    Creatures Of The Night

Celebrating four decades of decibels, KISS, Mercury Records and UMe proudly announce reissuing the legendary KISS albums on 180g audiophile vinyl
starting in 2014. Remastered to high definition 192kHz/24-bit audio for maximum fidelity, these albums have never sounded so amazing and now
vinyl collectors will get what they've been demanding. All posters, sleeve art, stickers, etc that appeared in the original LP release where applicable have
been faithfully reproduced for the KISS Army.

By 1982's Creatures of the Night, Kiss had finally ditched their plans of becoming respectable artists (starting with 1979's Dynasty) and had come to the realization that they were a loud, no-holds-barred heavy metal band. Easily their best since 1977's Love Gun, Creatures of the Night contains very little filler and sounds as if Kiss had been reborn (it also includes one of the heaviest drum sounds ever captured in the studio by any rock band). The band is inspired and enthusiastic throughout, especially on such rockers as the opening title track, Killer, War Machine, Saint and Sinner, and one of their great anthems, I Love It Loud. Also included is one of Kiss' better ballads, I Still Love You (later featured on 1996's Unplugged set), as well as Rock and Roll Hell, a song written about Ace Frehley, who would soon officially make his resignation from the band public. Guitarist Vinnie Vincent (real name: Vinnie Cusano) handles guitar duties here and was eventually named as Frehley's replacement, playing on the ensuing tour. Although Creatures of the Night deserved to be the album that put Kiss back on top of the charts, it performed below expectations (topping out at number 45), as did its tour. Hence, the album is one of Kiss' most underrated. It didn't take a genius to figure out that the makeup had grown stale and was now getting in the way of their music. The time had finally come for the band to unmask.

    Dressed To Kill

By the release of their third album, 1975's Dressed to Kill, Kiss were fast becoming America's top rock concert attraction, yet their record sales up to this point did not reflect their ticket sales. Casablanca label head Neil Bogart decided to take matters into his own hands, and produced the new record along with the band. The result is more vibrant sounding than its predecessor, 1974's sludgefest Hotter Than Hell, and the songs have more of an obvious pop edge to them. The best-known song on the album by far is the party anthem Rock and Roll All Nite, but it was the track C'Mon and Love Me that became a regional hit in the Detroit area, giving the band their first taste of radio success. Since the band was on the road for a year straight, songs such as Room Service and Ladies in Waiting dealt with life on the road (i.e., groupies), and a pair of songs were reworked from Kiss' precursor band, Wicked Lester (Love Her All I Can and She). With Dressed to Kill's Top 40 showing on the Billboard charts, the stage was now set for Kiss' big commercial breakthrough with their next release.

    Kiss

Kiss' 1974 self-titled debut is one of hard rock's all-time classic studio recordings. Kiss is chock full of their best and most renowned compositions, containing elements of Rolling Stones/New York Dolls party-hearty rock & roll, Beatles tunefulness, and Sabbath/Zep heavy metal, and wisely recorded primal and raw by producers Richie Wise and Kenny Kerner (of Gladys Knight fame). Main songwriters Stanley and Simmons each had a knack for coming up with killer melodies and riffs, as evidenced by Nothin' to Lose and Deuce (by Simmons), Firehouse and Black Diamond (by Stanley), as well as Strutter and 100,000 Years (collaborations by the two). Also included is the Ace Frehley alcohol anthem Cold Gin, Let Me Know (a song that Stanley played for Simmons upon their very first meeting, then titled Sunday Driver), and one of Kiss' few instrumentals: the groovy Love Theme from Kiss (penned by the entire band). The only weak track is a tacky cover of the 1959 Bobby Rydell hit Kissin' Time, which was added to subsequent pressings of the album to tie in with a Kissing Contest promotion the band was involved in at the time. Along with 1976's Destroyer, Kiss' self-titled debut is their finest studio album, and has only improved over the years.

