Is This The Life We Really Want? (On Sale)Roger Waters, the creative power and songwriting force behind Pink Floyd, presents Is This The Life We Really Want?, his first rock album in 25 years. The album is produced and mixed by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Paul McCartney, Beck, U2, From the Basement), and includes 12 new Roger Waters musical compositions and studio performances.
Roger Waters' last studio album, 1992's Amused To Death, was a prescient study of popular culture, exploring the power of television in the era of the First Gulf War. This long-awaited follow-up, Is This The Life We Really Want ?, is an unflinching commentary on the modern world and uncertain times, and a natural successor to such classic Pink Floyd albums as Animals and The Wall.
Tracks on Is This The Life We Really Want? include: When We Were Young, DÉjà vu, The Last Refugee, Picture That, Broken Bones, The Life We Really Want, A Bird In A Gale, The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, Smell the Roses, Wait For Her, Oceans Apart, and Part of Me Died. The lyrics for Wait for Her were written by Roger Waters and inspired by an English translation by an unknown author of Lesson from the Kama Sutra (Wait for Her), by Mahmoud Darwish.
The musicians on Is This The Life We Really Want? are: Roger Waters (vocals, acoustic, bass), Nigel Godrich (arrangement, sound collages, keyboards, guitar), Gus Seyffert (bass, guitar, keyboards), Jonathan Wilson (guitar, keyboards), Joey Waronker (drums), Roger Manning (keyboards), Lee Pardini (keyboards) and Lucius (vocals) with Jessica Wolfe and Holly Proctor.

Roger Waters The Wall
Limited Edition Triple 180 Gram LP Set
Accompanies The Concert Film, The Wall, Filmed During Waters' 2010-2013 Tour
Now that Roger Waters has released his new concert film of The Wall, filmed on the former Pink Floyd singer-songwriter's recent world tour, he is putting out an accompanying soundtrack album. Between 2010 and 2013, the singer performed the 1979 double-album, home to Comfortably Numb and Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2), live more than 200 times. Like the film, the soundtrack, titled Roger Waters The Wall, contains recordings from around the world and is being released as a 3 LP Set.
Waters performed the album for approximately 4.5 million people during the course of the tour with help from an 11-person backing group. Singer Robbie Wyckoff handled the vocal parts that Floyd's David Gilmour sang on the original record, while the guitars were handled by Dave Kilminster, former SNL bandleader G.E. Smith and Snowy White, the last of whom performed on Floyd's original The Wall tour. Waters' son Harry performed Hammond organ and piano on the tour.
Frequent Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich, who provided music production and mixing for the film, produced the album.
The soundtrack will run longer than the original Wall album, which spanned only two LPs, as it includes two songs removed from the original release - Last Few Bricks and What Shall We Do Now? - which Floyd had added back in for live performances. This version of The Wall also includes The Ballad of Jean Charles de Menezes, which Waters incorporated into his performances of the album beginning in 2011 in tribute to a 27-year-old Brazilian man that London police killed thinking, wrongly, that he was a terrorist.
The soundtrack marks the third time The Wall has been released as a live album. In 1990, Waters released The Wall: Live in Berlin, which he'd recorded and filmed less than a year after the Berlin Wall fell with a star-studded cast, including Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Marianne Faithfull, the Band, SinÉad O'Connor, Cyndi Lauper and Tim Curry, among others. A decade later, Pink Floyd released Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live 1980-81, which contains recordings of Waters' final tour as a member of the band.
Waters told Rolling Stone that the meaning behind The Wall hadn't changed for him over the years. The context changes, but the story remains the same, he said. If people see this movie, what I hope is that that they may look at one another and go, 'You know what? We are a community, and we are many. There are a lot of us.'

