In RockMastered by Joe Reagoso from the Original Warner Bros Tapes at Friday Music Studios and at Capitol Records in Hollywood, CA
1970 was truly a successful turning point year for hard rock legends Deep Purple. The band changed directions and after recording a series of well received albums in the late '60s, they returned to the studio with a new Mark II band line-up and recorded the epoch game changer Deep Purple In Rock.
This superstar act now featured the much revered line up of the original guitar hero Ritchie Blackmore, keyboard great Jon Lord, power drummer Ian Paice, and new cohorts, the superlative Roger Glover on bass and soon to be superstar vocalist Ian Gillan. Deep Purple and their masterwork Deep Purple In Rock truly paved the way for a lot of the hard rock and metal bands of today with the music contained on this legendary release.
As with their continuing expansion into the Deep Purple catalog, Friday Music announces the first time 180g Audiophile Vinyl release of the original U.S. version of Deep Purple In Rock. This mega hard rock classic comes with all of the great tunes you remember like Speed King, Child In Time, Hard Lovin Man and Living Wreck.
Like their other fine Deep Purple releases, this classic has been mastered by Joe Reagoso (Deep Purple/Yes/Alice Cooper) from the original Warner Bros. tapes at Friday Music Studios and at Capitol Records in Hollywood, CA.
As another fine feature of this limited edition release, Friday Music has also included the original gatefold LP artwork, not seen since its original Warner Bros. vinyl release in 1970.1. Speed King

Flying Saucer Rock N RollColored Vinyl
Positively praised by Maximum Rock n Roll's Tim Yohannan upon their original release, the first three 7"s from California's garage/punk legends the Groovie Ghoulies have been compiled for the first time ever on "Flying Saucer Rock N Roll." Released to coincide with the group's 30th anniversary, this collection presents the first ten official songs the band ever released - on vinyl for the first time in over 25 years, and for the first time ever on compact disc! The tracks are newly transferred and re-mastered for digital release. In addition, the Green Door Recording Company vaults have turned up three primitive and rare studio bonus tracks, newly discovered and available for the first time ever in all three formats! They were originally dubbed and sold by the band in cassette format in the late 80's! Flying Saucer Rock N Roll captures all the early rawness and energy of the young and eager Kepi as he and his friend Eric just lay down tracks with a drum machine on a Tascam 4 track cassette recorder!!! No laws, no rules, just rock n roll! You can hear the presence of many of the bands that remained life-long influences on the band, from the obvious (Rolling Stones, Ramones) to the more sublime (Billy Bragg, Neil Diamond). These recordings are rare and historic, and mark the first of twelve planned releases which will result in a full catalog re-issue from this entertaining and enduring band. These releases will trace the evolution of Groovie Ghoulies, and this album is the first chapter in the story! A young Kepi Ghoulie, who didn't even have a full band line-up, felt so driven by the D.I.Y. punk and new wave movement, and the need to create his own brand of hi-energy rock n roll, that he recruited his friend to record his crazy vision like a rock n roll Ed Wood! And so away they went! That dream has not stopped to this day! 30 years and close to 20 full length records later, Kepi is still at it, writing, recording, and touring at a relentless and passionate pace.Thousands upon thousands of Groovie Ghoulies records have been sold over the years. Their songs have been placed in B-movies and snow and skateboard videos. The most random and unusual places: that is where you will find Kepi and his 'Ghoulie Family'. Let's relive the magic that provided part of the soundtrack to the lives of so many Southern Californians. It was a scene which grew into part of the East Bay Pop Punk sound, to Asian Man records and now on into the Burger Records generation! Hail Hail Flying Saucer Rock n Roll! Live At The HideoutOn their way to recording Live at the Hideout, Screaming Females lost control of their van. As they slid backwards down the frozen Interstate, they locked eyes with another driver, headed their way. In a blink, a semi-truck smashed into her minivan. Luckily, everyone survived, and the band made it to Chicago, with a sense of urgency that dominated bedroom-sized venue, the Hideout, for 2 nights of sold out shows.
Unlike a cellphone-uploaded YouTube video, "Live at The Hideout" is a lasting document that asserts Screaming Females as one of the best live bands of our time. To ensure a professional representation of their raw live sound, Screaming Females enlisted engineers, Steve Albini and Timothy Powell-who spent those 2 nights in Powell's "Metro Mobile" truck (a control room on wheels), which was parked in a snow-covered alley, behind The Hideout.
