    Heart On My Sleeve

Before Mary Lambert achieved "quasi-stardom" (as she puts it in her typical self-deprecating way) for writing and singing the hook on Macklemore & Ryan
Lewis' marriage equality anthem "Same Love," the Seattle native was an aspiring singer-songwriter who also worked as a brunch waitress and bartender.
After years of struggling both financially and personally, Lambert suddenly found herself signed to Capitol Records, releasing an EP (Welcome To The
Age of My Body), nominated for two Grammy Awards (for "Song of the Year" and "Album of The Year"), and making history performing on the Grammy
telecast with Macklemore, Lewis, and Madonna, while Queen Latifah memorably married 33 couples. "I like to describe Heart On My Sleeve as a pop
album with a conscience," Lambert says about her debut full-length album. "So I made a list of goals" to: 1. Have fun. 2. Create something catchy. 3.
Create something that positively impacts the world. 4. Stay true to yourself. 5. Make money. "Is that okay to say?" she asks.

Written within the past year (with lyrics by Lambert and music co-written by Lambert, co-producers Eric Rosse and Benny Cassette, and songwriter
MoZella), Heart On My Sleeve is an honest depiction of where Lambert is now. "I can only write about the experiences I've had. I signed to a major label. I
went through a break-up. I figured out how to be an independent person. I have been terrifyingly honest to the public about traumatic events in my life. I
met the woman of my dreams. I have been on the road nonstop, away from those I love, but with the opportunity to sing about gay rights to hundreds of
thousands of people. This album is inspired by the depth of all of that love, and the journey that it takes to get there." "Heart On My Sleeve" is a dusky
love song that Lambert chose as the title track because she felt it summed up how she approached writing the lyrics on the album. "I've always lived my
life completely open, both to getting hurt, but also to love," she says. Lambert also spells out her mission on the album's first single, "Secrets," which - set
to a buoyant pop melody and hand-claps - is meant to encourage vulnerability.

The Beatles is the ninth official album by the English rock group The Beatles, a double album released in 1968. It is also commonly known as The White Album as it has no graphics or text other than the band's name embossed on its plain white sleeve.

The album was written and recorded during a period of turmoil for the group, after visiting the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India and having a particularly productive songwriting session in early 1968. Returning to the studio, the group recorded from May to October 1968, only to have conflict and dissent drive the group members apart. Ringo Starr quit the band for a brief time, leaving Paul McCartney to play drums on two tracks. Many of the songs were solo recordings, or at least by less than the full group, as each individual member began to explore his own talent.

Upon release in November 1968, the album received largely positive reviews and reached number 1 on the charts in the United Kingdom and the United States. The album is notable for the eclectic nature of its songs, which has divided critics in evaluating its legacy. The album has sold over 30 million copies worldwide and was listed at number 10 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list.

A team consisting of some of the best producers and engineers in the recording industry were brought together and would spend 4 long years mixing and mastering with some of the most state of the art recording equipment. Treating these records much like a science experiment, engineers ran extensive tests before copying the analog master tapes over into a digital format using 24-bit/192 kHz resolution, and carefully removing clicks, vocal pops and poor edits. Never altering the original songs themselves, just polishing them up a bit.

    The Rockin' Chair Album

Howlin' Wolf is the third studio album from Chicago blues singer/guitarist/harmonica player Howlin' Wolf. It is a collection of six singles previously released by the Chess label from 1960 through 1962. Because of the illustration on its sleeve, the album is often called The Rockin' Chair Album, which was eventually adopted on subsequent pressings.

The album has had quite some influence on later musicians. In 1966, fellow Chess artist Koko Taylor recorded a cover version of "Wang Dang Doodle" which reached #4 on the Billboard's R&B Charts and became a minor crossover hit. Earlier in 1963 Sam Cooke released a single of "Little Red Rooster" making #7 on the R&B Singles chart and #11 on the Hot 100. In 1969 the songs "Shake for Me" and "Back Door Man" were used in the lyrics to the Led Zeppelin song "Whole Lotta Love".

Elvis Aaron Presley was born during the Great Depression into a poor family in Mississippi. They moved to Memphis during the early fifties, and as a struggling young truck driver, he cut some demos at Sun Studios as a gift for his beloved mother Gladys. These initial songs, of which he had only paid a few dollars to record, would become the catalyst that would kick start the beginnings of a soon to be worldwide superstar unlike the world has ever known.

