    Pleasure To Kill

Remastered Versions By Andy Pearce And Overseen By Mille Petrozza

    Featuring New Art

Packed With Rare Photos And Memorabilia And Notes By Mille And Malcolm Dome (Metal Hammer) Talking About The Creation Of The Albums

Contains Kreator's Flag Of Hate EP

Pleasure To Kill, the second studio album by Kreator, was released in November 1986 originally by Noise Records. The lyrical themes follow those found on their first album. Unleashed in 1986 and still considered the band's first classic album, Pleasure to Kill raised the bar with more diversity of tempos and greater attention to technical execution while losing nothing in terms of ferocity or speed. The band closed out the year with the Flag of Hate EP (named after a re-recorded version of their earliest hit) which is included on this version. Many death metal bands cite this album as an influence. Pleasure To Kill is widely considered a thrash classic. It is also considered a landmark album in the history of thrash metal along with Master of Puppets by Metallica, Reign In Blood by Slayer and Darkness Descends by Dark Angel, all released in 1986.

Formed in Essen, Germany in 1982, Kreator is arguably the most influential and successful European thrash metal band ever, like many of their European speed metal brethren, Kreator fused Metallica's thrash innovations with Venom's proto-black metal imagery. Kreator has been referred to as one of the Big 4 of Teutonic thrash metal, and they are often credited with helping pioneer death metal and black metal by containing several elements of what was to become those genres. The band has achieved worldwide sales of over two million units for combined sales of all their albums, making them one of the best-selling German thrash metal bands of all time. Kreator's style has changed several times over the years, from a Venom-inspired speed metal sound, later moving into thrash metal, and including a period of transitioning from thrash to industrial metal and gothic metal throughout the 1990s. In the early 2000s, Kreator returned to their classic thrash sound, which has continued to the present.

Remastered Versions By Andy Pearce And Overseen By Mille Petrozza

Contains Two Of The Band's Original Demos (Blitzkrieg [1983] & The Other End Of The World [1984]) From When They Were Still Known As Tormentor

Endless Pain was released in October 1985 by Noise Records. It was a savage debut; its crude thrashing quickly had the underground metal world abuzz with excitement. This album has been known to be viewed as a pivotal album to black metal bands that enjoy thrash metal elements, ultimately creating a thrash-influenced black metal sound. This version also contains the band's original demos when they were still known as Tormentor, one fittingly named Blitzkrieg (1983), and the other End of the World (1984). These fell into the hands of thousands of heavy metal fans engaging in the era's bustling underground tape-trading network. Positive word of mouth soon attracted the attention of Germany's own metal start-up, Noise Records, which signed the newly re-christened Kreator to a deal. This album presented in LP format contains remastered versions by Andy Pearce and overseen by Mille Petrozza. New art has been created packed with rare photos and memorabilia and notes by Mille and Malcolm Dome (Metal Hammer) talking about the creation of the albums.

1987's Terrible Certainty did nothing to dent the perception that Kreator was one of the genre's best bands, and for once, Petrozza had a little time to work out the songs beforehand. Kreator beefed up to a quartet once again with the addition of guitarist Jörge Trebziatowski. This version also contains the Out of the Dark... Into the Light EP which was originally released in 1988. The live tracks were recorded at Dynamo Club, Eindhoven, Netherlands, in 1988.

Packed With Rare Photos And Memorabilia And Notes By Mille And Malcolm Dome (Metal Hammer) Talking About The Creation Of The Albums

Contains A Show Recorded In Berlin In 1990 That Showcases The Band In Full Flight

The fourth album by Kreator, Extreme Aggression, was released in 1989. This album introduced many American fans to Kreator, primarily through heavy rotation of the Betrayer music video on MTV's Headbangers Ball, which was partly shot at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. On Extreme Aggression, Kreator closes the '80s by delivering their final thrash triumph with the most hallowed Kreator line-up joining forces once again to follow up the spectacular Terrible Certainty. The results are fierce and noisy on this 1989 Epic release. Extreme Aggression quickly became their biggest seller yet, and the subsequent North American tour with Suicidal Tendencies introduced the band to many new friends. This version contains a show recorded in Berlin in 1990 that showcases the band in full flight.

    Omen Of Disease

Brought forth in 1998, BROKEN HOPE was the brainchild of guitarist/chief-lyricist-songwriter, Jeremy Wagner. Though Jeremy was still attending High School, his passion and drive for bringing the band out of obscurity was apparent from the start. In 1989 and 1990, BROKEN HOPE recorded two demo tapes which landed them a deal with the underground label, Grind Core records. In 1991, BROKEN HOPE spewed forth their debut album, Swamped In Gore, which subsequently launched the band out of the underground and into the mainstream. Swamped In Gore was not only ahead of its time musically but it was also the first digitally-recorded death-metal album yet again showing the forward thinking of the then fledgling act.

By 1993, BROKEN HOPE broke away from their first record label and quickly was immediately approached by Metal Blade Records. BROKEN HOPE released four albums with Metal Blade Records: The Bowels of Repugnance, Repulsive Conception, Loathing, and the re-release of Swamped In Gore. 1995's Repulsive Conception, reached CMJ New Music Monthly's Metal Top 25 chart, as did the follow-up, 1997's Loathing.

