UNIM-DOG-0710xAll American Rejects
When The World Comes DownLimited Repress Gatefold LP On Clear Vinyl With White And Blue Starburst
The All-American Rejects began writing material for their third studio album in late December 2006 after wrapping up their Tournado tour, and continued through into the new year. But due to further touring and promotion for their second album Move Along, the band did not enter the studio until nearly a year later. This was also the first time lyricists Nick Wheeler and Tyson Ritter tried new methods of writing by escaping to various regional areas in North America to conceive new lyrics so that the songs could sound honest.
The first songs to be written that made it onto the album were I Wanna, Back to Me, and Breakin'. While I Wanna was written over a six-month period, with Ritter making constant refinements, the following songs Gives You Hell and Another Heart Calls were all written during a road trip to Vancouver, Canada, with Fallin' Apart and Mona Lisa (When the World Comes Down) getting scored in Rabun County, Georgia, the latter of which was recorded live in one take. The album was later named When the World Comes Down as Ritter saw the title track as a perfect, simple work of art.
The All-American Rejects began recording for When the World Comes Down at Skywalker Ranch in San Rafael, California and later at Barefoot Studios with producer Eric Valentine. The 16-piece orchestra featured on a dozen of the tracks was recorded at Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, California.
In an interview with She Knows Entertainment, Ritter commented I think When the World Comes Down has been a journey. I was twenty-three when I started writing this record. I'm twenty-four now... people say when you graduate college you figure out who you are. If I had graduated college, this would be that moment - now. I think I was most questioning life when I was getting off the road with Move Along and this record was therapy for me. It's everything I needed it to be for me.1. I Wanna

UNIM-JMB-7821xJames Vincent McMorrow
We MoveWritten in constant transition - and recorded between Toronto, Dublin and London - 'We Move' is James Vincent McMorrow's most expansive, generous and ambitious record to date. There is, on the other hand, something more stripped-back - vulnerable, even - surfacing for the first time: far from the dense, protective imagery at the heart of 'Post Tropical', 'We Move' is ultimately a record open in its portrait of anxiety and social unease. For McMorrow, it's about celebrating mental fragility - and how we move forward in life - rather than "people listening to my songs and believing that I'm out in the forest all day long, thinking about trees. Because I'm actually at home, trying to convince myself to go out and get milk."
The first steps to 'We Move' took place in 2014, when James - having been asked to write for different artists' projects - started sketching out ideas for others on tour (and subsequently stopped over-analysing his own work). Intent on doing the opposite of everything he'd done thus far, McMorrow then came off the road, but kept exploring: first through Barcelona, then Canada, and stopping in Los Angeles for six particularly fish-out-of-water months, where the songs for the album crystallised. He returned to Dublin determined not to just produce another album himself, but to work with people who could articulate the unique world he heard in his head ("I grew up wanting to write songs like Neil Young but produce them like The Neptunes"). And so James reached out to a few key co-producers he'd met whilst travelling, who formed the backbone of 'We Move': namely, Nineteen85 (Drake, DVSN), Two Inch Punch (Sam Smith, Years & Years), and Frank Dukes (Kanye West, Rihanna). Mixing took place largely in Miami with one of McMorrow's all-time heroes, Jimmy Douglass - known for his work from Donny Hathaway through to Timbaland - who finessed the record's warm, vintage yet forward-thinking feel.
The result is an album about movement - geographically, mentally, emotionally - which remains focused on finding your place in that future. First track 'Rising Water' is starkly-produced and skyscraper-sized in its sense of catharsis ("I never once was sad for what I've done"): 'Evil', meanwhile, questions whether you might in fact be a bad person, because you don't see life the way other people do (its tone is celebratory rather than ominous, however). Heavier still is 'I Lie Awake Every Night', which sees James address for the first time the eating disorder he has battled since he was a child ("it's about lying in hospital when I was a kid, thinking I shouldn't be there, and trying to reconcile those two things"). 'We Move' reacts against McMorrow's instincts to obscure ideas such as this, and ultimately embraces a shared, collective awkwardness, and the idea that maybe we're all putting on a brave face in some way.
Beginning with Rising Water, 'We Move' continues a remarkable journey for the Dublin-born singer and songwriter, whose early work offered little clue as to the sounds and situations that would follow. It's a remarkably assured collection, informed by this idea that you might not have to listen to others when they tell you how they think life is supposed to go; and that as you grow up, you lose things along the way. Rather, 'We Move' suggests it's possible to keep what you want to keep, and lose what you want to lose.1. Rising Water