The folks at RCA Victor knew that this young fellow named Elvis was destined for superstardom. They quickly bought out his contract and signed the legend to a long-term deal, and his first RCA single Heartbreak Hotel forever etched "The King Of Rock And Roll" trademark to his name.

From the remainder of the 1950's, Elvis would release several more hit albums and number one singles, star in a couple of box office smash films, and prior to spending time in the Army, he recorded his fourth album and what would become one of the most memorable and best loved Christmas LP's of all time, Elvis' Christmas Album.

The 1957 album was a blockbuster as it topped the pop charts for a month, making this one of the biggest albums of his career ultimately selling over 13 Million Units and his first Diamond Award Winning RIAA certified recording. Elvis' Christmas Album truly proved once again that his career was unlike any other in music history.

This holiday classic takes off with the rockin' Santa Claus Is Back In Town and followed by the soulful groove of White Christmas. More Elvis favorites follow with his brilliant interpretation of the melancholy ballad I'll Be Home For Christmas and the blues rocker number one single smash Blue Christmas.

The album also features a nice helping of gospel standards which Elvis made his own with favorites like (There'll Be) Peace In The Valley and It Is No Secret (What God Can Do) , the timeless Silent Night , and of course the heartfelt O Little Town Of Bethlehem . In total, the album showcases twelve important Elvis Presley recordings which have truly gone on to become definitive classics by any measure of popular music.

Featuring Songs Compiled and Sequenced by Zach Cowie from Woody Guthrie, Nina Simone, Kermit The Frog, Carole King and many more!

Includes Original Storybook with Illustrations by Artist Jess Rotter

What if your favorite children s book were not only a timeless story but came with a soundtrack of tunes that kids and grown-ups alike would love? Hold onto your boots... it s here! This Record Belongs To: is the antidote to your standard kids compilations. You won t find boy bands, princesses, or purple dinosaurs here. Instead the record consists of two halves an upbeat side for daytime dancin and a mellow side for bedtime lullabies. Among the many gems featured include songs from Carole King, Woody Guthrie, Donovan, Harry Nilsson, Jerry Garcia, Nina Simone, Kermit The Frog and more. Inspired by the classic Little Golden Books Series and Sesame Street s In Harmony albums, This Record Belongs To: stems from a love of music, reading, and a passion for teaching future generations the interactive experience of holding an album in your hands, putting needle to groove, and immersing yourself in the pages of a record s sleeve as the music plays. The compilation was compiled and sequenced by DJ and friend, Zach Cowie, who is as dear to our hearts as this collection of songs (previously passed around as a gift between friends) and is the soundtrack for many LITA & TMR offspring. These kiddos now all have undeniably excellent taste in tunes. The record is accompanied by an original, full-color storybook illustrated by acclaimed artist, Jess Rotter, which tells the tale of five forest pals who find a mysterious object a round, flat disc that they proceed to investigate. The animal friends finally solve the mystery and learn how to play a record and let their bodies move to the groove (within the grooves).

Vocalist Damo Suzuki's departure from CAN in 1973 had forced the band to re-evaluate their sound. Now with Michael Karoli and Irmin Schmidt sharing
vocal duties, the band had also begun drawing on influences from disco and glam. While still remaining staunchly outside the mainstream, they
undoubtedly became more accessible to a wider audience, and soon had a huge fan base in the UK. In fact, just a few months after playing the live
show found on this double LP (recorded in Lyon in January of 1976), CAN was even on Top Of The Pops!

From the remainder of the 1960's into the late 1970's, Elvis Presley would release many more hit albums, smash singles and movies
before his untimely passing in 1977. Ever proving that he was indeed on top of his game, RCA Victor awarded their superstar artist and his fans
with the King's fifth greatest hits collection Elvis' Gold Records Volume 5.

Featuring a treasure trove of his most familiar top charting hit singles Elvis' Gold Records Volume 5 went on to achieve gold status and

The Elvis Presley/Friday Music 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl Series Continues!

Celebrate The 55th Anniversary Of 50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong!

First Time Audiophile Vinyl & Gatefold Cover Presentation!!!

Mastered Impeccably By Joe Reagoso And Manufactured At R.T.I.

Elvis Aaron Presley was born during the Great Depression into a poor family in Mississippi. They moved to Memphis during the early fifties, and
as a struggling young truck driver, Elvis cut some demos as a gift for his beloved mother Gladys. These initial songs, of which he had only paid a few
dollars to record, would become the catalyst that would kick-start the beginnings of a soon to be worldwide superstar unlike the world has ever known.

