    You Will Eventually Be Forgotten

Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate)'s highly anticipated new album You Will Evetually Be Forgotten may have taken half a decade to get here, but it
was absolutely worth the wait. Constant touring and a litany of splits and EPs (12 splits and 3 EP since their last LP) have tightened the band and honed
their chops, and it shows. You Will Eventually Be Forgotten is what the band does best- intimate vocals, melodic guitar work, and vivid storytelling to the
point where you feel like you are living in each song.

    Empire

As a robust rock underground got swallowed alive by the Major Label Industrial Complex, the very autonomous Unwound - Olympia, Washington's Great Noise Hope - toed the troublesome line between pay check and Check Engine light. Captured in the gaps of a ruthless touring schedule, defining fourth and fifth albums The Future of What and Repetition were issued in the back-to-back springs of 1995 and '96. Both find the band severing their post-hardcore roots, for gripping detours into Echoplex, kraut, D&B, and Mingus, as guided by a sun-worn copy of Book Your Own Fuckin' Life. No Energy collects both of these 1990s masterworks, beginning with Justin Trosper's home-made haircut stabs on New Energy, continuing with Vern Rumsey's reanimating bass on Corpse Pose, and closing in a wall of Sara Lund crash cymbals on For Your Entertainment. This 33-song collection is buttressed by singles and period live tracks, a pile of double-exposed photographs, and a 10,000 word essay by latter-day Unwound diarist David Wilcox.

Rage Against the Machine's long-awaited follow up to their 1993 self-titled debut was well worth the wait as its brand of revolutionary rap/protest metal has never been matched elsewhere. Tom Morello again sets the pace here with his guitar wizardry while Zach De La Rocha assaults his subjects with rage and resolve. The results are both profound and just plain powerful. Evil Empire debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, Bulls on Parade and People of the Sun received Grammy nominations for Best Hard Rock Performance and Tire Me took home the 1996 Grammy award for Best Metal Performance.

    Fantasy Empire

Over the course of its two-decade existence, Lightning Bolt has revolutionized underground rock in immeasurable ways. The duo broke the barrier between stage and audience by setting themselves up on the floor in the midst of the crowd. Their momentous live performances and the mania they inspired paved the way for similar tactics used by Dan Deacon and literally hundreds of others. Similarly, the band's recordings have always been chaotic, roaring, blown out documents that sound like they could destroy even the toughest set of speakers. Fantasy Empire, Lightning Bolt's sixth album and first in five years, is a fresh take from a band intent on pushing themselves musically and sonically while maintaining the aesthetic that has defined not only them, but an entire generation of noisemakers. It marks many firsts, most notably their first recordings made using hi-fi recording equipment at the famed Machines With Magnets, and their first album for Thrill Jockey. More than any previous album, Fantasy Empire sounds like drummer Brian Chippendale and bassist Brian Gibson are playing just a few feet away, using the clarity afforded by the studio to amplify the intensity they project. Every frantic drum hit, every fuzzed-out riff, sounds more present and tangible than ever before. Fantasy Empire is ferocious, consuming, and is a more accurate translation of their live experience. It also shows Lightning Bolt embracing new ways to make their music even stranger. More than any previous record, Chippendale and Gibson make use of live loops and complete separation of the instruments during recording to maximize the sonic pandemonium and power. Gibson worked with Machines very carefully to get a clear yet still distorted and intense bass sound, allowing listeners to truly absorb the detail and dynamic range he displays, from the heaviest thud to the subtle melodic embellishments. Some of these songs have been in the band's live repertoire since as early as 2010, and have been refined in front of audiences for maximum impact. This is heavy, turbulent music, but it is executed with the precision of musicians that have spent years learning how to create impactful noise through the use of dynamics, melody, and rhythm.

Empire Burlesque is the 23rd studio album by Bob Dylan, released in 1985. Dylan produced the album himself, and eventually the album peaked at number thirty-three in the US and at number eleven in the UK.

Accompanied by multiple session musicians-including Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers members Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench and Howie Epstein-the album features a distinct 80s style aesthetic. Fans and critics continue to debate the album's merits, especially when compared to his 1960s and 1970s output.