This album is not simply raucous-sounding versions of old songs; it is an illustration of how 900+ live shows, and the roads in between, can morph songs into something entirely new. Whether it's a 7-minute improvisation of "Lights Out" (typically a 4-minute track) or, a freak-out during "Boyfriend"-like roaring frontwoman, Marissa Paternoster, crowd surfing with blood running down her chin-the evolution of sound is evident. 9 years in the making, "Live at The Hideout" captures something immediate.

LiveSundazed Music is proud to present a genuine psychedelic landmark: Live by Moby Grape, the first official collection of concert recordings by the legendary San Francisco band at its blazing late-Sixties peak. At that time, in rock's hippest city, there was no other band like the original Grape: Jerry Miller, Skip Spence, Bob Mosley, Peter Lewis and Don Stevenson. Their Columbia debut LP, Moby Grape, issued in June 1967, is still acclaimed as one of the greatest rock albums evera thrilling union of blues, soul, country, surf twang and day-glo garage rock, packed into original killer-pop songwriting. Even as extreme Columbia hype, devastating business hassles and Spence's tragic mental collapse threatened to blow up the band, the Grape continued to make immortal albums, including 1968's Wow and the magnificent Moby Grape '69.
But the records told only half of the tale. Moby Grape, in their prime, were also one of the Bay Area'sand America'sbest stage bands, like the Beatles and Rolling Stones in one, with a breathtaking triple-guitar attack and stunning vocal harmonies.
Live is the long-awaited proof. It features more than an hour of dynamite performances from soundboard and broadcast tapes, including tracks from the Avalon Ballroom in 1967 and the band's complete long-lost set at the Monterey Pop Festival, just a week after Moby Grape came out. There are live versions of the great rare Grape songs Rounder and Looper and five tracks from a famous Dutch radio show featuring the hard-charging '69 lineup of Miller, Mosley, Lewis and Stevenson.
And Live climaxes with the historic first-ever release of Spence's acid-guitar masterpiece Dark Magicnever recorded in the studio by the original band but presented here in an epic 17-minute performance at the Avalon, on New Year's Eve 1966. Moby Grape were the hottest band in town that night, with the whole rock & roll world ahead of them. And they sound like it. These four-decade-old recordings have been spectacularly mastered, in you-are-there fidelity, and this album comes with sumptuous packaging and rare photos, in true Sundazed style, plus liner notes by Rolling Stone writer and Moby Grape authority David Fricke. Live presents, at last, the untold part of Moby Grape's incredible story. It is San Francisco psychedelia at its zenith and the best historical rock release of the year.1. Which Chuck E. Weiss do we talk about here? The one who so impressed blues legends Lightnin'
Hopkins and Willie Dixon as a Denver teenager that they took him out in their road bands? The one
who lived in LA's Tropicana Hotel in the 70s alongside Tom Waits and Rickie Lee Jones, ending up
namechecked on the classic Waits albums Small Change and Nighthawks at the Diner, and in Rickie Lee Jones' hit "Chuck E.'s in Love"? The one who has recorded with Tom Waits, Muddy Waters,
Howlin' Wolf, Roger Miller, Dr. John, Willie Dixon? Whichever Chuck E. Weiss you choose, he's a

Angel Guts: Red ClassroomAngel Guts: Red Classroom is the beginning of Xiu Xiu's descent from grayness into the deepest blackness endurable. It is the sound of Xiu Xiu's death.
This is a bold proposition, even for a band that has never so much pushed the envelope as pulled it (forcefully) away from the line other musicians are willing to toe. And now, in what is unquestionably their darkest hour, Xiu Xiu have lit the envelope on fire and are using it as a torch to light the path ahead.
Having spent the previous four years living in North Carolina, primary songwriter Jamie Stewart relocated to Los Angeles, moving blindly into a neighborhood whose notoriously dangerous reputation was unknown to him.
A park divided among four gangs, a lake routinely dragged for bodies, a building wherein two infant skeletons were recently uncovered -- the aura of his new home bleeds into every pore of the album, each lyric and note bearing traces of its essence: the terrible beauty, the despair, the violence, the ultra humanity, the uncertainty.
I know to a degree I must have romanticized it, Stewart admits, But when it's not safe to go out at night, what else can one?
Romanticized is hardly the word anyone other than Stewart would use. Like its namesake, a Japanese erotic noir film, Angel Guts: Red Classroom is as radical as it is inventive. The subject matter -- racialized sex, double suicide, double penetration, criminality, fear of physical harm -- is unsuitable for the faint of heart. But when the heart has stopped beating, only the soul remains to carry on. And here, Stewart transcribes his without boundaries.
