    Strange Desire

Bleachers will release debut album 'Strange Desire' on RCA Records. The highly anticipated album was written and produced by Grammy Award winning musician Jack Antonoff with co-producer John Hill (MIA, Jay Z, Empire of the Sun) as well as Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode, Yaz, Erasure) and others.

"It's the 2 words that perfectly title what this Bleachers album is as a documentation of my life as I can remember it at this point", wrote Antonoff yesterday afternoon in the Craigslist ad he posted announcing the album title.

Bleachers first single "I Wanna Get Better" has already streamed over 1.5 million times, was deemed "the song of the summer in February" by the Huffington Post and quickly skyrocketed into the top 10 at Alt radio.

Since the Bleachers launch in February critics have been nothing but excited and eager to hear more. Rolling Stone exclaimed "We'll be shocked if it's not all over the radio by spring", TIME raved " it's exciting to imagine what else Antonoff has up his sleeve" and Hilly Dilly proclaimed " this is the kind of music that can't get big enough."

Hailing from New Jersey, 29 year old Jack Antonoff has been in the music scene for over a decade. In 2002, with Jack as the lead singer, the success of New Jersey born indie rock band Steel Train was well underway. Steel Train's cult following lead them to make their national television debut on Late Night With Conan O'Brien and later appeared on Late Show With David Letterman. In 2008, Jack joined Nate Ruess and Andrew Dost to form the Grammy award winning fun.

In addition to being a multi-talented musician, Jack is a critically acclaimed songwriter and producer. His achievements include fun. being honored with the Vanguard Award at the 2014 ASCAP Pop Music Awards and co-writing fun.'s Grammy award winning song "We Are Young" and Grammy nominated album Some Nights. He also received a Golden Globe nomination for his collaboration with Taylor Swift on her song "Sweeter Than Fiction. Jack has also worked with Sara Bareilles, co-writing her Grammy nominated hit "Brave, and Canadian Indie icons Tegan and Sara.

Synth-Pop Classic Featuring Smash Hits Oh L'Amour, Who Needs Love Like That, My Heart ... So Blue

What if Depeche Mode just wanted to dance? Wonderland is the classic 1986 debut of Erasure, formed by songwriter/synth player Vince Clarke and singer Andy Bell. Produced by Flood, Wonderland is accessible and catchy synth pop, but also sharp, emotionally charged and redolent of heartache. Erasure delivered massive hits in the UK and the US with radio and club staples like "Oh L'Amour" and "Who Needs Love Like That." Vince Clarke was a groundbreaking synth-pop pioneer before Wonderland. Prior to forming Erasure, Clarke wrote nearly all of the songs on Depeche Mode's iconic first album, Speak and Spell, before moving on to form Yazoo with Alison Moyet (Yaz in the US). Remarkably Clarke found Andy Bell by placing a newspaper ad. The flamboyant Bell was among pop's first openly gay stars, and his high-pitched voice has a soulful power that's an arresting complement to Clarke's inspired melodies.

Wonderland is sourced from a beautifully preserved 30-ips tapes that say both Master and production copy. You be the judge! What is certain is that these are the best and perhaps the only existing analog tapes for this classic release! When mastering this LP we compared what we were hearing from the tapes to the original US and UK LPs. Mastering notes included with the tapes show that the original LP was bass-limited from 40Hz down. Of course, we restored the wonderfully full bass response that's present on the tapes and mastered wide open with no compression applied. The result is an alive and pulsing beat with foundation like you've never heard- the best Wonderland has ever sounded!

    Tomorrow's World

Mute has announced the first vinyl release of Tomorrow's
World by Erasure, their 14th album originally released in
    2011.

Written by Vince Clarke and Andy Bell in New York,
London, and at Clarke's cabin studio in Maine with
producer Frankmusik (Lady Gaga, Pet Shop Boys), the
release found Erasure settling nicely into that groove that
the best veteran bands often do. With Clarke's vintage
collection of analog synths providing the final touch,
the end result is a collection of electronic songs that
sound contemporary and classic at the same time with
all the hallmarks of vintage Erasure: accessible songs,
    flamboyant vocals and fizzing synths.

    Other People's Songs

Other People's Songs is a cover album by Erasure.

The album was originally conceived as a solo project for singer Andy Bell. Once Vince Clarke, the other member of Erasure, became involved, it was released as Erasure's tenth studio album. The tracks were handpicked by Clarke and Bell as ones that influenced them as musicians. It was originally released in the UK and the U.S. by Mute Records in 2003, and was a Top 20 success in their home country and in Germany.