This may very well be the most consistent record Bob Dylan has made since Blood on the Tracks, filled to the brim with subtle gems. Highlights of the album include Tight Connection to My Heart (Has Anybody Seen My Love?), Emotionally Yours and Dark Eyes.

Tour De Force - Shepherd's Bush Empire

Tour De Force chronicles Bonamassa's atmospheric rise from the intimate club environment of The Borderline, to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. Each individual evening was marked by a unique theme with different setlists, arrangements and ensembles providing the viewer with four unique performances. His journey begins in the intimate setting of the 200-capacity London Borderline with a three-piece band. The result is a jammy tribute to Bonamassa's earlier career, with songs he hasn't played live in years. Next is a blues-themed night at Shepherd's Bush Empire, featuring a horns section to create a soulful, big-blues-band feel. He then moves to the Hammersmith Apollo which opens with a short acoustic set before moving into a rock-inspired evening. Finally, at the Royal Albert Hall, Bonamassa treats the crowd to a half acoustic/half electric show of his most popular and well-known songs, featuring the acoustic band from his most recent release, An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House. Each night's performance features a different selection of songs - over 60 in total and some having never been performed live before - from his extensive career beginning with 2000's A New Day Yesterday.

The end result more than lived up to its billing as "The Guitar Event of The Year" and saw Bonamassa reliving, revisiting and redefining the many phases and pivotal moments throughout his career over the course of four evenings. It goes without saying that the challenge was daunting, but Bonamassa more than picked up the gauntlet after it was thrown down and delivered a once-in-a-lifetime performance that more than serves as an appropriate career-retrospective for an artist who has already achieved so much.

"London is like my second home," says Bonamassa. "With these shows, I wanted to give the fans attending the London 2013 shows a real treat - something special to thank them for their unwavering support. Over the years I've received audience requests for tracks that we've never performed live; it felt right that we delve into the back catalogue and honor London with special and unique versions of these tracks. And now...we can share it with my fans around the world."

    Pressed On Colored Vinyl!

Art should confront and challenge convention, but Crown The Empire take it one step further. Since
bursting onto the scene in 2012, Crown The Empire have shown no signs of slowing down on their
undeniable course toward world domination. They have sold over 175,000 albums in the US over 2
releases, and have toured the world repeatedly with the likes of The Used, Of Mice & Men and Pierce
    The Veil.

Crown The Empire are back with their new album, Retrograde, the highly anticipated follow
up to the band's previous release, The Resistance: Rise of the Runaways", which debuted at #7 on the
Billboard Top 200 with over 25,000 copies sold in its first week.

"Retrograde" is Crown The Empire at their best, each song maliciously hand crafted. When you break it
down, Crown The Empire are storytellers for a new generation; nothing is a mistake. Every detail,
element, structure, chorus, and breakdown is planned, and the album flows like the plot of a theatrical
    film.

There's a reason why magazines have been putting Crown The Empire on their covers and there's a
reason the band gets off ered multiple tours each quarter: it's because fans truly believe in the band and
care about what they're doing. Their fan base is a cult-like army, who truly believe and support them. It's
what separates Crown The Empire from everyone else, and it's why Retrograde is going to keep the
    band on their upward trajectory.

    Two Vines

Alt-electro pioneers Empire Of The Sun return with their third studio album, Two Vines, set for release via Astralwerks. With Two Vines, the Australian band invites listeners to enter the jungle paradise that marks the third remarkable age of the Empire Of The Sun. Through a waterfall of dreams, beyond the white light of an ice curtain lies a lush, green world where childlike innocence and ancient wisdom are one. The album's first single, "High & Low," offers a glimpse of this dreamlike kingdom.

"We always saw Empire as a movie," says Nicholas Littlemore, the co-pilot with Luke Steele of this fantastic vessel of electro-futurist sound and vision. "The whole concept was based around childhood fantasies; being in bed and staring at the posters on your wall, whether they were monster movies or outlandish rock stars or pieces of art. We always wanted to be one of those posters on a child's wall that had so much imagination locked into it, a kind of invitation that pushes you over the edge into dream world. With this record, it's time to take that next step."

