    Weather Diaries

Ride's first album in over twenty years, Weather Diaries, will be released June 16th via Wichita Recordings. The album was produced by legendary DJ, producer and remixer Erol Alkan, and is packed with all the classic elements that made Ride one of the defining bands of the early '90s. Trembling distortion, beautiful harmonies, pounding rhythms, shimmering soundscapes and great songwriting all combine to make an album that's ambitious in scope, timeless and thoroughly addictive. The album will be released through Wichita Recordings and sees the band reunited with label co-founders Mark Bowen and Dick Green, who worked with Ride during the band's early years on Creation Records. It also brings the band back together with mixer Alan Moulder (Arctic Monkeys, Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers) who mixed their seminal 1990 album 'Nowhere' and produced its follow up 'Going Blank Again.'

    Can't Get Enough

Two time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Stephen Stills and five-time Grammy nominated guitarist, songwriter and singer Kenny Wayne Shepherd may be separated by a musical generation, but they are bonded by a mutual love of the blues. When they joined forces with famed Chicago rock/blues keyboardist Barry Goldberg and formed The Rides, their extraordinary collective histories proved to be unparalleled - blazing a 21st Century trail for the historical American art form.

Launching an exciting new chapter in each of their storied careers, the trio's new band is further powered by the explosive rhythm section of bassist Kevin McCormick and Shepherd's longtime drummer Chris Layton (also a veteran of the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble).

Their 429 Records debut, Can't Get Enough features the new single Don't Want Lies and showcases a hard hitting mix of Stills-Goldberg-Shepherd penned blues/rock originals as well as some classic blues tunes. Also included are brilliant interpretations of Muddy Waters, Honey Bee, Elmore James & Talk To Me Baby and blistering twists on Stills' favorite Neil Young anthem & Rockin' In The Free World as well as the Iggy Pop & The Stooges early 70s
    classic Search and Destroy.

    Ride Your Heart

On the heels of three well-received singles comes Ride Your Heart, the bombastic debut album by LA band Bleached. Sisters Jennifer and Jessie Clavin match their ability to blend a mix of freewheeling '77 punk with vintage sunny Southern California melodic rock and roll; creating blindingly bright hooks and dark heartfelt lyrics about love, loss, and the crazy fun moments in between. That's the goal: the sugary and sour, repurposed by two aggressively harmonic musicians and songwriters. Their first single Next Stop epitomizes this movement - fun, raw, adventurous and free. Tossing you out onto the dance floor, hair mussed from make-outs, cigarette still dangling from your fingertips.

As a whole, the twelve tracks on Ride Your Heart reveal the many facets of Bleached's music in a delicious vortex of playful harmonies, tangled guitars, and golden noise. Each song brings a new element, while also imbibing the classic moods of bands as varied and iconic in nature as The Ramones and The Cars to The Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac. From the syncopated backbeat and two-part chorus of Dead In Your Head,, the rolling riffs and sparkling melodies of Searching Through The Past and the pulsating energy and urgency of Dreaming Without You and Outta My Mind, Bleached take you on a sweeping emotional roller coaster that churns and burns. Ride Your Heart is a thrilling, beating, glorious wall of sound strong enough to withstand its own impact.

    Ride The Lightning

Ride the Lightning is the second studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica. The album was recorded in three weeks with producer Flemming Rasmussen at the Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. The artwork, based on the band's concept, represents an electric chair in the midst of a thunderstorm. The album title was taken from a passage in Stephen King's novel The Stand. Whilst still rooted in the thrash metal genre, the album showcased the band's musical maturity and lyrical sophistication. This was partially because bassist Cliff Burton introduced the basics of music theory to the rest of the band and because he had more input in the songwriting. It was the last album to feature songwriting contribution from former lead guitarist Dave Mustaine.

Ride the Lightning received positive response from music critics, who saw it as a more ambitious effort than its predecessor. Metallica promoted the album on the Bang That Head That Doesn't Bang European tour in late 1984, and on its North American leg in the first half of 1985. The band performed at a few major music festivals, such as Monsters of Rock and Day on the Green later that year. Two months after its release, Elektra Records signed Metallica to a multi-year contract and reissued the album. Ride the Lightning peaked at number 100 on the Billboard 200 with no radio exposure. Although 75,000 copies were initially pressed for the American market, the album sold half a million by November 1987. It was certified 6× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2012 for shipping six million copies in the United States. Many rock publications have ranked Ride the Lightning on their best album lists, saying it had a lasting impact on the genre.