    Kiss Kiss Kill Kill

Their third release finds the band perfectly poised between the raw punk energy of their 2004 debut, Hell Yeah, and the brash, singalong pop of 2006's Bring It On. While never dropping their trademark sexy, horror flick flair, Kiss Kiss Kill Kill brings back the rawness and immediacy that's made them the premier touring band in the scene. They just finished two tours with the Dropkick Murphys and a tour with Danzig, have shared the stage with the likes of Rancid and The Offspring, and have been on several Warped Tour runs. RIYL: Nekromantix, Rev. Horton Heat, Siouxsie And The Banshees, X, Stray Cats, surf, punk, ska, and good ol' rock 'n' roll.

    Anxiety's Kiss

Founded by Louisville musician Ryan Patterson and including Kayhan Vaziri and Carter Wilson, power trio Coliseum have grown to become one of today's quintessential contemporary punk bands. Successfully melding progressive musicianship, hardcore fervor, and vital social awareness into one constantly evolving artistic vision.

Over the last decade Coliseum have released music on a host of labels including; Temporary Residence, Relapse, Level Plane, Auxiliary (Ryan's own label), and Deathwish.

"Anxiety's Kiss" is the new album from Coliseum, recorded at The Magpie Cage by producer/engineer J. Robbins (Jawbox, Burning Airlines). "Anxiety's Kiss" is a hook-laden maturation of the Coliseum sound. Nods to their early D-Beat leanings are there, but it is their willingness to embrace Post-Punk melody and explore the space between notes that make "Anxiety's Kiss" so alluring. Confidently growing within the punk world, without ever leaving it behind.

"We Are The Water" kicks things off with a synth-driven stomp while lyrically serving as a poignant social awakening and call for human empathy. Amidst a tangle and twang of melody, "Course Correction" and "Wrong/Goodbye" then emerge to tackle the ripe subjects of class division and police brutality. "Drums & Amplifiers" picks up pace, taking on those who reflect on their punk past rather than absorb the spirit that still charges the air around us. It's not all social and subcultural commentary though. The dizzying "Dark Light Of Seduction" and sultry "Sharp Fangs, Pale Flesh" (where J. Robbins guests performing the BulBul Tarang) are darkly provocative narratives about the power of lust and love. In soul and tone, they both interject an emotional underbelly to it all. Robbins also adds bass on "Comedown", an industrial-tinged romp led by Vaziri's baritone guitar and Wilson's booming toms. Coincidentally, it is also the first Coliseum song ever recorded to not feature Patterson on guitar. "Sunlight in a Snowstorm" is the band at their most melodic, with a snow-covered New York City as its lyrical backdrop. The high beam lit, cinematic noir of "Driver at Dusk" and infectious, fuzzed-out "Escape Yr Skull" lastly descend to close out the album. A flawless, yin and yang pairing that is Coliseum at the peak of their experimental and anthemic powers.

The Cure followed the breakthrough success of The Head on the Door in 1986 with the compilation Standing on a Beach: The Singles. Standing on a Beach reached number four in the U.K., but more importantly it established the band as a major cult act in the U.S.; the album peaked at number 48 and went gold within a year. In short, Standing on a Beach set the stage for 1987's double album Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me. The album was eclectic but it was a hit, spawning four hit singles in the U.K. (Why Can't I Be You, Catch, Just Like Heaven, Hot Hot Hot!!!) and the group's first American Top 40 hit, Just Like Heaven. Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me was more accessible and ambitious than any of the Cure's previous albums, the double album Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me finds Robert Smith expanding his pop vocabulary by tentatively adding bigger guitars, the occasional horn section, lite-funk rhythms, and string sections

    Kiss You Kidnapped Charabanc

Nikki Sudden's collaboration with former Birthday
Party guitarist Rowland S. Howard peaked with Kiss You
Kidnapped Charabanc, the duo's 1987 first and only full
length. Howard's sinister guitar flourishes and malevolent
lyrical motifs lead Sudden's paisley-clad disposition into
murkier waters, drudging the same sludge inhabited by
The Gun Club and Nick Cave's Bad Seeds. Unhinged slide
guitars, noise and primal drumming draw up demented
pacts forged in the blood of Southern Gothic swamp
stomp and Depression-era devotionals-tales of lovers and
demons split between the vocal transmissions of the two
minds behind this goth-steeped, blues-punk essential.

