Numbered Limited Edition 180g LP from Mobile Fidelity

    1994 Self-Titled Major-Label Debut a Folk-Blues Classic

Half-Speed Mastered from the Original Master Tapes: Gorgeous Vocal Inflections, Astonishing Acoustic Guitar Lines Possess Incredible Detail

Pure Blues: National Steel Guitar Playing, Raw Harmonica Solos, Soulful Strumming Infuse Originals and Pair of Covers

In an age where most contemporary bluesmen strive to mimic the past and pattern their music after the greats, Keb' Mo' is content to be himself. Original, charismatic, and immensely gifted, the guitarist/vocalist (born Kevin Moore) brings country blues in the late 20th century on his stunning self-titled Epic debut, which quickly climbed the charts and turned the former backing instrumentalist into a household name. Replete with gritty textures, close-up vocals, and resplendent acoustics, Mobile Fidelitys scintillating analog version of this 1994 set finally possesses the fidelity that brings Mos Delta strains out of the backwoods and onto a lively back porch.

Half-speed mastered from the original tapes, this numbered limited-edition 180g LP represents the very first time that Mos watershed album has been given a much-needed sonic facelift. Gone are the hazes that obscured his singing, artificial ceilings that blunted the highs, and digital fog that interfered with the multitude of illuminating tones, details, and notes. Whats revealed is startling intimacy and soothing emotion, Mos gorgeous vocal timbres and inflections given equal space with his guitar, harmonica, and pace. Finally, a great-sounding contemporary blues record that does not resort to derivative recycling and bland revivalism.

The son of Southern parents, Mo' channels his heritage via a batch of superb folksy songs that relax, refresh, and regale. While hes since traveled in a more commercialized pop-oriented direction, Mos initial salvo is nothing but raw, pure blues played with unbridled passion, tremendous conviction, and what is best deemed the essence of heart and soul. Keb' Mo' engages with a compelling mix of tradition and modernity, the headliner refraining from any attempt at assuming an artificial personality and instead basing his reputation on quality songs. As such, Mos material resonates with deep, mellow vibes and extraordinary National steel guitar work, which complements his fluid, acoustic finger-picking and soulful strumming.

Mo' occasionally teams with an ensemble. But this record is mostly all about the basics: guitar, voice, and harmonica. Tunes such as Victims of Comfort and Angelina testify on behalf of his phenomenal country-blues songwriting; his covers of Robert Johnsons Come On In My Kitchen and Kindhearted Woman Blues speak to his reverence for the past. Shuffles, ballads, dance songsMo nails them all.

You owe it to yourself to hear this master musician in the finest possible sound. Every movement on the guitar fretboard, every breath Mo' takes before exhaling words, every crisp and gutsy pluck of the strings they have never possessed more dynamics, detail, or life. Imaging and soundstaging are incredible.

Keb' Mo' remains one of the finest blues albums made in the post-Stevie Ray Vaughan era. Don't miss this American gem that so many have since tried to copy.

    No Mythologies To Follow

No Mythologies To Follow' is the debut album from Danish pop star Mo. The album packs together all of last year's punchy, no-prisoners singles - the swooning 'Never Wanna Know', the Diplo collaboration 'XXX 88' - and compresses them into a brash pop assault. Closer 'Glass' doesn't leave a second's pause. There's no breathing space, here. It's an abrupt, effective conclusion. It's an album full of electronic pop perfection fused with soulful synths and melodies. Think a mix of Grimes, Santigold and Lykke Li.

    Keb' Mo' (Pure Pleasure)

Keb' Mo's self-titled debut is an edgy, ambitious collection of gritty country blues. Keb' Mo' pushes into new directions, trying to incorporate some of the sensibilites of the slacker revolution without losing touch of the tradition that makes the blues the breathing, vital art form it is. His attempts aren't always successful, but his gutsy guitar playing and impassioned vocals, as well as his surprisingly accomplished songwriting, make Keb' Mo' a debut to cherish.

    About Pure Pleasure

At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.

During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.

A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.

We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.

We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.

