    Gun Metal Sky

Best known for her classic song, Killing Me Softly which was featured on her 1972 self-titled debut, Lori Lieberman has gone on to record a number of albums for Capitol Records, Pope Music and Drive On Records. Lieberman's early musical history formed in the '70s on Los Angeles' Sunset Strip and the West Coast club scene circuit that included singer/songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne and the Eagles.

Originally released on CD for Drive On Records in 2009, Gun Metal Sky marked Lori Lieberman's debut as an arranger for strings and woodwinds. While most of the songs are self-penned, the collection also includes unique and interesting versions of songs from some of our most beloved songwriters, including Emmylou Harris, Paul Simon, The Bee Gees and The Hollies.

Plague Vendor are from Whittier, CA. They make garage-style punk reminiscent of
Gun Club or Grinderman and manifests most recently in bands like The Black Lips,
FIDLAR, Iceage, and Ty Segall. Guitar, bass and drums, and a kinetic frontman, channeling his inner Nick Cave and willing to spill a little blood for your entertainment.
Signed to Epitaph after some impressive live shows and a near perfect demo, Plague
Vendor release their debut full length, Free to Eat, this April. Plague Vendor's snarling
guitars and high energy sets will make young music fans who have never heard of the

    Kiss You Kidnapped Charabanc

Nikki Sudden's collaboration with former Birthday
Party guitarist Rowland S. Howard peaked with Kiss You
Kidnapped Charabanc, the duo's 1987 first and only full
length. Howard's sinister guitar flourishes and malevolent
lyrical motifs lead Sudden's paisley-clad disposition into
murkier waters, drudging the same sludge inhabited by
The Gun Club and Nick Cave's Bad Seeds. Unhinged slide
guitars, noise and primal drumming draw up demented
pacts forged in the blood of Southern Gothic swamp
stomp and Depression-era devotionals-tales of lovers and
demons split between the vocal transmissions of the two
minds behind this goth-steeped, blues-punk essential.

In founding Swell Maps, the post-punk prefacing
Birmingham art-snots, Nikki Sudden and his drumming
brother Epic Soundtracks charted new territory for racket
and corrosive guitar. But after folding Swell Maps at the
dawn of the '80s, Nikki Sudden plowed through another
decade's worth of terrifically fertile ground. Drawing on
his devotion to the Rolling Stones and T. Rex-alongside
guitarist Dave Kusworth as Jacobites, plus a cheekily named
cohort of British sidemen-Nikki Sudden cut a string of
raw, inspired rock 'n' roll records, etched with double-edged travel melancholia and hard-bitten punk dejection.

    Floodland Era Collection

One of England's leading goth bands of the 1980s, the Sisters of Mercy play a slow, gloomy, ponderous hybrid of metal and psychedelia, often incorporating dance beats; the one constant in the band's career has been deep-voiced singer Andrew Eldritch. (There is some disagreement as to whether the group took its name from an order of Catholic nuns or from the Leonard Cohen song of the same name.) Eldritch originally formed the band in 1980 with guitarist Gary Marx and recorded its first single with a drum machine dubbed Doktor Avalanche. Guitarist Ben Gunn and bassist Craig Adams were added to make live gigs feasible, and the Sisters built a reputation through several singles and EPs. Gunn left the band in 1983 and was replaced by Wayne Hussey. the Sisters of Mercy recorded their first full-length album, First and Last and Always, in 1985, but two years later, internal dissent had split them apart; Marx left to form Ghost Dance, and Adams and Hussey departed shortly thereafter.

A legal dispute ensued over the rights to the name Sisters of Mercy; Adams and Hussey attempted to use the name Sisterhood, but Eldritch released an EP under the name to prevent its usage, and the two finally settled on the Mission. Eldritch chiefly utilized a corps of temporary sidemen from this point on (although former Gun Club bassist Patricia Morrison was an official member of the group for a short time) and rebounded with his two biggest-selling American LPs, Floodland and Vision Thing. Despite ceasing studio recordings, Eldritch kept the band active as a performing entity through the first decade of the 2000s and beyond.

