instrumental pieces that never made it to record.

Over the course of two albums, Scoop features 25 of these demos, including both classic Who songs (So Sad About Us, Bargain,Behind Blue Eyes, Magic Bus, Love Reign O'er Me) and unreleased gems(Politician, Melancholia, To Barney Kessell, Mary). Occasionally, the songs sound better in their demo versions, particularly on latter-day Who songs, which were over-wrought in their official incarnations.

But what makes Scoop so fascinating is its revelation of the depth and detail of Townshend's imagination, and how he refined his ideas. But even casual fans will find the sheer musicality of the record worthwhile it's one of the most focused and impressive albums he has ever released.

    Another Scoop (Pre-Order)

A second collected volume of demo versions of songs destined to be considered for recording by The Who, this 1987 release on Atco Records is as an even stronger collection than it's 1983 predecessor. It (again) contains rough, acoustic workups of many Who standards in their infant form such as You Better You Bet, Pinball Wizard, Happy Jack, Substitute, Pictures of Lily and The Kids Are Alright among others. The curiosity lies solely in the head-arrangements on songs that were to become associated with time and enveloped within, Roger Daltry's vocal gymnastics. Here, sung by Townshend himself, one can sense the writer's distinct persona.

The comparison to eventual more famous versions is fascinating in most cases. The exposure of these workups reveals how great these songs really are, stripped down. Other selections include Girl In A Suitcase, Brooklyn Kids, Football Fugue, Long Live Rock, Call me Lightning, Holly Like Ivy, Begin The Beguine, Vicious Interlude, La-La-Lies, Cat Snatch, Prelude ##556, Baroque Ippenese, Praying The Game, Drifting Blues, Christmas, Don't Let Go The Coat, Prelude: The Right To Write, Never Ask Me, Ask Yourself, The Ferryman and The Shout.

    But Beautiful (Pure Pleasure)

A highly successful and respected jazz and soul singer, Nancy Wilson bridges the gap between the classic pop vocal era of Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald and the belting R&B divas of today. Though Nancy Wilson has always cited the emotionally naked, androgynous vocal style of Jimmy Scott as her primary influence, her voice carries definite echoes of Dinah Washington and Sarah Vaughan. Yet Wilson also has always had a strong feeling for post-Sam Cooke soul and the tartness of her delivery carries more than an echo of the sometimes-icy Lena Horne. Young and heart-stoppingly beautiful, Wilson was discovered singing in a N.Y.C. jazz club in the late 1950s by Cannonball Adderley, who told his management at Capitol Records that they needed to scoop her up before another label did. Wilson was immediately signed and started recording for Capitol, the premier vocal label of the 1950s and '60s.

    Musicians:

    • Nancy Wilson (vocal)

    • Hank Jones (piano)

    • Gino Bertachini (guitar)

    • Ron Carter (bass)

    • Grady Tate (drums)

Recording: November 1969 in New York City

    Production: David Cavanaughdeutsch

    About Pure Pleasure

At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.

During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.

A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.

We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.

We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.

To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

    Camino Del Sol

1982, Brussels: The former au pair for Rick Wakeman of Yes and two of her teenage friends are at the doorstep of Les Disques Du Crepuscule to make an album with Gilles Martin. They managed to make a contemporary bossanova record that provides the missing link between Antonio Carlos Jobim and Kraftwerk. AntenaÆs album would be issued and promptly forgotten, with Isabelle Antena moving toward jazz in Asia and the others returning to France. Twenty years later, it was findable only as a VG+LP. Intrigued by the striking coverÆs patio furniture at rest in the south of France, Numero Group scooped up Camino Del Sol immediately, giving it the distinction as the second record in their library.

    England Keep My Bones

Frank Turner is ready. On the other side of the Atlantic in his native U.K., he has had a banner year, seeing his single gI Still Believeh catch fire at radio, nominated for NMEfs Best Solo Artist award, scooping the prestigious 'Spirit Of Independence' award from Kerrang, and headlining a sold]out Brixton Academy show in December.

Now Frank Turner is set to release his highly anticipated fourth album, England Keep My Bones, with contributions from Hold Steady keyboardist Franz Nicolay, folk singers Emily Barker and Chris T]T, and Unbelievable Truthfs Andy Yorke.