To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

    Mo Beauty (On Sale)

Mo Beauty is the debut solo release from celebrated singer/songwriter Alec Ounsworth, who earned acclaim with his band Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. The album was produced by veteran musician/producer and fellow Philadelphia native Steve Berlin (Los Lobos, Blasters, John Lee Hooker, The Replacements), who initially suggested a New Orleans setting for recording. Working with some of the city's most storied musicians, including George Porter of The Meters on bass, Ounsworth has crafted a collection of songs that pick up where Clap Your Hands Say Yeah leave off. Mo Beauty carries on the band's vein of quirky humor, unabashed melody, and sonic experimentation, but with the weight of New Orleans and its history hovering over the recording, Ounsworth has dug deep on songs like Holy, Holy, Holy Moses (song for New Orleans), while tracks like South Philadelphia groove in a whole new way.

Mo Beauty features George Porter, Jr. on bass, Stanton Moore on drums, Robert Walter on keys, and Matt Sutton on baritone and pedal-steel guitars, with additional help from members of the talented New Orleans community.

    One Mo' 'Gen

One Mo' 'Gen is the second album by Southern rap group 95 South, released in 1995. It peaked at #158 on the Billboard 200 and contained the minor hit Rodeo which peaked at #77 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was produced mostly by the production duo of Jay Ski and C.C. Lemonhead, who also were members of the 69 Boyz and formed the Quad City DJ's. It didn't chart quite as well as the group's debut, Quad City Knock; however, it is described by Allmusic as an improvement on their debut, featuring more confident rapping and stronger, funkier backing tracks.

The HW-16.5 is the standard in affordable record cleaning machines but neither its build quality nor its cleaning power has been compromised. Its high-torque, 18 RPM turntable motor is more than capable of withstanding the pressure of heavy scrubbing during extended cleaning sessions, and its 35-second cleaning cycle per side makes quick work of even the dirtiest records. Now with self aligning vacuum suction tubes for even more accurate cleaning, the HW-16.5's high-powered vacuum ensures quick, deep cleaning.

The newly designed vacuum pickup tube automatically adjusts to accommodate records of any thickness. The internal fluid collection system is made of stainless steel to prevent corrosion, and the fully enclosed design prevents splashing. In the VPI tradition, all components are extra heavy-duty and professional grade.

"I have found the HW-16.5 to be an outstanding performer. The record surfaces are microscopically clean and are so pristine they look new!" -- Bert Whyte, Audio Magazine

"Keb' Mo' is one of the most authentic and appealing performers of his generation, and that's why a double-live album from him is such an unqualified joy." - The Daily Vault

"That Hot Pink Blues Album is a satisfying summation of Keb' Mo's career to date, every bit as warm, personable, and observant as the man himself. Let's hope there's another dozen albums waiting up ahead." - The Daily Vault

Over the past two decades, Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, guitarist and contemporary blues artist, Keb' Mo', has cultivated a reputation as being a modern master of American roots music through the understated excellence of his live and studio performances. Recorded throughout the past year while on tour, and produced by Casey Wasner, the double-disc album features 16 live recorded songs from Keb' Mo's extensive catalog. Several of the tracks are songs off his most recent album, BLUESAmericana, which garnered Keb' Mo' a 2015 Blues Music Award from the Blues Foundation, three 2015 Grammy award nominations and multiple other achievements. Leading up to the release of the album, Keb' Mo' will make various media appearances in support of this highly anticipated new release. Following the release of KEB' MO' LIVE - THAT HOT PINK BLUES ALBUM, Keb' and his three-piece band will take their routinely sold-out show to fans across North America and Europe throughout their tour; playing in theaters and a variety of venues across the country.

    The Door

Available On Vinyl For The First Time

Few musicians can captivate with just their voice and guitar, but Keb' Mo' pulls it off on his fifth release The Door. It's as if DNA from Robert Johnson and James Taylor fused inside this singer-songwriter, simply known as Kevin Moore when he played guitar with Papa John Creach back in the '70s.

At 49 years old, Keb' Mo' has paid his dues. More importantly, he 's a compelling singer, a versatile stringman, and a fine songwriter. He's also one of the few best-selling artists today whose music genuinely deserves a big audience.

Keb'Mo' has a knack for advancing the pure Blues formula into uncharted territories. Take his remake of the Elmore James' classic "It Hurts Me Too." It's nearly impossible to make a synthesizer work in a Blues context, but Keb' Mo' finds a way on this track. On gentle numbers like "Anyway" and sophisticated compositions such as the jazzy "It's All Coming Back," Keb' Mo' also extends himself well beyond the Blues.

    Keep It Simple

Available On Vinyl For The First Time

Keep It Simple (2004) is the seventh studio album by blues artist Keb' Mo'. The album won a Grammy in 2005 for best contemporary Blues album, and features Robben Ford, Robert Cray, Vince Gill a.o.