    One Way Street (Box Set)

180 Gram 6 LP Box Set

Housed In A Sleeve Reproducing The Art For Its Original Release

One Way Street set compiles the first five solo albums recorded by Mark Lanegan, the Pacific-Northwest icon also known for his work with Screaming Trees, Gutter Twins, Mad Season, Queens of the Stone Age, Isobel Campbell, and more. The Winding Sheet, Mark Lanegan's first solo work, is notable in its departure from the characteristic sound of Screaming Trees, the band he fronted from 1985 until 2000.

Its follow-up, Whiskey for The Holy Ghost, released during the grunge explosion of the early 1990s, showcases Lanegan's growing maturity as a songwriter and vocalist. Scraps at Midnight could be considered the final installment of a trilogy of albums featuring Lanegan's interpretation of American roots music accompanied by his troubling lyrics of loss, sin, and redemption. I'll Take Care of You, Lanegan's fourth solo effort, consists entirely of cover songs with interpretation of songs from a wide variety of songwriters, including Tim Rose, Tim Hardin, Booker T. Jones, and Buck Owens. On Lanegan's fifth and final solo album for Sub Pop, Field Songs, Lanegan seems to have taken the best elements from his previous work to create one of the most fulfilled, and fulfilling, albums of his career; Field Songs also includes "Kimiko's Dream House," which Mark co-wrote with Jeffrey Lee Pierce of The Gun Club.

Three of these five albums have been out of print on vinyl for many years; I'll Take Care of You was only released on vinyl in Europe, and Field Songs was only issued on CD. Each album in the One Way Street box set was pressed on 180-gram vinyl, and is housed in a sleeve reproducing the art for its original release.

    Away From The Water

'Away From The Water' is the highly anticipated debut album from London six piece Lola Colt. Produced by Bad Seed Jim Sclavunos, the album has been intricately crafted by the songwriting partnership of vocalist Gun Overbye and lead guitarist Matt Loft through a cinematic writing style born of a mutual love of vintage film and visual soundscapes. Hailed as one of London's most exciting and captivating live bands by fans and critics alike, this six-piece have been taking audiences by storm. Crystallising their breathtaking live experience into physical form has been an intense and challenging experience as Matt explains Our music is pure escapism and the thought of recording it felt strangely like trying to put up walls around a dream. What we strived to create is a timeless record that takes the listener on a journey to a different place with each listen.

    Pop Crimes

Rowland S. Howard started playing in teenage bands in late
70s Melbourne. Whilst still a callow youth he wrote "Shivers," an
undisputed classic, (quietly ignoring the fact that Rowland perhaps
doesn't see it that way and approaches the song as if it was written
by someone else). The song was recorded by his band The Boys Next
Door who mutated into the Birthday Party and then relocated to
Europe to wage a guerrilla campaign against the trivialities of the
80s, until they turned their fire upon themselves and disintegrated
    mid-decade.

Whilst his former associates have moved on to weekend colour
supplement acceptability, Rowland has commonly been perceived
as the banished wastrel prince... exiled to a squalid garret on the
colder edges of the kingdom, accompanied only by his dreams and
inclinations. His demeanour (pale, gaunt, stick thin, sickly, dark
humoured, fatalistic) has perhaps inadvertently added far too much
credence to this interpretation of events. The shadow of this myth
has seemingly obscured the sheer volume of his creativity and the
    singularity of his musical vision.

Always respected by his peers, a scan through Rowland's
catalogue of work sees him allied with the likes of Lydia Lunch,
Thurston Moore, Wim Wenders, Barry Adamson, The Gun Club, Nikki
Sudden, the Beasts Of Bourbon, the Hungry Ghosts and HTRK.
Rowland's own ensemble These Immortal Souls gun their engines
in the ill-lit background and the legacy of his work with The Birthday
Party scores the skin of successive generations of musicians and
    fans.

But it's a history Rowland would gleefully put a match to. With or
without it Rowland S. Howard would make tense, beautiful music,
would deliver us his personal vision of the world, would create Pop
    Crimes.

Long-time faithful friends Mick Harvey (who played with Rowland
for over 30 years), JP Shilo (Hungry Ghosts) and producer Lindsay
Gravina make for a formidable backline. Out front the guitar playing
couldn't be any one else but Rowland S Howard and his weary,
almost journalistic vocal delivery dispassionately sits amidst the
sweaty panic of the music, adding to the ill ease.

