El PradoNO was formed in 2010 through the chance encounter of Bradley Hanan Carter and Sean Daniel Stentz at a local LA diner. Bonding over stories of disastrous relationships as well as their mutual admiration for storytelling artists like Leonard Cohen, Bill Callahan, Johnny Cash and Lou Reed, the two decided to unite and build something for themselves.
Following the 2011 release of Don't Worry, You'll Be Here Forever EP, NO quickly gained recognition with the local Echo Park crowds, and both NME and the LA Times tipped them as an act to keep a close eye on. 2012 saw them wrack up over 100 live shows, including supports for Best Coast and Electric Guest, and a European tour with Father John Misty. In 2013 the band returned to LA for a sold-out headline show at The Troubadour and performed at international festivals including London's Hard Rock Calling and Germany's Southside and Hurricane, as well as supporting the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, Public Image LTD and The Naked and Famous.
The six-piece are now looking forward having just finished their self-produced debut album El Prado. Mixed by Billy Bush (Tegan & Sara, Foster The People, Jake Bugg) and mastered by Joe LaPorta (Beach House, Foo Fighters, Vampire Weekend), the album will be released by Arts & Crafts in North America in 2014.1. Shotgun WillieTransferring his allegiance to Atlantic (where he would record two remarkable albums that would get him kicked off the label), Willie Nelson offered his finest record to date for his debut -- possibly his finest album ever. Shotgun Willie encapsulates Willie's world view and music, finding him at a peak as a composer, interpreter, and performer. This is laid-back, deceptively complex music, equal parts country, rock attitude, jazz musicianship, and troubadour storytelling.
Nelson blurs the lines between his own tunes and covers to the point that Whiskey River, this record's best-known song, seems thoroughly original, yet it was written by Johnny Bush and Paul Stroud. This, along with two songs apiece by Leon Russell and Bob Wills, provides context for his originals, with Shotgun Willie becoming a musical autobiography, offering not only insights into his musicality (witness how he slows down Stay All Night [Stay a Little Longer] to a slow shuffle) but, seemingly, into himself (most notably on the title track and the wonderful, funny travelogue Devil in a Sleepin' Bag). Nelson wasn't just at a peak of performing here -- he also wrote some of his greatest songs, highlighted not just by the previously mentioned tunes but also by the lovely slow waltz Slow Down Old World and Sad Songs and Waltzes. So You Wannabe An OutlawSo You Wannabe an Outlaw, Earle's first album for Warner Bros. Records since 1997's El Corazón, explores his country songwriting roots and features collaborations with Willie Nelson, Johnny Bush, and Miranda Lambert.
"There's nothing 'retro' about this record," Earle says. "I'm just acknowledging where I'm coming from." So You Wannabe an Outlaw is the first recording he has made in Austin, TX. Earle has lived in New York City for the past decade. "Look, I'm always gonna be a Texan, no matter what I do," he says. "And I'm always going to be somebody who learned their craft in Nashville. It's who I am."
So You Wannabe an Outlaw is an homage to outlaw music and is dedicated to the late Waylon Jennings. "I was out to unapologetically 'channel' Waylon as best as I could," Earle says. "This record was all about me playing' on the back pick-up of a '66 Fender Telecaster on an entire record for the first time in my life. The vocal part of it is a little different. I certainly don't sound like Waylon Jennings. I moved to Nashville in November of 1974, and right after that Willie Nelson's Red Headed Stranger came out. I was around when Waylon was recording Dreaming My Dreams. Guitar Town (Earle's 1986 chart-topping, Grammy Award-winning debut album) wound up being kind of my version of those types of songs," Earle recalls.
Earle is backed on So You Wannabe an Outlaw by his long-time band The Dukes - guitarist Chris Masterson, fiddle player Eleanor Whitmore, bassist Kelly Looney, and new members drummer Brad Pemberton and pedal steel player Ricky Ray Jackson. The album was produced by Richard Bennett and recorded at Arlyn Studios in Austin.LP 1

Man & MythMan And Myth, Roy's first studio album in 13 years, isn't just proof
that one of the leading, most erudite and passionate orators of the
British folk rock renaissance hasn't lost an iota of his gifts, but also
timely evidence for anyone who has wondered why so many musical
luminaries have been lining up to praise this enigmatic and legendary singer-songwriter.
In 2011, Harper performed a special show at the Royal Festival Hall
in celebration of his 70th birthday, playing with guests including
Joanna Newsom, Jonathan Wilson and Jimmy Page of Led
Zeppelin-who once penned a tribute called Hats Off To (Roy)
Harper. David Gilmour not only played on record and stage for
Harper, but Pink Floyd engaged him to sing Have A Cigar on the
band's landmark album Wish You Were Here. Fellow collaborator
Kate Bush has called Harper one of the greatest English songwriters while the late John Peel demanded, on his death, that cricket
obsessive Harper's When An Old Cricketer Leaves The Crease be
played at his funeral. Johnny Marr, meanwhile, has stated that
Harper's 1971 opus Stormcock was intense and beautiful and
Four of the seven tracks that constitute Man And Myth were
recorded with Jonathan Wilson at his studio in Laurel Canyon.
Wilson had been assembling a Harper tribute album and the two
struck up a friendship after meeting backstage at London's Borderline in 2012. Heaven Is Here and The Exile, the album's epic
closing tracks, and January Man were subsequently recorded
back in County Cork.
Man And Myth is incontrovertible proof to everyone of Roy Harper's
persisting brilliance, with many hallmarks of what has singled him

Spirit (Speakers Corner)The wise saying »spiritus ubi vult spirat« (»the spirit blows where it wills«) is interpreted by Earth, Wind & Fire with impressive clarity. Gentle sounds and modest gestures are foreign to the colourful Afro group, who in their live performances welded together ancient Egyptian Pharaonic mysticism with urban street life. That this spirit, which is found in the LP title and blows all the way through it, was guaranteed not only by the exuberant wind section in the group's early years. With regard to rhythm, too, the band rolls out almost everything to pave the floor with powerful disco patterns, not forgetting the elegant and finely controlled falsetto, which adds further pep. Out of all this came the highly cultivated and expressive vocals as in Imagine, carefully balanced ballads (Burnin' Bush), as well as a powerful sound that is so good for dancing to, as in the memorable number Saturday Nite. An extremely wide range of musical genres was brought together by Earth, Wind & Fire in a big-band sound that is »innovative yet popular, precise yet sensual, calculated yet galvanizing« (Rolling Stone Magazine).
This Speakers Corner LP was remastered using pure analogue components only, from the master tapes through to the cutting head. All royalties and mechanical rights have been paid.

About Speakers Corner
At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Speakers Corner all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.
During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existant tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.
A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.
We should like to emphasise that Speakers Corner Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle. We have one digital recording in our catalogue (Alan Parsons / Eye In The Sky"), but even in this particular case we used the analogue tapes for cutting.
We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.
To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects - excluding the exception above - and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.1. Getaway
