1970-1975: You Can Make Me Dance, Sing Or Anything...

The YOU CAN MAKE ME DANCE, SING OR ANYTHING (1970-1975) LP set includes: The First Step (1970), Long Player (1971), A Nod Is as Good as a Wink to a Blind Horse (1971), and Ooh La La (1973), and features unreleased bonus tracks included with each album. Despite their hard-partying reputation, the band was a formidable powerhouse and could play it all-blues, soul, funk, country and boogie. These albums showcase that incredible range from bar stool anthems like "Had Me A Real Good Time," "Miss Judy's Farm," and "Stay With Me," to tender ballads that will leave you crying in your beer like "Ooh La La," "Love Lives Here" and "Glad And Sorry." In addition to the studio albums, the collection also features a bonus disc that gathers up nine essential tracks that didn't appear on proper albums, including the 1973 single "Pool Hall Richard," a live performance of the Temptations' "I Wish It Would Rain" from the 1973 Reading Festival, and "Dishevelment Blues," a song that came free as a flexi-disc in copies of the British music publication, New Music Express.

Snakes And Ladders: The Best of Faces

Celebrate 4 Decades Of Rod Stewart/faces With Their Greatest Hits LP From 1976!!

First Time 180 Gram Vinyl Presentation

Mastered From The Original Warner Bros. Tapes

In 1976, superstars Rod Stewart/Faces were rewarded by their label Warner Bros. with their first
greatest hits album, Snakes and Ladders/The Best of Faces. Featuring the classic line-up of Rod Stewart,
Ronnie Wood (The Rolling Stones), Kenney Jones (Small Faces, The Who, The Law), Ronnie Lane (Small
Faces), Ian McLagan (Small Faces, Bonnie Raitt) and Tetsu Yamamuchi, the Snakes and Ladders album
has become one of their most loved works in their stunning gold and platinum career.

With hard pub-rock classics like Stay With Me and Around the Plynth and brilliant rock standards
like Ooh La La and Flying, the Snakes and Ladders album would go on to become one of the best-selling
albums in their extensive catalog. The long out of print original version of this greatest hits masterpiece
also includes the only appearance of the super rare Pineapple and the Monkey.

Dig deeper into the grooves and there you find even more rock and blues belters like the masterful
Miss Judy's Farm, the powerful rocker Had Me a Real Good Time, plus the English folk-rock ballad Sweet
Lady Mary, making Snakes and Ladders/The Best of Faces one of the finest overviews ever of this sorely
    missed supergroup.

Therefore it is with much excitement to announce the first time 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl release
of the legendary Rod Stewart/Faces greatest hits masterpiece Snakes and Ladders/The Best of Faces.
Mastered impeccably by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios and Capitol Mastering, this stunning LP was
long overdue for an audiophile vinyl release.

In addition to all the great album tracks, this collection also gathers up rare single only tracks like You
Can Make Me Dance, Sing or Anything, truly making this LP the five star masterwork that it is. We believe
this wonderful new audiophile release of Snakes and Ladders/The Best of Faces will become one of the
most anticipated classic rock releases of the summer!

Stewart's Band Includes His Faces Mates: Ron Wood, Ian McLagan Shine

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's World-Renowned Mastering System and Pressed at RTI (The Best Plant in America): LP Boasts Organic Warmth and Full-Range Extension

Rod Stewart owned the early 1970s. When he wasn't recording great sets with the Faces, he was redefining how folk, country, and soul music could be folded under rock's umbrella. Filled with first-rate originals and terrific interpretations of classics, Every Picture Tells A Story remains Stewart's watershed moment, a brilliant synthesis of organic warmth, earthy tones, raucous romance, and loose performances. Those who only know Stewart from his later evolution into a sappy balladeer will be overwhelmed.

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's world-renowned mastering system and pressed at RTI (the best record plant in America), MoFi Silver Labels' numbered limited edition LP presents the 1971 smash in the most transparent, warm, and full-range sound the music has ever enjoyed. Stewart's supremely soulful vocals come on with insouciant passion and joyous persuasion, the detail allowing listeners to hear into his lungs and feel every breath he draws. His equally superb band is presented amidst an expanded soundstage that's free of artificial ceilings and harshness introduced by several digital remastering editions. The explosive sound is akin to watching a fledgling group come into its own in a small club.

Kicking up the tempo and slightly increasing the edge from his previous solo effort, Stewart transforms blues, folk, country, and soul into a hard-rocking hybrid that maintains acoustic properties but isn't afraid to step out and report on what it's like to have a night out on the town. Anchored by Mick Waller's free-swinging percussion, every song triumphs, with Stewart's slightly hoarse and eminently emotive vocals communicating each word as if they're literally sewn as hearts on his sleeve. Ron Wood's slide guitar and gritty chords complement the singer's earnest conviction, and Ian McLagan's organ adds bittersweet accents. Nothing here is blue; Every Picture Tells A Story is a celebration.