Other People's Songs gave Erasure their first Top 10 on the UK singles chart in nine years. The album was produced by Erasure with Gareth Jones and Dave Bascombe. Because of Bell's resistance to remaking the classic Video Killed the Radio Star, the verses are sung synthetically by a computer.

    Snow Globe

Mute has announced the first vinyl release of Snow Globe
by Erasure, their 15th album originally released in 2011.

Unlike your typical holiday album, Erasure purposely went
with a "stripped-down" and "eerie" feel to many of the
tracks. Vince Clarke stated, "Everything about Christmas
has been written already. We thought it would be more
interesting to look into the darker side of the season. For
a lot of people, Christmas is not a happy time." The album
was produced with longtime collaborator Gareth Jones
    (Depeche Mode, Wire).

Snow Globe was originally preceded by the first single

    Speak & Spell

From the beginning of their career Depeche Mode have been at the forefront of remix culture; creating their own classic extended mixes back in the early 80s and over the years amassing a collection of remixers of their songs that pretty much charts the history of cutting edge dance music.

Though probably nobody fully appreciated it at the time -- perhaps least of all the band! -- Depeche Mode's debut is at once both a conservative, functional pop record and a groundbreaking release. While various synth pioneers had come before -- Gary Numan, early Human League, late-'70s Euro-disco, and above all Kraftwerk all had clear influence on Speak & Spell -- Depeche became the undisputed founder of straight-up synth pop with the album's 11 songs, light, hooky, and danceable numbers about love, life, and clubs. For all the claims about dated '80s sounds from rock purists, it should be noted that the basic guitar/bass/drums lineup of rock is almost 25 years older than the catchy keyboard lines and electronic drums making the music here. That such a sound would eventually become ubiquitous during the Reagan years, spawning lots of crud along the way, means the band should no more be held to blame for that than Motown and the Beatles for inspiring lots of bad stuff in the '60s. Credit for the album's success has to go to main songwriter Vince Clarke, who would extend and arguably perfect the synth pop formula with Yazoo and Erasure; the classic early singles New Life, Dreaming of Me, and Just Can't Get Enough, along with numbers ranging from the slyly homoerotic Pretty Boy to the moody thumper Photographic, keep everything moving throughout. David Gahan undersings about half the album, and Martin Gore's two numbers lack the distinctiveness of his later work, but Speak & Spell remains an undiluted joy.

    Ultra

Ultra is the ninth studio album by English electronic group Depeche Mode, which was originally released by Mute Records on 14 April 1997

Ultra both reprises an earlier Mode and entices with a taste of Modes to come. The band has wisely left behind the forced arena rock of their last album and evolved towards a more richly nuanced hybrid of conventional and electronic instrumentation. The resulting sound is both engaging in its diversity and surprising in its consistency. The aplomb with which Depeche Mode fuses electronic beats, cascading violins, and guitar hooks into a soulful and coherent whole puts the new techno-geek incarnation of U2 to shame. Where U2's Pop! crashes waves of sound upon the listener, Ultra achieves an equally rich sonic texture through delicacy and understatement.

Lyrically and musically, Ultra depicts the band grappling with its recent scars, particularly Gahan's smack problem. From the self-loathing and acoustic turbulence of Barrel of a Gun, the first sequel, to the mechanical gurgling of the outro, Painkiller, the shadow of a syringe falls over the album. Gahan sings of a vicious appetite and pines for the spirit of love with an earnest intensity that usually overcomes Gore's occasionally banal lyrics. His high register and emotionally laden delivery on songs such as Love Thieves and Sister of Night (Little 15 redux) are reminiscent of the days of See You and Get the Balance Right, before Gahan settled into the deadpan baritone croon that carries most of the Mode's later hits.

Perhaps due to the band's travails, Ultra is the most experimental Mode album since 1983's A Broken Frame, when these same three fellows lost their leading songwriter, Vince Clarke, to Yaz (and subsequently Erasure). As a result, with the exception of It's No Good, a catchy and confident tune that's A-1 formula Mode, there's no hit single potential on Ultra. There are, however, a good number of interesting songs that gradually seep into your system. The Bottom Line finds Gore at his most emotive, once again singing the bittersweet woes of infatuation over an aural fabric that alternates between jazz trio cool, electropop bounce, and country twang. With arpeggiating violins and arena-rock-style guitar bridges, Home is an intriguing Disneyesque ditty. And both Jazz Thieves and Uselink prove that the Mode haven't lost their knack for atmospheric instrumentals.

VCMG present one of 2012s most anticipated musical collaborations with their Mute Records release Ssss. It marks the long awaited reunion of electronic pioneers Vince Clarke (Erasure/Yazoo/Depeche Mode) and Martin L. Gore (Depeche Mode), who have joined forces for the first time in over thirty years to craft a 10-track album which demonstrates their mutual love of electronic music.