In 2013, BROKEN HOPE put pen to paper and signed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records. Their sixth album, OMEN of DISEASE, is slated for an October 2013 release. The album features new members, Damian Leski (vocals), Mike Micezek (drums), and Chuck Wepfer (lead guitar). Trevor Strnad of THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER makes a guest appearance on backing vocals for the track, "Rendered Into Lard." Omen of Disease also features the artwork and return of BROKEN HOPES's former (and brilliant) album cover artist, Wes Benscoter (SLAYER, KREATOR, MORTICIAN plus many more).

BROKEN HOPE has absolutely delivered their sickest, most ferocious creation to date with Omen of Disease and they're just getting started.

    Gods Of Violence

Gods of Violence is the upcoming fourteenth studio album by the German thrash metal band Kreator, set for release via Nuclear Blast. It will be the band's first studio album since Phantom Antichrist (2012), marking the longest gap between two studio albums in their career.

Kreator mastermind Mille Petrozza comments: Gods Of Violence was the first song I wrote for this album and it stuck to me as the title track. It contains everything KREATOR is known for and it will blow your minds. Promise! Regarding the artwork Petrozza adds: The cover is a perfect reflection of my lyrical vision. I think this is Jan Meininghaus' best work so far.

In War And Pieces (Awaiting Repress)

    Limited Edition in Bloodred Vinyl

This German black metal/thrash trio was formed in 1983 by Tom Angelripper (bass, vocals), Aggressor (vocals, guitar) and Chris Witchhunter (drums), drawing inspiration from bands such as Motrhead, Anvil and Venom. Aggressor was replaced by the similarly pseudonymous Grave Violator on the agenda-setting debut EP, In The Sign Of Evil. By the time Obsessed By Cruelty emerged in 1986, Grave Violator had been replaced by Destructor. The latter was in turn replaced by Frank `Blackfire` Gosdzik on 1987`s Expurse Of Sodomy EP. Persecution Mania followed in the same year and marked a vast improvement over their debut, though lyrics had not moved on from obsessions with war, bloodlust and the black arts. Produced by Harris Johns, it had a crisp and powerful sound and was to become the band`s bestselling release.

Sodom toured Europe in 1988 with Whiplash and recorded Mortal Way Of Live, the first ever double live thrash album. Agent Orange followed in 1989 and they were supported by Sepultura on a European tour to help promote it. Michael Hoffman was recruited as the new guitarist when Blackfire left for Kreator in 1990, but was in turn replaced by Andy Brings on 1992`s Tapping The Vein. Following the release of this album long-time drummer Witchhunter was replaced by Atomic Steif. Further personnel changes included yet another guitar players, Strahli, on 1995`s Masquerade In Blood. The band`s first album for the Gun label, 1997`s `Til Death Do Us Unite, saw Angelripper joined by Bernemann (guitar) and Bobby Schottkowski (drums). The band continued to release a steady flow of albums during the late 90s and into the new millennium.

After celebrating 25 years in 2016 showcasing a majority of older material, Roadburn Live displays songs mainly from the newer and more progressive part of Enslaved's career, with songs from "In Times", "Riitiir", "Isa", "Below the Lights" and "Monumension". The album features the guest appearances of Einar Selvik (Wardruna), Aðalbjörn Tryggvason (Sólstafir), Per Wiberg (Opeth, Candlemass); and Menno Gootjes (Focus) on Immigrant Song, the first cover song by Enslaved to ever appear on a record.

Grutle Kjellson comments on the album: I'm generally not a huge fan of live albums, I like to be present at a show, to grasp the energy of the band and to witness the, sometimes, magical symbiosis that occurs between the band and the audience. I am, however, a huge fan of the Roadburn Festival! I consider this to be my all time favorite, both as a musician and as a guest. Therefore; if ever Enslaved were to release a live album, it had to be from a Roadburn show! I hope you will enjoy this piece of wax as much as we had recording it!

Stylistically rooted in 1980s thrash metal the band have stated influences include acts such as Nuclear Assault, Kreator, Agent Steel, Sodom, old Slayer, and early Megadeth. Gama Bomb's lyrics often refer to the horror, action and science fiction movies, cartoons and computer games of the 1980s, as well as paying tribute to many classic heavy metal themes. The band is known for injecting their own sense of humor into their lyrics, with bizarre song concepts which lampoon classic thrash metal topics. Recurrent themes to be found in Gama Bomb songs are cannibalism, war, zombies, human sacrifice, ghosts and murder, but also racism and global warming.

Kreator's album, Enemy Of God, contains every bit of the vicious edge, acidic lyric, and undeniably strong songwriting skills that have earned them endless praise from around the world. As a new generation of metal bands continue their rise in America (Lamb Of God, Shadows Fall, etc.) the enduring influence of Kreator and their peers has never been more astoundingly clear. Deep Tracts Of Hell (Out of Stock)

Norway's Aura Noir was formed in 1993 by Aggressor & Apollyon in pursuit of a more thrash-based form of black metal than much of what was coming out at the time particularly in their homeland - citing bands such as Slayer, Sodom & Kreator as inspirations along with purveyors of the scene such as Venom, for a dirtier, stripped down, violent black/thrash metal sound. Their first official release was the 'Dreams Like Deserts' EP on Hot Records in 1994, and from
there-on the band has become a cult act.
