    Slip (Awaiting Repress)

Legendary NYC post-hardcore act Quicksand will be rereleasing a very special edition of their debut album, Slip via Shop Radio Cast. First official vinyl reissue of Quicksands major label debut ''Slip'' since its original pressing in 1993. Remastered and pressed on limited edition 180 Gram vinyl. Housed in a gatefold jacket and includes a Euro inner sleeve, never-before-seen photos, and a cover of The Smith's ''How Soon Is Now.''

Founded in 1990 by frontman Walter Schreifels, Quicksand rose to notoriety in the '90s, with many dubbing the band a key pioneer in New York City's post-hardcore scene. Along with a sophomore release, Slip launched the band on a series of North American and European tours in the '90s alongside the likes of Rage Against The Machine, Anthrax, and more. The band would eventually disband in 1999, but recently reunited for a one-night-only gig in June, 2012.

Does This Look Infected? (Awaiting Repress)

Sum 41 album three, Does This Look Infected?, is much like Sum 41 album two, which was much like their lesser-known indie debut, Half Hour of Power. Which means, Does This Look Infected? sounds much like the work of Blink-182's snottier kid brothers, who are just in it for good times. Frankly, it's kind of a relief to be spared both the smutty double entendres and the self-pity, and while they still rely too much on processed guitar distortion and have sparkling productions, Sum 41 makes up for that cleanliness with vigorous performances and simple, catchy hooks. It's pretty fun, particularly since the whole affair is blissfully short at a few minutes over a half-hour, giving it a nice, punchy effect. (Allmusic)

    Saosin

Saosin is the debut album by post-hardcore band Saosin. Includes a matte finish with spot UV gatefold jacket and full color inner sleeve.

The long wait is over. California's Saosin issued their debut EP Translating the Name in 2003. They already had a well-developed fan base for their unique, even enigmatic brand of post-hardcore screamo. The band, having undergone some personnel changes -- most notably singer Anthony Green's departure in 2004 and the enlisting of Cove Reber as his replacement -- also underwent a sonic change on their self-titled 2005 EP. That primer was a guidebook to the band's new sound. Their Capitol debut, produced by Howard Benson, who also plays keyboards and does minimal programming, is a much slicker and far more imaginative outing than the band's underground fans may appreciate. That's not to say it's not impressive. It is. Quite so. This quintet are fine songwriters, excellent musicians, and have actually taken their post-underground hardcore beginnings and turned them into something that may indeed further rock music itself. This is not an idle claim. The songs on this album are tight, finished, and full of unexpected twists and turns, varied dynamics, fine lyrics, and, most of all, they're surprising. The hard twin-guitar sound at the front drives a rhythm section that is always in the pocket. Justin Shekoski and Beau Burchell work symbiotically with one another. They twin riffs and single lines without ever devolving into guitar heroics. They play as a unit. Reber's beautiful high-pitched voice walks the line but never resorts to screaming, because he doesn't have to: his instrument is powerful enough to ride the top of the musical swirl. The rhythm section carries the cradle of all this innovation, never slipping or abandoning these songs to mere workmanship. Check the killer counterpoint leads on Follow and Feel, and how drummer Alex Rodriguez takes the beat to the band inside the tune. When Reber enters with Don't let them know you're watching their situation crumble... his lyric is one of dislocation and the futile attempt to understand distance and dissolution. The killer, all-out rock riff in It's So Simple is beguiling as the song's dynamics and pace change three times inside of four minutes. That's the other beauty of this record; all but one track are under four minutes. The album flows from top to bottom; songs bleed into one another yet keep their distinctive identities. It's a strange comparison, but Saosin are as unique in their way as U2 were in their right from the beginning. Though they are seasoned road warriors, it's no mean achievement that a debut album carrying so much weight seemingly so effortlessly, is so utterly sophisticated and complete . Sure, Capitol will try to make them the next big thing, and maybe they should -- when's the last time you heard anything really new in rock music? Bury Your Head is the only track here that is a carry-over from Saosin's EP. Its woven textures, explosive singing, knotty basslines, and call and response vocals are chilling and utterly effective. Saosin walk that line between metal, indie rock, post-hardcore, and many other things. But that tautness is what gives their songs such power and ruddy grace. The album may garner the charges of sell-out from the underground, but musicians grow. In a relatively short time, Saosin has evolved into a smart, utterly talented and perhaps even visionary unit that is rewriting the book in the 21st century. They have delivered a debut album that is mature, truly original, that can garner the attention of those kids -- and hopefully, older adults who still care about rock -- from almost any side of the rock & roll spectrum. - Allmusic.com

Silverchair's debut album, Frogstomp, faithfully follows the alternative rock tradition of Nirvana and Pearl Jam, which means that the group of Australian teenagers winds up sounding not like their idols, but like Stone Temple Pilots and Bush. For their age, their instrumental capabilities are quite impressive, as the guitars and vocals growl with the force of rockers in their early 20s.