Mountain Moves (Pre-Order)This is no time for the tortured artist. Right now, we're living in two worlds at once. The first is a death-driven monoculture: cutthroat, cynical, exploitative, literally deranged. This is the dominant, unlistening world, the unmoved mountain. Then there's the other world: the still-breathing, idealistic, and wholly life-affirming underground.
Mountain Moves is a celebration of the under-sung communities that have nourished us with their joy, their energy, their individualism, their pointless beauty.Starring the singing, playing, and songwriting of guests whose musical and political voices we admire, Mountain Moves is partly an ecstatic snapshot of a would-be utopia.
Fragmentation is more than an aesthetic. One moment your head's exploding over the stupidity and sadism of our leaders and systems, the next your favorite singer has just emailed you a vocal track recorded in their hotel room on tour. Mountain Moves explores the extremes of despair and hope that make up so much of our minute-to-minute experience.
We met a lot of crowds this year, at Brazilian music festivals, arena shows, protests. The power and potential of a crowd is like music itself - inspiring, healing, urgent. We made Mountain Moves fast, in hopes of capturing some of that communal energy. Please dance and sing along.

You need neither an instruction manual nor a university education to love the Dead Daisies' music. Their songs unerringly hit their listeners' autonomic nervous system, immediately take root in their hearts and souls and force them to move along to the rhythm. "There are lots of very good reasons why this kind of rock 'n roll has never gone out of fashion," band members David Lowy (Red Phoenix, Mink), John Corabi (Mötley CrÜe, Ratt), Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio), Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy) and Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner) agree. „Our songs are simply timeless, immortal, classic! Attack On MemoryIn 2009, Cleveland, OH's Dylan Baldi began writing and recording lo-fi power-pop songs in his parents basement, dubbing the project Cloud Nothings. His music quickly started making the Internet rounds, and fans and critics alike took note of his pithy songcraft, infectiously catchy melodies, and youthful enthusiasm. Baldi soon released a string of 7s, a split cassette, and an EP before putting out Turning On, a compilation spanning about a years worth of work, on Carpark in 2010. January 2011 saw the release of Cloud Nothings self-titled debut LP, which, put next to Turning On, found Baldi cleaning up his lo-fi aesthetic, pairing his tales of affinitive confusion with a more pristine aural clarity. In the interval since the release of Cloud Nothings, Baldi has toured widely and put a great deal of focus on his live show, a detail that heavily shapes the music of this, his follow-up album, Attack on Memory.
After playing the same sets nightly for months on end, Baldi saw the rigidity of his early work, and he wanted to create arrangements that would allow for more improvisation and variability when played on the road. To accomplish this desired malleability, the entire band decamped to Chicago, where the album was recorded with Steve Albini, and all lent a hand in the songwriting process. The product of these sessions is a record boasting features that, even at a glance, mark a sea change in the bands sound: higher fidelity, a track clocking in at almost nine minutes, an instrumental, and an overall more plaintive air. The songs move along fluidly, and Baldi sounds assured as he brings his vocals up in the mix, allowing himself to hold out long notes and put some grain into his voice. Minor key melodies abound, drums emphatically contribute much more than mere timekeeping, and the guitar work is much more adventurous than that of previous releases.
For all of early Cloud Nothings fun and fervor, Baldi admits that it never sounded like most of the music he listens to. With Attack on Memory, he wanted to remedy this anomaly, and in setting out to do so, Baldi and Co. have created an album that shows vast growth in a still very young band.1. No Future/No Past

