Bob Dylan The Mono Vinyl Box Set on Limited Edition 180g 9LP Box Set

Cut from the Original Analog Mono Masters by George Marino at Sterling Sound: These Records Have NEVER Sounded Better in Any Format

This is the ULTIMATE AUDIOPHILE Dylan LP Box: Don't Miss Some of the Most Timeless and Crucial Music Ever Recorded in Sound That Rivals What Was Heard in the Studio Control Room

Each Disc Comes With Individual Jacket Replete With Original Artwork and Inserts

Hear Dylan's Most Definitive Albums As They Were Meant to be Experienced: In Mono

Includes Deluxe Booklet + Rare Photos and Greil Marcus Essay

Bob Dylans first eight groundbreaking albums are returning for the first time ever in a limited edition box set of newly re-mastered mono versions on fully analog 180-gram vinyl.

The Original Mono Recordings are comprised of these albums painstakingly reproduced from their first generation monaural mixes as the artist intended them to be heard: One channel of powerful sound, both direct and immediate. While stereo recordings had been available as early as the mid-1950s, mono was still the predominant and often preferred mode of recording and mixing by the top artists of the 1960s. As a result, artists like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan devoted their attention to the mono mixes, leaving the stereo mixing process to studio engineers.

As is fitting for a box of this magnitude, The Original Mono Recordings are accompanied by a deluxe booklet, featuring vintage photographs of Bob Dylan and an expansive essay from renowned author and critic and longtime Dylan aficionado Greil Marcus. Each disc in the set comes in its own individual jacket which faithfully replicates the original album artwork, complete with labels and stickers that were found on the original 1960s releases.

Cut from the original analog mono masters by the legendary George Marino at Sterling Sound, we guarantee this is the best you will ever hear Dylan sound. This set is simply unprecedented--some of the most important and timeless music ever made, now in jaw-dropping sound that rivals what was heard in the studio control room. Don't miss this!

Also includes a limited edition 18 x 24 Bob Dylan poster.

Bob Dylan: The Bootleg Series, Vols. 1-3

Bob Dylan has always been incredibly prolific, only releasing a fraction of what he records. Such a policy has made him a prime target for bootleggers over the years, finally prompting this sanctioned 1991 dive into the Dylan vaults. It consists of rare tracks, unreleased outtakes, early versions of classics (Times They Are a-Changin', Like a Rolling Stone, I Shall Be Released), and alternate versions that sometimes cut the originals (Idiot Wind). A measure of Dylan's depth is his list of discarded songs (She's Your Lover Now, Blind Willie McTell, Series of Dreams) that would be the crown jewels of most catalogs. These tracks serve as a shadow history of one of our most important artists. - Ben Edmonds

That Thin, That Wild Mercury Sound: Dylans Ground-Shaking 1966 Double LP Sent Tremors Throughout the World

Wider Grooves, Superior Sound: Mobile Fidelitys 45RPM Edition The Last Word in Analog Fidelity

Recorded With One of The Most Ear-Awakening Lineups Ever Assembled: Al Kooper, Pig Robbins, Joe South, Kenny Buttrey, and The Bands Rick Danko and Robbie Robertson Among Musicians

Vaudeville, Contemporary Pop, Fiery Rock and Roll, Memphis Blues, Folk-Derived Sagas Among Enriched Palette of Styles

Blonde on Blonde: A double album that transcends time, defies space, suspends reality, and looks through the human soul and tells the listener characteristics about themselves they didnt know. Professor Sean Wilentz, historian-in-residence for Bob Dylans Web site, comes as close to summing up its brilliance in his superb Bob Dylan In America as any whove tried: The songs are rich meditations on desire, frailty, promises, boredom, hurt, envy, connections, missed connections, paranoia, and transcendent beautyin short, the lures and snare of love, stock themes of rock and pop music, but written with a powerful literary imagination and played out in a pop netherworld. No lie.

As part of its Bob Dylan catalog restoration series, Mobile Fidelity is thoroughly humbled to have the privilege of mastering the iconic LP from the original master tapes and pressing it on 45RPM LPs at RTI. The end result is the very finest, most transparent analog edition of Blonde on Blonde ever produced. Forever renowned for what the Bard deemed that thin, that wild mercury sound, the albums famed aural character lives and breathes on this superb version, with wider and deeper grooves affording playback of previously buried information and lifelike presentation of the studio sessions.

