    Entry-level audiophile belt-driven turntable with pre-adjusted 8.6 aluminum tonearm and mass-loaded plinth

Pro-Ject has decided to go after the cheap plastic turntable market with an high quality alternative that comes complete with an Ortofon cartridge. The new Elemental table is a real plug'n'play all the way. No adjustment of counterweight and anti-skating is needed, because both are pre-adjusted. This new straight ultra low mass tonearm is optimized for Ortofon OM cartridge series. All the buyer needs to do is remove it from the box, remove bearing guard, locate the belt around the platter, remove stylus guard and plug it in.
The only plastic here is the stylus guard!

The hidden secret to the new table's sonic success, is a central gravity mass point, made from artificial stone and placed directly underneath the platter bearing. It is capable to fully absorb unwanted rumble and motor vibration. This turntable appears to be pure simplicity itself, while maintaining high quality audio standards.

    Plastic Ono Band

John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band is the debut studio album by English rock musician John Lennon. It was released in 1970, after Lennon had issued three experimental albums with Yoko Ono..John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band is generally considered one of Lennon's finest solo albums, documenting with honesty and artistic integrity his emotional and mental state at that point in his career. In 2012, the Rolling Stone ranked it number 23 on its list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

    Plastic Beach

We rejoin the band as Murdoc the bass player is gathering musicians and collaborators to create the new album. The new Gorillaz empire is set on a strange floating island deep in the South Pacific at the furthest point from any land mass on the planet. Introducing Plastic Beach, an island made entirely of plastic, debris and the washed up remnants of humanity. Amongst the collection of historical remains and discarded rubble, Murdoc finds a book detailing the history of Man right up to the present day, except the last chapter The End of Days has been torn out, the future is missing. Time to get the band together, finish this album and have fun while the sun still shines. To complete the task, Murdoc has assembled some other musicians to join the band at Plastic Beach, these select people would join him on his floating Hellfire Club, as musicians, players and contributors in this wonky, damaged Plastic opera. Mos Def, Bobby Womack, The Horrors, Lou Reed, Little Dragon, rappers Kano and Bashy, Mark. E. Smith, Syrian orchestras, global musicians and more were subpoena-ed to collaborate on this visionary Gorillaz record.

    Plastic Letters

Plastic Letters was the second and final Blondie album to be produced by Richard Gottehrer. Denis, a cover of the Randy & the Rainbows' 1963 hit Denise, was a hit all over Europe, reaching #2 in March 1978 in the United Kingdom, and was also a hit in Australia, reaching #19. (I'm Always Touched by Your) Presence, Dear was the second single from the album, reaching #10 in the UK in May 1978. The song was written by the band's original bass guitar player Gary Valentine, shortly before he left for a solo career prior to the album being recorded (which necessitated Chris Stein playing bass as well as guitar). In fact, during recording, Blondie were still at their old label, Private Stock Records. The album peaked at #10 in the UK and has been certified Platinum by the BPI.

    Plastic Ono Band

Remastered From The Original Tapes By Sean Lennon

This long-overdue vinyl reissue of Yoko Ono's seminal, but massively under-appreciated Plastic Ono Band has all the makings of a classic rock nostalgia trip: Ono, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Klaus Voorman and free-jazz legend Ornette Coleman. All the pieces are here to stir up a dangerous amount of nostalgia. But once the needle drops, the record achieves something exactly perpendicular to nostalgia.

Released in 1971, the album not only influenced the approach of other musicians for decades, it also sounds absolutely modern 44 years out, eternally fresh despite the forward march of time. Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band not only predicted the intersection of the avant-garde and rock that would take place in the second half of that decade, the album would sound right at home at where that intersection is happening today.

    Subliminal Plastic Motives

Self's debut album is an impressive home-brewed amalgamation of crunchy post-grunge guitars, unusual samples, and cotton candy pop vocals. Imagine Nirvana's chord progressions overlaid with Jellyfish-type vocal harmonies, all processed through Beck's idiosyncratic, sample-based production aesthetic, and you've got an idea of what you're in for. The core of Self is Matt Mahaffey, a self-contained singer/songwriter/instrumentalist/producer who obviously has a voracious appetite for many styles of music including power pop, hip-hop, even jazz. The results are surprisingly coherent and thoroughly enjoyable on Subliminal Plastic Motives, an overlooked album.

    Plastic Surgery Disasters

Remastered And Available In A Deluxe Gatefold Sleeve

Having proved themselves masters of the quick, vicious smash and bash, on their second full-length album the Kennedys continued in that vein while finding other effective ways to express their all-encompassing message of resistance and satire. Absolutely nobody is safe, whether it's the more expected targets of conservative society, or those who claim to follow what the Kennedys and punk promised but only ended up acting like idiots. For the most part, though, it's a well-deserved smackdown of all the jerks the early '80s produced, set to some fantastic music.