Your face is down alone / On your desk / At the end of the city / You were squashed into / There is no one you love. So begins the album's first verse.
In the wrong hands, such topics could be rendered as far-fetched fantasies. But Stewart's evocative vocals lend his provocative lyrics the balance they need, grounding them in a stark realism that forces us to acknowledge their existence, even confront them (as discomforting as that is).
Unsettling, too, is the music. Working with only analog synths, drum set, and 1970's analog drum machines, Xiu Xiu has never before sounded so focused, so captivating, so intent on delivering a kick to the throat.
Though influences can be cited (Suicide, Kraftwerk, Nico, EinstÜrzende Neubauten), they are ultimately far less relevant than the mark this album will leave on other musicians and music fans from this point forward.
Take Stupid in the Dark -- its tone ominous and pulsing, its harmonies simple and direct, its grip unrelenting. Or Botanica de Los Angeles, a sparse, yet undeniably anthemic merging of bruising drums and bone-rattling bass synths.
Unbearably dark, yet incredibly illuminating, on the John Congleton-produced Angel Guts: Red Classroom Xiu Xiu continues to forge (and at times risk) its reputation as avant-garde pioneers. It is the work of a band unraveling to its core and exposing the boldness within.

Live At The Jazz MillPressed On Red Vinyl
Unearthed tape from a jazz icon. Thanks to a 21-year-old with a tape machine, we can all experience the majesty of guitar legend Barney Kessel at his 1954 best!
Even if you don't know Barney Kessel, you know Barney Kessel -- as a first-string member of the group of LA session musicians nicknamed The Wrecking Crew, Kessel's guitar is heard on just about every LA-based hit you'd care to name from the 60s, including songs by the Monkees and The Beach Boys' legendary Smile LP. And that's Kessel's playing on the famous fight music from the Star Trek TV series. He was regarded as the very best of the session guitarists by just about everyone around, and guitarists everywhere site him as an influence.
But before he played rock and roll, Kessel was a jazz pioneer -- as one of the leading lights of the hard-bop movement, his jazz guitar was legendary, and he was ranked the No. 1 guitarist in Down Beat and Playboy for numerous years. He played with Sonny Rollins and Oscar Peterson (and Chico Marx -- yes, that Chico Marx!) as well as leading his own super-tight group. On albums such as The Poll Winners, Kessel defined the bop style with a jazz power trio, creating a body of work that made him a legend.
Live At The Jazz Mill is a unique artifact -- recorded on a tape recorder by young jazz fan Jack Miller, this live recording catches Barney Kessel in the middle of his run at the Jazz Mill with a great four-piece band. The collection, gleaned from a couple of nights' best recordings, features Kessel's spirited take on such Songbook classics as Get Happy and Stardust, not to mention the Gershwin great Embraceable You. It's pressed on red vinyl and wrapped in a sleeve which captures the unique vibe of jazz graphics of the 1950s. Get with Barney Kessel, and get with a true pioneer of the jazz form!1. Live At Maida Vale BBCTaken from their performance on BBC Radio 1's Rock Show in July 2012, just a month before their bus crash in Bath, Baroness have released a limited run of their Maida Vale BBC sessions via Relapse Records on 12" vinyl with gorgeous artwork by the talented John Baizley.
All four tracks are taken from their 2012 release Yellow and Green and are the carefully selected, anthemic songs 'Take My Bones Away', 'March To The Sea', 'Cocanium' and 'The Line Between'. Disappointingly there is only one track selected from the 'Green' side of the album, however, the quality of the 'Yellow' selection more than makes up for this absence.
Baroness sound at their best when unrefined and not held by the constraints of studio production; the vocals are imperfect and the instrumentals are raw as hell, but there is a certain charm to this and it suits the band immensely.
Of course there is the pang of longing that comes from listening to a live album that makes you wish you were there, however, this quickly abated by the reassurance that you didn't miss a huge live show, as this is a radio performance. Sit back, relax and enjoy the energy and the flaws as one.

Condolences (Black & Red Vinyl)Pressed On Black & Red Colored Vinyl
A grimly glamorous ghoul who first slithered from the cobwebbed shadows of Charlotte, North Carolina, in the early 90s, WEDNESDAY 13 has firmly established himself as the world's premier purveyor of balls-out horror punk insanity. With a vivid and vile imagination that has endeared him to countless fans of riff-driven macabre over the last two decades, he has been one of rock's most prolific protagonists, spreading his credo of grave-robbing rock 'n' roll and Hallowe'en debauchery around the globe and unleashing a seemingly endless stream of blood-spattered albums and EPs.