The folks at RCA Victor knew that this young fellow named Elvis was destined for superstardom. They quickly signed the legend to a long-term
deal, and his first RCA single Heartbreak Hotel forever etched "The King Of Rock And Roll" trademark to his name. He would eventually become the
most successful solo artist of all time!

For the remainder of the 1950's, Elvis Presley would release several more hit albums, smash singles and movies before spending time in the
Army. Ever proving that he was indeed on top of his game, RCA Victor awarded their superstar artist and his fans with the King's second greatest hits
collection Elvis' Gold Records Volume 2, also known as 50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong.

Featuring a treasure trove of his most familiar top charting hit singles Elvis' Gold Records Volume 2 went on to become one of his most
memorable titles in his huge arsenal of masterful rock and roll albums, as well as one of the most copied album covers of all time.

Thanks to his finest rock smashes like Wear My Ring Around Your Neck, A Fool Such As I, I Got Stung and A Big Hunk O' Love, this collection of
Elvis Presley's biggest hits were just what the fans were screaming for, and the entire album was built around the framework of his rocking trademark
sound. The 1959 album also was another blockbuster for The King as it topped the upper rungs of the pop charts, making this one of his biggest
albums of his career as well as one of his most revered. Elvis' Gold Records Volume 2 truly proved once again that his career was unlike any other in
    music history.

Elvis' Gold Records Volume 2 also included some of his finest ballads like Don't, My Wish Came True and the soulful Doncha' Think It's Time,
plus more top rock and roll hits like I Need Your Love Tonight, and I Beg of You. In total, the album showcases ten important Elvis Presley hit recordings
which have truly gone on to become definitive classics by any measure of popular music.

Rory Scovel - Live At Third Man Records

Live in the Blue Room 6/22/13

A few months back we hosted one of our favorite comedians in the Third Man Blue Room, hand selected by Jack White to appear Rory Scovel came, saw and destroyed any and all bad vibes within a 5 mile radius with an improv set of some of the best live stand up we've seen in years. Seriously, the man far exceeded even our lofty expectations for hilarity. Since then Rory has had a bumper few months, appearing on Conan O' Brian in a tuxedo performing uber-classy comedy with live LIberace-style piano accompaniment, co-starring on new TBS comedy Ground Floor and generally ruling the school and jettisoning jocularity into the universe in every town and festival he visits on tour.

The sleeves and labels feature the track list all in braille. That's right. Braille. Trust us, it'll all make sense when you hear the album. It's another meta-comedy first from Third Man Records and Rory Scovel!

    Weezer (Green Album) (On Sale)

Weezer (Green Album) on Numbered Limited Edition 180 Gram LP from Mobile Fidelity

Concise, Tightly Played 2001 Power-Pop Album Features Back-to-Basics Approach

Weezer's Fastest-Selling Release Includes "Hash Pipe," "Island in the Sun," "Don't Let Go"

Record Launched One of Most Memorable Return-from-the-Dead Comebacks in History

Mastered from the Original Master Tapes: Smooth, Big-Guitar Sound Resonates Like Never Before

Weezer's self-titled third album, collectively known as the Green Album, nearly never came to pass. The band had all but broken apart, with leader Rivers Cuomo choosing to go back to college and the other members dismayed at the initial reception to 1996's Pinkerton. Persuaded at the turn of the century to return to the concert stage, the foursome launched one of the most enduring comeback stories in history, and in the process, penned 75 songs, the choicest of which grace 2001's concise, tightly played Green Album.

Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed on 180 gram LP at RTI, Mobile Fidelity's reissue presents the music with by far the most dynamic range it's ever enjoyed. Cars icon Ric Ocasek's production comes into fuller relief, with guitar notes ringing with front-to-back depth and superb imaging. Cuomo's singing gains focus and clarity, and the rhythms that help give the tunes their incessant catchiness are better defined, with the low end finally present.

That nearly everything on Green Album-from the cover to the producer to sonics-reflects those of Weezer's blockbuster debut isn't merely coincidence. The quartet, not yet realizing that Pinkerton had already become a cult classic (and, soon after, would be hailed as one of the most prized albums of its generation), intentionally pursued a back-to-basics approach that echoed its roots. Unadorned simplicity, skyscraper-sized hooks, and short-but-sweet arrangements are the hallmarks here, each a signpost on how rock albums can work their way into a listener's head and provide limitless satisfaction.