The band lurch in to Pop Crimes as if dragging a rain soaked body
across a muddy field. The ghosts of Lee Hazlewood, Snatch, Sergio
Leone, The Shangri-Las and nameless guys from a never known chain
gang watch on. Within the first few breaths Rowland references
Stalin, Calvary and genocide, whilst razoring guitar lines the current
crop of post-punk revisionists could only fantasize about.

"Shut Me Down" is Rowland at his most romantic, though
inevitably it's shot through with loss and longing. If only Dusty
Springfield were alive to revel in its drama. Talk Talk's 'Life's What
You Make It' is re-imagined as if it had risen from the grind of a
Detroit auto plant's assembly line. '(I Know) A Girl Called Johnny'
sees Jonnine D from HTRK sidle up to the microphone for a duet
that will melt even the coldest of hearts. It's a glorious missing link
between the New York girl group sound and the street smarts of
Suicide. Townes Van Zandt's "Nothin" is given a chilling tenement
building transformation. "Wayward Man" has the band wailing like
alarm sirens before Rowland emerges at his most contemplative
with the gorgeous, fragile build of "Ave Maria." Final track "The
Golden Age Of Bloodshed" takes the album out on a swaggering,
swashbuckling epic, with salvation slipping through the narrator's
    fingers.

    Big Smoke London Town

The Dustaphonics occupy the space where the talented few, committed and bright, stick to their guns'. Some groups are capable of doing things more intensely than others. The Dustaphonics is a group that knows how to grab your attention and get people dancing. The music is a fantastic mash-up that details their musical influences, from booze-soaked 1950s rhythm and blues, vintage stomping 'buttshaker' soul, '60s garage rock and british beat / r&b, Vegas lounge, sleazy grind instrumentals and surf guitar. And the whole deal is sealed and delivered with the spirit of '70s punk. Although the influences are vintage, there is something remarkably and distinctively fresh and progressive about their songs that takes the music beyond simple imitation and infuses it with tremendous energy and passion.

The First Live Album By Finnish Rock Band Hanoi Rocks, Originally Released In 1984

Recorded In December 1983 At The Marquee Club In London, A Year Before The Death Of Hanoi Rocks' Drummer Razzle

All Those Wasted Years is the first live album by the Finnish rock band Hanoi Rocks, released in 1984. The album was recorded in December 1983 at The Marquee Club in London, about a year before the death of Hanoi Rocks' drummer Razzle. All Those Wasted Years, shows that they were the real deal (as well as a major influence on future raunch-rockers Guns N' Roses). Nearly all of the band's best tracks are included here, such as Back to Mystery City, Motorvatin', Mental Beat, and Taxi Driver. Also included is a triple-shot encore of cover songs: Alice Cooper's Under My Wheels, the Stooges' I Feel Alright (aka 1970), and the Yardbirds/Aerosmith standard Train Kept A-Rollin'.

SOME GIRLS WANDER BY MISTAKE, a title taken from a Leonard Cohen lyric, and the title for the album that comprises the earliest days of The Sisters of Mercy's career, before signing to WEA in 1984. Featuring everything from their very first single, 1980's 'The Damage Done', debuted on the band's own Merciful Release label, through their early indie rise to cult acclaim with 'Alice', 'Temple of Love' and The Reptile House EP.

Continuing the series of 'era' box set releases, we will be compiling these Merciful Release recordings into the 'Some Girls Wander By Mistake' box for release this September; featuring the original album, on 180g double LP, plus two 12 singles taken from that era Temple of Love (1992) and Under the Gun. The 12 EPs will also include the 1992 version of 'Temple Of Love' featuring Ofra Haza, the Canadian Club Mix of 'Vision Thing' (their final official recording), 'Under The Gun' featuring Terri Nunn of Berlin fame plus a 1993, re-recorded version of 1982's 'Alice'.

