    Leave Me Alone

The debut album from the all-female indie rockers. Since bursting onto the DIY scene last summer, Hinds - Ana Perrote, Carlotta Cosials, Ade Martin and Amber Grimbergen - have mastered a raw and playful sound all their own. With just a handful of released singles under their belt, Hinds have already earned early support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music, NME, Guardian, Beats 1, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, The Fader, Gorilla vs. Bear, and many more. Kicking things off with their single 'Garden', Hinds take us on a bad* rock 'n' roll ride on Leave Me Alone.

Weaving sun-kissed, '60s inspired melodies, executed with a genius call and response between co-vocalists and band co-founders Perrote and Cosials, Hinds create the ultimate soundtrack to the best day ever - from start to finish - spent with your four best friends. In addition to previously released fan favorites including the band's first-ever single 'Bamboo', 'Castigadas en El Granero' - which translates in English to Grounded In The Barn - and the band's first new song of 2015 'Chili Town', Leave Me Alone only gets better with each song. Featuring bright surf-pop tune 'San Diego', the mixed-tempo 'Fat Calmed Kiddos', and a bitter ode to sh*ty boyfriends in 'And I Will Send Your Flowers Back', Leave Me Alone is guaranteed to bring the Mediterranean sun to you wherever you are in the world at any time of the year.

    Subliminal Plastic Motives

Self's debut album is an impressive home-brewed amalgamation of crunchy post-grunge guitars, unusual samples, and cotton candy pop vocals. Imagine Nirvana's chord progressions overlaid with Jellyfish-type vocal harmonies, all processed through Beck's idiosyncratic, sample-based production aesthetic, and you've got an idea of what you're in for. The core of Self is Matt Mahaffey, a self-contained singer/songwriter/instrumentalist/producer who obviously has a voracious appetite for many styles of music including power pop, hip-hop, even jazz. The results are surprisingly coherent and thoroughly enjoyable on Subliminal Plastic Motives, an overlooked album.

    Broken Lines

With 5 Grammy nominations and 2 wins; Golden Gods, Kerrang! And VH1 awards; headlining slots in many major festivals and countless Top 10 albums and singles, the members of Giraffe Tongue Orchestra are ready to re-write the rules of the successful rock 'super-group.' Comprised of William DuVall of Alice In Chains, Ben Weinman of Dillinger Escape Plan, Brent Hinds of Mastodon, Pete Griffin of Dethklok and Thomas Pridgen of The Mars Volta, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra has created an album akin to classic cinema. Their innovative debut record, BROKEN LINES, is being released through Party Smasher Inc / Cooking Vinyl. The name itself represents strength and ingenuity per guitarist, Brent Hinds, "During the time Mastodon was there for Soundwave, I was at the zoo in Sydney, Australia and was checking out the giraffes. They are amazing animals - one just grabbed a bunch of bananas from my hand with its tongue and peeled them with it as well - by the time the bananas got to its mouth, they were ready to be eaten. I saw Ben who was at Soundwave too and said 'Man I think I found the name for our band,' and told him the story." Ben adds "That giraffe made it happen like us, he figured it out."

    The Hunter

The Hunter, the follow-up to Mastodon's critically embraced 2009 album, Crack The Skye, was recorded in the band's hometown of Atlanta, GA as well as in Los Angeles with producer Mike Elizondo. As with all of their albums, Mastodon (bassist/vocalist Troy Sanders, guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds, guitarist Bill Keliher, and drummer/vocalist Brann Dailor), decided to take a completely different tack and musical approach on their newest venture, but as usual the band does so boldly and with reckless abandon.

    Differentology

One of the leading artists in the ragga soca movement, Trinidadian soca superstar Bunji Garlin is also one of the genre's few crossover artists, having made an impact internationally with Major Lazer, the Soul Train Awards, and even the television show Greys Anatomy all in the mix. Born Ian Anthony Alvarez in Sangre Grande, Trinidad, he took his name by combining something flexible (a bungee cord) and forceful (Garlin being a type of gun) and kicked off his career just as a dancehall-influenced strain of soca music was taking hold. Known as ragga soca, the aggressive, digital genre fueled Garlin's 2000 debut, The Chronicles, a thoroughly modern album which also featured soca legend Alison Hinds. The singer would win Trinidad's Ragga Soca Monarch competition that same year, as well as the next, while 2002 saw him win the International Soca Monarch award and release his first album for the VP label, Revelation. In 2006 he made news with his marriage to fellow soca artist Fay-Ann Lyons, while 2007 saw him kick-off his international push with the aptly titled Global, an album that featured guest shots from reggae artists T.O.K. and Freddie McGregor. Bunji avoided releasing another album for years, but many of his singles turned into massive, influential hits, especially the 2013 release Differentology. The anthem was picked up by Major Lazer for a remix, was featured on an episode of the hit TV drama Greys Anatomy, and landed Bunji a nomination for Best International Performance at the 2013 Soul Train Awards.

If I Stay is an American romantic drama film directed by R. J. Cutler, based on the novel of the same name by Gayle Forman. The film stars Chloƫ Grace Moretz, Mireille Enos, Jamie Blackley, Joshua Leonard, Stacy Keach, and Aisha Hinds. It was released on August 22, 2014.

The story: life changes in an instant for young Mia Hall after a car accident puts her in a coma. During an out-of-body experience, she must decide whether to wake up and live a life far different than she had imagined.

New York based Indie Rock producer Adam Lasus prefers recording on analog tape over digital. He produced six original songs and a cover of the song ''Today'' by Smashing Pumpkins, that were performed by the fictional band Willamette Stone in the movie led by Jamie Blackley's character Adam Wilde. Other songs on the If I Stay soundtrack include tracks by Sonic Youth, Beck and Tom Odell.

Ire Works (Colored Vinyl) (Awaiting Repress)

    Limited Edition Electric Blue Vinyl

Ire Works succeeds in many of the same ways that their previous album did, while branching out creatively. They continue to toy with technical metal, blistering hardcore, jazz breaks, and post-punk, but here they evolve again by adding more twists and turns with additional electronic elements. While the merging of too many styles in hardcore can make for a convoluted result (see Avenged Sevenfold's self-titled release), the added instruments and genre changeups enhance the result rather than acting as ornamental distractions.

Edgy Aphex Twin-style drill'n'bass drum breaks and stretched and squeezed electro blips feel strangely at home next to the psychotic time-signature changes and manic riffs, especially on the tracks Sick on Sunday, Dead as History, and When Acting as a Wave. Violins, pianos, and trumpets sit nicely in the mix, and the group's willingness to take chances leads to stunning artistic endeavors rather than stale attempts at crossing genres just for the sake of being clever. Original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis makes an appearance, as does Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds, but the most notable inclusion is drummer Gil Sharone, who proves himself an expert at picking up the slack after the departure of founding member Chris Pennie to play in Coheed and Cambria.

Undoubtedly, this act added anger to fuel the fire of their heavier numbers. 82588, Fix Your Face, and Party Smasher are as wicked and manic as their most difficult earlier stuff; conversely, the melodic hooks and falsetto of Black Bubblegum and the watery ambience of Mouth of Ghosts balance out the album nicely. It can be inaccessible and terrifying all at once, but in a genre overly saturated with formulaic groups, Ire Works is a true standout. If DEP aren't careful and continue down this innovative path, they could easily be labeled the Radiohead of metalcore- a visceral metal album that pushes the envelope.
