    The Three Tenors 25th Anniversary

The Three Tenors is a name given to the Spanish singers Plácido Domingo and JosÉ Carreras and the Italian singer Luciano Pavarotti, who sang in concert under this banner during the 1990s and early 2000s. The trio began their collaboration with a performance at the ancient Baths of Caracalla, in Rome, Italy, on 7 July 1990 the eve of the 1990 FIFA World Cup Final. Zubin Mehta conducted the orchestra of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the orchestra of Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.

    In Defiance Of Empty Times

Legendary melodic punk rockers Strike Anywhere have pieced together a live
acoustic collection, titled In Defiance of Empty Times, that is set to be released
on August 14th from Bridge Nine Records. Two sets were recorded last year,
in Rochester in July and Richmond in September, and merged together for this
very special release. Side Rochester features six songs captured from Strike
Anywhere s acoustic performance alongside labelmates Polar Bear Club, while
Side Richmond was recorded during a benefit show for the IWW on the eve
of the Occupy Movement in RVA. This album follows the release of Strike
Anywheres landmark album Iron Front, which was released on Bridge Nine in
October of 2009 and called the bands best output to date by Punknews.org.

    Weightless (Awaiting Repress)

When unknown virtuoso guitarist Tosin Abasi released his debut solo album under the moniker Animals As Leaders in 2009, few would have predicted the band's meteoric rise over the next two years. Although Abasi earned acclaim as the lead guitarist in the Washington, D.C.-based metalcore act Reflux, it was still a long-shot that an instrumental album of progressive metal with jazz, electronic and ambient flourishes would develop anything more than a cult following.

Now, on the eve of the release of Weightless, the group's sophomore effort, Animals As Leaders is revered worldwide as a trailblazing pioneer of modern heavy music. Whereas the group's self-titled debut was a collaboration between Abasi and Periphery's Misha Mansoor, Weightless features the recording debut of Animals As Leaders as a true band. After nearly two years of touring together, the new trio wrote and recorded Weightless together in mid-2011, with drummer Naven Koperweis producing and guitarist Javier Reyes mixing.

The End (Box Set) (Awaiting Repress)

Six 180 Gram LP Box Set (Also Includes Six CD Versions)

CD & DVD Of The Band's Final Performance On December 31st, 2015

Includes A Hardcover Book, Autographed Lithograph Photo Prints Of The Band, Exclusive Mick Mars Guitar Picks And A Commemorative Final Tour VIP Laminate Pass

Just in time for the holiday season, legendary rock band, MÖTLEY CRÜE have something special for their fans in the form of a box set, Mötley CrÜe: The End, available via Eleven Seven Music.

The box set will chronicle the span of their 35-year career with the inclusion of six LPs and CDs, packaged within a hardcover photo book, of Too Fast for Love (1981), Shout At The Devil (1983), Theatre of Pain (1985), Girls, Girls, Girls (1987), Dr. Feelgood (1989), Saints of Los Angeles (2008), and conclude with a live audio CD and DVD of the band's final performance to a sold-out Los Angeles Staples Center arena on December 31, 2015. Also included are four exclusive, autographed lithograph photo prints of the band, four exclusive Mick Mars guitar picks and a commemorative 'Final Tour' VIP laminate pass.

The last night of the 'Final Tour' DVD is a must-have keep-sake for any Mötley CrÜe fan. The spectacular final concert at Staples Center in their hometown of Los Angeles, CA, on New Year's Eve in 2015, just a few miles from the Sunset Strip where the band's infamous and decadent career first launched, can now be relived! The band thrilled the sold-out arena with performances of such mega-hits as "Kickstart My Heart," "Girls, Girls, Girls," "Home Sweet Home" and "Dr. Feelgood." While not everyone was able to see their final show live, CrÜe fans can now catch all the action via DVD in the comfort of their home. In addition to the epic concert footage, viewers will be treated to exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the band's last show ever.

In January, 2014, Mötley CrÜe held a press conference announcing their Final Tour, complete with a "cessation of touring" agreement signed by all members prohibiting any and all future live engagements under the Mötley CrÜe name. Mötley CrÜe's two-year concert trek, saw the band - Vince Neil (vocals), Mick Mars (guitars), Nikki Sixx (bass) and Tommy Lee (drums) - perform across five continents (North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Asia) for a total of more than 164 shows in 72 markets grossing over $100 million. Known for their over-the-top production, Mötley CrÜe did not disappoint for their last show ever on New Year's Eve: from massive, cutting-edge pyro, including Nikki Sixx's bass guitar spitting fire over 30 ft. into the air, and Tommy Lee's "CrÜecifly" drum roller coaster, amongst many other spectacular elements.