In founding Swell Maps, the post-punk prefacing
Birmingham art-snots, Nikki Sudden and his drumming
brother Epic Soundtracks charted new territory for racket
and corrosive guitar. But after folding Swell Maps at the
dawn of the '80s, Nikki Sudden plowed through another
decade's worth of terrifically fertile ground. Drawing on
his devotion to the Rolling Stones and T. Rex-alongside
guitarist Dave Kusworth as Jacobites, plus a cheekily named
cohort of British sidemen-Nikki Sudden cut a string of
raw, inspired rock 'n' roll records, etched with double-edged travel melancholia and hard-bitten punk dejection.

What makes a record a true cult classic? First, it
must be released to a modicum of critical acclaim but zero commercial success. Second, in
almost all cases the artists behind the release
have to disappear immediately into obscurity.
And third, over the course of decades, a dedicated core of record collectors, critics and
true believers must spread the word about
the album in question. Well, by those standards, New York band Hackamore Brick's 1970 LP One
Kiss Leads to Another is the cult classic to end all cult classics (the
only recent contenders might be Rodriguez's albums Cold Fact and
Coming from Reality). Released on the bubblegum-centric Kama Sutra
label to positive reactions from critics ranging from Richard Meltzer to
Lenny Kaye, One Kiss sounded very different from anything else on the
label or, for that matter, anything else on the 1970 music scene; often
cited as the first post-Velvet Underground album, it does indeed provoke comparison's to VU's third, self-titled record and Loaded as well
as other descendants like the Modern Lovers and Television. But the
country-ish harmonies of vocalists Tommy Moonlight and Chick Newman lend the record a sound not unlike any number of current alternative "beard rock" bands plying their wares, and the discursive lyrics
    recall the Kinks.

In short, One Kiss Leads to Another passes the fourth
and hardest test of cult classic-dom, which is to remain relevant into
the present, even though Moonlight and Newman didn't record another
note together as Hackamore Brick until 2009. Real Gone Music is proud
to present this remarkable record on both vinyl and CD, with a bonus
track, the single side "Searchin'," appearing on both formats. Liner notes by Tony Rettman featuring quotes from Tommy Moonlight and pictures from the Hackamore

    Kiss Of The Damned Soundtrack

Includes A 18x24 Award Winning Poster From
    The Film

Kiss Of The Damned is truly exciting as both an erotic tone poem and a genuinely thrilling proto-horror drama. Toss in a breathtaking
score from Steven Hufsteter (and great source music), and you have a film that is as much a body blow to the senses as it is a
    true blue horror film.
    - Criterion Cast

One of the most memorable aspects of KISS OF THE DAMNED is perhaps the least-likely place of all - it's killer soundtrack. Steven
Hufsteter's score for the film is excellent: a love letter to the synth of many of the greatest horror films from the 70's.

    - Cinema Slasher

XAN CASSAVETES' acclaimed erotic Euro style vampire tale KISS OF THE DAMNED, features one of the
most talked about soundtracks in recent years...With it's French female vampires, timeless mansions and dirty
clubs, KOTD provides the ultimate framework for an amazing, eclectic soundtrack. Dominating the film's sound
are original compositions by guitar virtuoso STEVEN HUFSTETER (REPO MAN, MACHETE), with lush
MORRICONE infused love themes giving way to dark INTENSE SYNTH ODYSSEYS breaking into gorgeous
BAROQUE pieces, and ripping guitar showdowns, all fit for the most hardcore vampire and soundtrack lovers.

Hufsteter's waves of decadent, sonic tracks are complimented by a few of KOTD'S hand picked needle drops,
courtesy of KOTD Music Supervisor DINA JUNTILA including the Wiccatastic sounds of psychedelic French
high priestess BRIGITTE FONTAINE and London's dark contemporaty chanteuse JANE WEAVER. Add the
sting of German punk rock heroes DER FLUCH and a sensuous and epic borrowed track from JEAN ROLLIN's
SHIVER OF A VAMPIRE, by ACANTHUS and you have a collective audial experience that will surely become
a cult classic and a must have for every vinyl collector.

