    Harvest

Ranked 78/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

    NOW ON 180-GRAM VINYL!!!

Remastered from the original tapes! It sounds incredible!!

A quadruple Platinum No. 1 smash and the best-selling album of 1972, Harvest was Neil Young's fourth solo effort. With the Gold No. 1 Heart Of Gold, Top 40 Old Man, powerful The Needle And The Damage Done, controversial A Man Needs A Maid and Southern Man companion Alabama, Harvest won inclusion in Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Albums Of All Time.

Deceptively laid-back-sounding country-rock plaints like Out On The Weekend and the title cut caress the ear unassumingly, pulling you into the more ominous subtext that is present in the rollicking Are You Ready For The Country. As always, Young has an ear for contrasts, laying down heavy rock (Alabama) besides his balladry, and even employing the London Symphony Orchestra on the excellent confessional A Man Needs A Maid. Due to back troubles, Young recorded much of this material while wearing a brace, a fact that seems audible in the tension and unease that underlies the friendly, acoustic surface of this superb release.

    Harvest

The smooth, deep groans of lunar gravity. Salt-soaked ropes swing against hollow masts. An orange helium balloon floats above the city's amber glow. Patrick is only mildy drunk, and enjoying a cigarette when she walks past. He stops her to share his joy that this purring orb is actually the harvest moon. Kansas City's Andrew Plante presents four tracks of focused guitar work on this 45rpm, 12 vinyl release. The mysterious songs mine deeper into the caves he first explored on his Sonic Meditations cassette releases. Limited to 250 copies on glass colored vinyl.

An Evolutionary Music (Original Recordings: 1972 - 1979)

An Evolutionary Music (Original Recordings: 1972 - 1979) compiles
unreleased recordings from the archives of multiversal artist Ariel Kalma.
Concerned as much with musicality as spiritual facility, Kalma's work
vibrates aside fellow travelers along the great rainbow in curved air of
    the 1970s avant-garde.

Ariel Kalma's boundary-blurring electronic music is heard here in
radiant detail across a selection of work spanning his early free-jazz
and spoken word trips to his infinite modular synthesizer and primitive
drum machine meditations. Kalma's story is one of world travel, musical
discovery and ego-abandonment. Yet for an artist who often discarded
public recognition in favor of the ascetic truths in music making, An
Evolutionary Music offers the imprint of an outright auteur.

Born in France, but rarely in one place for long, Ariel Kalma's 1970s
migrations took flight through the decade's furthest spaces of musical
and spiritual invention. As a hired horn for well-known French groups,
the young musician toured as far as India, a place where Kalma would
learn circular breathing techniques enabling him to sustain notes without
pause against tape-looping harmonies configured through his homemade
    effects units.

Those effects evolved from Kalma's loyalty to a beloved dual ReVox
set-up- two tape machines "chained" together to form a primitive delay
unit. Over looped saxophone melodies, Kalma would mix in all shades of
polyphonic color, synthesizing fragments of poetry with ambient space or
setting modal flute melodies to rippling drum machine patterns and starlit
    field recordings.

In France during the mid-1970s, Kalma was staffed as a technician at
Pierre Henry's legendary Institut National Audiovisuel, Groupe de Recherches
Musicales (INA GRM) studios - the same music concrÉte laboratory that
spawned masterpieces by members Luc Ferrari, Iannis Xenakis, and Bernard
Parmegiani. Like his predecessors and colleagues at INA GRM, Kalma's
relationship to sound was both formal and non-hierarchical. To Kalma, all
music existed as related universal patterns, in perfect harmony with the
people, places and environments it was created.

Kalma's recorded output of the 1970s culminated in the now scarcely-available Les Temps des Moissons (trans. The Time of Harvest) in 1975,
and a masterpiece of birdsong exploration with Osmose in 1978. Osmose
is double album featuring sculptor Richard Tinti, who had supplied Kalma
with hours of field recordings from the rainforests of Borneo.

An Evolutionary Music harvests uncatalogued music made between
Kalma's private press records and onward through the many small-batch
cassette releases Kalma would tender. With this collection of musical
hybridity and distinct genre-corrosion, Ariel Kalma's righteous bucking of
both popular music trends and the academic tenets of the avant-garde
falls squarely in the spirit of other renegades of sacred new-music such as
Terry Riley, La Monte Young, and Charlemagne Palestine.

    Tomorrow's Harvest

The idolized and enigmatic duo are back. After considerable speculation by their rabid fan base (not to mention the media following every step of the way), Boards of Canada have revealed that their new album Tomorrow's Harvest will be released on June 11 via their long time home, Warp Records. Musically, the album is somehow dark yet positive, with atmospheric dissonance and mind-bending melodic creations.

