    The Score

Ranked 477/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The Fugees' breakout sophomore album, The Score, propelled the group to worldwide superstar status and garnered a 1997 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, Best R&B Performance for Killing Me Softly and a nomination for Album Of The Year. Wyclef, Pras and Lauryn Hill transcend hip hop cliches here with musical eclecticism, a social consciousness and pop smarts that help make it one of the most distinctive hip-hop albums of its era.

    The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill

Ranked 312/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' is the critically and commercially acclaimed solo album by female Fugee Lauryn Hill. Originally released on August 25th, 1998, it has been widely praised for its seamless fusion of R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae, Gospel, and Neo-Soul. The songs vary in style, but make for a cohesive album. In 1999, the album garnered 10 Grammy nominations at the 41st Grammy Awards. When Hill won 5 Grammies that night, her achievement made her the first female to receive that many in one night. The album includes collaborations with soul singer D'Angelo on Nothing Even Matters; guitarist Carlos Santana on To Zion; singer Mary J. Blige on I Used to Love Him and well as then little-known John Legend playing the piano on Everything is Everything.

Over 10 years after its original release Hill's debut solo album has proven to stand the test of time easily.

Featuring Mystery Of Iniquity, Oh Jerusalem And The Conquering Lion

Lauryn Hill is best known for being a member of The Fugees and for her critically acclaimed solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, which won numerous awards, broke several sales records and was listed by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest albums of all time.

The acoustic MTV Unplugged No. 2.0 double album from Lauryn Hill came nearly 4 years after the first solo album and gives an insight into her deeper thoughts and emotions about her life, artist, the judicial system (in Mystery Of Iniquity) and spiritual side. Lengthy intros, conversations, and deeply personal songs like Conquering Lion accompanied with her acoustic guitar, with the audience add to the intimate performance in her typical raspy voice.

The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and her song Mystery Of Iniquity was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Female Rap Solo Performance and used as an interpolation by Kanye West for his single All Falls Down. Great acoustic songs like Adam Lives In Theory, Oh Jerusalem and I Gotta Find Peace Of Mind complete the album.

MTV Unplugged No 2.0 was her last album and pressed in limited quantities. This reissue comes just in time for its 15th year anniversary in 2017.

    Legendary Debut Album

Featuring The Hit Singles Nappy Heads, Vocab, And Boof Baf

Blunted On Reality is the 1994 debut album by Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel, collectively known as The Fugees. The album contains less political lyrics than their second album The Score, but there definitively were political intentions.

As Wyclef Jean described the meaning of the title in an interview: When the cop is messing around with somebody for something that the person didn't do and they try to set 'em up, that makes me blunted on reality. When the government is taking money on arms and that money could be going back to the community it makes me blunted on reality. It's just awareness of what's going on that's what blunted on reality means

The album spawned 3 singles; Nappy Heads, Vocab and Boof Baf and started selling big quantities, eventually reaching gold and platinum status, after the release of their critically acclaimed album The Score in 1996.

    Refugee Camp (Bootleg Versions)

The Fugees were an American Hip Hop group who rose to fame in the mid-1990s. Their repertoire included elements of Hip Hop, Soul and Caribbean music. The members of the group were rapper/singer/producer Wyclef Jean, rapper/singer/producer Lauryn Hill, and rapper Pras Michel.

The group recorded two albums - one of which, The Score from 1996 [MOVLP068] was a multi-Platinum and Grammy-winning success. In 2007, MTV ranked them the 9th greatest Hip Hop group of all time.

Refugee Camp (Bootleg Versions) is a remix album of a song selection from their 1994 debut Blunted On Reality and follow-up The Score, released in 1996. The album features eight tracks, including seven remixes, and one new recording. The album peaked at #127 on the Billboard 200 in the United States.

    Heavy Window

After three LPs and a clutch of 45s, Southern Indiana's Apache Dropout have
loosened an adherence to the divine mono sound and forged a scaly stereo
technique for HEAVY WINDOW This is a deeper, blown out swagger of peer-less
rock 'n' roll filtered through a lush three-dimensional spectrum.

These 11 songs hoist Sonny Blood as one of today's finest guitarist/writers stewed in
the melodic tonic of Sir Winston & The Commons and his own fug'ed 'n' frenzied,
black-out solos. Overdubbed and bounced between tracks until saturation set in,
Sonny's fuzz drenches the caveman rhythms into a timeless sound poetry smacking
onto our suffering, circumstance and flesh. Yet this trio's songs about conspiracies,
revolutionaries and paranoia remain maverick, compact pop songs tethered to a
    chorus and groove.

Just as their self-titled debut snapped heads back, Apache Dropout has proven again
they can rescore the garage rock aesthetic and remain undisputed purveyors of true
    lysergic North American boogie.

Formed in 2008, Apache Dropout have toured the sub-U.S. underground insistently
while chaste to their uncompromising, out-of-step vision. After previous full-lengths
on Trouble In Mind and Family Vineyard, Apache Dropout return to Magnetic South,
the imprint of their debut single and the publishing arm of their analogue studio, for
this LP/CD release. John Dawson recorded this album at the Bloomington, Indiana
    studio during fall 2013.

    IV

Dub Trio is back with their fourth and most powerful album to date, IV, an overwhelming blend of sounds, styles and ideas that come out swinging, and hit harder than ever. Can metal coexist with dubs bass heavy rhythms? Dub Trios newest album proves that not only can such incongruities coexist, but that in the right hands they flourish!

With IV the band succeeds dramatically at emphasizing the theories, emotions, sounds and concepts of their current musical exploration. IV finds the members playing multiple instruments, tweaking, turning and torturing knobs, cutting and chopping the audio itself, and shaping the compositions to create their own unique interpretation of dub as an art form.

As go-to live musicians for both Mike Patton and Matisyahu, Dub Trio has also worked closely with Lady Gaga as her original showcasing band, 50 Cent and G-Unit, Mary J. Blige, Tupac, Yoko Ono, The Fugees, Lauryn Hill, Mos Def, Mobb Deep, and many more.

Up and Down (Mono) (Out Of Stock)

Horace Parlan had a great knack in selecting musicians for his Blue Note sessions; some regular collaborators, other times - mix and match. This June 1961 date is no exception. The set showcases a fine balance of hard bop and soul-jazz with just the right amount of blues thrown in. Leading the charge in Booker Ervin's tenor and guitarist Grant Green. Filling it out are drummer Al Harewood, George Tucker's bass as well as Parlan's pianistics. Six new tunes including charts by Parlan (title tune), Ervin (The Book's Beat), Tucker (Fugee), Green (The Other Part Of Town) plus Light Blue by Stanley Turrentine, allow everyone plenty of time and space to have their say and then bring it home.
