    Singles

'Singles' is a 4 LP, 180 gram compilation of New Order's 1981-2005 singles. Guitarist Bernard Sumner took over vocal duties for the band, and with drummer Stephen Morris, bassist Peter Hook, and keyboardist Gillian Gilbert, made music history! They artfully fused new wave, electronica, synth-pop, and club music earlier than many bands now seen as contemporaries and their new and unique sound was as insightful and deep as it was perfectly suited for the dance floor!

    Joy Division: Box Set

Released in a Limited Edition of only 3,000 copies worldwide, this 180-Gram virgin vinyl, four-disc JOY DIVISION BOX SET contains new pressings of the band's two seminal studio albums - UNKNOWN PLEASURES ('79) and CLOSER ('80) - and the 1981 two-disc rarities compilation STILL.

JOY DIVISION: BOX SET allows you to experience these pioneering albums the way they were heard originally - on sonically rich vinyl LPs. The three titles - a total of four LPS - come housed in an elegant cloth-covered box designed by U.K. artist Peter Saville, who created the distinctive artwork and packaging on the original issues of these classic releases. Once the 3,000 copies sell out, the box will not be reproduced.

Joy Division's 1979 debut UNKNOWN PLEASURES is a landmark album that established the band as principal architects and ultimate icons of the post-punk movement and the U.K. Manchester scene of the late '70s. UNKNOWN PLEASURES' ten classic songs resonate with the atmospheric textures and deep sonic spaces of Martin Hannett's production. Highlights include Insight, Disorder, New Dawn Fades and She's Lost Control. The latter song is the inspiration for the title of the 2007 film Control, the acclaimed Anton Corbijn-directed feature chronicling the life and times of Joy Division's lead singer and principal songwriter, the late Ian Curtis.

Joy Division's 1980 follow-up CLOSER, another seminal post-punk masterpiece, ranks #157 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time. Musically and lyrically driven by the prevailing despair of Ian Curtis - who killed himself only months after the LP was released - CLOSER was also produced by Martin Hannett, who weaves sprawling emotional chaos and shifting atmospheres and textures together into an enormously powerful ten-song tour de force. Stand-outs include Heart And Soul, Isolation, Eternal, Decades and the wrenching Twenty Four Hours.

The compilation STILL came out in late 1981, over a year after Curtis' death. Comprised of twenty studio outtakes, b-sides, live cuts and other rarities, all the tracks were previously unissued at the time of STILL's original release except for Glass and Dead Souls, both compelling studio recordings from 1978 and 1979, respectively. STILL also presents material from Joy Division's last-ever concert, recorded at Birmingham University in May 1980 including the only time they performed Ceremony live (the song would later become a New Order single). Another track captured at Birmingham is Shadowplay, a selection covered in 2007 by The Killers for the soundtrack for the film Control. Other highlights include a live cover of The Velvet Underground's Sister Ray and a 1979 studio recording of Something Must Break.

Joy Division formed in Manchester, England in 1977, and had an immense and profound impact on contemporary music in a very brief time together. They recorded only two full-length studio albums, UNKNOWN PLEASURES and CLOSER, prior to lead singer Ian Curtis' 1980 suicide, just before the single Love Will Tear Us Apart became their breakthrough hit. The remaining members - guitarist Bernard Sumner, bassist Peter Hook and drummer Stephen Morris - disbanded Joy Division after Curtis' death, and re-formed as New Order.

    Unknown Pleasures

Formed in 1977, Joy Division (guitarist Bernard Albrecht, bassist Peter Hook, drummer Stephen Morris, and vocalist Ian Curtis) helped usher in the Post-Punk movement with their haunting melodies and melancholy lyrics. By incorporating synthesizers into their music, they paved the way for an entire generation of bands who would soon follow in their footsteps. The band released two classic albums, 1979's Unknown Pleasures and 1980's Closer as well as several singles, before Curtis' suicide on the eve of their first American tour. Following Curtis' death, Albrecht (now Sumner), Hook, and Morris formed the band New Order, and would continue to record over the next twenty-five years.