Stewart combines American and British folk styles on the strolling Mandolin Wind, the touching song epitomizing the simple, direct approach that underpins the entire album. On the breathless title track, Stewart embraces his inner playboy, the tune's likable crude-and-rude swagger sent up on crackling rhythms and visceral harmonies. The British native handles Bob Dylan's Tomorrow Is A Long Time and the evergreen That's All Right as if he wrote them. The best aspect of Every Picture Tells A Story relates to how genuine and believable Stewart and his good-natured company sound throughout.

If you are a fan of rock, soul, folk, or the blues, you owe it to yourself to have a superb copy of this timeless record that shows off its translucent and organic tones, extraordinary vocal performances, and crack backing band. Mobile Fidelity's Silver Label numbered limited edition LP does just that. And it restores one of the most iconic album covers in history. As for that Classic Edition statement that's always hovered at the top of the record? Never truer than now.

    Gasoline Alley

Gasoline Alley follows the same formula of Rod Stewart's first album, intercutting contemporary covers with slightly older rock & roll and folk classics and originals written in the same vein. The difference is in execution. Stewart sounds more confident, claiming Elton John's Country Comfort, the Small Faces' My Way of Giving, and the Rolling Stones' version of It's All Over Now with a ragged, laddish charm. Like its predecessor, nearly all of Gasoline Alley is played on acoustic instruments -- Stewart treats rock & roll songs like folk songs, reinterpreting them in individual, unpredictable ways. For instance, It's All Over Now becomes a shambling, loose-limbed ramble instead of a tight R&B/blues groove, and Cut Across Shorty is based around a howling, Mideastern violin instead of a rockabilly riff. Of course, being a rocker at heart, Stewart doesn't let these songs become limp acoustic numbers -- these rock harder than any fuzz-guitar workout. The drums crash and bang, the acoustic guitars are pounded with a vengeance -- it's a wild, careening sound that is positively joyous with its abandon. And on the slow songs, Stewart is nuanced and affecting -- his interpretation of Bob Dylan's Only a Hobo is one of the finest Dylan covers, while the original title track is a vivid, loving tribute to his adolescence. And that spirit is carried throughout Gasoline Alley. It's an album that celebrates tradition while moving it into the present and never once does it disown the past.

I've Got My Own Album To Do

I've Got My Own Album To Do is the first solo album by Ron Wood, released in September 1974. An all-star project recorded outside of his activities with the Faces. Wood has said that the album title originated from contributors such as George Harrison and Mick Jagger nagging me to let them go home and finish their own projects.

During this period, Wood assisted Jagger in writing and recording the Rolling Stones' 1974 single It's Only Rock 'n Roll, while Jagger reciprocated by helping Wood with this album's opening track, I Can Feel the Fire. Keith Richards was another participant at the sessions, in addition to performing concerts in London with Wood to promote the release.

Wood's collaboration with Harrison, Far East Man, was re-recorded by Harrison and appeared on the former Beatle's Dark Horse album three months after the release of I've Got My Own Album To Do. Other musicians on the record include Rod Stewart, fellow Faces Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones, Mick Taylor of the Rolling Stones, and the all-American rhythm section of Willie Weeks and Andy Newmark.

Let's Face The Music And Dance

This year Willie Nelson turns 80 years old, a milestone which has not slowed down the American icon in the slightest. Following the success of 2012's Heroes, which debuted at #18 on the album charts (his highest chart debut in over 20 years), Willie returns with another brand new album featuring a selection of songs that are near and dear to him and his band "The Family." Like the man himself, this stunning collection is not easily dened as a set genre or style. They include American standards and country classics, Irving Berlin and Carl Perkins, Django Reinhart as well as Willie-penned originals. Yet the result is a beautiful, cohesive set - songs about love and reection - in Willie's inimitable style. It is a record in the vein of both Stardust and RedHeaded Stranger and destined to become a classic.

    Corridor Of Faces

Limited To 500 Copies On Translucent Clear/Green Vinyl

In a genre built on obscured and unsung genius, Corridor Of Faces transcends and stands out as a true psych masterpiece. Rising above any number of recently unearthed late-60s anglo-pop platters, the sole offering from small town Massachusetts phenomenon Lazy Smoke is a cohesive, solid, classic album in every sense. Ten songs that weave into one-another, painting some beautifully drifting sonic pictures as they go.

    Doodoo Face

When Wallpaper first emerged in 2005, the project was Eric Frederic's way of making earnest, artful music while satirizing the lack of genuine sentiment in mainstream pop. Then, the music was composed on computers and the lyrics were delivered strictly in Auto-Tune (almost unheard of at the time), further emphasizing the sterility of hackneyed song themes. In the four years since, as Wallpaper's become a genuine phenomenon via three well-loved EP's and an unforgettable live show.

The music of Doodoo Face is a significant step forward for Wallpaper. As established by his recent live-band remixes for Passion Pit and Das Racist, Frederic's become ace at merging the organic into the electronic. These are huge beats with infinite intricacy, the perfect tribute to Frederic's oldest influences: P-Funk, Afrobeat, and the panoply of Bay Area rap. From the cavernous thump and honking sax of opener Indecent to the warped hyphy of ddd to Doodoo Face, this is dark, nasty, load-bearing booty funk of the Oakland house party variety.

Vinyl LP comes packaged with fireworks glasses that make the cover appear to be exploding like fireworks and digital download code.