In 2001 Rival Schools released there debut album United By Fate, which was met by praises from critics and fans. The group spent the next two years touring the world a few times over. Feeling some fatigue from the road, guitarist Ian Love decided to part ways and pursue solo endeavors. The group then recruited long time friend and musician Chris Traynor, (Orange 9mm/Helmet) and they spent a year writing and recording material in a few different studios around NYC. This body of work has since been leaked on the Internet in bits and pieces, with various made up song titles. These recordings have taken on a certain mystique among diehard fans and will finally see an official release. Titled Found, the eleven songs (including a Buzzcocks cover) have been re-mastered and will be available digitally as well as in a limited run of 180 gram vinyl on April 9, 2013. The cover is a photo from one of the studios in Brooklyn that the band was working out of. In 2011, Rival Schools released Pedals, they spent the next few years touring the world, and have been working on new material for an upcoming release.

Far's second album, Water & Solutions, finds the Sacramento-based alternative metal band coming into their own, creating a distinctive fusion of the sober, grinding guitars of Helmet and Tool. Occasionally, vocalist Jonah Sonz Matranga oversings, and the band often concentrates on sonics at the expense of songs, but the best moments of Water & Solutions show that Far have carved out their own alterna-metal niche. It may not be as distinctive as the Deftones, but it has its own appeal.

Stones, Hendrix, and Tom Petty to legendary indie-rockers like Weezer, the Pixies, Dinosaur Jr.. Pavement, Superchunk, and Spoon to even left-of-center rap acts like A Tribe Called Quest, it's a record that ventures far beyond the clich'd constraints of the emo pigeonhole in which Piebald are so often mistakenly placed (note the jaunty piano romp Part Of Your Body Is Made Out Of Rock, the dream-rock sea-shanty All Senses Lost, or the twee, Shins-like powerpop of Giving Cup). Says Travis of Piebald's all-encompassing musical styles, We don't really feel we're an emo band; we're really more just like hippies that use distortion! Most of the time we're put in a category with emo bands, but we don't really hear the real connection. So we don't like that we're called that ' but then again, we don't really like that any band is called that.

Although All Ears was produced by Paul Q. Kolderie (Cave-In, Dinosaur Jr., fireHOSE, Hole, Pixies, Radiohead), Piebald were admittedly still worried about whether they could top their previous landmark effort, We Are The Only Friends We Have. You always want to like your new record more and feel that it's better than your last one, otherwise you wouldn't want to put it out, says Travis. But Paul was really excited about the new songs, and all the people at the studio were excited, and it felt like we were on the right track, even though we didn't know for sure. And in the end, I think we at least did comparably musically. You still get what you need from a Piebald record. It's different, but you still get sufficiently rocked.

    Dumb & Dumber Soundtrack

Dumb and Dumber is a surprisingly entertaining hodgepodge of alternative rock (Echobelly, Primatives), mainstream pop, and novelties (Deadeye Dick's ''New Age Girl'') that is considerably smarter than the movie it supports.

Dumb and Dumber is a 1994 American road-buddy comedy film starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. It was written and directed by the Farrelly brothers, and is their directorial debut. The film tells the story of Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, two good-natured but dimwitted friends from Providence, Rhode Island who set out on a cross-country trip to Aspen, Colorado to return a briefcase full of money to its owner, only to be pursued by a group of criminals who are after the briefcase.

Say Hello to Sunshine is the second studio album by American rock band Finch, released on June 7, 2005. This album signaled a sharp departure from the band's last release, What It Is to Burn. We Don't Need To Whisper

Limited Edition 180-Gram Clear With Purple Haze Vinyl

With their 2006 debut album, We Don't Need To Whisper, Angels And Airwaves (AVA for short) strikes a blow for hope in dark times. ''The overall message on every AVA song,'' Tom DeLonge (guitarist/vocalist of Blink-182) told Kerrang! Magazine, ''is that tomorrow could be the best day of your life.''