England Keep My Bones comes on the heels of Frankfs biggest U.S. push so far, a fall tour with Social Distortion, continuing the DIY aesthetic Frank has brought to conquering America: touring with Chuck Raganfs Revival Tour, Gaslight Anthem, and the Offspring, while always taking the opportunity to play at a local record store or living room along the way. Now that he has built a U.S. base one fan at a time, 2011 looks set to be the year of Frank Turner.

Operating in their own microcosm, DVA have stood out with an idiosyncratic sonic lexicon "pop for non-existing radios" or "folklore of non-existing nations", as they say. The duo - it takes two "dva" in Czech, to tango - Bára Kratochvílová and Jan Kratochvíl, have carved out a niche with their rich musical landscape. Established in 2006, the Czech project have toured the world, playing at esteemed festivals including SXSW, Eurosonic, Fusion, Incubate or OFF charming their growing global fanbase with smart sophisticated pop. In 2012, DVA toured the US twice and played more than 80 concerts in 10 countries. DVA's soundtrack for the computer game Botanicula scooped the main prize at Independent Games Festival awards in San Francisco last year, and was also nominated for the UK Sound & Music Awards.

DVA's much-acclaimed debut album Fonók was released in 2008 which was followed by Hu in 2010, and an eponymous soundtrack for the aforementioned video game in 2013 with a new record in the works. Their lyrics, written in an imaginary language, remain abstruse, yet universally comprehensible, while the music is similarly peculiarly universal an aural collage of "pop, kitchen beatbox, tango, cabaret, circus, radio noise", bearing their unmistakable stamp - quirky, but accessible. Championed by critics - from the BBC to national and specialist music press and beyond - and fans alike, DVA are one of the most successful Czech bands to emerge in the last decade. Aside from music, they are also active in theatre whose features they have transferred into the music as well. It is not surprising then that the project's seeds were sewn during the recording of the science fiction radio play by I. Asimov Victory Unintentional. DVA are a living and breathing aural organism, its own thing.

    Ben Webster Meets Oscar Peterson

1959's Ben Webster Meets Oscar Peterson brings together two of the greatest stylists in American musical history. Here, in a program of timeless songs, pianist Oscar Peterson proves to be the perfect foil, his effortless swing an excellent set-up for the unhurried scoops, slurs and bent notes of tenor saxophone balladeer Ben Webster. Supporting musicians include Ray Brown on bass and Ed Thigpen on drums. On par with Webster's classic Soulville.

    Klipsch Reference X20i In-Ear Headphones

    Hear The Air

X20i is the most revealing in-ear headphone Klipsch has ever created. High frequencies are reproduced with extreme accuracy and bass is clear, full, and warm. Breaking down the limitations of the capabilities in the class, X20i brings a new standard to headphone acoustics. Powered by a true two-way dual armature design, the high-horsepower KG-926T woofer is paired to a high resolution KG-125B super tweeter. This brings about a palpable sound character and makes X20i the broadest bandwidth in-ear headphone available from Klipsch.

    High Resolution Super Tweeter

Placing X20i into a class of its own, the KG-125B super tweeter provides a truly transparent sound. With high-frequency performance designed to take advantage of superb lossless recordings, this headphone provides hi-hats and cymbals with true-to-life realism.

    Surgical-Grade Stainless Steel

Injection-molded surgical-grade stainless steel is the main material used in the X20i chassis. Featuring a reverse hood scoop, X20i is one of the smallest and most durable two-way headphones available today.

    Super-Slim Ear Tips

X20i features the most comfortable ear tip ever designed by Klipsch. Pre-installed, the most popular ear tip has been redesigned into a super slim form. After extensive research, surveys lead to the conclusion that ear canals are even narrower than previously thought. The super slim ear tip responds to that by using an even narrower and more tapered design, allowing people who have never found in-ear monitors to be comfortable to wear them without issue. However, since all ears are unique, included with the product are five additional sizes to pick from.

    Interchangeable Cables

Another impressive feature of X20i is the ability to swap cables. Screw-type coaxial SSMCX connectors for both left and right sides allow for swapping cables or using custom balanced cables. Roughly 35% smaller than industry-standard MMCX connectors, X20i has all the advantages of interchangeable cables without the bulk.

    Advanced Three-Button Mic And Remote

Enjoy easy control of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod while listening to music, watching movies and answering phone calls.

    Accessories

Featuring a stainless black finish, each comes with genuine leather carrying case, tie bar, five different sized ear tips and a one-year warranty.