The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me (Black Vinyl)Black Vinyl Version
When Brand New released Deja Entendu in mid-2003, it caught a lot of their fans off guard. It found the band taking a stylistic leap forward from the clever (albeit cookie-cutter) pop-punk of their 2001 debut, exploring expanded sonic textures and indie rock overtones, their urgent choruses tempered by acoustic musings and softer introspections. It all seemed very deliberate yet completely natural all the same, and the record was an underground smash. Something even more substantial was definitely brewing beneath the band's emo façade, and as a result, Brand New's follow-up was hotly anticipated for the three years it took the band to release it. The resulting The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me is the completion of their pop-punk molting process and one of the best surprises -- that isn't really a surprise at all -- to come out of 2006. Even when they were playing straightforward pop-punk ditties, Brand New had an edge to them that made them seem smarter than their peers; now they sound even older and stronger (and like they've been listening to a lot of '90s college and indie rock). This record is dark and dense, yet accessible, a shadowy air permeating every crevice where Jesse Lacey's plaintive and often tortured lyrics aren't already residing. He draws listeners in with vulnerable ruminations and questions of love, death, self, and religion, and his vocal inflections bring as much meaning to the table as his carefully chosen words. The opening Sowing Season ebbs and flows steadily, moving along under light guitar before exploding with percussion, Lacey ably switching from a hushed delivery into an anguished cry of emotion before falling back down again effortlessly. With it, Brand New sets up the somber intensity of the record straightaway. Textural and sonic layers unfold at every turn -- punching drums and trembling guitars here, aching vocals and subtle touches of string there -- and the album moves with a directed force that seems so naturally powerful and uncontrived, it's almost ridiculous to think that the band cut its teeth with poppy anthems like Jude Law and a Summer Abroad. The Devil and God is not an album of hooks; the excellent percussive stomp of The Archers Bows Have Broken is the most immediate here, but songs get stuck in the brain nonetheless and demand repeated spins. Old fans especially smitten by Deja's Play Crack the Sky have no excuse not to love everything about this record, as even lengthy tracks (like the near-eight-minute Limousine or the chill-inducing beauty of Jesus) are completely compelling. People who were ready to discount Brand New into the emo/TRL heap of the 2000s better rethink their stance; Brand New seems to know exactly what they're doing and this record is a testament to their ability to stay true to themselves. Whether they want to stay underground or fully break into the mainstream, this album has the potential to do either. Either way it doesn't really matter -- whatever happens, there's no denying how excellent this record is.

Originally recorded in 1962, Tony Bennett at Carnegie Hall is a testament to Bennett's live vocal ability, writes AllMusic.com. Backed by the Ralph Sharon Orchestra, Bennett moves far beyond his standard musical catalogue.
Along with standards like I Left My Heart in San Francisco and Just in Time, Bennett reached out to create great medleys such as (I Like New York in June) How About You/April in Paris, that automatically become his as soon as they are performed. Altogether there are 30 tracks on the album. Most remarkable is the clarity of the recording of the concert. If not for the tremendous applause of the audience, you could swear that Bennett had recorded each track in the studio. A masterpiece!LP 1

SaudadeThievery Corporation, one of the most influential and respected names on the electronic/dance music scene, are pleased to announce their seventh studio album, Saudade, their first record devoted entirely to the Brazilian-born genre that first connected the duo.
Saudade borrows its title from a Portuguese word meaning "a longing for something or someone that is lost, a contented melancholy, or, simply, the presence of absence." Drawing influence from classic Brazilian performers like Antonio Carlos Jobim, Gal Costa, and Luis Bonfá-along with Serge Gainsbourg, Ennio Morricone, and more modern artists like electro-samba pioneer Isabelle Antena-Saudade achieves its delicate yet deeply sensuous sound with the help of more than a dozen guest musicians. With each track sung by one of five female vocalists (including longtime Thievery cohort LouLou Ghelichkhani, newcomer Elin Melgarejo, Nouvelle Vague singer Karina Zeviani, Argentine chanteuse Natalia Clavier, and former Bitter:Sweet singer/songwriter Shana Halligan), the endlessly mesmerizing album also features such guests as U.N.K.L.E. drummer Michael Lowery, Argentine singer/songwriter Federico Aubele, and master Brazilian percussionist Roberto Santos.
"We always try to progress into something different and stretch our musical chops, and taking a whole album to dive into this one sound seemed like a really great way to do that," says Eric Hilton. Adds Rob Garza: "It's a bit of a departure for us, but at the same time these are our roots, this is what brought us together. It's us coming full circle from electronic music back to something organic before we move on to our next chapter."1. Decollage (feat Lou Lou Gleichkhani)