One Kiss Ends It All (On Sale)

In their decade-plus existence, Saturday Looks Good To Me has never taken a typical path: endless line-up changes, shifts in sound from lo-fi 60's pop to experimental noise rock, a twisting discography heavy on one-off singles and bizarre package tours with afrobeat and freakfolk bands.

In 2012, bandleader and songwriter Fred Thomas returned with a fresh new line-up, including new vocalists Carol Catherine and Amber Fellows, but also with old friends from previous SLGTM incarnations like bassist Scott DeRoche and drummer Ryan Howard showing up for the fun.

The band's fifth proper album, One Kiss Ends It All, came together following the group's first tour after getting back in action, however the four years since their last full-length weren't spent cultivating this new batch of songs.

Instead, a spontaneous and breezy vibe flows through the album's 12 selections, drawing on the reference points of 60's pop and early indie rock, all filtered through the band's skewed pop lens.

Thomas' songs are always bittersweet, but short, uptempo rockers like Invisible Friend and Break In recall the open-hearted running melodicism of New Zealand kiwi-pop while more groove-oriented numbers like Polar Bear or Sunglasses meld electronic elements with the same sharp-edged attitude of the first Strokes album.

Even former SLGTM lead vocalist Betty Barnes (who now lives in Sweden) sings lead on two tracks: the doo-wop piano lament of Negative Space and the spare indie rock road trip The Ever-present New Times Condition.

Saturday Looks Good To Me's albums in the early 2000's (All Your Summer Songs, Every Night) predicted the reverb-saturated production and girl-group revisitations that indie rock would embrace several years down the road.

One Kiss Ends It All expands on those early lo-fi marvels and feels more like a revelation than a continuance.

With more sophisticated arrangements and melodies more direct and engaging than anything the band has ever done, the album feels like re-telling the details of a dream minutes after waking. Something new colliding with something that shouldn't make sense in a beautifully strange collage. And always more details hidden in the corners.

    1000 Kisses

1000 Kisses is the third studio album by Patty Griffin. It was originally released in 2002, and is now available on vinyl for the first time.

After a drought of four years, which saw Patty's expected 2000 release, Silver Bell, remain shelved with the absorption of her former label, this would be the first of her albums to be released by new label, ATO. The album was recorded and co-produced with long-time guitarist and band leader, Doug Lancio, in the basement studio of his Nashville home, with the occasional cough or footfall audible in the background. The stripped down music has a close and intimate feel, focusing mainly on the emotions within her voice and establishing her as one of the finest songwriters recording today. The album would receive a Grammy nomination.

Kissing To Be Clever is the debut album by Culture Club. Originally released in 1982, it immediately put the band on the musical map. Turning the flamboyant Boy George into a star, the Soulful Pop outing incorporated elements of Pop, Rock, New Wave, Dance and Caribbean rhythms and sprouted several international hit songs.

Do You Really Want To Hurt Me hit the #1 spot in several countries and turned out to be a song that resonates to this day with its universal feel of heart ache. All in all, this set is a highlight of 80s Pop music, that set the stage for one of the decade's most loved and oft-remembered bands.

    Kiss: MTV Unplugged

Celebrating four decades of decibels, KISS, Mercury Records and UMe proudly announce reissuing the legendary KISS albums on 180g audiophile vinyl
starting in 2014. Remastered to high definition 192kHz/24-bit audio for maximum fidelity, these albums have never sounded so amazing and now
vinyl collectors will get what they've been demanding. All posters, sleeve art, stickers, etc that appeared in the original LP release where applicable have
been faithfully reproduced for the KISS Army.

On April 10, KISS will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - which will be broadcast in May -
and then will kick off a summer co-headlining tour with Def Leppard starting in June.