Lead singer, Vince Neil, delivered an emotional, "thank you" speech to the audience, while the band supplied next-level, high-octane fueled energy, ringing in the New Year on stage with thousands of balloons raining down on the crowd. The grand finale of the show included a blow-out performance of their hit single, "Kickstart My Heart" with Nikki Sixx and Vince Neil floating above the audience in far-reaching "cherry-pickers." Leaving fans in tears, the show concluded with an emotional encore rendition of "Home Sweet Home" from the second stage riser in the center of the audience.

    Soul Christmas

Soul Christmas is just what is says: a collection of songs featuring R&B legends such as Otis Redding, Carla Thomas, Solomon Burke, Joe Tex, Clarence Carter, William Bell, King Curtis, and Booker T. & the MG's. This is not a compilation of mostly traditional Christmas tunes. Apart from nods to time-honored classics like White Christmas (gloriously reinterpreted by Redding), Booker T.'s perky Jingle Bells, and the R&B favorite What Are You Doing New Year's Eve (featuring sax man King Curtis at his bluesy best, along with a guitar solo by Duane Allman), the songs are all tailor-made originals that fit the style of the respective artists. Thus, Carter's Back Door Santa is a hilariously salacious cut; Tex gives us a preacherlike I'll Make Everyday Christmas (For My Woman); and Thomas is at her most cute and innocent with Gee Whiz, It's Christmas. Redding's version of Merry Christmas Baby (a hit for Johnny Moore's Three Blazers) is an obvious standout, while Bell's Everyday Will Be Like a Holiday is the only bona fide charted single (albeit back in January 1968). --David Nathan

    A Thousand Suns (Awaiting Repress)

For months, we'd been destroying and rebuilding our band. The experiments that resulted filled the studio hard drive with diverse, abstract sounds. Amorphous echoes, cacophonous samples, and handmade staccato merged into wandering, elusive melody. Each track felt like a hallucination.

We didn't know if any of those unorthodox ideas could be incorporated into a traditional album, but we knew we didn't want our next album to be predictable. Sitting together in the same studio where we made our first album, all six of us voiced a commitment to going out on a limb, to making something truly daring. We asked ourselves: were we all earnestly willing, more than ever before, to abandon the precepts of commercial ambition in pursuit of what we believe to be honest art?

The inclination to begin writing conventional songs for a conventional album came and went. The temptation to adjust our creative vision to fulfill expectations beyond our studio walls yielded to the audacious ambition of what he hoped to achieve as a band. The two years of making A Thousand Suns marked our exhilarating, surrealistic, and often challenging journey into the creative unknown.

On the eve of its completion, this body of work, assembled through unconscious inspiration and unmitigated exertion, has revealed to us notions both stirring and surprising. The album's personified imagery is neither dogma nor political premeditation. The emergent themes and metaphors illuminate a uniquely human story.

A Thousand Suns grapples with the personal cycle of pride, destruction, and regret. In life, like in dreams, this sequence is not always linear. And, sometimes, true remorse penetrates the devastating cycle. The hope, of course, springs from the notion that the possibility of change is born in our most harrowing moments. - Linkin Park

    With The Dead

    Import

Supergroup is such an erroneous term - images of bored playboys pissing on their legacy spring to mind - but the members of With The Dead have a history of creating criminally good records as long as your arm. They've all served hard time in the subterranean worlds of Doom and the heaviest forms of Metal and have now reconvened to surpass previous projects. They're back - and this time the aim is To maim.

With The Dead were formed by the founding rhythm section of occultist Doom overloads Electric Wizard: guitarist/bassist Tim Bagshaw and drummer Mark Greening, a pair once notorious for the sheer brute heaviness of their bowel-shaking sound and early extra-curricular activities that involved excess, injury and low-level criminality (arrests for the theft of a crucifix from a church roof and drunkenly robbing an off-licence to name but two). Both have also played together in Ramesses.

Completing the triangle is frontman Lee Dorrian, co-founder of Doom pioneers Cathedral, former frontman with grindcore legends Napalm Death and owner of Rise Above Records, the UK's finest independent purveyors of all sounds heavy and underground, whose stable of bands include Ghost, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Lucifer, Blood Ceremony and Witchcraft. Having been in business since 1988, Rise Above is also one of the most enduring.