Of course, however crucial, the music is just one component in Weezer's arsenal. Akin to its sibling efforts, Green Album wouldn't be the same devoid of Cuomo's lyrics, which exude charming personality and boyish awkwardness. Absent is the heart-on-a-sleeve obviousness of the fare of Pinkerton. The material here echoes with a related emotional universality whereby romantic yearning, fear of rejection, and getaway fantasies spark with the winking promise of enthusiasm and attainment. There's a reason every passage remains so accessible; playfulness and wryness abound. Power-pop efforts don't come more perfect.

    Cela

Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere. - Carl Sagan

Sagan Youth have traveled many light-years and have many more to go...The duo's second full-length release Cela is a 10-song science-fiction concept album chronicling the journey to and exploration of Saturn's icy moon Enceladus. The story is portrayed not only through vividly emotive tracks but also by an intricate comic which graces the inside of the album's gatefold sleeve. Cela was laboriously recorded using only analog synthesizers, effects, and tape units, creating a complex tapestry of organically evolving overtones. Drawing upon the rich history of electronic music, from mid-20th century avant-garde to hypnotic Komische, Sagan Youth create idiosyncratic electronic expressions. They fluidly modulate between different soundscapes and emotional timbres, but always with underlying themes of compassionate questioning, open-mindedness, and an awe of Nature.

    Solid Air (Half-Speed Master)

HALF-SPEED MASTER : 2016 reissue of 1973 album, mastered at Abbey Road Studios from the original tapes & pressed on 180-gram audiophile quality vinyl!

Unlike previous re-issues the album has been cut at half-speed at Abbey Road Studios. This technique results in the very highest quality sound reproduction.

The process involves the original 1/4 inch studio master tape being played back at precisely half its recorded speed while the cutting lathe is similarly turned at half the desired playback speed. This allows the cutting head twice the time to cut the intricate groove, affording considerably more accuracy with important matters such as frequency extremes and micro-dynamic contrasts. The resulting cuts have excellent high frequency response and very solid and stable stereo images.

The superb vinyl is accompanied by a high quality reproduction of the original gatefold album sleeve.

Recorded at Sound Techniques Studio in Chelsea during 1972, John Martyn's seminal album Solid Air was released in February 1973.

Emotionally intense and hauntingly beautiful Solid Air encapsulates almost every musical genre with ease and accomplishment. The songs are exquisitely crafted fusions of blues, country, folk, jazz and rock, with dazzling guitar, musicianship and outstanding vocals.

Brecker's fourth album as a leader was recorded at the Power Station in New York City and was originally released in 1996 on CD only.

Michael Brecker, a major influence on today's young saxophonists, shows off his own influences a bit throughout this fine modern straight-ahead set. Brecker sounds surprisingly like Stanley Turrentine on parts of Midnight Voyage, and otherwise displays his roots in Ernie Watts and John Coltrane. With the exception of Don Grolnick's Willie T., the music on the CD is comprised of group originals (five by the leader) and falls into the 1990s mainstream of jazz. While the tenor saxophonist has plenty of blowing space (really letting loose on the exciting closer, Cabin Fever), Pat Metheny is mostly pretty restrained (in a Jim Hall bag) except for his wild solo on guitar synth during Song for Bilbao. Pianist Joey Calderazzo starts out sounding a bit like McCoy Tyner on Slings and Arrows before his own musical personality is revealed. When Tyner himself plays on Song for Bilbao (one of two guest appearances), one can certainly tell the difference between master and pupil. All of Michael Brecker's recordings as a leader (as opposed to his cameos as a sideman on pop records) are easily recommended and show why he is considered a giant by many listeners.

    Fleetwood Mac Greatest Hits

    Remastered

Music On Vinyl re-release the famous 'red sleeve' Fleetwood Mac Greatest Hits album. This record was a stalwart of every decent album collection in the early 1970's as it represented the first greatest hits package from Fleetwood Mac, covering the period from the band's beginning in 1968 through to 1971.

Fleetwood Mac in their original incarnation were led by guitarist Peter Green and were leaders of the second British Blues boom of the late 1960s. Fleetwood Mac enjoyed several hit singles in the United Kingdom at that time and these are collated here for this album, originally issued on CBS Records only in the U.K.

'Albatross' was a huge chart hit in the UK whilst the single 'Black Magic Woman' helped to break Fleetwood Mac in the U.S.A via a cover version by Santana, who placed their version in the Billboard Top 40.

The album gatefold shows a full-size photo of the post-Green line up of the band with Christine McVie (nÉe Perfect), even though she just plays piano on a couple tracks and wasn't a full-fledged member until after Kiln House was released.