Keb' Mo' crafted a warm, wry, Blues-informed version of Pop Americana that wrestles with contemporary problems like how to pay the mortgage, the high price of coffee, or how to afford a vacation. This is the first ever vinyl release of this great album!

Over the past two decades Keb' Mo' (born Kevin Moore) has cultivated a reputation as a modern master of American roots music through his live and studio performances. His songs have been recorded by the likes of B.B. King, Buddy Guy, the Dixie Chicks, Joe Cocker and Robert Palmer.

And he's no stranger to acting. His acting career began in the early '90s, and in 1998 Keb' Mo' portrayed Robert Johnson in the documentary Can't You Hear the Wind Howl. Other acting jobs include his role as the ghostly bluesman Possum in the 2007 movie Honeydripper. But Keb stresses that his focus will always be on making music and being a communicator, a songwriter.

Featuring Bonnie Raitt & Jackson Browne

Just Like You is the third album by three-time American Grammy Award-winning blues musician Keb' Mo' (born Kevin Moore). Keb'Mo' has been described as a living link to the seminal Delta blues that travelled up the Mississippi River and across the expanse of America. His post-modern Blues style is influenced by many eras and genres, including Folk, Rock, Jazz and Pop.

Originally released in 1996, the album features guest artists Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt, both on the title track Just Like You. Unlike the first album, Just Like You features a more Blues-Pop to Blues Rock feel and more of its tracks feature a full band. The album was produced by John Porter (Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Taj Mahal, a.o.).

In 1997, Just Like You won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album. This is the first ever vinyl issue of this classic album!

"I never set out to be a 'blues guy', but the blues is very powerful and
fuels what I do. The blues puts the 'realness' in it for me." - Keb' Mo'

Three-time Grammy winner and visionary roots-music storyteller,
Keb' Mo', embarks on a new chapter in his career with the
release of BLUESAmericana on Kind of Blue Music. His twelfth full-length
album marks the 20th anniversary of his self-titled debut. But, more
importantly, the album is a signpost of artistic and personal growth.

"I only make albums when I'm inspired to, and these 10 songs come
from a very honest place," Keb' relates. "BLUESAmericana is the
beginning of the next phase of who I am."

Recorded in Nashville, and produced by Keb' Mo' and Casey Wasner,
BLUESAmericana features some of the three-time Grammy winner's
most poignant and joyful songs. Wall Street Journal's "Speakeasy"

Peace... Back By Popular Demand (Pure Pleasure)

Peace ... Back By Popular Demand finds Keb' Mo' covering nine classic protest and peace songs from the 1960s and early '70s, and what is immediately apparent is how well these songs translate forward into the current political milieu. This is an album where the songs themselves are the stars, and Keb' Mo' wisely takes a low-key and measured vocal approach to each of them, letting the messages take hold over light soul-jazz backings, with just enough funk in the horn charts to give the arrangements some push. It's hard to argue with the song selection, but as an interpreter, Mo' seldom makes any of these tracks his own, and behind each stands the ghostly but clear memory of the original version. Obviously Mo' isn't trying to top the Hit Parade with anything here, and his effort to bring these important songs into a new light is laudable. Peace ... Back By Popular Demand is not a major album, but it does have some major things to say, or re-say, in this case, and it serves as a reminder that every era could use (and deserves) some peace.

    Suitcase (Pure Pleasure)

On Suitcase, his eighth studio release, Keb' Mo' (Kevin Moore) reunites with John Porter, the producer of Moore's critically lauded first album, and the result is a pleasant, midtempo suite of songs dedicated to the emotional baggage everyone carries with them as they plow through increasingly complicated lives in search of peace, love, and some measure of personal redemption. Moore covers this ground with a wink and a grin in his voice, though, and Suitcase emerges as a wry commentary on modern life that still manages to sound bright and positive, beginning with the effervescent, sprung reggae rhythm of the opening track, Your Love, one of the best cuts here. Other highlights include the lovely ballad, Still There for Me, a celebration of the little man and his private victories, I'm a Hero, and the soothing, hopeful shuffle that closes things out, Life Is Beautiful. Moore is generally classified as a blues player, but the truth is, aside from his first album, he has actually done very little true blues material, and it is probably more accurate to call what he does blues-informed, but even that ignores the point that he is probably much closer in tone, theme, and feel to James Taylor than he is to Robert Johnson or any other blues figure. He does turn to the blues here, though, on the title track, Suitcase, and morphs it into a wonderfully engaging song about what people bring into a romantic relationship and what they take away in the end, making full use of the 'emotional baggage' connection inherent in the title. It is Keb' Mo' at his best, drawing on his ability to synthesize roots forms like the blues into completely contemporary commentaries on the struggles, travails, and blind faith in personal redemption that accompanies people as they slog their way daily ever deeper into the 21st century.