The CHRIS ROBINSON BROTHERHOOD unveil their third studio album PHOSPHORESCENT HARVEST via Silver Arrow Records. The band--Chris Robinson (lead vocals, guitar), Neal Casal (guitar, vocals), Adam MacDougall (keys, vocals), George Sluppick (drums) and Mark Dutton (bass, vocals)--will also hit the road in conjunction with the album's release.

PHOSPHORESCENT HARVEST is a treasure trove of 10 songs--including several the band road-tested over the last few years--that advances the band's kaleidoscopic sound, which is deeply soulful, rootsy and spacey all at once. There's strong songcraft here, with a free-flowing delivery; it is music that is in no hurry to reach its destination but firmly knows where it is going. From the beginning, the CRB set out to do something different from what they had done before, creating their own scene with a musical prowess, cohesive songwriting and a unified commitment to experimentation, both in the studio and on the road (they've performed over 230 shows since forming in 2011).

The best perspective I have on what's going on in my life--good and bad--is what comes out in the songs, says Chris Robinson. As you move on in time, you get older, you have relationships. Some of them are good, some fail. Friends. Drugs. Life. Death. People come, people go. Songwriting is a completely different emotional response to your life and to what it means, to in some poetic nature, put it out there.

PHOSPHORESCENT HARVEST follows the release of the companion albums Big Moon Ritual (June 2012) and The Magic Door (September 2012) plus last year's live quadruple vinyl Betty's S.F. Blends, Vol 1. The group continues to record with producer Thom Monahan, and Robinson wrote all of the songs with Casal, save for two that are Robinson solo compositions (Tornado, Jump The Turnstiles).

We're really going by the electricity and the vibrations that we can sort of tune in to, Robinson recently told Relix magazine (Jan/Feb '14). There's a psychedelic component to it. That's part of the greasing the wheels of the great cosmic engine, with psychedelic thought and philosophy and action. If you get my drift. He went on to talk about the more rock and roll feel on PHOSPHORESCENT HARVEST, and his overall vision for the Brotherhood: I'm not going to have hit records. I don't write pop songs. But then again, I find a deep need to express myself and how I'm feeling and where I am and where I've been and where I'm going by writing songs. Why change something to make it easier for anyone else, when I think if we stay sincere and keep our energies in a real creative place, then people will wander into our small community, and it maybe would get more popular to tend that garden is a great responsibility. But I want it to grow. Check out the whole Relix feature here.

Rolling Stone editor David Fricke picked the CHRIS ROBINSON BROTHERHOOD as one of his favorites of 2012, and praised their live performance in New York City, saying the singer's acid-country Brotherhood, with ex-Ryan Adams guitarist Neal Casal, were a sublime time onstage and across these two albums, recorded at the same sessions and issued six months apart. The Irving Plaza show was a characteristic live high. In the second set, Robinson steered out of a rattling 'Tough Mama,' from Bob Dylan's Planet Waves, into the long reverie 'Girl on the Mountain,' a song from an earlier side trip, New Earth Mud, given fresh air and a new coat of DayGlo paint (1/30/13).

    Harvest of Gold

"With an ability to make lyrics twist and shine in her gem-like pop songs...the singer-songwriter is a musical chameleon, who can
churn hook-filled songs it's piano ballads with haunting melodies that will stick in your head for days."
    - Time Magazine

"A traditional pop sensibility structures elements of wandering, atmospheric electronica, while crescendos of rich instrumentation
give the collection a classical touch. And then there's Croome's singular voice: Utterly sweet, but with the thick complexity of
honey, rather than a childlike or cheeky bubblegum smack..." - MTV World

Australia's Gossling is quietly brewing a revolution against the status quo, all powered by delicate and sophisticated vocals.
There's no swagger here, no bravado, instead Gossling's music proves the irresistible power of minimalism.

"I'm interested in music that stirs emotion," says Gossling's mastermind Helen Croome, about her latest album, Harvest of Gold.
The debut LP follows the critically-lauded EPs which earned Croome accolades and airtime in Australia and activated a global
audience, earning Gossling a stellar 2014 set at South-By-Southwest where she was named by the links of Elle, Esquire and
Buzzfeed as an artist to watch in 2014.

Back in Melbourne she teamed up with producer John Castle (Vance Joy, The Bamboos) and set up shop in his studio called The
Shed. "It's really a shed," Croome laughs, "it's a three room shack near his house, and John and I would toy around with keyboards
and drums. The mics are set up to be live. If you have an idea, we put it down right away." The quick production session created
the succinct sound of Harvest of Gold - nothing overwrought, just simple songs with lush textures and vocal hooks that deftly
    weaves complex emotional themes throughout.