"All my favorite stuff, like KISS and ALICE COOPER and TWISTED SISTER, those guys set the bar pretty high," he states. "I always wanted to do something in the worlds of those bands. That's the blueprint. It had to be as outrageous and crazy as that and I wanted to be on someone's wall one day and have their parents say 'Oh my god, what is that?' The formula's still there from when I started doing it as a kid and started wanting to be in a band. It's just GI Joe and Dracula!"
After several years of sharpening his creative teeth, WEDNESDAY 13 emerged from the fetid crypt of obscurity with his band FRANKENSTEIN DRAG QUEENS FROM PLANET 13, those masters of snotty schlock rock that released an astonishing five studio albums and six EPs between 1996 and 2002. Always the leader of the revolting pack, WEDNESDAY 13 then became a bona fide international rock star as frontman for the MURDERDOLLS, his collaboration with SLIPKNOT's Joey Jordison. The band took the world by storm, with Europe and the UK, in particular, succumbing to the feral charms of 2002 debut album, »Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls«; a raucous eruption of big tunes and bad attitude that noisily redefined the horror punk genre. After MURDERDOLLS went on an extended hiatus in 2004, WEDNESDAY 13 embarked on a widely lauded solo career that again provided him with an outlet for his relentless outpouring of fiendish musical and lyrical ideas. Albums like »Transylvania 90210« (released by Roadrunner in 2005), »Fang Bang« and »Skeletons« all cemented our pallid hero's reputation as the bastard son of ALICE COOPER and THE MISFITS, while his outlaw country project, BOURBON CROW and one-off glam metal vehicle, GUNFIRE 76 proved that he had sufficient versatility to survive outside the graveyard and abattoir.
MURDERDOLLS reconvened in 2010 for the vicious »Women And Children Last« album and another successful world tour before disappearing once more into the freezing midnight fog, leaving WEDNESDAY to revive his solo career with a few thousand volts of wicked electricity yet more highly praised albums and tours including 2014's scintillating acoustic opus »Undead Unplugged« and the following year's thunderous »Monsters Of The Universe: Come Out & Plague«. However, absolutely nothing that WEDNESDAY has created in the past has even touched upon the horrifying potency and allure of his brand new studio album, »Condolences«.
Frustrated with the arduous process of releasing his own music, our favorite black-hearted freak has thrown himself and his music into a whirling maelstrom of reinvention. The result is not just the heaviest and most authentically disturbing record of the great man's career but also a huge creative leap forward, neatly encapsulated by the new album's simple and direct title.
"It's more of a serious WEDNESDAY 13 record, I guess," he says. "The campiness has gone and it's taken a darker vibe. It's definitely not in the camp, sleazy world anymore. The band is visually stronger and that's taken things to a new level. Normally my album titles are parodies of something, like »Women And Children Last«, that's a VAN HALEN album title gone wrong! (laughs) So I wanted to make sure that this record came across as a brand new version of WEDNESDAY 13."
In musical terms, »Condolences« showcases WEDNESDAY's growing obsession with the world of heavy metal and its endless possibilities for exploring tales of horror and violence. Produced by renowned studio guru Zeuss, new songs like anthemic first single 'What The Night Brings' and the pile-driving 'Blood Sick' still exhibit a dash of B-movie weirdness and are full of WEDNESDAY's trademark twisted lyrics, but where previous albums were rooted in the worlds of punk rock and glam metal, »Condolences« is a full-on modern metal record with gigantic balls and the attitude to match. From the glowering menace of 'Good Riddance' to the grandiose hellishness of the album's 7-minute title track, it's living, breathing, murdering proof that the WEDNESDAY 13 of 2017 means business. And business is mean.
"The punk rock vibe has left the building and it's become a full-on metal vibe," WEDNESDAY agrees. "I've been the horror-punk guy for years, but this is horror metal. It's just evolution. Over the last ten years, I've become a metalhead for the most part. That second MURDERDOLLS record just amped the whole thing up, and the guys in the band have influenced me with so much other stuff. It's not just me with my SEX PISTOLS, ALICE COOPER and RAMONES records anymore! (laughs) Now I've got my band incorporating everything from death metal to rock'n'roll. It's all across the boards. There are no rules. We can do whatever we want, whatever fits."