    Rip This

A perfect form of release - it heaps up mounds of
high tension, but in the most cathartic and enjoyable
    possible way. - NPR

A punk-fired garage tinkerer handy with all the tools
one needs to jury-rig some tasty rock nuggets - SPIN

A pungent, effective collision of garage rock- bashing
    and Ramones sneer
    - NY Times

When Bass Drum of Death started touring the rock club circuit
outside Oxford, Mississippi, several years ago, there was a legitimate
concern that the band's appeal might be limited to fans of the
garage scene. With a seemingly never-ending series of tour dates,
BDoD nonetheless transformed rooms full of normally
too-cool-to-rock indie crowds into a mob of sweaty, stage-diving
maniacs. Meanwhile, Madison Avenue, eager to cash in on hip
cachet, took notice. Since the release of 2011's GB City, "Get Found"
has been featured in FOX promos for the NASCAR season. Rockstar
Games' megaseller Grand Theft Auto V helped to promote last
year's self-titled album. Gamers terrorized the freeways of Los
Santos, living out their cops-and-robbers fantasies, as "Crawling
After You" blasted through their car stereo speakers. Bass Drum of
Death are teetering on the brink of reaching a mainstream audience,
and Rip This is their attempt to record an unapologetic rock album
for people outside their normal fan base.

In the past, BDoD brainchild John Barrett wrote and recorded all the
material and toured with a revolving lineup of hired guns on drums
and guitar. This time around, drummer Len Clark joins Barrett as a
full-time member and collaborator. The duo began discussing plans
for a new record when touring with Unknown Mortal Orchestra in
2013. Barrett and Clark then convinced UMO bassist Jacob Portrait
to take on the role of producer when the band booked a session in
March at Prairie Sun Studios in Sonoma County, California. With a
few rough demos, Barrett, Clark, and Portrait hunkered down for two
weeks and cranked out the band's first proper studio album. Rip This
retains BDoD's trademark sorry-for-partyin' swagger while
scrapping the crackling hiss and lo-fi fuzz. The result is an record
that still relies on an obliterating attack of heavy guitars, danceable
hooks, and kinetic drumming, but will appeal as much to KISS fans
as the music freaks and geeks who worship Nuggets. Both a
challenge to music critics and a rock call-to-arms, the title says it all.
You're not going to hear many records this year that rip like this, so
shotgun a beer, tune in, and turn up.

    I'm Glad I'm Not Me

Critically acclaimed indie rockers Born Cages will release their debut studio album, I'm Glad I'm Not Me, via Washington Square/Razor & Tie.

I'm Glad I'm Not Me was recorded at Mission Sound (Metric, Arctic Monkeys, Matt & Kim) in Brooklyn, NY and was produced by Jon Kaplan (Cage The Elephant, Walk The Moon) and co-produced by Born Cages' lead singer Vlad Holiday. On the album, Holiday, bassist/keyboardist Matt Maroulakos and drummer Dave Tantao conjure festival-ready, truly modernist modern rock that is every bit as grand as its song titles would predict: "Bigger Than Me." "I Just Want The Truth, Baby." "Don't Look Back." "Finding Beauty in a Broken World."

I'm Glad I'm Not Me touches on rock, electronic, dance, alternative and everything in between, reaching listeners thought to be quarantined from each other. It's a record celebrating togetherness in fractious times, music that finds commonalities rather than chasms. Throughout, Born Cages play with an urgency that posits their music as something essential. I'm Glad I'm Not Me embraces its punchy hooks, economic arranging and distinct kind of New York City disillusionment; it's the despondency of being told your mere existence in the city is a sign of having "made it" and still feeling alone amongst the millions.

The album is the follow up to their critically acclaimed 2013 EP release, The Sidelines EP. Vice Noisey describes the band's music as a "blend of 80s-influenced synth/guitar work and modern pop-rock sounds," and Blackbook raved, "More than a decade after the riff-heavy heyday of The Strokes, The Vines, The White Stripes, The Hives, and many other bands that put the word "the" before a plural noun, we may be ready for another bout of ripping revivalism Born Cages, certainly makes that argument." The Born Cages Daytrotter Session made the Top 50 of 2014 list.

Lead singer and guitarist Vlad Holiday formed Born Cages in 2011 and the group dove head-first into New York City's eclectic indie rock movement. He is joined by Matt Maroulakos on bass/keyboards and Dave Tantao on drums. The band has shared bills with a bevy of acts such as Hockey, Magic Man, X Ambassadors, Gold Fields, Royal Teeth, Said The Whale, Donald Cumming (of The Virgins), Public Access TV, JD Samson (of Le Tigre) and Har Mar Superstar. They were even handpicked by Guns N' Roses to be the sole support band on two sold out GN'R club shows.