After sinking deep into this musical celebration, even the not-so-avid listener will surely know something more about Kiss, a classic rock icon of the '70s roaring back in vibrant and passionate form. This recording of a session done expressly for the program MTV Unplugged in 1996 brought together a special group for a remarkable, if unexpected, reunion. Throughout this record, you can feel the support and raw adoration of the audience present, certainly a mixture of long-time fans and new admirers. The members of Kiss got together to rock hard on their axes and crash big on the drums, bringing a renewed sense of freshness and excitement. Nearly rock & roll legends, they exceeded expectations and, given their newfound energy, charisma, and love for the music, their performance provided the catalyst for the beginning of a successful world reunion tour. Coming Home delivers a feverish and electric opening that gets the crowd on its feet in a hurry. Soon the emotion and presence of this group are brought back with startling grace and wisdom on Plaster Caster, and the beautiful acoustic medley Goin' Blind. The decades of Kiss, their costumes, and their wild stadium shows roll back in a heartbeat through the crashing tune Do You Love Me. Perhaps one of the most bewildering tunes that really reflects the image of Kiss is the rocking blues tune Domino. The crowd is really fired up now, next experiencing the charming and soulful power rock ballad Sure Know Something. A World Without Heroes is very subdued and reflective. Rock Bottom is delicate and mysterious in the opening seconds, with a lush minor harmony delivered picking style on the acoustic. Now it gets rough, expresses Stanley, grooving in a racy blues statement. See You Tonight is a romantic and pretty ballad delivered with sweetness, and the group sings, I'll see you tonight/And if I can't, I'll cry, I'll cry/I see you tonight, outside. Then on comes the darker resonance of the band with I Still Love You, expressing grave longing after a grueling breakup. I got to make you see, is a gripping line in a haunting bridge section, before the shouted, emotional, sometimes painful chorus: Girl, it seems the price I have of losing you/Will be my hell to pay/It makes me want to die/'Cause I still love you. The solo during the bridge is reminiscent of the chord structure of the Guess Who's Undun. After this painful, depressing song, new breath is found with Every Time I Look at You, a song of forgiveness, delivered with sincerity and the feeling of hope: Every time I hold you/The things I never told you seem to come easily/'Cause you're everything to me. The bridge is brilliant and seems to elevate the melody to a gratifying level, before breaking into a chilling guitar improv, layered over with a shimmering string orchestra. Beth is the most heartwarming song of Kiss' power ballads: Beth I know you're lonely/And I hope you'll be alright/'Cause me and the boys will be playing all night. Finally, a Kiss show wouldn't be complete without the ultimate party song, Rock and Roll All Night, a tune still electric without electric guitars.

A grimly glamorous ghoul who first slithered from the cobwebbed shadows of Charlotte, North Carolina, in the early 90s, WEDNESDAY 13 has firmly established himself as the world's premier purveyor of balls-out horror punk insanity. With a vivid and vile imagination that has endeared him to countless fans of riff-driven macabre over the last two decades, he has been one of rock's most prolific protagonists, spreading his credo of grave-robbing rock 'n' roll and Hallowe'en debauchery around the globe and unleashing a seemingly endless stream of blood-spattered albums and EPs.

"All my favorite stuff, like KISS and ALICE COOPER and TWISTED SISTER, those guys set the bar pretty high," he states. "I always wanted to do something in the worlds of those bands. That's the blueprint. It had to be as outrageous and crazy as that and I wanted to be on someone's wall one day and have their parents say 'Oh my god, what is that?' The formula's still there from when I started doing it as a kid and started wanting to be in a band. It's just GI Joe and Dracula!"

