    Hamilton (Original Broadway Cast Recording)

Hamilton - which transferred to Broadway following a sold-out run at The Public Theater in NYC - is the acclaimed new musical about the scrappy young immigrant Alexander Hamilton, the $10 Founding Father who forever changed America with his revolutionary ideas and actions. During his life cut too short, he served as George Washington's chief aide, was the first Treasury Secretary of the United States, a loving husband and father, despised by his fellow Founding Fathers, and shot to death by Aaron Burr in a legendary duel.

The Hamilton (Original Broadway Cast Recording) is executive produced by Ahmir Questlove Thompson and Tariq Black Thought Trotter, founding members of the Grammy Award winning hip-hop band, The Roots. HAMILTON has book, music and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award-winning composer Lin Manuel Miranda, who also plays the title role. The musical is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. Hamilton is inspired by Ron Chernow's biography Alexander Hamilton.

    Black Hours

Hamilton Leithauser announces his debut solo album Black Hours via Ribbon Music -
inaugurating a new chapter in an already remarkable career from The Walkmen front man. The album
brings Leithauser full circle and then some, from lonely midwinter piano-and-vocals sessions, to a
loud, live Rock n Roll group and back again. Featuring Leithauser with a slew of talented collaborators
including Rostam Batmanglij (Vampire Weekend), Paul Maroon (The Walkmen), Morgan Henderson
(Fleet Foxes) and Richard Swift (The Shins/solo), the album showcases Leithauser at his most
    passionate, personal and free.

The video for the first single "Alexandra," which was directed by SXSW Film Festival Grand Jury award
winning director Tristan Patterson. The track was co-written by Hamilton Leithauser and Rostam
Batmanglij, the latter producing and mixing the track.

In its orchestrated rhythms, dynamic vocals, and generous production, Black Hours speaks from one
booming voice. The instrumentation provides muscle and texture: Maroon covering a wide range of
acoustic and electric guitars as well as grand piano; Batmanglij switching between guitar, harpsichord,
piano, bass and harmonica; Morgan Henderson from Fleet Foxes takes the marimba and upright bass,
and Richard Swift lays down impressive drums on seven tracks (Henderson & Swift will be accompanying
Leithauser on a full U.S. tour). Amber Coffman from the Dirty Projectors provides backing vocals on
several numbers and even Hugh McIntosh of Leithauser's first band, the Recoys, returns to the drum
stool for a pair of songs.

Principal recording was done in August 2013 at Vox Studios in Los Angeles, "the oldest private studio in
the world", where Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, Johnny Mercer, and countless others cut demos before
appearing on air at NBC studios, just across Melrose Ave.

I Had A Dream That You Were Mine

Includes Limited Edition 14-page Booklet Of Handwritten Lyrics

I Had A Dream That You Were Mine is an album of songs Hamilton Leithauser and Rostam wrote and recorded together between July, 2014 and February, 2016. In the spirit of collaborative albums, not unlike those of David Byrne and Brian Eno, each musician's individuality remains in tact, while in fact, on this record, both Hamilton's identity as a singer and Rostam's as a producer seem to reach new heights.

This was a record I d been wanting to make for at least a decade, Rostam says. As a fan of Hamilton's voice in the Walkmen I'd been wanting to capture it in ways it hadn't been captured before to make songs with him that placed the crooner right beside the howler, the screamer beside the whisperer to try to leave no stone unturned in terms of how we should approach the delivery of a song. And also to try to push his voice outside of any musical context it had lived in before.

Says Leithauser, Rostam's one-man-band process is so fundamentally different from the way I've always written songs, and it's very impressive. We had no idea what kind of music we were going to make we actually didn't know we were working on an album at first but unexpected things kept falling into place. We were writing and recording everything simultaneously it was flat-out inspiring just to be there.

Many of these songs seem to take place in a memory of New York's past, or wading through the waist high waters in a half-submerged New York of the future. Yet what unites them is that they tell stories. I Had A Dream That You Were Mine is an album, a collection of songs yes, but also a collection of narratives. 'The Bride's Dad' faithfully recounts an unexpected (an probably uninvited) guest at a friend's recent wedding; 'You Ain't That Young Kid' follows the wistful narrator through a night of lost love and transformed resolve.

From the doo-wop of 'When the Truth is...' to the country pedal steel of 'The Morning Stars'; from the piano and organ alchemy of the 'Band in A 1000 Times', to the Leonard Cohen-esque Spanish triplets of 'In a Black Out'; the album harnesses the exploding musical styles of midcentury America which, when melded with the warbled 1980s analogue synthesizers of 'You Ain't That Young Kid,' the ultramodern sub bass of 'Sick as a Dog,' the intimate falsetto of '1959,' and the raucous bar-room chorus of 'Rough Going' sparks an entirely unexpected and innovative style.