It even looks like something classic, beyond its time or place of origin even as it was a clear product of both - one of Peter Saville's earliest and best designs, a transcription of a signal showing a star going nova, on a black embossed sleeve. If that were all Unknown Pleasures was, it wouldn't be discussed so much, but the ten songs inside, quite simply, are stone-cold landmarks, the whole album a monument to passion, energy, and cathartic despair. The quantum leap from the earliest thrashy singles to Unknown Pleasures can be heard through every note, with Martin Hannett's deservedly famous production - emphasizing space in the most revelatory way since the dawn of dub - as much a hallmark as the music itself. Songs fade in behind furtive noises of motion and activity, glass breaks with the force and clarity of doom, minimal keyboard lines add to an air of looming disaster - something, somehow, seems to wait or lurk beyond the edge of hearing. But even though this is Hannett's album as much as anyone's, the songs and performances are the true key. Sumner redefined heavy metal sludge as chilling feedback fear and explosive energy, Hook's instantly recognizable bass work at once warm and forbidding, Morris' drumming smacking through the speakers above all else. Curtis synthesizes and purifies every last impulse, his voice shot through with the desire first and foremost to connect, only connect - as Candidate plaintively states, I tried to get to you/you treat me like this. Pick any song, the nervous death dance of She's Lost Control, the harrowing call for release New Dawn Fades, all four members in perfect sync, the romance in hell of Shadowplay, Insight and its nervous drive towards some sort of apocalypse. All visceral, all emotional, all theatrical, all perfect - one of the best albums ever.

    Welcome Back To Milk

It's time for a revolution. Beth Jeans Houghton is dead. Du Blonde is born.
Welcome Back To Milk is the Newcastle-born singer-songwriter's second
album, but her debut as Du Blonde, and it's a complete reinvention: new name,
new look, new band, new attitude - and attitude is a key word.

Du Blonde is not a persona or a character, it's Beth Jeans Houghton ripping
it up and starting again. Gone is the baroque chamber pop of 2012's Yours
Truly, Cellophane Nose. Gone is the band she recorded that album with,
The Hooves Of Destiny. In place of all that are heavy riffs, loud drums, vocal
aggression and the sound of somebody finding their voice, whether screaming
the chorus of Chips To Go, singing soul-bearing ballad Four In The Morning
or cooing through wistful torch song After The Show.

Aside from a track made with Youth, Welcome Back To Milk is produced by
Jim Sclavunos, who knows plenty about capturing dark sounds as a member
of Nick Cave's Bad Seeds. An unmistakable presence on the album is that of
Future Islands frontman Samuel T Herring, whose soaring vocals appear on
    Mind Is On My Mind.

Where Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose threw everything at a song, Du Blonde
strips everything down to the bare essentials. Black Flag, which opens the
album, is bass, guitar, drums and a dose of rage. "I got really into hard rock
and American hardcore while I was living in LA after we finished touring," she
says. "I couldn't work out why I was having such trouble expressing myself with
the music I was writing, but after a while I realised the instrumentation didn't
lend itself to the anger I was feeling. I needed to release all of this pent up
aggression and I was trying to do it over layers of vocal harmonies and nicely
played instruments. It was never going to work."

"I was hiding behind my guitar for so long, it was easy to feel safe there. I
wanted to put myself in a position I wasn't comfortable with in order to grow
as a performer. I want no choice but to look people dead in the eyes and give
    them all I have."

    Singularity

New Order announces the third single release to
be taken from their acclaimed new album, Music
    Complete.

"Singularity" is all two-tone synth line, tight bass and
menace. The Tom Rowland-produced track is harkens
back to early New Order, filtered through groups that
they inspired, yet given another twist by the originators,
concluding in a noisy synth vortex.

New Order released their new album, Music
Complete, on September 25, 2015. Music Complete
finds the group revitalized, and where the group has
previously pushed toward electronics or guitars, here
the two are in balance. Music Complete also marks
a return to the studio for Gillian Gilbert; this is her first
album with New Order since 2001's Get Ready.

"Singularity" is supported with a full remix package
including remixes by Mark Reeder, Erol Alkan, and
    JS Zeiter.