AnimalsAnimals is innovative and musically diverse. Inspired in part by George Orwell's political fable Animal Farm, Roger Waters condemns the avarice and inequalities of capitalism, metaphorically and musically grouping humans as pigs, dogs, and sheep. The pigs are self-righteous hypocrites inflicting their beliefs on everyone else, the dogs greedy money-grabbers, and the sheep witless followers. Dark, cynical, and brilliantly composed, Animals is an ingenious and under-acknowledged album. -Naomi Gesinger1. Pigs on the Wing 1

Amused To DeathMastered by Pink Floyd Producer/Engineer James Guthrie & Doug Sax from the Original Analog Master Tapes
Pressed by Quality Record Pressings
"It is the poet's responsibility to foresee the future, and it is his neighbor's duty to prevent the worst of it from taking place. With Amused To Death, surely one of the most provocative and musically dazzling records of the decade, Roger Waters has fulfilled his part of the bargain." - Timothy White, "Music to My Ears," Billboard Magazine, July 1992
An unblinking look at an entertainment-obsessed society, Amused to Death addresses issues that have only grown in complexity and urgency over the past two decades. With Amused to Death, Roger Waters sounded the alarm about a society increasingly - and unthinkingly - in thrall to its television screens. Twenty-three years later, Amused to Death speaks to our present moment in ways that could scarcely have been anticipated two decades ago. In 2015, television is just one option in an endless array of distractions available to us anytime, anywhere, courtesy of our laptops, tablets and smartphones. With eyes glued to our screens, the dilemmas and injustices of the real world can easily recede from view.
The 2015 2 LP 200-gram vinyl edition of Amused to Death features remastered audio completed by longtime Roger Waters / Pink Floyd collaborator and co-producer, James Guthrie, and has been pressed at Quality Record Pressings. The cover and gatefold art has been updated for 2015 by Sean Evans, the creative director of Waters' 2010-2013 The Wall Live tour and movie.

The WallRanked 87/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time
Heavyweight 180 Gram Vinyl
Certified Triple Platinum
Reached Number One In The UK And The Us
The Wall is the eleventh studio album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd. It is the last studio album released with the classic lineup of guitarist David Gilmour, bassist/lyricist Roger Waters, keyboardist Richard Wright and drummer Nick Mason before Wright left the band. Released as a double album on 30 November 1979, it was supported by a tour with elaborate theatrical effects, and adapted into a 1982 feature film, Pink Floyd - The Wall. The album features the band's only number one single; Another Brick in the Wall Part 2.
As with Pink Floyd's previous three albums, The Wall is a concept album and explores themes of abandonment and personal isolation. The album is a rock opera that follows Pink, a character whom Waters modelled after himself and the band's original leader, Syd Barrett. Pink's life begins with the loss of his father during the Second World War and continues with abuse from his schoolteachers, an overprotective mother, and the breakdown of his marriage; all contribute to his eventual self-imposed isolation from society, represented by a metaphorical wall. Waters conceived the album during Pink Floyd's 1977 In the Flesh Tour, when his frustration with the audience became so acute that he imagined a wall between the audience and the stage.
The Wall features a harsher and more theatrical style than Pink Floyd's previous albums. Wright left the band during its production but remained as a salaried musician, performing with Pink Floyd during the Wall tour. The album was one of the best selling of 1980, and by 1999 it had sold over 23 million RIAA-certified units (11.5 million albums), making it the third highest certified album in the United States. Rolling Stone placed The Wall at number 87 on its list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.LP1

Hello (I Love You)Very limited last copies of this audiophile 12 vinyl single of the Roger Waters song Hello
(I Love You).
First come first served!
Hello (I Love You) is a song performed by former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters. The
song was created as a collaborative effort with Howard Shore for the 2007 film The Last Mimzy.
As Waters stated, I think together we've come up with a song that captures the themes of the
movie - the clash between humanity's best and worst instincts, and how a child's innocence can
win the day.
Waters performed vocals and the bass for the song.
The song itself contains references to the Pink Floyd albums The Wall and The Dark Side of the
Moon, as well as Waters' solo album Radio KAOS.

Give My Love To LondonLegendary British singer Marianne Faithfull will celebrate her storied career's 50th anniversary later this fall with the release of Give My Love to London.
As Marianne Faithfull's 20th studio album, Give My Love To London is the latest installment in an outstanding musical career. A characteristically far-reaching and eclectic offering, Give My Love To London is an album of emotional extremes.
Produced by Rob Ellis and Dimitri Tikovoi and mixed by Flood, it features an impressive roll call of studio collaborators including Adrian Utley