Teaming up with Tom are his Box Car Racer colleague, guitarist David Kennedy, former Offspring drummer Atom Willard and one-time Distillers bassist Ryan Sinn. Tom emphasizes that AVA is no side project like Box Car Racer, nor a thinly-disguised solo vehicle. AVA is, first and foremost, a band. ''All of us have massive input, he adds. ''It's a collaborative effort.'' The four gathered at Tom's studio, Never Pants Ranch, to record the album with Tom producing.

''It's taken me 12 years to learn how to write an album like this,'' Tom told Alternative Press. ''It's taken 20 million records sold and arenas sold out across the world with Blink-182 to learn how music affects people, how it should be presented live and how to keep people interested (while taking) them on a journey. I feel this is some of the best music I've ever made.''

We Don't Need to Whisper peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and has since sold nearly 800,000 copies.

    Clerks (20th Anniversary Soundtrack)

Clear With Black Smoke (Limited To 1500)

Available On Vinyl For The First Time

Mastered For Vinyl And Lacquers Created By Stan Ricker

Gatefold Jacket And D Side Etching

To celebrate Clerks 20th anniversary the soundtrack will be pressed to vinyl for the first time ever! Clerks is the 1994 soundtrack album to the film of the same name. The original soundtrack's mix of dialogue from the movie (''I'm not even supposed to be here today!'') and tunes by some of the leading groups of the alternative era will now play out across three sides of two LPs - the final side will contain an etching. The soundtrack features songs by Alice in Chains, Girls Against Boys, the Jesus Lizard, Bad Religion, Soul Asylum, Corrosion of Conformity, Stabbing Westward and more. It also features songs by Love Among Freaks, friends of Smith's who visit the convenience store in the movie and who scored the original soundtrack for the movie.

Famously, the cost of licensing the songs on the soundtrack cost more than the film cost to make. The movie helped make Alice in Chains' 1992 Sap EP tune ''Got Me Wrong'' a hit, and the Kevin Smith-directed clip for Soul Asylum's ''Can't Even Tell,'' which closes out the movie, propelled it to Number 16 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the motion picture Forrest Gump, we're proud to announce the first ever North American vinyl pressing of the soundtrack. All 32-tracks have been placed across three records to ensure maximum audio-fidelity, in addition to vinyl mastering and lacquers by Kevin Gray, and plating at RTI. The album will be available on 180 Gram ''All American'' Red, White and Blue vinyl LPs, pressed at United Record Pressing in the USA. First pressings will be hand-numbered and limited.

The 32-song soundtrack from the film was originally released on July 6, 1994. The soundtrack includes songs from Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Aretha Franklin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Three Dog Night, The Byrds, The Doors, The Mamas & the Papas, The Doobie Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Seger, and Buffalo Springfield, among others. Music producer Joel Sill reflected on compiling the soundtrack: ''We wanted to have very recognizable material that would pinpoint time periods, yet we didn't want to interfere with what was happening cinematically.'' The two-disc album has a variety of music from the 1950s-1980s performed by American artists. According to Sill, this was due to Zemeckis' request, ''All the material in there is American. Bob (Zemeckis) felt strongly about it. He felt that Forrest wouldn't buy anything but American.''

Forrest Gump: The Soundtrack is one of the most successful movie soundtrack albums of all time. The album - like the film - instantly captured the heart of America, going into the top 10 of Billboard's Pop Album chart and shipping over 1 million units in its first few weeks of release. This timeless double album of American Classics has since been certified DIAMOND - selling over 6 million copies.

''The movie Forrest Gump is about time. A simple man's journey through complicated times. The coming-of-age of a generation and a country. And at the heart of the story is the music. Music that lives with us, always there to remind us of the people, the places, and the events of our time.'' - Robert Zemeckis & Eric Roth

    Death To False Metal

Pressed On 180 Gram Black Audiophile Vinyl At RTI

Gatefold Jacket With A Matte Finish

    11 X 22 Matte Insert

    Limited And Hand Numbered

Death To False Metal is not a traditional collection of studio leftovers or songs from the vault, but a wholly original follow-up to Weezer's just-released Hurley. The album was created using the basic tracks of 10 previously unreleased recordings-nine never-before-heard songs plus one cover-to assemble a brand new and truly modern-sounding record. The result is an evolution for the band, a giant step forward with a nod to the past.