New Order is: Bernard Sumner, Gillian Gilbert, Stephen
Morris, Tom Chapman and Phil Cunningham.

    Into The Labyrinth

Into The Labyrinth (1993) is Dead Can Dance's sixth album, one of their most successful releases, its title a reference to the Greek legend of Theseus going into the Labyrinth to slay the Minotaur. It came when Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard had embarked on more individual personal paths, now writing their songs independent of one another, and on separate continents. Engineered and produced by Brendan at his Quivvy Church studio in Ireland, the album is an audiophile benchmark and also noted for being their first without any guests, instead they played all the instruments.

    Electric Peace

Electric is the pivotal third album by The Cult. Released in 1987, the album marked a deliberate stylistic change in the band from a Gothic rock to a hard rock band. Rick Rubin, the producer on Electric, had been specifically hired to remake the band's sound in an effort to capitalize on the popularity of hard rock and heavy metal in the 1980s. The album was featured in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

After the breakthrough success of their second album, Love, the Cult began working on a follow-up with producer Steve Brown. In the summer of 1986, they recorded twelve tracks at the Manor Studio in Oxfordshire. These recordings, which came to be known as the Manor Sessions, were to make up a new album, tentatively entitled Peace. However, upon completion of the recording sessions, the band decided that they were unhappy with the sound, and began to look for a new producer.

The band went on to choose Rick Rubin, who was known for producing albums for hip hop artists and thrash metal band Slayer. These new recordings, with a slightly different track-list and running order, became the album that was released.
Although all twelve of the Manor Sessions tracks were initially scrapped, four of them would turn up as B-sides to singles from Electric. A further five of them appeared on a limited edition EP, and with the release of Rare Cult in 2000, the rest of the unreleased Steve Brown-produced tracks were made available.

    Closer

Ranked 157/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The band released two classic albums, 1979s UNKNOWN PLEASURES and 1980s CLOSER as well as several singles, before Curtis suicide on the eve of their first American tour. Following Curtis death, Albrecht (now Sumner), Hook, and Morris formed the band New Order, and would continue to record over the next twenty-five years.

If Unknown Pleasures was Joy Division at their most obsessively, carefully focused, ten songs yet of a piece, Closer was the sprawl, the chaotic explosion that went every direction at once. Who knows what the next path would have been had Curtis not chosen his end? But steer away from the rereading of his every lyric after that date, treat Closer as what everyone else thought it was at first simply the next album and Joy Division's power just seems to have grown. Hannett was still producing, but seems to have taken as many chances as the band itself throughout differing mixes, differing atmospheres, new twists and turns define the entirety of Closer, songs suddenly returned in chopped-up, crumpled form, ending on hiss and random notes. Opener Atrocity Exhibition was arguably the most fractured thing the band had yet recorded, Sumner's teethgrinding guitar and Morris' Can-on-speed drumming making for one heck of a strange start. Keyboards also took the fore more so than ever the drowned pianos underpinning Curtis' shadowy moan on The Eternal, the squirrelly lead synth on the energetic but scared-out-of-its-wits Isolation, and above all else Decades, the album ender of album enders. A long, slow crawl down and out, Curtis' portrait of lost youth inevitably applied to himself soon after, its sepulchral string-synths are practically a requiem. Songs like Heart and Soul and especially the jaw-dropping, wrenching Twenty Four Hours, as perfect a demonstration of the tension/release or soft/loud approach as will ever be heard, simply intensify the experience. Joy Division was at the height of their powers on Closer, equaling and arguably bettering the astonishing Unknown Pleasures, that's how accomplished the four members were. Rock, however defined, rarely seems and sounds so important, so vital, and so impossible to resist or ignore as here.

The Order Of Time (Awaiting Repress)

Valerie June's highly anticipated second album, The Order of Time, is set for release via Concord Records. On this enthralling and illuminating leap forward, the Tennessee-bred, Brooklyn-based songwriter weaves electric blues, African rhythms, cosmic atmospherics and delicate soul into an inventive and wholly original rumination on love, family, struggle and the passing of time. Produced by Matt Marinelli (Bad Brains), The Order of Time features twelve original songs all written by June.