    Independent Worm Saloon

First Time Ever Domestic Vinyl Release

"Independent Worm Saloon" is the major label debut by the Butthole Surfers originally released by Capitol Records in 1993. Riding the wave of the early 90s alternative explosion the band used some of that major label money and hired former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones as producer and the result is a tight in your face album that didn't tone down the band at all. Gibby Haynes is in fine form with his often hilarious and bizarre vocals and lyrics working their way into your brain on all out rockers like "Who Was In My Room Last Night?" and "Goofy's Concern" and on the more mellow numbers such as "The Ballad Of Naked Man" and "You Don't Know Me".

Buffalo Killers are a rock band
that was formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2006. Shortly after,
they began gigging through-out Ohio and recorded a
    five-song demo which they
    sent out to various record
labels. Less than a week later
the band received a call from
    Alive Records; "The label
    liked the recordings so much
    that they wanted to release
    them as they were", according
    to bassist Zach Gabbard. Alive
    Records subsequently signed
    Buffalo Killers, who recorded
five more songs to round out
their debut self-titled album which was released in October 2006. That
album drew the attention of Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes who
invited the band to open a string of dates for The Black Crowes in 2007.
While on tour, Buffalo Killers wrote half of what would become the
    album Let it Ride.

Following the tour, the band went in to the studio with Black Keys
vocalist/guitarist Dan Auerbach who produced the album in his Akron,
OH studio. The recording session took "only a few days", according to
Auerbach, who downplayed his role in making the album. "These are
the kind of guys that don't need a lot of help when it comes to making
records or sparking their imagination." Auerbach felt his most important contribution was in capturing "the raw live sound of this band."
After completion of the album Buffalo Killers were asked to go on tour
with The Black Keys. During this tour they came upon a fan's bootleg
of their performance and they decided to include it as a bonus live CD
in a limited edition vinyl pressing of the album. Another tour opening
for The Black Crowes would follow in November 2008. In 2011, Buffalo
Killers were featured on a Guided by Voices tribute album where they
performed the track Scalding Creek with Kelley Deal of The Breeders.
Other artists on that album included The Flaming Lips, Of Montreal,
    and Dinosaur Jr.

Buffalo Killers released their third studio album appropriately titled
3 featuring the single Circle Day. The first thousand vinyl copies were
released half on blue vinyl and half on purple. They followed that record
up with Dig Sow Love Grow and the six song EP Ohio Grass. In 2013,
the band signed to Sun Pedal Recordings and appeared at the Bunbury
Music Festival in Cincinnati, OH with Fun, Teagan & Sara, Walk the
Moon, and more. Their sixth studio album (Fireball of Sulk) was recorded in Cleveland, OH at Crushtone Studios with producer Jim Wirt
(Incubus, Fiona Apple) and will be released via Sun Pedal Recordings in
    2015.

    Ride Out

Bob Seger has emerged from the studio equipped with a new album, Ride Out, set to be released on Capitol Records. The first single, "Detroit
Made," pays homage to America's love affair with the automobile. The uptempo song hit radio airwaves August 15, serving as the perfect backdrop to the
20th annual Woodward Dream Cruise, the world's largest one day celebration of classic car culture.

"I feel really good about this record," says Seger. "This album touches on how I think a lot of us feel about finding our place in a more complicated world - from how we appreciate things as simple and pure as love, to navigating through the corruption and violence that permeates the news. It sums up a lot of
feelings I have about a variety of subjects."

Produced by Seger, the new collection stays true to his legendary sound as he effortlessly marries rock, blues and country, yielding an album with all the
hallmarks of the rocker's deep catalog of hits. Seger began teasing tracks from the album during his 2013 tour, including "Detroit Made," "All of The
Roads" and "California Stars." Ride Out is Seger's first studio album since his 2006 platinum-certified Face The Promise and follows his 2011 platinum-certified release, Ultimate Hits: Rock and Roll Never Forgets.