The band's entire Metal Blade discography: To Serve Man (2002), Humanure (2004), Karma.Bloody.Karma (2006), The Harvest Floor (2009), and Monolith of Inhumanity (2012) are all being prepared in lavish gatefolds for release. Cattle Decapitation's Travis Ryan adds: We are very excited to announce the Decade of Decapitation reissues! All of our Metal Blade discography has been out of print since right after each release and we're glad we will finally be able to meet some of the demands of the fans with these cool reissues! The box art is another quality piece from the great Wes Benscoter which reveals the inside living space of a psychopath hellbent on revenge, the same point of view from which the majority of our lyrics come from.

John Lee's Barclay James Harvest - Live At Metropolis Studio

    Limited Edition of 750

December 2010 at Metropolis Studios, West London. 120 fans are squeezed into Studio A to witness at extremely close quarters a performance by a progressive rock legend. Leader John Lees introduces a set which includes a wealth of Barclay James Harvest classics and no one in the room was much more than ten feet from a band that is renowned for having played to hundreds of thousands on both sides of the Berlin Wall during the 1980s. It was during the 1970s that BJH made their mark with an impressive array of Mellotron-soaked mini-epics that owed more to Vaughan Williams than Chuck Berry. Today, of course, founder member Lees' version of the band have the full range of 21st century technology available to present what is a selection of the best of BJH - including the poignant Child Of The Universe, the symphonic Mockingbird and of course the concluding and timeless Hymn. It was in 2006 that principal songwriter and guitarist Lees toured the UK for the first time (with original member and keyboardist Woolly Wolstenhome, now sadly deceased) as John Lees' Barclay James Harvest. Sold out London shows, filmed for DVD release, testified to their appeal after a long absence from the stage and for the many fans not lucky enough to have attended the Metropolis show, this new live souvenir offers them an opportunity to once again be captivated by those much-loved BJH compositions.

After a very successful 2016 touring worldwide, selling out headlining shows, garnering millions of views for their music videos "Dangerous" and "In Chains," charting multiple times on Billboard's mainstream rock chart, and racking up over 31 million streams, Shaman's Harvest return with their new album 'Red Hands Black Deeds.'

With Keith Armstrong behind the boards, Shaman's Harvest decidedly wanted a more organic, analog sound for their sixth record. "We used analog effects pedals and vintage amps. This is the first record that we went with this approach. It was kind of like trying to find the melting point between Midwest and l.A. It still has the Shaman's Harvest Midwest vibe to it, but it definitely has organic l.A. written all over it."

Singer Nathan Hunt shares, "this past year has been a year of firsts for Shaman's Harvest and that's great and all, but we are only lookin' forward resting on our accomplishments makes us fat 'n lazy. If there's one thing rock 'n roll doesn't need it is complacency." Principle band members Nathan Hunt (vocals & acoustic guitar), Josh Hamler (guitar) and Matt Fisher (bass) have toured North America extensively mixing headline, support and festival appearances within an on-going odyssey that has delivered a broad fan base and positioning as one of rock's rising stars.

Hairball, produced by Bob Cooper (Citizen), is a record that defines where Nai Harvest are right now. A pair of best friends who have found their sound on their own terms after two years of near relentless touring that has taken them to the other side of the world and back. Racing through 80's and 90's influenced indie rock, Hairball continues on the theme of their last EP and single releases, only letting up to take sharp turns into hazy garage-punk and feedback-laden grunge.

Shaman's Harvest achieved significant success with the independently released Shine album, which featured Dragonfly. The hit song rose to number #16 on Billboard's Active Rock chart and #9 at Heritage Rock, selling over 130,000 singles and 30,000 albums. To date, the video has been viewed 2.3 million times on YouTube. Additionally, the composition was featured on the soundtrack of the major motion picture Legendary. In 2010, Shaman's Harvest recorded Broken Dreams for the WWE as the theme song for wrestler Drew McIntyre, and cut End of Days as the entrance track for Wade Barrett and The Corre.

The new album features an exclusive unplugged version of "Dragonfly," and the new single "Here It Comes." The songs are cinematic, and offer audio beds for flashback memories or present experiences that are our lives. Lead singer Nathan Hunt states, Whether they're driving down the highway, at work, or doin' the nasty, these songs should be the soundtrack. I think people will accept the diversity from song to song whether it's a riff rock vibe like 'Here It Comes' or it's a darker, emotional anthem such as 'Ten Million Voices' without categorizing Shaman's.

    California Nights

Best Coast - singer/songwriter/guitarist Bethany Cosentino and guitarist Bobb Bruno - will release their third full length album, entitled California Nights, on Harvest Records. California Nights - produced by Wally
Gagel (Miley Cyrus, New Order, Muse), and recorded at WAX LTD in Hollywood, California - is a brighter, more
sparkly, more sophisticated, more psychedelic Best Coast album across the board, embodying the rich lightness
and stinging darkness of a California state of mind.