After several years of sharpening his creative teeth, WEDNESDAY 13 emerged from the fetid crypt of obscurity with his band FRANKENSTEIN DRAG QUEENS FROM PLANET 13, those masters of snotty schlock rock that released an astonishing five studio albums and six EPs between 1996 and 2002. Always the leader of the revolting pack, WEDNESDAY 13 then became a bona fide international rock star as frontman for the MURDERDOLLS, his collaboration with SLIPKNOT's Joey Jordison. The band took the world by storm, with Europe and the UK, in particular, succumbing to the feral charms of 2002 debut album, »Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls«; a raucous eruption of big tunes and bad attitude that noisily redefined the horror punk genre. After MURDERDOLLS went on an extended hiatus in 2004, WEDNESDAY 13 embarked on a widely lauded solo career that again provided him with an outlet for his relentless outpouring of fiendish musical and lyrical ideas. Albums like »Transylvania 90210« (released by Roadrunner in 2005), »Fang Bang« and »Skeletons« all cemented our pallid hero's reputation as the bastard son of ALICE COOPER and THE MISFITS, while his outlaw country project, BOURBON CROW and one-off glam metal vehicle, GUNFIRE 76 proved that he had sufficient versatility to survive outside the graveyard and abattoir.

MURDERDOLLS reconvened in 2010 for the vicious »Women And Children Last« album and another successful world tour before disappearing once more into the freezing midnight fog, leaving WEDNESDAY to revive his solo career with a few thousand volts of wicked electricity yet more highly praised albums and tours including 2014's scintillating acoustic opus »Undead Unplugged« and the following year's thunderous »Monsters Of The Universe: Come Out & Plague«. However, absolutely nothing that WEDNESDAY has created in the past has even touched upon the horrifying potency and allure of his brand new studio album, »Condolences«.

Frustrated with the arduous process of releasing his own music, our favorite black-hearted freak has thrown himself and his music into a whirling maelstrom of reinvention. The result is not just the heaviest and most authentically disturbing record of the great man's career but also a huge creative leap forward, neatly encapsulated by the new album's simple and direct title.

"It's more of a serious WEDNESDAY 13 record, I guess," he says. "The campiness has gone and it's taken a darker vibe. It's definitely not in the camp, sleazy world anymore. The band is visually stronger and that's taken things to a new level. Normally my album titles are parodies of something, like »Women And Children Last«, that's a VAN HALEN album title gone wrong! (laughs) So I wanted to make sure that this record came across as a brand new version of WEDNESDAY 13."

In musical terms, »Condolences« showcases WEDNESDAY's growing obsession with the world of heavy metal and its endless possibilities for exploring tales of horror and violence. Produced by renowned studio guru Zeuss, new songs like anthemic first single 'What The Night Brings' and the pile-driving 'Blood Sick' still exhibit a dash of B-movie weirdness and are full of WEDNESDAY's trademark twisted lyrics, but where previous albums were rooted in the worlds of punk rock and glam metal, »Condolences« is a full-on modern metal record with gigantic balls and the attitude to match. From the glowering menace of 'Good Riddance' to the grandiose hellishness of the album's 7-minute title track, it's living, breathing, murdering proof that the WEDNESDAY 13 of 2017 means business. And business is mean.

"The punk rock vibe has left the building and it's become a full-on metal vibe," WEDNESDAY agrees. "I've been the horror-punk guy for years, but this is horror metal. It's just evolution. Over the last ten years, I've become a metalhead for the most part. That second MURDERDOLLS record just amped the whole thing up, and the guys in the band have influenced me with so much other stuff. It's not just me with my SEX PISTOLS, ALICE COOPER and RAMONES records anymore! (laughs) Now I've got my band incorporating everything from death metal to rock'n'roll. It's all across the boards. There are no rules. We can do whatever we want, whatever fits."

Manifestly the strongest, heaviest and most individual album of his lengthy career, »Condolences« promises to push WEDNESDAY 13 into heavy music's upper echelons once again. With determined plans to tour relentlessly in support of the new record, the future is looking dark, dangerous, exhilarating and wildly, unapologetically theatrical.

"It's non-stop touring once the record comes out," WEDNESDAY concludes. "We just did our first video for 'What The Night Brings' and the visuals are really cool. I've incorporated a lot of stuff I've been doing live, like this devil character I've been transforming into at shows, and that got worked in. We're taking the music, the imagery and the entire stage show up a level. It's gonna be a full-on theatrical stage production, so I'll be busy as fuck on stage! I've been doing this shit for so many years, I started thinking 'How can I make this fun again?' (laughs)"
