The Sopranos Soundtrack (Colored Vinyl)Red with Black Smoke Colored Vinyl
Available On Vinyl For The First Time Ever! Mastered For Vinyl And Lacquers Created By Kevin Gray, Pressed On 180 Gram Limited Edition Vinyl.
Imagine an album that could contain tracks by Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Elvis Costello, as well as Frank Sinatra, Cream, and Van Morrison. That's part of the lineup on this various-artists sampler of music used in the television series The Sopranos, music that dates from each of the last five decades of the 20th century, from Bo Diddley's 1950s hit ''I'm a Man'' to Eurythmics' ''I've Tried Everything'' from their 1999 reunion album, Peace. Familiar songs like Sinatra's ''It Was a Very Good Year'' are given a new flavor by being sequenced between very different yet oddly complementary songs. The most interesting moments, however, come with the less familiar material -- cast member ''Little Steven'' Van Zandt and the Disciples of Soul's ''Inside of Me,'' Elvis Costello & the Attractions' live take on ''Complicated Shadows,'' Wyclef Jean's rap over Sly & the Family Stone's ''Family Affair'' on ''Blood Is Thicker Than Water,'' which refers specifically to the mafia family story line of the show. The result sounds like an hour with the radio station of your dreams, which is what this kind of album aspires to be. ~ AllMusic Review by William RuhlmanLP1

Upstairs At Eric's (Awaiting Repress) (On Sale)An 80s Landmark: Ex-Depeche Mode Member Vince Clarke and Vocalist Alison Moyet Create Synthpop Classic
Smoky Blues Purring, Cool Jazz Vibes, Disco-Tinged Beats, and Dancefloor Minimalism Add Up to Electropop Genius
All the Grooves Hit the Low-Frequency Targets: LP Mastered on Mobile Fidelitys World-Renowned Mastering System and Pressed at RTI
Includes Hits Don't Go, Situation, and Only You
The 1980s will forever be remembered for electropop sensations, yet few, if any, are quite as sensational as Yazs Upstairs at Erics. A standard-setting mÉlange of smoky blues singing, jazzy arrangements, disco-tinged beats, and dancefloor vibes, the smash debut fits equally as well at a late-night club as it does in a living room, where the records complexity and exoticism takes listeners hostage. No wonder the 1982 landmark remains one of the decades most essential albums.
Mastered on Mobile Fidelitys world-renowned mastering system and pressed at RTI, this numbered limited edition Silver Label LP breathes with a decongested openness, textural richness, and tonal palette never before experienced on previous analog or digital editions. Alison Moyets inimitable vocals, such a huge part of the records appeal, are dramatically enhanced, her sensual timbre, bittersweet crooning, and knockout range now encompassing the full frequency spectrum and projecting outward in a way that traverses the flatness of the original pressings.
Indeed, her bluesy deliveries are at once elegant and exuberant, and give collaborative partner Vince Clarke free range to construct beat architectures that encompass freewheeling disco, house music, uptempo dance, and chilled-out pop. The former Depeche Mode member also layers on elegant keyboard melodies, establishing contagious hooks and electronic-laced landscapes that preceded the techno explosion and do so with a cooler elegance. Tape loops, random field-noise dialogues, and synth-stroked bass notes add to whats nothing less than a perfect collusion of moody paranoia and soulful warmth.
While a cousin to synth-pop LPs by the likes of the Eurythmics, Soft Cell, OMD, and Depeche Mode, Yazs Upstairs at Erics is singular for its chemistry between Moyet and Clarke and an insouciant batch of songs high on emotion, style, and substance.

FlagFlag is a 1988 album by the enterprising and influential Swiss electronica sound-art group Yello consisting of vocalist/conceptualist Dieter Meier and composer/arranger Boris Blank. By far the most successful pop export from their country, Yello has often been mentioned in the same breath as other legendary pop duos like the Pet Shop Boys, Wham, Eurythmics and Sparks.
Known for their signature mix of electronic collage music and manipulated audio-visual vocals, Flag boasts its lion's share of both as heard on the the seminal singles Tied Up, Blazing Saddles and The Race.
Their trans-global studio-trick-sound is a branch of music that defies categorization to this day. What can you possibly call a crossing of avant-garde pop, fake-rap and sound witchcraft with a headstrong mix of funk and humor, pre-techno and snappy woodwinds? You can call it idiosyncratic, eccentric and exceptional to start! 180g audiophile vinyl reissue from Music On Vinyl.1. Tied Up

SuperHeavyNew Supergroup featuring Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone and A.R. Rahman
Mick Jagger has teamed up with Eurythmics founder Dave Stewart, soul singer Joss Stone, Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack composer A.R. Rahman, and reggae star Damian Marley to form a band cooperative project called SuperHeavy. This diverse and eclectic line-up who share eleven Grammy Awards between them, have been recording together in various studios around the world, with the majority of the tracks on the project laid down over three weeks in Los Angeles in early 2011. Tracks include the first single Miracle Worker plus One Day One Night, Energy, Unbelievable, SuperHeavy, I Can't Take It No More, You're Never Gonna Change and I Don't Mind.
It's little wonder that Stewart refers to SuperHeavy as, A mad alchemist type experiment. Fusing the talents of one of the greatest front-men of all time, a two time Academy award winning Indian composer, a soul vocal prodigy, a three-time Grammy winning reggae star, and one of the most sought after producers in the world, you would expect the explosive results to defy categorization.
SuperHeavy came together after Jagger and Stewart considered what a band comprising of musicians from different genres would sound like. Jagger explains, Dave really wanted to make a record with a different group of musicians, in other words, with different backgrounds of music. Instead of everyone being a rock musician, or basically a blues musician, or some other genre, he wanted to get as many genres together that would fit. I said it sounds like a good idea. I never thought it would actually happen.1. Superheavy

Gary Go (Discontinued) (On Sale)With this vinyl release Gary Go's bona fide pop hits are finally making their way to the U.S. Wonderful, the first single, is already climbing the pop charts after topping the charts in the U.K. and Italy. After leaving school at 17, Gary Go worked at a string of record companies and recording studios, like Eurythmic Dave Stewarts Artist Network. Go even interviewed for a job at Peter Gabriels Real World Studios, but was told by Gabriel himself that maybe he should concentrate on songwriting. Luckily, Go took his advice. He traveled to America, where he worked at a New Jersey recording studio and rented a room in Frank Sinatras old house in Hoboken where he composed many of the songs that appear here.