    Knives & Teeth

Tom Hamilton is best known as one of the founding members of the highly successful electro-rock band, Brothers Past, an endeavor that infused the song structures of The Grateful Dead into the experimental music of Aphex Twin and Squarepusher (a sort of "Pink Floyd with laptops," as Hamilton calls it). When the strictures of band life became creatively stifling, Hamilton decided in 2007 to form American Babies. A loosely-organized operation wherein Hamilton is the sole constant member, American Babies have released three sets over the course of six years: their self-titled debut, which won them numerous festival appearances as well supporting gigs with Sheryl Crow, Derek Trucks and The National; a 2010 EP called Weight of the World; and, in 2011, their second long player, Flawed Logic.

Knives & Teeth is the powerful new American Babies album fromThe Royal Potato Family. The 10 songs range from uplifting to heartbreaking as Hamilton considers the secrets of childhood, the impending doubts of adulthood and the weight of strained friendships, all set to a soundtrack with the brashness of The Replacements, the sonic intensity of David Bowie and the acoustic majesty of Led Zeppelin.

When asked to describe his new record, Knives & Teeth, Hamilton's answer is short and compact but, like his lyrics, is loaded with deeper meaning: "It's a 40-minute existential breakdown."

    Almanac (On Sale)

Widowspeak is an American band comprised of Molly Hamilton and Robert Earl Thomas, known for its dreamy, western-tinged take on rock and roll. Their self-titled debut was praised for its reverential spaciousness, Hamilton's haunting voice, and Thomas's sinister Morricone-esque guitar lines. On their second album, Almanac, the duo explores denser arrangements and new sonic territory, from Saharan rhythms to Appalachian-inspired melodies, all delivered with stoic, wistful restraint. Named after those annual tomes which provide agricultural advice, chart weather patterns and astronomocal phenomena, Almanac likewise tracks the life and death of seasons, youth, love, and the cyclical nature of all things.

The album was recorded by Kevin McMahon (Swans, Real Estate) in a hundred year old barn in the Hudson River Valley of New York State during the transition from summer to fall. Producing with McMahon, Thomas expanded on the band's demos, crafting layers of guitar, Rhodes piano, organ and harmonium.

Lisbon was recorded over the course of eight months beginning in the fall of 2009 with You & Me producer Chris Zane (Passion Pit, Les Savy Fav, Tokyo Police Club). The band then traveled to Dallas to finish the album with producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Explosions in the Sky). Featuring the band's signature vintage instrument-sound, Lisbon showcases a lot of stuff that's Elvis-sounding, like early Elvis and Sun Records kind of sounds, says frontman Hamilton Leithauser.

Lead singer Joe Harris was the only constant in the Undisputed Truth lineup. This LP bears no resemblance to the group's first two sets on Gordy. Abject Skin

There's an intoxicating feeling inside Hamilton, Ontario, and Black
Baron has managed to distill the essence of that feeling into a potent
brew. In the same way that the films of David Lynch are sewn
together from the fabric that holds together dreams, Black Baron
creates songs from the fabric of Hamilton. While the local hardcore
scene has been cutting records reminiscent of the city's steel mills
since the early 1990's, Black Baron, a band comprised of some of
the city's hardcore elite, creates the soundtrack to a different side of
the city. Unlike the punishing steelfucker sound of Hamilton
hardcore, Black Baron's music is rooted in a deep sense of
melancholy, one that does not seek destruction, but rather seeps its
way into the collective consciousness following the potentiality of
destruction or abandonment. Coming from a city devastated by
economic decline following the shrinking of its industrial sector,
Black Baron evokes the haunting memory of the closure and loss of
Hamilton landmarks at a time when the city appears to be on a
    cultural upswing.

To ascribe a genre stamp to Black Baron's music feels like sacrilege.
While on paper the band's sound could loosely be described as postpunk,
the dreamy, nearly aquatic tones, dazzling riffage, and
unabashed lyrical melodrama add dynamic elements to their
sound that are typically missing from that of their peers. The band's
debut full-length album Abject Skin, which is chock full of new
material along with refined versions of tracks taken from their 2013
tape Divine Chains, is a representation of a band sticking to their
hometown roots all while carving their own vicious path.

    Dead To The World

Helmet's First Studio Album In 7 Years

Helmet was formed in New York City in 1989 by founding members Page Hamilton, Henry Bogdan, Peter Mengede and John Stanier. They have had a large impact on many heavy metal, hard rock, nu metal, post-hardcore and metalcore acts, with bands such as Tool, Pantera, Mastodon, Converge, Meshuggah, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Queens of the Stone Age, Sepultura, At the Drive In, System of a Down, Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein, Korn, Marilyn Manson, Silverchair, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, Slipknot, Staind and many others crediting Helmet as an influence.

The group released their first full length album Strap It On, in 1991. The band found mainstream success with their follow up album Meantime which debuted at number 68 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hits Unsung and In the Meantime. In 1994, Helmet explored new sonic territories with the fan favorite and critically acclaimed Betty, which incorporated elements of jazz and blues into their thinking man's metal. Following an additional album, Helmet broke up in 1998, while Hamilton explored other projects, including various collaborations and film scores.

In 2004, Hamilton reformed Helmet with a new lineup, releasing the album Size Matters that same year. In 2006, they released Monochrome and then released their most recent album, Seeing Eye Dog, via in 2010.

Since the 2004 revival, Helmet has toured extensively all over the world. In 2012, they toured Europe in light of the 20th anniversary of Meantime and, most recently, embarked on a similar tour for the 20th anniversary of Betty.