BBC The Radiophonic Workshop
180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl
Available On Vinyl For The 1st Time
The BBC Radiophonic Workshop, set up in 1958, was originally created as a sound effects unit for BBC Radio and TV programs. Pioneering new forms of drama during the late 1950s and early 60s demanded innovative and original use ofmusic and sound. The art of what became known as sounddesign began in the cramped undergroundstudiosof the Radiophonic Workshop at the BBC Maida Vale complex in London. Their early explorations into sound drew on the principles of musique concrete, early tape manipulation techniques and primitive oscillators and tone circuits built by technicians at the workshop. As technology developed and the synthesizer, tape technology, computers and early digital sampling emerged the Radiophonic Workshop maintained an their position at the leading edge of electronic music and sound design.
The vast body of work that emerged between 1960 and 1997 has influenced generations of musicians both within electronica and more widely in the Rock, Progressive and Pop field. Groundbreaking work such as Delia' Darbyshire's 1963 Doctor Who Theme (still the high water mark of experimental music), sound effects albums, works of early electronica and popular favourites such as Blake's 7 and The Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy have ensured the RWS a place at electronica's top table. From the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Vangelis to Orbital, The Chemical Brothers and beyond, their legacy lives on in the sounds and textures of so much contemporary music. But it isn't just musicians who have drawn on their work.
The technical development of the studio and modern recording techniques owes them a great debt too. Sound engineer Roger Mayer, who supplied effects pedals to Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix, is just one of many engineers for whom their work proved inspirational. He described the Workshop as, ''the great unsung heroes of British electronica.''
These two records, recorded in 1968 and 1975 respectively, were released at the height of The Radiophonic Workshop's influence. They showcase the dawning of processed sound, treated sounds and sound design.
Quirky and irreverent BBC Radiophonic Music was originally put out as a specialist demonstration library disc for BBC drama producers. In 1971 the BBC released it commercially. This is the first time it has been made available on vinyl in its first and original form.
The Radiophonic Workshop from 1975 was a compilation of the best-known of the Radiophonic Workshop's output to date. This is the first time it has seen a vinyl reissue in its original form.
Both albums have been remastered for vinyl from the original tapes by the Radiophonic Workshop's archivist Mark Ayres. Pressed on 180 gram audiophile vinyl.1. Malcolm Clarke - La Grande Pièce De La Foire De La Rue Delaware

I'm Ready (Pure Pleasure)For the middle album of his Johnny Winter-produced, late-'70s musical trilogy, blues giant Muddy Waters brought a new spirit to some familiar material. Starting with members of Waters' touring band - pianist Pinetop Perkins, bassist Bob Margolin, and drummer Willie Big Eyes Smith - Winter added underrated guitarist (and longtime Waters foil) Jimmy Rogers and extraordinary harp player Big Walter Horton to the mix. The songs recorded for I'm Ready offer a mix of new material and vintage hit singles like the title cut, the mid-'60s jewel Screamin' and Cryin', or the Willie Dixon-penned I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man. Waters and band provide these well-worn gems with a little new studio polish, but it is with the newer songs that the performers really shine.

About Pure Pleasure
At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.
During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.
A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.
We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.
We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.
To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.1. I'm Ready

More SoundtrackConcocted for director Barbet Schroeder's dystopian hippie road flick, this album marks Floyd's first venture into film scoring, a task they undertake with a verve that overshadows their lack of formal training in the field. With just a handful of cuts echoing the trippy, atmospheric space-rock that was so much a part of their early career, there's a surprisingly familiar dedication to songcraft evident here, especially for a soundtrack.
Roger Waters's acoustic ballads (Cirrus Minor, Crying Song, Green is the Color), dark and dirge-like, are familiar predecessors to music that would highlight Wish You Were Here and The Wall, while Dave Gilmour's slashing riffs on The Nile Song also foreshadow greatness to come. Moody and surprisingly eclectic, More has rightly earned its place as a Floyd cult fave. --Jerry McCulley1. Cirrus Minor

Good GriefFrom collaborating with the likes of Tweedy and David Byrne, to becoming such a part of the Newport Folk Festival family that they were asked to back up Roger Waters during this year's incredible headlining performance, the last two years have been the best in the Lucius' career. Now, the Brooklyn band is prepping to keep the good times going with the release of their latest LP, Good Grief.
Arriving via Mom + Pop Music, Good Grief was produced by Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, Weezer) and Bob Ezrin, along with the band themselves. The 11 tracks see the singer-songwriter duo of Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig exploring the emotions of "loneliness, sadness and exhaustion alongside excitement, fulfillment and some of the most joyful moments in our lives" that they experienced while touring behind their last record. "Whenever one of us had an idea or a feeling," Wolfe said in a press release, "the other was already a witness to it and could help navigate through it - for the two of us, this usually came in song form."