Existing doom-heads will already know that the longstanding relationship between Rise Above and Electric Wizard is one that was fractious and fraught. Much mud has been slung between band, label and former members in recent years, but the With The Dead trio are of the opinion that big words meant little - it's the action that truly counts. And as the fire that is Electric Wizard peters out, With The Dead burn with eyebrow-singeing intensity. With The Dead are heavy. No - scratch that. With The Dead are heavy. H.E.A.V.Y!!! They are a band with teeth and talons.

Like the product of some sort of alchemical alignment or a diabolical modern demon summoned by a whispered incantatory spell, With The Dead formed on All Hallow's Eve 2014. They worked quickly and the result is a six-track, self-titled debut broadside
that draws on the members' rich musical legacy but without ever taking a backward step. Rising like a fecund creature from the fetid bogs of old England, With The Dead is a malevolent beast that lurches and staggers, flattening everything in its path. Guitars moil and curdle, bubbling up through the loam like black tar, while existing fans will surely welcome the return of Dorrian's distinctly hateful vocals.

featuring twelve songs, a mix of traditional favorites and original material.

charts last year reaching #1 on the Jazz Album Chart on both iTunes and Amazon and was the highest debut on the Billboard Jazz Chart entering at #2.

It Feels Like Christmas Time, produced by BBVD founding member and lead singer Scotty Morris with band-mate, pianist and arranger Joshua Levy and

and features guest harmonies by vocal group She, Her and I as well as a duet with newcomer Anna Kasper on the classic What Are You Doing New

LETTER CONCERNING THE RECORD 'IV' AND A POST SCRIPT TO FANS

A lot can happen in twelve years. It is beyond probable (if not brutally unavoidable) that such a period of time could render a man nearly unrecognizable to his older self. I would not categorize the young man who made three records under the pen name 'Darling' (incidentally, me) as unrecognizable, but I can say perhaps that we are vaguely disassociated. Those 3 albums, written between 1999 and 2005 and recorded anywhere except a recording studio (the bulk being tracked in my bedroom and parents' garage) follow the exceedingly lonesome course of a kid barely out of high school through a shaky introduction to manhood. They were recorded alone (with cheap microphones) composed alone (with expensive sentimentality), defined by loving befuddlement, and darkened by an all-consuming breakup. I look at them now with an appreciation for where I was, with no small measure of gratitude that I am no longer there. What has not changed however, is that there are still songs that come along which make sense in my mind as fitting only on a 'Darling' record. Truthfully, in the decade-plus that has passed since I last released a solo piece, there have been many songs of this nature. Consequently I have written, designed, edited, and put this record out many times in my mind. Inevitably, however, life would change and the conceptual direction would change with it. It is changing now as I write this. But after twelve birthdays, twelve New Year's Eve's, and twelve winters, I have a portrait I am compelled to commit to the canon of self-portraits.

I am no longer the kid with all that worry, that blaring hurt and rum-fueled uncertainty. I am somewhere else now. But I still sit in my bedroom, quietly following songs where they take me, using them to process what is happening in my life. I have often declared to myself, that I would not leave the 'Darling' moniker forever tied to what I now regard as a time of young (albeit sincere) melancholy. And while this fourth installment is by no means an offering of pure and bright optimism, it is a statement less heavy with heartache, and hopefully a bit more even-keeled in its manner - whatever the emotional narrative. More importantly, it is a honest glimpse into my story alone and a faithful rendition of what I believe to be a notable chapter.

For those interested in the Darling project:

To say that activity of one form or another relating to my solo work is infrequent would be a bit of an understatement. In truth, as time goes, I am thankfully occupied primarily by the joys of my family and the pleasure of making music with my brother and some of my dearest friends. When, however, there are endeavors of the Darling variety on the horizon, I would be honored to let anyone interested know about it. If you count yourself among this set, please feel free to share your email address below. I can say, as someone who religiously declines giving my email out when a cashier asks for it, and as someone who somehow spends more time unsubscribing from email lists than answering emails, I will ONLY pass the word along when there is a word to pass meaning something significant like an upcoming album or confirmed performance(s). Once again, I realize that giving any part of your contact information out is a significant action, and I believe it should be seen as such. In other words, I won't be arranging for emails to go out about anything but relevant 'Darling' news. As always, thank you for your time and care.

    Sincerely,

    Timothy Seth Avett