    Skid Row (Awaiting Repress)

FIRST TIME LIMITED EDITION AUDIOPHILE VINYL RELEASE OF THIS 6 X PLATINUM METAL CLASSIC!!!

Mastered by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music and Capitol Mastering, Hollywood From The Original Atlantic Records Tapes

Skid Row has been making very loud and credible heavy metal rock albums now for over two decades. The New Jersey quintet built a local club following throughout the late eighties and flourished into a mega-platinum recording act for Atlantic Records with their debut smash recording Skid Row.

The Skid Row album features eleven hard hitting rock masterworks like their top charting hit singles 18 And Life and I Remember You as well as a plethora of metal radio classics like Big Guns, Can't Stand The Heartache, Here I Am and the prog-metal album closer Midnight/Tornado.

Featuring the dynamic vocals of Sebastian Bach, the dual guitar attack of Dave "The Snake" Sabo and Scotti Hill, the blistering bass of Rachel Bolan and the powerful drum work of Rob Affuso, this Skid Row album is still the go to choice for many heavy metal fans as the band continues to be a major force in the music industry.

When Skid Row was released in 1989, the compact disc and cassette were the dominant media of the day, and
the original vinyl album release went on to become a highly priced collector's item chasing hundreds for a mint copy.

Relayer Friday Music is very pleased to announce another heavy metal classic with the debut top five, six million selling album Skid Row by Skid Row. Mastered from the original Atlantic Records tapes by Joe "Heavy Metal Kid" Reagoso (Deep Purple/Alice Cooper), this first time audiophile vinyl release will be one of the most anticipated heavy metal audiophile releases this summer.

    Santa Cruz

Reared on a hefty diet of 80's glam rock Americana á la Guns N' Roses and such, Santa Cruz are a rock 'n' roll sensation, who, despite their very young age have hosted numerous rock clubs of their own in their native Hellsinki Rock City, scoring hordes of stark-raving-mad fans and reaping attention and endorsements from peers and media alike. The German rock magazine Stalker even recommends it to their readers that they plan their Finnish vacations around Santa Cruz's tour dates.
If there ever was a band that looks completely out of place in their hometown, it would have to be Santa Cruz. Whereas contemplating suicide in a snowdrift, drunk out of one's skull, comes naturally for the inherently dark and brooding Finns, something as sunny, positive and unlawfully h-h-h-hot as Santa Cruz shouldn't probably be even possible on these semi-Arctic ice-ridden shores! It's just that tracks like "High on You" with its shimmering harmonies, rabidly energetic "Let's Get the Party Started" and "Aiming High" which probably possesses the sickest guitar riff in Finnish rock and metal this side of 1986, will prove to you, the Santa Cruz brand of rock 'n' roll works like an intravenous shot of Adrenaline! The top-notch songwriting and guitar chops from Hell will leave your jaws ajar and with Archie's unbridled yelps, at times you'd be willing to bet your cojones that it's the ghost of Bill Bailey singing - no small feat considering that Mr. Bailey is still very much alive! No wonder the Santa Cruz gigs are infamous of getting a wee bit unhinged at times!

Without further ado, let's round it out with the endorsement of a guy who knows what the f**k he's talking about: "Never mind that they are young, 'cuz the matter of the fact is, that Santa Cruz definitely sticks out from all these retro hair metal bands running around nowadays. Not only do they have the attitude and the looks, but most importantly they sure as hell know how to play and the songs along with the awesome guitar playing pretty much makes me wanna bang my head in two pieces when I see them play live. And after all that's what it's all about. End of fucking story!!!" -Alexi Laiho / CHILDREN OF BODOM

Play It Strange (Discontinued) (On Sale)

In The Red is proud to announce the release of the new full-length from San Francisco's Fresh & Onlys, Play It Strange. After two albums (on Castle Face and Woodsist, respectively) and too many singles and EPs to count, The Fresh & Onlys deliver their most solid outing yet. Recorded by studio whiz Tim Green during an eight-day session, Play It Strange marks the band's first recording in an actual recording studio. On 2 analog tape! The results are nothing short of incredible. For those unfamiliar with The Fresh & Onlys, their sound draws from jangly psychedelia, Morricone-style Western twang, dark vibes a la Bad Seeds/Gun Club, melodic '60s sunshine pop and a hint of garage rock swagger.