Recorded in Hawaii and Los Angeles, Two Vines is co-produced by Empire Of The Sun and Peter Mayes (Sia, The Killers, Mika), alongside long-term collaborator, Donnie Sloan (Midnight To Monaco). It also sees the creative circle expanding with esteemed pianist/arranger Henry Hey and bassist Tim Lefebvre, from David Bowie's Blackstar band, featured heavily on the album. Factor in Wendy Melvoin from Prince's Revolution, as well as Fleetwood Mac's genius guitarist/vocalist Lindsey Buckingham, and the Empire's rainbow has never been so vast and colorful.

"Going to Hawaii to record was the best idea," says Luke Steele of sessions at Honolulu's Avex Studios - where Kanye West recorded 2010's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. "That was the catalyst for me. I'd spend the morning surfing, then roll in and make music into the night."

The Resistance: Rise Of The Runaways

Since bursting onto the scene in 2012 with their debut full-length, "The Fallout", Crown The Empire have shown
no signs of slowing down on their undeniable course toward world domination. The band have sold over 60,000
copies of their groundbreaking debut album, and have been busy touring the world repeatedly, and gracing
    magazine covers frequently.

Crown The Empire haven't slowed their momentum, supporting tours for Pierce the Veil, Asking Alexandria, and
The Used. After being the breakout band on the 2013 Vans Warped Tour, the band was asked to return again this
year as a Main Stage act.

The band has also been on the cover of Alternative Press over three times in the past year, a feat that has never
been accomplished by a new band. They appeared first as the cover artist for Alternative Press' "Bands You Need
to Know" issue, then again for their "Stars of Warped Tour" issue, and the band is on the cover of their current
issue, to help build early support for their new release, "The Resistance: Rise of the Runaway".

Crown The Empire's new album, "The Resistance: Rise of the Runaway", has the band exceeding all preconceived
expectations. It's heavier and more melodic than everything fans and critics grew to love on "The Fallout" but it
doesn't feel contrived or forced in any way. When you break it down, Crown The Empire are storytellers for a new
generation; nothing is a mistake. Every detail, element, structure, chorus, and breakdown is planned, and the

    Ice On The Dune

It's exactly what electronic pop should sound like in 2013. Fresh, euphoric, youthful...it more than delivers on the promise of 2008 s million-selling debut Walking On A Dream and the fantastical imagery that made them a festival highlight wherever Steele strapped on his head-dress, said Q, awarding the album four stars in a lead review. Nearly every track is powered by a room-rattling disco groove, observed Uncut, scoring it 8/10. Singles (Discontinued) (On Sale)

Over the course of their mere five-year existence, Sterling, Virginias Pageninetynine redefined what punk rock could be. This venerable squad of miscreants from the outskirts of the nations capital incorporated aspects of nearly every heavy music sub-genre into a tornado of punk fury, releasing a plethora of albums, singles, splits and more, touring relentlessly and inspiring a dedicated, diehard fanbase. Robotic Empire is pleased to announce a timely re-press of the bands landmark Document #8 album and the long-awaited vinyl release of their hard-to-find Singles compilation CD.

Singles, first released on CD in 2003 by Reptilian Records, showcases the groups evolution from humble beginnings to a furious midpoint and experimental end. The album title is somewhat of a misnomer, as the release collects material from splits with Circle Takes the Square, City of Caterpillar, Enemy Soil, Process Is Dead and Reactor No. 7, along with other short-run EP, demo and compilation tracks. Mastered by James Plotkin for a much warmer, fuller sound not heard on the original releases, Singles is an essential document for longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Pageninetynine will reunite in August 2011 at the Best Friends Day festival in Richmond, Virginia, where they will perform Document #8 in its entirety.