Dead to the World is the first studio album in 7 years by HELMET and is available on VINYL.

    Give Me Your Love

Barbara Mason becomes a woman on this Buddah release. No longer the love-struck teen who hit with Oh How It Hurts, Girls Have Feelings, and Sad, Sad Girl, the new Barbara makes the rules and gives the ultimatums. She unleashes a sensuous contralto on Bed And Board, Curtis Mayfield's Give Me Your Love, and a rekindled Yes I'm Already. And is marvelous on You Cans Be With the One You Don't Love, a lamenting ballad that Barbara creams.

    Moana (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Disney takes us back to the sea for an adventure about home, tradition and growing up. Composed by the Samoan musician Opetaia Foa'i, Mark Mancina (who helped put a South African spin on Elton John's songs for The Lion King), and Hamilton mastermind Lin-Manuel Miranda, the movie's soundtrack is an uplifting mix of Disney storytelling and traditional Oceanian music, sung both in English and the Polynesian language of Tokelau. It also features beautiful performances by Hawaiian actress Auli'i Cravalho, who voices the film's heroine, Moana.

Aside from Wilson's exploration of Latin, south of the border influences, the recording features unique performances of music by Ellington, Hawkins, Jerry Goldsmith and Van Dyke Parks. Executive Suite 1

A Philadelphia quartet with deep Philly roots, the members were part of various recording entities before Executive Suite. When the Philly sound took off, old friends Bunny Sigler, Norman Harris, and Phil Hurtt decided to give them a shot. The seven tracks come from their four singles on Babylon Records, two of which are part two's, so there are really only five songs. The album is essential listening because of the lovely I'm a Winner Now and Your Love Is Paradise; they got some run with the disco-ish When the Fuel Runs Out, but more serious efforts like You Believed in Me defined Executive Suite's sound.

James Bond: Live and Let Die Soundtrack

1973 Soundtrack Includes Paul McCartney & Wings Performing Live And Let Die!

Live and Let Die is the soundtrack to the eighth James Bond film of the same name. It was scored by George Martin. The title song was written by Paul and Linda McCartney and performed by Paul McCartney & Wings.

It was the first Bond film score not to involve John Barry.

Producers Saltzman and Albert Broccoli approached Paul McCartney to write the theme song and McCartney in turn asked Martin to record it for him. Impressed with the orchestration for the finished track, Saltzman and Broccoli considered Martin for the film's score.

Martin worked closely with director Guy Hamilton who described what the music should convey in each scene as it unfolds. Only very minor changes to the finished score were asked for. Martin felt that this was as much for Hamilton's accurate briefing.

The orchestra was conducted by Martin and recorded at AIR studios. The soundtrack was also released in quadrophonic.

Live and Let Die was the first time that a rock music arrangement was used to open a Bond film. It was also the first time that McCartney and Martin had worked together since Abbey Road in 1969. McCartney had been considered as title song composer for the previous Bond film, Diamonds Are Forever.
The Live and Let Die single was a major success in the U.S. and U.K. and continues to be a highlight of McCartney's live shows.

Hamilton and Thomas excel at setting heartbroken lyrics to addictively catchy melodies. - All Music

....this two-person country-tinged-dream-pop band have a steady, velvety sound that you just want to wander over to on a lazy weekend. - GQ

Seven years in, Widowspeak remain purveyors of mood. They're an outfit ever preoccupied with the influence of place and the passage of time on personal experience: the way vivid memories can feel like movies or dreams. Existing In a sonic overlap of somber indie rock, dream pop, downtrodden shoegaze,slow-core and invented cowboy grunge, Widowspeak use familiar aesthetics as a narrative device, a purposeful nostalgic backdrop for songs that ask,How Did we get here? Expect the Best, their fourth for Brooklyn's Captured Tracks, sees Widowspeak finding balance between opposing forces: darkness and light, quiet and loud, tension and calm.

Written while singer and songwriter Molly Hamilton and lead guitarist Robert Earl Thomas were living in Tacoma, WA after previous stints in upstate New York and Brooklyn, so much moving around -- specifically the move back to the place she grew up -- was the catalyst for a record concerned with self examination and the sense of dread that comes from feeling adrift (Dog).Whether navigating the anxieties of the digital age (Expect the Best), struggling for motivation (When I Tried), or critiquing wanderlust and aspiration(The Dream), the songs recognize there's no going back in time. Hamilton's Lyrics explore the space between regret and anticipation, reconciling the desire to dwell with a need to expect the best, even as the best seems unlikely.

Although Widowspeak's previous two records -- Almanac (2013) and All Yours(2015) -- were conceived as a duo, Expect the Best finds them playing to the specific strengths of their current touring incarnation. The album exhibits a palpable energy that reflects the band's live shows.. The band navigates dynamic changes with subtlety and restraint; the nine tracks brim with both wide-eyed optimism and resigned melancholy. Their usual palette of dusty guitars and angular twang are still front and center, but now with a 90s homage, even if abstractly. It's their heaviest record to date, but never loses the sense of intimacy Widowspeak is known for.