    Wake Up Now (Pre-Order)

Acclaimed British musician Nick Mulvey's highly anticipated new album, Wake Up Now, is set for release via Harvest Records.

Wake Up Now is the first new music from Mulvey since his 2014 Mercury Prize-nominated debut, First Mind. First Mind received widespread critical praise-Rolling Stone hailed it as One of this year's finest new releases...Sophisticated and intricate stuff; Mulvey sounds like a major player in the making, and as introductions go, this is fine indeed, while The Guardian furthered, His album mixes traditional and experimental, acoustic and electronic to pull unexpected rabbits out of hats, and The Line of Best Fit added it's a total package of pop hooks, instrumental genius and gorgeous rhythms.

    First Mind

Nick Mulvey, former founding member of Mercury Prize-nominated jazz collective, Portico Quartet, has already made huge waves in his native England
as a solo performer. With everyone from The Guardian, The Sun and Q Magazine giving his debut album, First Mind four stars and The Telegraph
weighing in with 5 out 5 stars calling it a mesmerizing debut...A lovely, rewarding record.

Together PANGEA began with lead singer-songwriter William Keegan recording songs on a 4-track tape machine as a teenager. The band truly began to
take shape when Danny Bengston joined on bass, Erik Jimenez on drums and later Cory Hanson on lead guitar. They began performing at CalArts and
house parties in the Santa Clarita valley in 2008, soon venturing to house shows and DIY spaces throughout the West Coast. These initial grassroots
tours were followed by shows at iconic LA venues such as The Echo, Echoplex, the Troubadour and The Roxy, as well as trips to Austin for SXSW. Their
debut recording was 2010's cassette-only Jelly Jam, released by Seattle-based label Lost Sound Tapes. Their second album Living Dummy was coreleased
on LP in the summer of 2011 by Burger Records and The Smell's label Olfactory. Living Dummy was followed up by the Killer Dreams EP in
early 2012. Pangea have played shows with Wavves, The Black Lips, FIDLAR, Ty Segall, Mikal Cronin, King Kahn and the Shrines, Nobunny, Redd
Kross, Guitar Wolf, The Strange Boys, and many more. Now signed to Harvest Records, together PANGEA released their 7-inch, "Snakedog", in August
    2013.

    Lost On The River

The New Basement Tapes, an album project from Elvis Costello, Rhiannon Giddens (Carolina Chocolate Drops) Taylor Goldsmith (Dawes), Jim James (My Morning Jacket), Marcus Mumford (Mumford & Sons) and producer T Bone Burnett, recorded in Capitol Studios to create music for two-dozen recently discovered lyrics written by Bob Dylan in 1967 during the period that generated the recording of the legendary Basement Tapes.

The album will be released this year by Electromagnetic Recordings/Harvest Records (Capitol Music Group), and will be accompanied by a Showtime documentary titled, Lost Songs: The Basement Tapes Continued, directed by Sam Jones (the Wilco documentary, I Am Trying To Break Your Heart). The film will present an exclusive and intimate look at the making of Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes set against the important and historical cultural backdrop of Bob Dylan's original Basement Tapes.

Bob Dylan's original Basement Tapes - recorded by Dylan in 1967 with musicians who would later achieve their own fame as The Band - have fascinated and enticed successive generations of musicians, fans and cultural critics for nearly five decades. This collective recorded more than a hundred songs in
the basement of a small house in upstate New York that summer and fall, including dozens of newly-written Bob Dylan future classics such as, "I Shall Be Released," "The Mighty Quinn," "This Wheel's On Fire," "You Ain't Going Nowhere" and "Tears Of Rage."

Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes celebrates the discovery of new Bob Dylan lyrics from that noted 1967 period and marks a unique creative opportunity for Burnett, Costello, Giddens, Goldsmith, James and Mumford, who are bringing them to life nearly 50 years later. For Burnett, whom Dylan
has entrusted with this endeavor, it was imperative to provide an environment in which these artists could thrive. "Great music is best created when a community of artists gets together for the common good. There is a deep well of generosity and support in the room at all times, and that reflects the tremendous generosity shown by Bob in sharing these lyrics with us."

    On An On

On An On features 10 tracks, finding Syd Arthur in new territory, exploring sonic landscapes and atmospheres, playing harder and softer, and taking people on a musical journey through the many aspects of their sound.

'A delightfully assorted collection of songs that seamlessly mixed bucolic, hippie-like reveries, devastating bursts of precision controlled rifferama and a musical vocabulary that's as fluently conversant with world music as it is the time-signature twists of Soft Machine. That these influences are successfully integrated into their songs rather than merely grafted on as stylistic affections says a lot about the band's desire to hone their craft'