Musically, June has refined and expanded her sound on the new album finding space from her previous work in its artful, self-assured restraint and overall cohesion. The collection's finely sketched character studies brim with richness and detail while June's ethereal, wide-open soundscapes provide a sterling backdrop for her remarkable Southern gospel and honey voice. Lyrical touch points such as 'dancing shadows,' 'hot suppers,' 'curious neighbors,' and 'holy water' draw the listener in and root these songs with density and weight.

The "inevitability of change" and "time as the ruler of Earth's rhythm," is the album's foundation, explains June. "And the knowledge that with resilience and faith things can work out."

"Long Lonely Road" is a reflective and somber lament as June's voice reverberates over ringing guitar and unhurried drums, whereas the entrancing blues of "If And" internalizes regret in the face of time's relentless churn. On the spiritual "Astral Plane," June's mystical vocal takes an otherworldly turn, whereas the sumptuous string arrangement on "With You," is reminiscent of Nico's most affecting work. Norah Jones adds her distinctive vocals to three tracks and "Shake Down" sparkles with background vocal contributions from her father, Emerson Hockett and brothers, Patrick and Jason Hockett.

The Order of Time follows June's 2013 breakout LP, Pushin' Against a Stone that established her as one of America's "most intriguing, fully formed new talents" according to the New York Times. She garnered praise from NPR, "a singular performer" and New York Magazine, "a powerful singer and a blunt, bruising songwriter." June also made memorable appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, CBS Saturday Morning, Rachael Ray, and Austin City Limits. She has toured with Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings and Sturgill Simpson, and performed at Newport Folk Festival, Carnegie Hall, and much more.

    Van Halen Deluxe Box Set

Remastered Directly from the Analog Master Recordings by Chris Bellman

Van Halen will release its first-ever live album to feature original singer David Lee Roth. Recorded on June 21, 2013 at the famed Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, TOKYO DOME LIVE IN CONCERT includes 23 songs, spanning all seven of the band's albums with Roth.

TOKYO DOME LIVE IN CONCERT features an electrifying performance by singer David Lee Roth, guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen, and bassist Wolfgang Van Halen. Mixed by award-winning engineer and mixer Bob Clearmountain (Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Roxy Music, Nine Inch Nails, and many more), and mastered by Chris Bellman, the album features such classic anthems as "Dance The Night Away," "Beautiful Girls," "And The Cradle Will Rock " "Unchained," and "Everybody Wants Some!!" as well as blistering versions of "Tattoo," "She's The Woman," and "China Town" from the group's most recent studio album, A Different Kind of Truth.

Van Halen reinvented the sound of hard rock in 1978 with its influential and wildly successful eponymous debut album and then achieved even greater success six years later with 1984. Both albums would define a generation while selling more than 10 million copies each in the U.S. alone to earn diamond-certification from the RIAA. The band recently went back to the original analog tapes and remastered both of these landmark albums - Van Halen and 1984 - which are now also set for release on March 30, 2015 through Warner Bros. Records.

Considered one of the greatest debut albums in rock history, Van Halen took the music world by storm in 1978 with an 11-song manifesto that features some of rock radio's most played songs of all time and scorching concert staples like "Runnin' With The Devil," "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love," "Jamie's Cryin'," the band's signature cover of The Kinks' "You Really Got Me," and Eddie Van Halen's finger-tapping tour de force, "Eruption." Six years and five albums later, Van Halen had become one of the biggest bands in world around the release of 1984, which includes a number of the band's most legendary songs such as the #1 hit, "Jump," "Panama," and "Hot For Teacher."

Mastering engineer Chris Bellman, who remastered the original albums for Bernie Grundman Studios, Hollywood, CA, was enlisted for these new versions. In order to produce the original sound the band intended, Bellman cut straight from the quarter-inch tapes for 180-gram vinyl.

Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Vol. 1 and 2 on Numbered Limited Edition 180 Gram 3LP from Mobile Fidelity

23-Times Platinum Collection Among the 5 Best-Selling Albums in History

Joel's Peak-Era Hits In One Place

Mastered from the Original Master Tapes for the First Time: Unsurpassed Sound

26-Track Set Includes Standards Such as Piano Man, It's Still Rock and Roll to Me, Pressure, Allentown, Uptown Girl, and Many More

It's the third best-selling record in American history. It contains nearly every one of Billy Joel's peak-era chart hits as well as a smattering of fan favorites. It encapsulates exactly why the singer-songwriter-pianist remains one of the most beloved, commercially successful, relentlessly creative, and oft-referenced artists in music. Spanning 1973 to 1985, Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Vol. 1 and 2 functions a hand-guided tour through pop, rock, doo-wop, blues, R&B, blue-eyed soul, and chamber jazz. It is rivaled by few-if any-other compilations.

Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed on 180 gram vinyl at RTI, Mobile Fidelity's pristine reissue of this ubiquitous classic finally does justice to the Hall of Fame caliber music. Part of the label's restoration of Joel's most crucial releases, Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Vol. 1 and 2 literally takes on new life. Devoid of the flatness, squelched dynamics, and limited soundscapes that defined previous versions, the collection brings Joel's genius and intentions into a more transparent light.

Is it any wonder that this double set has moved more than 23 million copies to date? No. All told, 20 Top 40 singles line up alongside six album-track favorites, the songs all instantly recognized by name. This is touchstone material that's long crossed over into multiple generations of listeners and eradicated genre boundaries, and formed the basis of Joel's constantly sold-out concerts for the past two-plus decades.

As demonstrated on diverse fare ranging from "Piano Man" to "The Stranger," "Big Shot" to "Uptown Girl," and the pair of then-new tracks ("You're Only Human (Second Wind)" and "The Night Is Still Young"), Joel always succeeds in wrapping his head around rich swaths of American pop, his music stopping by way of New Orleans, Kansas City, Memphis, Chicago, and other milestone cities.

The singer's simple, yet disarmingly effective lyrics speak to universal truths and uplift. Joel's melodic flair does the rest, filling out tunes with comprehensive arrangements, towering harmonies, and a swift sense of purpose. His catalog testifies on behalf of unimpeachably ovational songwriting and execution. Experience all his hits in heart-rustling fidelity. They, and you, have waited long enough for such an intimate encounter.

New Skin For The Old Ceremony

    Meticulously Remastered

Sourced From The Original Columbia Records Stereo Masters In Order To Preserve The Sound Of The Original Albums

1974's New Skin for the Old Ceremony saw Leonard Cohen taking a turn away from the spare sound of his earlier releases, with such numbers as Chelsea Hotel #2, There Is a War and A Singer Must Die featuring expanded instrumental arrangements and some of the most expressive vocal performances of Cohen's career.

By the time Cohen began his recording career in 1967, the iconoclastic Canadian troubadour was already well established as a poet and author. He quickly emerged as one of the eras most original and influential singer-songwriters, building a large and legendary body of work that continues to inspire artists and listeners alike.

Much of Cohens reputation and mystique was established by his early work for Columbia Records, particularly the five albums he recorded between 1967 and 1974. Now, these five classic albums, unavailable on vinyl for two decades, have been lovingly restored to their original LP format.

For their new Sundazed editions, all five albums have been meticulously remastered and have been sourced from the original Columbia Records stereo masters in order to preserve the sound of the original albums. In keeping with the exacting standards for which Sundazed has become known, each album will be pressed on high-definition vinyl, with complete original cover art.

    Order Of The Black

In the two decades since Ozzy Osbourne hired him away from his job at a New Jersey gas station to become his new guitarist, Zakk Wylde has established himself as a guitar icon known and revered the world over. Writing and recording with Osbourne led to multi-platinum success, inspiring him to create the now legendary Black Label Society in 1998. In the decade plus since, BLS has turned the notion of what a rock band should be upside down by inspiring legions of fans (known as Berserkers) all over the world to follow the mantra: Strength, Determination, Merciless, Forever (SDMF for short). Wylde and his Berserkers have established a heavy metal institution true to the vision of uncompromising, unfiltered and unrestrained rock 'n' roll.