''These were great songs, great recordings, but for some reason they didn't make the final cut for previous records,'' Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo stated. ''Some just weren't right for the albums we were recording at the time-just a bit ahead of their time or too 'rock.' Now, the time is right to introduce them. Together, they are the album that should logically follow Hurley.''

Featuring tracks the band originally began recording from the late '90s to late '00s, Death To False Metal was a labor of love for Cuomo and his co-producer Shawn Everett, as well as the entire band. Each track was individually evaluated by the production team of Cuomo and Everett to figure out how to make each of the songs reach their full potential, and ultimately fit harmoniously on the album. After that process, they then brought in each band member in to complete the parts needed. Some of the ten songs received a major overhaul, while others got the equivalent of a sonic tune-up.

''Turning Up The Radio'' is the result of Cuomo's 2008 collaborative YouTube project, ''Let's Write A Sawng,'' for which he invited fans to submit ideas. As they went through the steps of composing a tune, eventually, 15 people became involved. This track is one of only two songs not solely penned by Weezer for Death To False Metal.

''Blowin' My Stack,'' ''Losing My Mind'' (which features some of the most raw and personal emotions in a Weezer song), ''I'm A Robot,'' and a rock cover of the massive R&B hit ''Un-Break My Heart'' were all first recorded prior to the release of 2005's Make Believe. ''I Don't Want Your Loving'' was originally laid down as a demo for 2002's Maladroit. The abrasive punk-metal ''Everyone'' hails from post-1998 Pinkerton period, as does the pop song ''Trampoline.'' The piano-based ''Odd Couple'' and new-wave-style ''Auto-Pilot'' were laid down prior to 2008's Weezer (aka ''The Red Album'').

The title Death To False Metal comes from a phrase that Cuomo and his younger brother used when they were kids. Musical integrity was a matter of life or death then, and now the new album is a reminder of how important music is for both Weezer and their many fans. At a time when many of their contemporaries seem to have forgotten how to rock, Weezer is ready to teach them. Cuomo and fellow axe-slinger Brian Bell crafted nine epic guitar solos-one for nearly every song on Death To False Metal-and with the band's signature hooks in full effect, Weezer's school of rock is back in session.

    180-Gram Colored Vinyl

Mastered For Vinyl And Lacquers Created By Stan Ricker

    Plated At RTI

    High Gloss Gatefold Jacket

    11 X 22 Insert

The Beautiful Letdown is the fourth studio album by alternative rock band Switchfoot. Originally released on February 25, 2003, it launched the band into the mainstream on the strength of two top 20 singles: ''Meant to Live'' and ''Dare You to Move.''

For a band who took their name from their beloved surfing hobby, Switchfoot are anything but posterboys for the slacker mindset. The San Diego quartet spent little time resting on the laurels of their Best Rock Gospel Album Grammy nomination for 2000's LEARNING TO BREATHE, opting for a tireless tour schedule instead. Their first offering with new label Red Ink finds the band further refining their pop-rock craft. Switchfoot's music makes no secret at making musical nods to their contemporaries, most notably Foo Fighters (''Ammunition''), Third Eye Blind (''Dare You To Move''), and Sugar Ray (''Gone''). With THE BEAUTIFUL LETDOWN, Switchfoot succeed at making a document reflecting on real life with a consistent undercurrent of hope and humility.

    Neon Ballroom

Mastered For Vinyl And Lacquers Created By Kevin Gray

    Plated At RTI

    Gatefold Jacket, 11 X 22 Insert

'Neon Ballroom is the third studio album by Australian alternative rock band Silverchair and was released on 8 March 1999. The album debuted at number-one on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified 4× platinum by ARIA. It genereated the singles ''Anthem for the Year 2000'', ''Ana's Song (Open Fire)'', ''Miss You Love'', and ''Paint Pastel Princess''.

Neon Ballroom was an overhaul of the band's musical style found on its first two albums, Frogstomp and Freak Show. ''Anthem for the Year 2000'', for example, retained much of the band's youthful rock energy but featured a new rock song structure and various electronic effects. Eight years after the album's release, Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns said: ''To me, I honestly feel like our first record was Neon Ballroom. I've never felt any different. I don't feel like our first two albums were Silverchair: that's our teenage high school band. I don't like them at all. I listen to them and go, 'That's cute', especially the first one, because Frogstomp we were 14. But the second one we're like 16, I'm like 'You're getting older. You're running out of chances'''.