Bob Seger has sold more than 51 million albums and has racked up 13 platinum and 7 multi-platinum RIAA-certified album sales awards in the U.S.
alone. He is both a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, and his Greatest Hits, Against The Wind, Night Moves, Stranger In
Town, Nine Tonight, and Live Bullet have been RIAA-certified for more than five million U.S. album sales each. The 1994 Greatest Hits collection was the
#1 best-selling catalog album in the U.S. during the past decade (2001-2009), as reported by Billboard/SoundScan.

    Ride

For his fiftieth birthday, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian wanted one present more than any other - the reunion of one of his favorite unsung heroes, Mother Superior - only he wanted to be a part of the lineup. They're a great, classic band that hit me in the same spot as all my favorite '70s bands, whether it's UFO, Ted Nugent, Cheap Trick or KISS, Ian explains. I knew getting to play with them would be like joining KISS.

Thanks to Scott's wife Pearl Aday, who has been working with Mother Superior front man Jim Wilson for years, all it took was a quick phone call and the stage was literally set for Scott's dream gig.

The band, which quickly gained the interests of Joey Vera (Armored Saint/Fates Warning) and John Tempesta (White Zombie, The Cult) called itself Motor Sister after the Mother Superior song Little Motor Sister and got together the day before the party to rehearse in Ian's jam room. The energy in the room was amazing, Ian says. It felt awesome. It was just something we did for fun and to celebrate my birthday.

The minute I started to play with Scott, Joey and John the chemistry was amazing, Wilson says. We sounded like a band that had been together forever. Enthralled at the idea of making a record of his favorite Mother Superior songs, Ian contacted producer Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Steel Panther, Stone Sour) and asked if he thought it was possible to recapture the same spontaneous energy generated at their makeshift gig. He said, 'Yeah, we can make the record in two days and we can make it sound really good.' So that's what we did, Ian says. A week and a half later, we made the record in LA over a two day period. We recorded the whole thing live in the studio.

While everyone in Motor Sister is busy with their day jobs, they are all interested in playing live as much as possible. We are a great live band Ian says. We proved it to ourselves in my jam room. It was our ability to play live together that made this happen and I can see us getting onstage and playing this shit back-to-back, Ramones-style, and just blowing people's minds with the power of these songs. And the door is always open to write more material because Pearl and Jim are always working together and I'm always with them. So we'll see what happens in the future.

The 10 tracks on Ride Out the Dark also include favorites like Francis and Bee Keeper, and while it doesn't include any 20-minute freakout jams, contains plenty of band fireworks from the ensemble of local all-stars: Katie Bernstein, John Gnorski, Courtney Sheedy, Mike Yun, and Graeme Gibson.

    Ride The Lightning

Kill 'Em All may have revitalized heavy metal's underground, but Ride the Lightning was even more stunning, exhibiting staggering musical growth and boldly charting new directions that would affect heavy metal for years to come. Incredibly ambitious for a one-year-later sophomore effort, Ride the Lightning finds Metallica aggressively expanding their compositional technique and range of expression. Every track tries something new, and every musical experiment succeeds mightily. The lyrics push into new territory as well -- more personal, more socially conscious, less metal posturing. But the true heart of Ride the Lightning lies in its rich musical imagination. There are extended, progressive epics; tight, concise groove-rockers; thrashers that blow anything on Kill 'Em All out of the water, both in their urgency and the barest hints of melody that have been added to the choruses. Some innovations are flourishes that add important bits of color, like the lilting, pseudo-classical intro to the furious Fight Fire with Fire, or the harmonized leads that pop up on several tracks. Others are major reinventions of Metallica's sound, like the nine-minute, album-closing instrumental The Call of Ktulu, or the haunting suicide lament Fade to Black. The latter is an all-time metal classic; it begins as an acoustic-driven, minor-key ballad, then gets slashed open by electric guitars playing a wordless chorus, and ends in a wrenching guitar solo over a thrashy yet lyrical rhythm figure. Basically, in a nutshell, Metallica sounded like they could do anything. Heavy metal hadn't seen this kind of ambition since Judas Priest's late-'70s classics, and Ride the Lightning effectively rewrote the rule book for a generation of thrashers. If Kill 'Em All was the manifesto, Ride the Lightning was the revolution itself.