Long GoneAnalogue Productions is proud to present Long Gone, the debut album by the sensational new rock/ blues, guitarist/ singer-songwriter Jimmy D. Lane. While the listener will hear echoes of Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan in Jimmy's playing, he is his own man, a fact recognized recently by Eric Clapton when, after playing together with Jimmy on a forthcoming tribute album to Jimmy's father, Jimmy Rogers, Clapton proclaimed Jimmy Lane an incredible guitarist. Indeed, the strongest influence on Jimmy's musical development has been his father.
Long Gone features Jimmy Lane with bassist Freddie Crawford (also a veteran member of Jimmy Rogers band and Jimmy Lane's regular group) and legendary drummer Jim Keltner, who has performed and/or recorded with everyone from John Lennon and Bob Dylan to the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton. Jimmy Lane's repertoire on Long Gone is made up of his own originals and covers by blues and rock greats including Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Rogers, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters and Albert King.
If anyone comes by the blues honestly, it's Jimmy D. Lane... his guitar playing is powerful and inspirational; you may find yourself playing air guitar for the first time in years... Lane gives us an electric guitar extravaganza of a type that was abundant 25-30 years ago but is nowadays rare.
-- Larry Kay, FI Magazine
Long Gone should move Jimmy D. Lane directly to the front ranks of those who will take the blues into the next century.

Autumn ResponseA spartan folk/pop record filled with tinderbox intimacies, composed of some of the shortest songs ever recorded by Youngs. Autumn Response is a singer-songwriter album; his fingers slip over the steel strings with little feet and whispery toes, his gently prophetic songs evoke Roger Waters, and the folk phase play is sure to appeal to fans of Animal Collective's Sung Tongs.1.I Need The Light

Crow Jane AlleyFirst Time On Vinyl
It's hard to get a handle on what to call Willy DeVille's multi-genre music, though AMG writer Thom Jurek's description of ''Spanish soul-inflected love songs'' comes close. ''Muddy Waters Rose Out of the Mississippi Mud'' would be perfect for Rusty Kershaw, God rest his soul, a nice complement to the laid-back cover of Jay & the Americans' Top Three hit from 1964, ''Come a Little Bit Closer'' -- its presentation a wonderful nod to songwriters Wes Farrell and Bobby Hart. The evolution is startling 28 years after Mink DeVille gave listeners ''Let Me Dream if I Want To'' on the classic punk LP Live at CBGB's, and DeVille emerges as a major interpreter. The four minutes and 31 seconds of Bryan Ferry's ''Slave to Love'' may be one of the most distinct and unique adaptations of a Ferry tune put on record to date. Outside of the covers, the other eight tracks are Willy DeVille originals, ''(Don't Have A) Change of Heart'' liberally borrowing the melody from Kenny Rogers' hit ''Lucille.'' ''Trouble Comin' Every Day in a World'' slinks and lurks around the corner with another stylistic change, sounding a bit like that other Willie from the same era, Bostonian Willie ''Loco'' Alexander. Crow Jane Alley is a very respectable collection from this journeyman, starting off with the single ''Chieva'' and continuing with DeVille's novel exploration of sound and clever merging of styles.1. A Momentary Lapse Of ReasonA Momentary Lapse of Reason, Pink Floyd's thirteenth studio album, was originally released in the UK and US in September 1987. It followed guitarist David Gilmour's decision to include material recorded for his third solo album on a new Pink Floyd album with drummer Nick Mason and keyboardist Richard Wright. Although for legal reasons Wright could not be re-admitted to the band, Wright and Mason helped Gilmour craft what became the first Pink Floyd album since the December 1985 departure of bass guitarist, singer, and primary songwriter Roger Waters.1. Red Beans And Weiss
Executive Produced By Johnny Depp and Tom Waits
Which Chuck E. Weiss do we talk about here? The one who so impressed blues legends Lightnin'
Hopkins and Willie Dixon as a Denver teenager that they took him out in their road bands? The one
who lived in LA's Tropicana Hotel in the 70s alongside Tom Waits and Rickie Lee Jones, ending up
namechecked on the classic Waits albums Small Change and Nighthawks at the Diner, and in Rickie Lee Jones' hit "Chuck E.'s in Love"? The one who has recorded with Tom Waits, Muddy Waters,
Howlin' Wolf, Roger Miller, Dr. John, Willie Dixon? Whichever Chuck E. Weiss you choose, he's a
legend, and his new album Red Beans and Weiss delivers on the big personality. Executive produced
by Johnny Depp and Tom Waits, Red Beans and Weiss blends blues, barrelhouse, and bluster into

