    Tin Drum

Brand new limited edition batch for the Back To Black range. Exact reproductions of original LP artwork to retain authenticity, but now on 180 gram heavyweight vinyl.

Tin Drum is the fifth and final studio album by the British band Japan, released on Virgin Records on 13 November 1981. Tin Drum continued the band's
now developed use of electronic elements coupled with traditional instrumentation, but leans far more towards Far Eastern influences than any of their
previous albums. Guitarist Rob Dean had left the band by this point, with vocalist David Sylvian taking on his duties, which had become largely surplus to

    Japan 3/11/11: A Benefit Album

In early March of 2011, Japan suffered one of the largest earthquakes in recorded history, a tsunami which devastated its northern coast, and a nuclear disaster the scope of which is still not fully understood.

23 artists including of Montreal, St. Vincent, Deerhoof, Xiu Xiu, David Bazan, Joan of Arc, Owen, Casiokids, STRFKR, and many more spent the past several months entering the studio and going through their song archives to donate songs to this compilation in an effort to aid the victims of the tsunami and the negligence which led to the disaster that continues to affect Japan.

In addition, a handful of local bands from Champaign-Urbana (Polyvinyls hometown), Tulsa, and San Francisco agreed to be on the compilation and will be organizing benefit shows in their respective areas.

All profits from sales of this benefit album will be donated to the American Red Cross to support the International Red Cross in their ongoing relief efforts. Colored vinyl!

Everything Under The Sun: Japan 1968

Live at the Osaka Festival Hall, Japan 1968

Having officially disbanded in late 1967 following a hugely successful career in the UK, The Walker Brothers were persuaded by management to undertake a short tour of Japan together in the opening month of 1968. The songs performed can be described best as a motley collection of numbers from the group's back catalogue, plus a single strike from Scott and a rag-bag selection of covers. That being said, the results prove to be a thoroughly enjoyable live run through both the big hits and some of the finest cuts from the Brothers' four, often underrated, albums together.

    The Fleshland

Coffins' Relapse debut 'The Fleshland' has all the subtlety of Godzilla's destruction of Tokyo. After 3 full lengths and countless underground splits and eps, Japan's Coffins have ascended from cult heroes to death/doom royalty, and 'The Fleshland' may just be their best effort yet. Absolutely punishing monolithic riffs combine with disgusting grooves to create one of the heaviest records to ever rise out of the east. Coffins are the best metal band coming out of Japan, if not the whole world.

Widely considered to be the Barbra Streisand of Japan, Saori Yuki released her debut album in Japan in 1969 and went on to make over 30 albums in her 42 years. Yuki discovered Pink Martini after the band covered her song Taya Tan for their 2007 album Hey Eugene! Most recently, she sang a verse of Silent Night in Japanese for the bands hit 2010 holiday album Joy To The World.

In honor of the year of her debut release, Saori Yuki partnered with Pink Martini and producer Thomas M. Lauderdale to create a loving tribute to the music released in 1969. Featuring Japanese pop hits alongside internationally recognized tunes like Jorge Bens Mas que nada and Puff the Magic Dragon, 1969 is a brilliant collaboration featuring Thomas M. Lauderdale s magical arrangements, Pink Martinis stellar musicianship, and Saori Yuki's soaring vocals.

Live At Shinjuku Kohseinenkin Kaikan in Tokyo, Japan On June 19th, 1973

On June 19th, 1973, Miles Davis took to the stage at Shinjuku Kohseinenkin Kaikan in Tokyo, Japan, backed by a band of Dave Liebman on saxophone and flute, guitarists Pete Cosey and Reggie Lucas, Michael Henderson on electric bass, Al Foster on drums and James Mtume Forman on percussion. Playing two sets, both of which are included here, Davis' band were in interstellar form. Playing a selection of previously-recorded numbers and extended jams during a show broadcast live across the region by a local FM station in superb quality, the music performed by the famed trumpeter and his majestic band at this superb show pushes the musical boundaries even further than Davis had at any time in the past.

    10th Anniversary Vinyl Edition

Released in 2005 in Japan and 2006 in the US, 15 was somewhat of a new start for Buckcherry - the band had tweaked their lineup since they'd released their previous album, Time Bomb, in 2001 - and what a successful new start it was: the album went platinum, earned Mainstream Rock success with the single "Next 2 You," and "Sorry" actually provided the band with their first and, to date, only top-10 hit.
