Motörhead is the self-titled debut studio album by Motörhead, originally released on 21 August 1977, on Chiswick Records, one of the first for the label. It is considered the band's first album, as the recordings they did with United Artists were shelved until 1979, when the band had some commercial success after their next two albums. This would be the first album with the 'classic' line up of Kilmister, Clarke, Taylor. The artwork featured on this picture disc, War-Pig, is the fanged face that would become an internationally recognized icon of the band.

    Float (Picture Disc)

Drawing on the hardships and joys of their own lives and a musical history ranging from old world Celtic to modern day punk rock, the seven members of Flogging Molly have developed a charm and an ease over the years that makes them one of the most accessible bands performing today.

More mature yet retaining the immediacy that marks all of their work, the band's new album Float may find the widest audience acceptance of any Flogging Molly album to date. Hard charging tunes ôPaddyÆs Lamentö and ôYou WonÆt Make a Fool Out of Meö give way, as listeners have come to expect, to more sober ruminations on tracks like ôFloat.ö The overall effect is a symphonic layering of sound that possesses a unique rhythmic flow from boisterous to bereaved and back again. Long time fans and new discoverers will be equally astounded.

Motörhead's first live album, recorded in early 1978 at The Roundhouse, less than a year after the release of their groundbreaking, self-titled debut. This is vintage, 'take-no-prisoners' Motörhead, and the band (playing a mix of originals and a few speedfreak versions of early R&B, country and British blues songs) is a fast and furious machine. Mastodon have one hell of a career to live up to. Speaking of pressure to meet fan expectations, there's arguably no metal act assumed to deliver brilliance on a regular basis like Mastodon." - Loudwire

Mastodon is a multi-Grammy nominated hard rock juggernaut. From public endorsements of peers as diverse as Metallica, Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stone Age, CeeLo Green, and Feist to unanimous praise from the likes of Time and Rolling Stone, the band has accrued a staggering string of accolades. Their latest, Grammy-nominated album, Once More 'Round The Sun debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard chart-displacing their 2011 album, Hunter, as their highest U.S. chart debut ever.

Originally formed in late 1994 by singers/guitarists/drummers Conrad Keely and Jason Reece, ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead has evolved into a six piece collective rounded out by guitarist/singer Kevin Allen, pianist/singer Clay Morris, drummer/singer Aaron Ford and bass/singer Jay Phillips. Festival Thyme not only returns the band to their indie roots, but promises to push their already pioneering and explosive sound further with its anthemic stylings. Bad - 25th Anniversary Picture Disc

Ranked 202/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Twenty-five years after the phrase "Who's Bad" became a generation's cultural catchphrase, Epic/Legacy Recordings, in collaboration with the Estate of Michael Jackson, celebrate the legendary album and record breaking BAD tour on September 18, 2012 with the release of BAD 25.

The BAD album was the third Michael Jackson album produced by Quincy Jones and was originally released on August 31, 1987. It was monumental in many ways; Michael wrote nine of the album's eleven tracks and received co-producer credit for the entire album. The album was #1 around the world, made history with five consecutive #1 singles on the Billboard chart, produced ten chart-topping singles, nine ground breaking short films and to date, the Bad album has generated over 45 Million units in sales. BAD was nominated for six Grammys and won two; the album earned Michael the first-ever Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMA Awards. Songs on the original album are: "Bad," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Speed Demon," "Liberian Girl," "Just Good Friends" featuring Stevie Wonder, "Another Part of Me," "Man in the Mirror," "I Just Can't Stop Loving You," "Dirty Diana," "Smooth Criminal," with "Leave Me Alone" added to the album once released.

    Picture of Heath (Pure Pleasure)

First released under the title "Playboys" in 1956 it was then re-released under the title "Picture Of Heath" in 1961 perhaps owing to the fact it carried the same name as a popular men's magazine.

This was the third session together of the dynamic duo of Chet Baker and Art Pepper the previous two having been unequivocal successes. Baker and Pepper have an instinctual rapport that yields outstanding interplay.

These thoroughly enjoyable and often high-energy sides are perfect for bop connoisseurs as well as mainstream jazz listeners.

    Musicians:

    • Chet Baker (trumpet)

    • Art Pepper (alto saxophone)

    • Phil Urso (tenor saxophone)

    • Carl Perkins (piano)

    • Curtis Counce (bass)

    • Lawrence Marable (drums)

    Recording: October 1956

    About Pure Pleasure

At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.

During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.

A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.

We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.

We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.

To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.