    Preemptive Strike

DJ Shadow assembled the singles collection Preemptive Strike as a way for American audiences to catch up on his career prior to his debut album, Endtroducing. The 11-track album contains three new interludes and three complete singles that he released on Mo'Wax -- In/Flux, What Does Your Soul Look Like and High Noon -- and a bonus disc, Camel Bobsled Race, which is a megamix of DJ Shadow material by {$DJ Q-Bert}. Given that Endtroducing was a masterpiece of subtlely shifting texture, Preemptive Strike almost seems purposely incoherent, even though the tracks are sequenced chronologically. The jerky flow can make the album a little difficult to asssimilate on first listen, but it soon begins to make sense, even if it never achieves the graceful flow of the album. Several of the selections on Preemptive Strike were available in different forms on Endtroducing -- parts four and one of What Does Your Soul Look Like are in their original forms here, presented along with one and three, and there's the extended overhaul of Organ Donor. All of these are significantly different than the LP versions, and What Does Your Soul Look Like is necessary in its original, half-hour, four-part incarnation. But the key moments are the seminal In/Flux, twhich arguably created trip-hop, and High Noon, the dynamic, fuzz-drenched single that was his first single release since Endtroducing. Those three A-sides are reason enough for any serious fan of the debut to pick up Preemptive Strike, but the B-sides and Camel Bobsled Race are equally intriguing, making the package a nice summation of DJ Shadow's most important singles through the end of 1997.

    Doo-Bop

Miles Davis was on the forefront of many new subgenres of music; he even invented the mix of Jazz and Hip Hop with Doo Bop (1992), a collaboration with producer Easy Mo Bee. Bee was involved in production work for Big Daddy Kane and Notorious B.I.G., which earned him grand stature in Hip Hop circles. Miles chose him for laying down groundworks for entertaining trumpet soloing as only Miles Davis can do. Several tracks on Doo Bop were nished right after the death of Miles Davis. A worthy goodbye to the master of the Jazz trumpet.

    Ice Cream Man

Master P took his music to a new level of quality on Ice Cream Man, which is his first to feature the production stable known as Beats by the Pound (i.e., KLC, Mo B. Dick, DJ Daryl, Carlos Stephens, Ken Franklin, Craig B). Themes of drugs, violence, and ghetto life are prevalent and well exploited. Ice Cream Man was Master P's best-selling album to date, and it created a significant buzz in the hardcore rap underground, setting the stage for his chart-topping follow-up, Ghetto D (1997).

Ranked 133/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Ready to Die is the debut album of American rapper The Notorious B.I.G., released September 13, 1994 on Bad Boy Records. The first release on the label, it features production by record producer and Bad Boy founder Sean Puffy Combs, Easy Mo Bee, Chucky Thompson, DJ Premier, and Lord Finesse, among others. Recording sessions for the album took place during 1993 to 1994 at The Hit Factory and D&D Studios in New York City. The partly autobiographical album tells the story of The Notorious B.I.G.'s experiences as a young criminal, referring to himself as the black Frank White. Ready to Die is his only studio album released during his lifetime; B.I.G. was murdered days prior to the release of his second album Life After Death (1997).

After a 5 year hiatus, Canadian electronic music producers MSTRKRFT (Jessi F. Keeler & Al-P) are back. Driven by distorted drum beats, hauntingly hypnotic synths, and booming cinematic soul, OPERATOR immediately captivates. "It's probably the most acurate reflection of how we work on stage," says Jesse. "We had to be very creative with very few elements. It took time to figure that out".

2011 was the last time we heard from MSTRKRFT with the release of the single "BACK IN THE USSA", following their Juno Award-winning debut album THE LOOKS in 2006. MSTRKRFT have released official remixes for everybody from KATY PERRY and KYLIE MINOGUE to WOLFMOTHER, Justice and Bloc Party. 2009's FIST OF GOD boasted collaborations with the likes of John Legend, Ghostface Killah, E-40, N.O.R.E., Lil' Mo and more as it predicted an eventual crossover between hip-hop and electronic music on the horizon.