Voted Portland's 2012 Best New Band by Willamette Week

One of NPR's Artists you should've known in 2012

There is a stillness between kissing lips that belies the beating hearts connected to them,
a calm in the simple gesture that holds tumultuous emotions close, keeping their caprice
from pulling you apart. For the past three years, Radiation City has scored the soundtrack
to relationships such as these. Moments where Quiet/Bombast, Future/Past,
Man/Woman, Hope/Fear are conjoined; from their use of modern electronic sounds and
the restraint of classic bossa records, to the urgency and harmony of northern soul, the
band has codified seemingly disparate ideas into a sound and ethos that is at once
refreshing and classic. Their second LP Animals In The Median will be released May 7th.
Founded in 2009 amid the glow of one budding love affair, Radiation City quickly
blossomed into a family, finding itself with a second couple and another multi
instrumentalist besides. If the quintet's early live shows and debut LP The Hands That
Take You quickly earned them a reputation as one of Portland, Oregon's most promising
young acts, the subsequent national tours and 2011's EP Cool Nightmare made good on
that promise. The band's expanding soundscape of new romanticism has drawn
accolades from NPR, Time, and KEXP to name a few.

The new full length features 12 songs recorded over the span of a year in both rural
Washington and urban Portland. You can hear a focused songwriting, lush arrangements,
and gorgeous harmonies. You can hear the celebration and lament of a sea change year
which saw the passing of matriarchs, the betrayals and betrothals of loved ones, the
baring and bruising of hopeful hearts in an increasingly dangerous world. Moreover, you
can hear a band edified, coming into their own in rich and simple gesture.

    Hunger And Thirst

Typhoon's Debut Reissued On 180-Gram Orange Vinyl

Kyle Morton sings the first line of Typhoon's Hunger & Thirst, I've started a new beginning... suspiciously like the old one, only this time, I'm ready, with the bravery and trepidation of someone who is staring down a familiar path, with all its known challenges and potential pitfalls, surrounded by his dearest longtime friends. Fittingly, producer Paul Laxer recorded Hunger & Thirst in Morton and his bandmates' beloved old Victorian rental house. The lease was about to be up; the landlady was about to be back from Korea - all 12 band members knew their time there was limited, that they were crafting an aural snapshot using room mics and dining rooms. That house can be heard all over the record if you're listening for it, spaciously framing Typhoon's lush, well-edited orchestration, its wood floors perfectly warming Morton's empowered, concerned, delicate vocals in a way that any studio environment would be hard-pressed to capture.

These are songs about striving for what you want, then realizing that once you have it, you don't want it anymore; that maybe that elusive thing was never really the issue anyway. Morton sings about the searches, in all their permutations, the bruises healed by those important to you, impermanence, joy, and finding peace within the incessant desire that has always been man's burden. He sings with strength and hope about renewal (Starting Over), with the entire band in gospel-chorus about confronting and progressing (the .47 second The Mouth of the Cave) and with brutal honesty about struggling with a lifelong illness (The Sickness Unto Death). Everyone has their own unique path to follow, and Hunger & Thirst is a record that should remind us of the preciousness of exploration, the value of those we meet along the way, and the power within that sustains us on our quests.

    Beneath The Brine (Awaiting Repress)

"One of the exciting new bands we recently discovered is The Family
Crest. The Headwinds, blends rock, classical, folk, and jazz, and is an
    immediately compelling listen." - WXPN

"The San Francisco-born collective arm themselves with sharp strings,
galloping percussion, and an ambition wide enough to swallow you
    whole. Dive in... - SPIN

Following on the heels of last summer's The Headwinds EP (which earned
fans in WXPN and Paste), Beneath the Brine shows that singer Liam
McCormick's ambition was well placed. The expansive breadth of arrangments - from dark, classical romanticism ("Beneath the Brine") to horn-laden sounds akin to the Roaring 20s ("Howl") - are complemented by the
incredible range of McCormick's voice. Beneath the Brine also showcases
The Family Crest's ability to infuse pop into complex arrangements, with
songs like "Love Don't Go" and "The World." The album is a sweeping
soundscape befitting the oceanic theme of the title and what SPIN notes as
"ambition wide enough to swallow you whole."

