His infectious, high-octane mixture of rock, blues and soul has
made Tommy Castro one of blues and roots music's most popular
artists, earning him a great live following and nearly 275,000
career scans since 1996. His most recent studio release, 2009's
Hard Believer, has scanned over 27,000 units.
A two-time winner of the Blues Music Award (the Grammy of the

over 150 dates a year at clubs, theatres and festivals. Shows
in support of The Devil You Know begin in the Northeast in late
January and will take Tommy and The Painkillers throughout the
U.S. Alligator publicity, radio and social media will be advancing
his dates, setting up interviews and features along the way.
Over the years, Tommy Castro has earned continuing raves
from national publications (Playboy, Billboard, Mojo, Guitar
Player, Blues Revue, Living Blues) and regional press around the
country (San Francisco Chronicle, The Dallas Morning News, The
Washington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer).
Hard Believer was a Top 5 add at FMQB Triple A and Alligator

also promoting the new release to over 600 commercial and
non-commercial blues specialty shows nationwide.

sharp new originals and fresh new versions of songs by J.B.