    Bizarre Ride II

Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde" is the debut album from The Pharcyde. Released in late 1992, the album was hailed
by critics and rap fans alike. Produced entirely by J-Swift with easily some of the tightest and most inventive beats
of the era, "Bizarre Ride" features only one guest appearance, provided by little known Los Angeles rapper
Buckwheat (who would become known as "Bucwheed" from The Wascals). Released during the dominant Gangsta
Rap era of the West Coast, the music was described as "refreshing" due to its playful, light-hearted humor and lush,
jazzy production. Along with albums like "To Whom it May Concern " by Freestyle Fellowship, and "I Wish My
Brother George Was Here" by Del tha Funkee Homosapien, "Bizarre Ride" helped establish a new alternative scene
on the West Coast followed by artists such as Hieroglyphics, The Coup and Jurassic 5.

The album featured four singles, all of which were accompanied by music videos. The group's debut single, "Ya
Mama", originally released in 1991, was the song that landed the group their record deal, but it failed to reach any
Billboard singles chart. Their first major exposure came with the release of the album's second single, "Passing Me
By". The song became the group's biggest crossover hit and is now considered a classic Hip Hop single. The
album's third single, "4 Better or 4 Worse", was released in mid-1993 and featured the stoner song "Pack the Pipe"
and the throwback track "Return of the B-Boy" as its B-Side. The final single, the SlimKid solo track "Otha Fish",
    was released in late 1993.

The album was certified gold in 1996, and it's stature has only grown since with the release constantly appearing
on Best Of lists such as the 100 Best Rap albums by The Source, Top 100 Favorite Records of The 90s by Pitchfork
and Rolling Stone's Top 25 Hip Hop Albums as listed by Chris Rock.

    Ride Or Die

Debut full-length album from New York duo on Skrillex's OWSLA label.

While HEARTSREVOLUTION have worked with the likes of Just Blaze and released a string of Eps, singles, and mixtapes, they return to thrill us with their first LP of classic Rock & Rock dance gems. The 13 tracks that make up Ride or Die are a blend of bubble-gum pop sensibilities with Riot Grrrl ferocity that explores childlike innocence along with a visceral revolutionary spirit. Up-tempo tracks such as Ride or Die, Kill Your Radio and Vertigo show-off their punk spirit and sound as though they came out of a basement in Olympia as much as the streets on New York. Bedroom dance parties are bound to break out with Kishi Kaisei and KISS. Digital Suicide and Heart vs the Machine make light of their versatility and electro prowess while Final Destination features New York hip-hop mainstay Esso. And just when you think it's all fun and games, you'll find an unexpected masterpiece like Gen wh(Y). This song explores a level of intimacy and vulnerability that is rare, and is a call to arms as the band wears their heart on their sleeve and questions just about everything.

    Ride Or Die

Son of Greg Allman, Devon Allman's Ride Or Die is his third solo record for RUF Records. The album contains twelve soulful and powerful tracks that showcase Allman's maturity as a songwriter, a singer, and his continuous evolution into one of the top guitarists on the scene today. Co-produced along with Grammy-winning Tom Hambridge, Allman takes you on a journey through his own intimate back roads and personal highways. It's an emotional journey that takes you through the mountain highs and valley lows, while sheltered from the storms under melodic choruses, surrounded by verses rich with powerful messages throughout some of the deepest material that he has ever written and recorded. There is no doubt that his family's musical DNA has graced Devon Allman with that Allman Soul, but there is clearly no denying that he puts his personal stamp and his own style, of bending and twisting the blues, into his own Devon Allman brand.

    Take A Ride

Motor City legends Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels set unsurpassed standards for balls-out American white-boy R&B. Under the aegis of crack producer Bob Crewe, the Wheels shot to fame, propelled by Ryder's sweat-soaked soulful vocals, the piercing, mile-a-minute guitar sting of Jim McCarty, and the piledriver drum attack of Johnny Bee. Attacking rock and R&B with a startling, head-on frenzy, the group created a rock-n-soul dynasty still without equal.