    The Bearer of Bad News

There's an innate stillness and depth to Andy Shauf's music-a quiet, riveting strength that subtly steals its way into a listener's bones. He's a storyteller: a singer of heartbreak and regrets, isolation and loneliness,
small-town heroes and smaller-town killers. Throughout his forthcoming album The Bearer of Bad News-a co-release with Party Damage Records-he studies the universal through two to five-minute microcosms, spinning tales as few others can, where accidental, redemptive victories (the jaunty charmer "Hometown Hero") stir alongside evocative, heartrending tales of self-doubt and lost loves ("I'm Not Falling Asleep," or the achingly beautiful "Covered In Dust" ). The Saskatchewan native's tender, singular tenor guides the way over
muted instrumentation of softly-strummed guitars, dampened drums, weathered piano, and clarinet, which lends its unique timbre to frequently brighten-or hauntingly underscore-the songs' darker undercurrents.

    The Domestics

What separates The Domestics from the escapism of so many other indie pop acts is the fearlessness with which Michael Finn and Leo London confront their own pain. London's birth parents both battled with drug addiction in his early childhood before he was adopted by his grandparents at the age of two. Finn's trials came later on, struggling with health issues, depression and dependency in his early adult years. Writing in the aftermath of infidelity, mental illness, substance abuse and child abuse, Finn and London have wrought songs as moving as they are catchy and as honest as they are loud. What The Domestics provide that so many other bands do not is something which all listeners can relate to: vulnerability.

    Noctunes

Willis Earl Beal was born on the South Side of Chicago. He would never consider it home. An odd kid, he spent a lot of his youth talking with his grandmother, who would entertain his endless questions about the universe and encourage his love of drawing. He developed an obsession with Batman that would last well into his teenage years, when he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a form of vigilante training. Willis Earl Beal died on an army base in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. While in boot camp he was plagued with physical and mental abuse, health complications (which would later require surgery and the removal of large portions of his intestine) forced his discharge. He moved back home. "When that all broke down," Beal says. "I lost a piece of myself." Willis Earl Beal was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After a stint of homelessness there, he worked odd jobs and rented a studio apartment. Though he'd never learned to play any instruments, he began to record raw, lo-fi albums with hand-drawn covers that he'd leave at coffee shops around town alongside flyers seeking a girlfriend with his phone number written on them. Those artifacts would eventually find their way to the cover of Found magazine, then to Jamie-James Medina at XL Recordings. Beal signed with XL's Hot Charity imprint in 2012. Willis Earl Beal died in New York City. Despite the release of two critically well-received albums on XL-Acousmatic Sorcery, a collection of his early home recordings, and a fully orchestrated studio album he recorded in Amsterdam called Nobody Knows-he was a mess. "I'd drink myself into stupors," he says. "I'd walk around in the daytime, crying, then I'd go downtown. The police would bring me home in the morning." Willis Earl Beal was born on a lake twenty miles outside Olympia, Washington. After ending his contract with XL, Beal went to live in the woods, and began an artistic transformation entirely of his own design, from rough-edged outsider-art provocateur to the kind of mysterious crooner one might expect to haunt the outskirts of Twin Peaks. "People had all these ideas about what I was supposed to be," he says. "I had only ever wanted to make lullabies." Beal's development played out over two self-released EPs and a full-length album, and then Beal built the patient, ambient-leaning Noctunes. The album's twelve songs are moving and meditative, thoroughly soaked with mournful synth strings and simple lyricism that Beal says is intentionally minimalistic. "I wanted to create this persona that could say everything perfectly with very little," Beal says. "The record, to me, is a perfect record. I listen to that thing a lot, and it helps me." Willis Earl Beal has yet to be born. Critics and publicists defined him before he'd had a chance to define himself. Their expectations were inextricably linked with race and gender, two concepts Beal thoroughly rejects. Now, two extremely productive years removed from the spotlight, Beal doesn't feel pressure to define himself against anything. His new music is shockingly original, utterly confident, and as ephemeral as Beal himself. He levitates above definition, concerned only with self-discovery and truth-seeking. "I know it sounds falsely altruistic," he says. "But I think a simple voice like mine can serve as an example of some kind of freedom."