Supertramp's Blockbuster Features Catchy Hooks, Rhapsodic Melodies, Symphonic Bluster, Meticulous Production: Breakfast in America Includes The Logical Song, Take the Long Way Home
Mastered from the Original Master Tapes for Supreme Sonics: Mobile Fidelity's 180g Vinyl LP Presents the Record's Famed Dynamics, Colors, Tones, and Instrumentation in Full-Range Glory
Supertramp's Breakfast in America has it all: Illustrious artwork. Sing-a-long hooks. Contagious melodies. Symphonic bluster. Rhapsodic thrust. Signature Wurlitzer electric piano sounds. Two Grammy Awards, including one for Best Engineered Album. More than 20 million copies sold. Four Billboard hit singles that continue to dominate radio airplay today. Every aspect of the chart-topping art-rock set screams blockbuster, not the least of which is the production, the result of painstaking studio setups and months of mixing. Now, you can experience the sonic brilliance in unprecedented clarity on Mobile Fidelity's definitive analog reissue.
Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed at RTI, this numbered, limited-edition 180g LP wrings out the record's dynamics, colors, and tones in all their full-range glory. Absent artificial ceilings, Breakfast in America unfolds with an expansiveness and radiance that parallels the vibrancy of its iconic New York-themed cover. Crucial traits such as imaging, separation, balance, transients, and openness achieve near-epic levels of realism and presence. Songs unfold and breathe on mammoth soundstages that put the effort's legendary production - and stellar playing - into proper perspective. The 1979 set has been reissued multiple times in the past, but it's never sounded so engaging, lifelike, or entertaining. If you think you know the record backwards and forwards, wait until you hear this version.
Indeed, aside from the undeniably catchy nature of the ten tracks, fun remains the most central element of Breakfast in America. The band even titled the record to fall in line with the overall joyful feeling of the material. About the latter: Few late 1970s rock albums feature a more cohesive, harmony-drenched parade of stunningly executed, wondrously arranged works. The collective offspring of members Rick Davies and Roger Hodgson, each tune reflects the creative pulses of each musician, with the resultant contrasts lending to their appeal. Davies' penchant for grittier, bluesy strands blends with Hodgson's witty, pop-leaning techniques. The combination proves unstoppable.
Home to a quartet of commercial staples - The Logical Song, Goodbye Stranger, Take the Long Way Home, and the title track - Breakfast in America teems with arena-sized drama, meticulous craftsmanship, and mesmerizing refrains. Shrewd lyrical turns abound, whether on the phonetic, adjective-stacked The Logical Song, life-in-America portrait Child of Vision, or move-to-L.A. saga Gone Hollywood. U.S. references also dot the smash title track, which reflects the glib humor, romantic fantasies, and pop culture permeating the record.
Breakfast in America also retains its vitality because of its expert instrumentation and placement. Deemed a a textbook-perfect album of post-Beatles, keyboard-centered English art rock that strikes the shrewdest possible balance between quasi-symphonic classicism and rock & roll by Rolling Stone shortly after its release, the record serves as a blueprint of reference-setting production and mixing. Check the scorching guitar outro on Goodbye Stranger, gospel accents on Lord Is It Mine, saxophone lines on Take the Long Way Home, or chemistry of the choruses on basically every piece here. Hummingbird In A BoxThe new music on Hummingbird in a Box was inspired by the Cincinnati Ballet, featuring seven original guitar pieces in Frampton's virtuosic stylings. Frampton composed all songs on the mini-album along with Gordon Kennedy, who also co-produced the recording. The two previously teamed up for Fingerprints, which garnered them both a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album.
The music debuted in April 2013 at Cincinnati's Aronoff Center for the Arts. Two of the Cincinatti Ballet's spring production's segments were choreographed to existing Frampton music-with Frampton and his band performing live-while a third section featured the new composition by Frampton and Kennedy. Of the project Frampton notes, "Writing for dance was a wonderfully freeing experience. There were no boundaries. We were able to push the composing envelope," and Kennedy furthers, "Songwriters and musicians create music to move people. This was beautiful, graceful, and instantly gratifying!"1. American Epic: The Best of Mississippi John HurtBlues fingerpicking guitarist, singer and sharecropper Mississippi John Hurt was born in the heart of Mississippi Hill Country, along the veiny tributaries of the great American river. His moving renditions of "Frankie" and "Spike Driver Blues" were included in Harry Smith's American Anthology of Folk Music in 1952 and were vitally influential on the Greenwich Village folk music revival of the 1960s as well as John Fahey's development of the American Primitive Guitar genre.