After initial tentative discussions, and a meeting at Short Circuit presents Mute festival in London, where they both performed, these two influential musicians and songwriters worked in a typically unique way. Clarke and Gore worked alone in their respective studios, communicating only via email and exchanging files until the album was ready. The album includes the recent 12 EP1/Spock, described by The Quietus as one of the best tracks of 2011, plus the forthcoming EP 2/Single Blip.

Ssss was written and produced by Vince Clarke and Martin L. Gore, mixed by Timothy Q Wiles, recorded and engineered by Sie Medway Smith and Vince Clarke and mastered by Stefan Betke (aka Pole).

    Stills Lit Through

Stills Lit Through offers the first comprehensive body of work from
    musician and visual artist Tallesen.

Hailing from the Hudson Valley of New York, Tallesen - born
Cayman Johnson - describes Stills as a response to the
"continuous flexibility of the physical setting by the additive of
sound." A reference to his joyful erasure of the distinction
    between music and experience.

The twelve songs of Stills Lit Through conjure an eidolon of
melodies painted with watercolor brushstrokes both calm
("Glenticast") and frenetic ("Emmel"). To our ears, this closely
characterizes Johnson's work as a visual artist.

The collection when taken as a whole is wonderfully consistent.
We hear echoes of Autechre's corporeal maneuvers (bass as lead
voice, plasticity of foreground vs. background), but, if you dig out
the provenance of Johnson's nom de plume, you really start to
understand how the melodic through-lines of the record operate
    on a more illustrative level.

What appears to you as a macro-level core 'feeling' about the
record is illusively varied, consisting of insanely lush song nodes
that subtly and endlessly rotate and shift. It is a music that is both
ultra beautiful (Strike Silver, Love Green) and invested in a core
belief dealing with the materiality of musical sound itself
(Plasticized Fsa). It's not the house in which melodies are stored,
it's the crypt of inspiration from which melodies emerge.

Rhythmically, Stills encourages ephemera towards the creation of
a seductively creaky, silvery universe with an unreliable sense of
gravity. The result is hallucinatory in that the album
comprehensively experiences like volumes among volumes of
things change, but in half-speed. "The music is saturated with
information for it to remain flexible to its surroundings," describes
Cayman, an ode to feeling "ambiance with a modern degree of
    attention."

Thus we enter the world of Stills Lit Through, a comprehensive
portrait of young Cayman Johnson's enigmatic, sensual world-building music.

    Olympia

Olympia is an album of transformation. Though it has only been two years since Austra's 2010 debut
Feel It Break, it presents a quantum evolution in the Toronto-based band's sound, structure and style.

After three years of non-stop international touring with the likes of The xx, Grimes and the Gossip,
when it came time to record Olympia, Austra had evolved into a complex collaborative effort between
its six members. "Previously, I would flesh out songs before I brought them to the band, but this time
I left them bare and let the others fill them in" explains Katie Stelmanis, the principal songwriter/vocalist.

Olympia is also the first confessional record for Stelmanis as evidenced by the heartfelt lyrics of piano
driven lead single "Home." The album touches on a range of sentiments that stem from a relationship
ending, a relationship beginning, and friends' struggles with addiction and motivation. Despite the
sometimes dark lyrics written in collaboration with band member Sari Lightman, Olympia is bubbly
and buoyant- fundamentally a dance record, which Stelmanis says was the band's aim all along. "We
are really into dense harmonies and big beautiful melodies, but I also love techno and dance music. I
wanted to bring those elements together."

Though Olympia is filled with electronic and synthetic sounds that reference everything from Trax
Record classic cuts to Yazoo's Upstairs At Eric's, it's free of programming and loops. Everything was
played live by the band in the studio and all of the percussion including a wild set up of marimbas and
congas performed by drummer Maya Postepski. "There is a major percussive element running through
every song," Stelmanis laughs, "this is the album where we discovered rhythm."

The album was produced by Austra with additional production by Mike Haliechuk (Fucked Up)

Vocal production by Damian Taylor (Bjork, the Killers)

Engineered by Leon Taheny and Bill Skibbe (the Kills, Wild Belle,
    Dead Weather)

The Circus is sourced from a beautifully preserved 30-ips 1:1 copy of the original master tapes. These are the best sounding and perhaps the only existing analog tapes for this classic release! When mastering this LP we compared what we were hearing from the tapes to original US and UK LPs. Mastering notes included with the tapes show that the original LP was bass-limited from 40Hz down. Of course we restored the wonderfully full bass response that's present on the tapes, and mastered wide open with no compression applied. The result is an alive and pulsing beat with foundation like you've never heard- the best The Circus has ever sounded!