Manifestly the strongest, heaviest and most individual album of his lengthy career, »Condolences« promises to push WEDNESDAY 13 into heavy music's upper echelons once again. With determined plans to tour relentlessly in support of the new record, the future is looking dark, dangerous, exhilarating and wildly, unapologetically theatrical.
"It's non-stop touring once the record comes out," WEDNESDAY concludes. "We just did our first video for 'What The Night Brings' and the visuals are really cool. I've incorporated a lot of stuff I've been doing live, like this devil character I've been transforming into at shows, and that got worked in. We're taking the music, the imagery and the entire stage show up a level. It's gonna be a full-on theatrical stage production, so I'll be busy as fuck on stage! I've been doing this shit for so many years, I started thinking 'How can I make this fun again?' (laughs)"1. Last Rites

Live At Royal Albert Hall 1971From their earliest days as 12-string-wielding folk-rockers, to the thrilling psychedelic excursions of their raga-rock period to their 1968 birthing of country-rock, the Byrds were always accorded a heros welcome in England. What better place to record founding Byrds member/guitarist/singer Roger McGuinns new version of the bandfeaturing fretboard ace Clarence White, bassist Skip Battin and drummer Gene Parsonsthan Londons Royal Albert Hall!
Rescued from a tape that had sat forgotten in McGuinns climatized garage for decades, this stellar 1971 set, featuring live versions of the current bands studio faves (Lover of the Bayou, Chestnut Mare) as well as adventurous reworkings of Byrds classics (Mr. Tambourine Man, My Back Pages, Eight Miles High,So You Want to Be a RocknRoll Star) might be the most accurate and stirring live performance yet of the legendary Los Angeles combo. By 1971, the guitar interplay of McGuinn andWhite had become a jaw-dropping highlight of their live performances,as had their stripped down, acoustic mini-set and peerless four-part vocal harmonies.Lover of the Bayou

Black Rose: A Rock LegendRecorded in 1979 as a follow-up to their mega successful Live And Dangerous, Phil Lynott, Scott Gorham, Brian Downey and new guitar sensation Gary Moore forged ahead once again with their trademark hard rock sound and continued their assault on audiences worldwide with Black Rose: A Rock Legend.
With the powerful drum entrance of Brian Downey, the opener Do Anything You Want To kicks the album into full gear. Featuring the dual lead guitars of Scott Gorham and Gary Moore, known for creating some of the finest and most familiar guitar riffs in music history, they continue their legendary style with this metal anthem. Phil Lynott's vocal and bass attack notched up another career defining song as well, which served the band well for years and has truly been one of their most revered tunes.
Seven more incredible performances from these rock and roll warriors continue to thrill the listener including more Phil Lynott hard rock classics like Waiting For An Alibi and the stellar With Love. More rockers flow like the funk infused Got To Give It Up and the punk metal feel of Toughest Street In Town. Even the heartwarming ballad My Sarah, which showcases a softer side of Lynott's writing and vocal ability, truly made this album a fan favorite for years to come. The incredible album closer Rosin Dubh (Black Rose) A Rock Legend truly emphasizes the band's love for their homeland of Ireland and pays tribute to their heritage in a hard rock Celtic performance never to be duplicated on wax ever again.
Tragically, we lost the musical genius Phil Lynott in 1986 and more recently the passing of guitar legend Gary Moore. This was their first collaboration together as members of Thin Lizzy, and with the impeccable musicianship of Scott Gorham and Brian Downey all delivering the goods, Black Rose: A Rock Legend is considered one of their greatest achievements in their enduring album catalog.
Mastered impeccably from the original Warner Music tapes by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios and Capitol Records in Hollywood with Ron McMaster, Friday Music is very honored and enthusiastic to welcome back the much heralded Thin Lizzy classic Black Rose: A Rock Legend for the first time on 180g audiophile vinyl in North America.
To make this more of a treasure for your limited edition Thin Lizzy collection, Friday is also including a first time gatefold cover which features the original album cover art as well as the original photos and artwork included in the album inner sleeve not seen in years. As usual, they will include a poly sleeve to protect your hard rockin' audiophile vinyl and a poly bag to preserve your very cool album cover.1. Do Anything You Want To

REDD-SUN-5296xDick Dale And His Del-Tones
Rock Out With Dick Dale And His Del-Tones (Live At Ciro's)Prior to his emergence as a recording artist, surf guitar king Dick Dale first carved out his legend as a live performer. The artist's incendiary early shows in front of raucous surfer crowds at Balboa Beach's Rendezvous Ballroom established Dale as a regional sensation, and in the process helped to put surf music on the map. After he became an international star, Dale and his longstanding band the Del-Tones maintained the energy and innovation of their early performances, expanding their reputation as a peerless live act.