Onward And SidewaysCleveland born, songwriter/performer Joshua Radin has earned a loyal following for his wistful meditations and hit songs. His rootsy-pop track, "I'd Rather Be With You" from Simple Times topped the iTunes album chart at #1 and hit 'top 10' in ten different countries. The hushed, emotionally raw "Winter" and Closer from his 2006 album, We Were Here received a four-star review in Rolling Stone Magazine. Radin's compositions have a proven track record having been sound-tracked on shows like Grey's Anatomy, American Idol and House. His songs have been used more than 100 times in various films and television shows making him a 'behind the scenes' artist whose music is heard most everywhere.
In 2008, Ellen DeGeneres asked Joshua to perform at her wedding. Radin said, "I played six of my songs and Ellen and Portia just sat right in front of me looking at each other, crying, and looking at me. I actually teared up a little-that's never happened to me before."
Live performances have always been Radin's lifeblood. After stints as a screenwriter in New York and as an inner-city art teacher in Chicago, he moved to Southern California to test the waters as a musician. "More than drawing, I taught those kids in Chicago a general perspective of the world-looking at something and not being overwhelmed. And it's how I've always looked at life," he says. "I've always wanted to wake up every day and have the opportunity to be creative, to express what's going on in my head and heart, and to be able to connect with the world in that way. I may have started playing music later in life than my peers, but I love living with the idea that it's never too late."
When his father gave him a guitar on a whim for his birthday, Radin taught himself how to play. Soon after, in 2004, he wrote his first song, "Winter," about a fractured relationship with his longtime girlfriend. The song so moved his college friend Zach Braff, that the actor passed it along to a producer on his TV show, Scrubs. Three weeks later, it was played on the show. Buzz from the Scrubs show was fast and furious, crashing the NBC site and winning Radin thousands of new fans. Afterward, he worked hard to build a grassroots movement on social-media sites and continued to build his fan base.
For various albums, Radin has recruited 'dream teams' of musicians to enhance his sounds. Among them: pianist Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), drummer Jim Keltner (Bob Dylan, John Lennon), and string arranger Jimmie Haskell (Simon and Garfunkel). Joshua has sold over two and a half million singles and over 700,000 full-length albums.
In 2015, Radin releases his sixth studio album, "Onward and Sideways." His first single, "Beautiful Day" features a duet with American, singer songwriter Sheryl Crow.1. We'll Keep Running Forever

American TeenKhalid has been surrounded by music his entire life. He grew up in a military family, his mother is a singer with the Army and he was introduced to music at an early age. Khalid spent most of his childhood in Germany before moving to Watertown, NY for High School. The summer going into his senior year of High School, Khalid's family was ordered to relocate to El Paso, TX. By 18-years-old, Khalid, who is classically vocal trained, had drawn on his experiences with moving often and the unique experience of growing up having lived in two continents and parlayed them into the creation of his viral smash, "Location" which helped him to land a major label deal with Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records. Khalid released "Location" before his high school graduation and it garnered over 1.52 million plays in less than two months, along with critical praise from music tastemakers such as Pigeons & Planes, Earmilk, and more.LP 1

Spirit Of The Golden JuiceThe world that inspired Spirit of The Golden Juice nearly 50 years ago has moved on. F.J. McMahon moved on with it.
Originally pressed in a small quantity and scattered along the California coastline in 1969, F.J. McMahon's first and only album, Spirit Of The Golden Juice, is a spell-binding blend of singer-songwriter emotion and spiraling guitar accompaniment with a raw, adventurous character all its own.
Well-chronicled and loved since its rediscovery, Spirit Of The Golden Juice is an album concerned with memory and mystery and the preservation of the two. It's also about the weight of personal experience and how we tow it around with us.
F.J.'s simple, personal approach to songwriting allows us the space to fill in our own colors and our own faces. Its themes are there in plain sight, but the questions it asks are sometimes left for us to answer for ourselves.1. Sister, Brother