Bookended by random noise jams -- the first one with a wonderfully dismissive spoken-word analysis on societal programming for The Good Life -- Plastic Surgery Disasters shows East Bay Ray, Klaus Fluoride and D.H. Peligro turning into an even more awesome unit than before. Ray's sheet-metal intense guitar may once or twice get slammed into too much treble for its own good, but his spaghetti-western-cranked-to-ten playing is fantastic stuff at its best. The others have their moments, like Peligro's rolling drum breaks on Trust Your Mechanic. When the band aims for subtlety, the results are grand -- the sudden silences on Trust Your Mechanic, the goofy hipswing start to Forest Fire. Unsurprisingly, Biafra is still at the center of it all; once again, the song titles make it clear what's at play. Terminal Preppie, rips into an example of the type with gusto, and the wonderfully sneering Winnebago Warrior is just the tip of the iceberg. The real highlight can be found at the end -- Moon Over Marin, with a soaring, anthemic surf-rock line from Ray offsetting Biafra's semi-apocalyptic vision of the Bay Area's snooty region.

The Wayward Bus / Distant Plastic Trees

The Magnetic Fields' first two albums, The Wayward Bus and Distant Plastic Trees, make their debut appearance here on vinyl, packaged together as a two-LP set.

Distant Plastic Trees was originally released in England and Japan in 1991. The album includes the early-'90s college radio single "100,000 Fireflies" which had earlier appeared as a single on Harriet Records and was later covered by Superchunk.

For its domestic debut, Distant Plastic Trees was paired with the Magnetic Fields' 1992 album The Wayward Bus on a single CD that came out on the band's own PoPuP Records imprint before its re-release on Merge in 1994. While both albums feature singer Susan Anway (formerly of early-'80s Boston punk band V;), the latter introduced several new players who would subsequently make regular appearances on Merritt's various musical projects. "With the 1991 debut album Distant Plastic Trees, the Magnetic Fields' composer and frontman Stephin Merritt introduced the first incarnation of the Magnetic Fields. On this album, deadpan vocalist Susan Anway sings lyrics of heartbreak and surrealism over a bed of inscrutable instruments played and programmed by Merritt," Handler explains. "The second album, The Wayward Bus, adds cellist Sam Davol, tuba player Johny Blood and percussionist Claudia Gonson to create a plinky, orchestral sound in tribute to pop producer Phil Spector and his 'Wall of Sound.'"

The album artwork on both Distant Plastic Trees and The Wayward Bus was created by watercolorist Wendy Smith, who had also painted album covers for the Rough Trade band Weekend (a musical project from members of Young Marble Giants). Her beautiful wrap-around paintings, now printed in a larger format, along with remastered audio make this two-LP set an exciting addition to the Magnetic Fields discography

Part art piece, part punk, part metal: The controversial Plasmatics broke taboos and blew the lid off what critics and audiences alike knew as punk music.

Incorporating theatrics, barking vocals and a focus on end-of-the-world visions, 1980's New Hope For the Wretched is a technically solid punk record from a groundbreaking band.

Drastic Plastic Records is pleased to present our superb repressing of Plasmatics' first album in all its chainsaw-guitar-solo glory, along with a poster and insert, recreated from its original release.

Preston 28 February 1980 was recorded live at The Warehouse in Preston, England. The set was wrought with system failures: amps failed, instruments went in and out of key, at one point Ian Curtis exclaimed, ''I think everything is falling apart!'' Somehow, despite all of this, the band carried out an extraordinary performance. The roughness of the bass and the waning amps only add to the intensity and gloom, creating a performance that is just as haunting as it is unforgettable. Drastic Plastic Records is honored to have worked closely with Joy Division's management in order to present this seminal live recording in this beautiful, superbly mastered vinyl pressing, the only vinyl release currently available of this title to be officially sanctioned.

    Being There

This is the first full length release from Clear Plastic Masks at Serpents & Snakes Records. Recorded by Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes, Natural Child) at
Bomb Shelter Studios in Nashville, TN. Clear Plastic Masks have channeled their blue-collar roots into the band's work ethic, constantly writing, recording,
touring, and earning new fans in each city they visit, winning them over through soul-shaking, sweat-soaked live shows and pure charm. Though their
sound isn't easily defined, the allure is the sincerity of a working class band that is honest, genuine, and transparent. Give their record a few spins and
what initially appears on the surface quickly gives way to a deep well of both musical influence and songwriting straight from-the-gut. This is the sound of
    Clear Plastic Masks.