The Piper At The Gates Of DawnPink Floyd's debut album released in 1967, featuring the original line-up of Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Richard Wright and Nick Mason.
The title of Pink Floyd's debut album is taken from a chapter in Syd Barrett's favorite children's book, The Wind in the Willows, and the lyrical imagery of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn is indeed full of colorful, childlike, distinctly British whimsy, albeit filtered through the perceptive lens of LSD. Barrett's catchy, melodic acid pop songs are balanced with longer, more experimental pieces showcasing the group's instrumental freak-outs, often using themes of space travel as metaphors for hallucinogenic experiences -- Astronomy Domine is a poppier number in this vein, but tracks like Interstellar Overdrive are some of the earliest forays into what has been tagged space rock. But even though Barrett's lyrics and melodies are mostly playful and humorous, the band's music doesn't always bear out those sentiments -- in addition to Rick Wright's eerie organ work, dissonance, chromaticism, weird noises, and vocal sound effects are all employed at various instances, giving the impression of chaos and confusion lurking beneath the bright surface.
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn successfully captures both sides of psychedelic experimentation -- the pleasures of expanding one's mind and perception, and an underlying threat of mental disorder and even lunacy; this duality makes Piper all the more compelling in light of Barrett's subsequent breakdown, and ranks it as one of the best psychedelic albums of all time.

Perpetual SurrenderDIANA are an enigmatic foursome from Toronto, where they must be putting something in the water with the
number of great bands hailing from there. Consisting of Joseph Shabason, Kieran and singer Carmen Elle, with Paul Mathew recently joining the live line up, Shabason and Adams met while studying jazz at music college where they played extensively together. Having lent their skills (saxophone and drums, respectively) to many bands, including Bonjay, The Hidden Cameras and Shabason's recent contributions to Destroyer's excellent Kaputt, it was a leap of faith to make their own full-length. But the time had come.
After a songwriting sabbatical in the Canadian countryside, Shabason and Adams went into the studio with engineer and co-producer Roger Leavens. They asked Toronto musician and vocalist Carmen Elle to sing on a track, as both Kieran and Joseph knew her from her work with other bands such as the much feted but short-lived Spiral Beach, all of whose members have since gone on to play in various successful Canadian bands from Austra to Doldrums. The pair thought her voice might add something special, this turned out to be a huge understatement. Even though Shabason and Adams wrote the songs, the lyrics and melodies belonged to Elle the moment they escaped her mouth, each nuance of phrasing and melody deepening the sentiments. With this last dazzling piece of the puzzle in place, DIANA was born.
Right from the first note we're reeled into DIANA's intimate world, with the dense, ambient swell that begins album opener 'Foreign Installation'. A heady mix of drums, electric guitar and lush production, all sewn together and lifted by Carmen's soothing vocal, their sound is addictive from the off. The pace is picked up with 'That Feeling', the detached refrain We were blind to all the ways we sat and watched it fade away echoing through a mist of synths layered over insistent drums and bass. It is future music with an undeniable pop sensibility,
though never overwhelming, the glossy yet sparse production always leaving just enough room for the
Album highlight 'Perpetual Surrender' boasts an impressive travelling bassline, with Carmen's gorgeous vocal repeating "I need saving from myself" over blown beats and perhaps the year's best indie sax solo, all coming together to create well over four minutes of eerie, blissed-out ambience.
Though there are glances to music past and kinship with music present, there is a progressive and contemporary feel to the record. DIANA comparisons traverse eras and genres; from the soft-focus soft rock and pop of Roxy Music to the dreamy production of jj and Chromatics, topped off with the Balearic disco swirl of Studio. While referencing so many, Carmen's unique vocal brings them their own voice. For DIANA, the point is to push things forward, summed up with the embryonic bliss of instrumental closer 'Curtains', a startling piece of atmospheric
production that stays with you long after the last sound has echoed into the ether.1. Foreign Installation