In 1965, Dale captured the infectious spirit of his live shows with this album, recorded on stage at the fabled Hollywood nightclub Ciro's. This vintage LP offers a bracing snapshot of the trailblazing guitar hero at his string-shredding best, tearing into his classic Let's Go Trippin', and applying his head-spinning instrumental fire to such diverse tunes as Henry Mancini's Peter Gunn, Lee Hazlewood's Angry Generation and Bob Dylan's Blowin' in the Wind. He also unveils his underrated vocal skills on riveting readings of Eddie Cochran's Summertime Blues, Barrett Strong's Money and Ray Charles' What'd I Say.
Out of print on vinyl for decades, the Sundazed edition of Rock Out with Dick Dale and His Del-Tones (Live at Ciro's) has been mastered from the original analog tapes and pressed on high-quality 180-gram vinyl, with completely restored original cover art.1. Peter Gun

Master Mix: Red Hot + Arthur RussellMaster Mix' embodies the genre-defying, experimental spirit that defined Russell's work. Living in the East Village from the '70s until his untimely death in 1992 at age 40 from AIDS-related causes, Russell moved effortlessly between the city's various music scenes, recording disco beats alongside Nicky Siano one night, and the next, crafting slow, haunting tracks in his apartment with his cello and idiosyncratic warbling voice. The New Yorker called his work "stranded between lands real and imagined: the street and the cornfield; the soft bohemian New York and the hard Studio 54 New York; the cheery bold strokes of pop and the liberating possibilities of abstract art." Through his collaborations, he earned the admiration of artists like Allen Ginsberg, David Byrne and Philip Glass, who said of Russell's music: "It does not submit to formula, but subverts the formula." The record features 26 tracks by more than 20 artists, including Hot Chip, Sufjan Stevens, Phosphorescent, Blood Orange, The Autumn Defense and Lonnie Holley, paying homage to Russell's boundless creativity and wide-ranging work, which swerved from electronic dance to folk to classical and resulted in what NPR hails as "catchy and hypnotic records that were far ahead of their time."1. Davila 666 - Live At Third Man 3-6-11Live recording of Puerto Rican rock and rollers Davila 666's performance at Third Man Records in Nashville, TN on 3/06/11. Produced by Jack White and recorded live direct to analog tape. Black vinyl in plain black sleeve.
The Third Man Live records are a continuous series of full-length albums recorded in their Blue Room which is arguably the only current venue in the world where a band can record a live set direct-to-tape in front of a paying audience. These shows are recorded onto one-inch 8-track tape (usually by Grammy Award-winning engineer Vance Powell) in front of lucky-to-get-a-ticket crowds. The 8-track master is mixed to 2-track tape at Third Man Studio and that tape is then used to cut the vinyl master, thus ensuring the recording remains in the analog domain the entire time and is never transferred to a digital signal. With limited-edition, split-color, black-and-blue vinyl versions of the LP only available to attendees of the show (and on rare occasions, to Vault members for extra-special releases), the black vinyl versions of the show are of unlimited pressings. At this time the Third Man Live series is only available on vinyl and not any other format.
Describing themselves as like Menudo on drugs, San Juan, Puerto Rico's Davila 666 combine Stooges-like garage rock fire with the occasional sugary pop melodies. The seven, not six surprisingly, Davilas include singer/tambourine player Sir Charles, multi-instrumentalist AJ, guitarists/vocalists Miss Davila and Johnny Otis, drummer/guitarist/vocalist San Pablo, percussionist/vocalist Panda and guitarist/drummer/vocalist Gigi. Their theatrical live show which includes themes, props, costumes, and dancers, won them fans in the States when they toured with the Black Lips and the King Khan & BBQ Show.
Davila 666's self-titled U.S. debut was released in the summer of 2008 via In the Red Records. After a somewhat quiet year in 2009, the band came back strong in 2010, releasing an EP on Robs House Records and singles on Norton (covering the Rolling Stones' She's a Rainbow) and Vice (a split with the Dirtbombs). In 2011 the band's second album, Tan Bajo, hit the shelves.1. Si Me Vez