Forever prized for a unique sound that cultural critic Greil Marcus tagged the most glamorous record imaginable; listening you [can] see the checkered jesters suit Dylan had worn on stage for the nine previous, furious months, Blonde on Blonde is to music, production, prose, and performance as what hydrogen is to water. The secret to its inimitable aural character partially stems from Dylans request in Nashville to producer Bob Johnston to remove the baffles from the studio room, allowing the musicians to interact as well as the music to assume a more organic quality that drifts from one microphone to another. Mobile Fidelitys reissue captures this ensemble ambience, with echoes, resonation, and some of the most natural timbres youll ever hear in plain sight.

The story of Blonde on Blonde is almost as compelling as the music within. Dylan, frustrated with how initial attempts fared in New York, relocating to Tennessee and pairing with Nashvilles top session players as well as members of what would become the Band, feverishly chasing perfectionism while also arriving at an on-the-fly feel that remains a reference point for recorded music. The Bard sweated over lyrics, demanded his band get the exact sounds he heard in his head, and limited most takes to a handful at most. A majority of songs were recorded long after midnight, the post-A.M. vibe reflected in the nocturnal aura, woozy optimism, inversion of intervals, and spiritual soulfulness of the playing.

As for the tunes? Chapters of books and lengthy theses are dedicated to the sheer conscious-altering power, mythical weight, character cast, and convention-obscuring magnetism of the lyricsto say nothing of the sophisticated albeit pure playing within, as arrangements touch upon gospel, R&B, pop, traditional and contemporary blues, vaudeville, folk, and more. Then theres Dylans inventive phrasing, his manipulation of pitch and locution, helping the narratives to take on epic, inchoate, and cryptic meanings that continue to be deciphered to this day. Punch lines occur as frequently as romantic declarations, all delivered with salient references, traditional parallels, and elusive interpretations on par with those of Shakespeare.

Visions of Johanna. I Want You. Rainy Day Women #12 & 35. Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands. Absolutely Sweet Marie. We could go on. Essential doesnt even begin to cover the genius of this record that, now, sounds better than Dylan himself can imagine.

Given the sonic and artistic merit of this album, we anticipate huge demand.

Hendrix's Most Storied Live Three-Night Stand Comes to Brilliant Life on Stellar, Audiophile-Quality Box Set

Features Tons of Performances Not Available on Any Other Release

Six 1968 Concerts from San Francisco's Historic Venue Reshaped Rock and Roll: Here Are the Highlights

8LP Edition Annihilates All Previous Winterland Compilations: Tremendous Sonics and Insight

Also Includes 36-Page Book and Rare Backstage Interview With Hendrix

Jimi Hendrix's Woodstock performance may be his most famous, but the guitarist named by Rolling Stone as the best in history was never better than at a three-night stand in San Francisco, putting on a total of six concerts that fans have long clamored to hear. Featuring the creme de la creme of said performances, now everyone finally gets their wish.

Winterland is drawn from said six stellar shows recorded over three days (October 10, 11 and 12, 1968) at San Francisco's historic Winterland Ballroom. These special performances celebrated the two-year anniversary of the Jimi Hendrix Experience and came just as the groundbreaking album Electric Ladyland was released. Even given the era's rich history, you'll be hard-pressed to come up with any concert that rivals what's here.

As many already know, Winterland presents some of Hendrixs most spectacular guitar work. This scintillating set is filled with rare live versions of classic songs such as Manic Depression, Are You Experienced?, Tax Free, and Little Wing that are not part of any other Sony Legacy releases. Fans will also enjoy Hendrixs dramatic interpretations of Creams Sunshine Of Your Love and Howlin Wolfs Killing Floor (with the Experience joined by Jefferson Airplane bassist Jack Casady) as well his rendition of Bob Dylans Like A Rolling Stone, which many critics and fans regard as the ultimate interpretation.

Pressed on 8 x 180g LPs, this special deluxe box set features never before released music from each of the six unforgettable Winterland performances. Please note that Winterland is now markedly different from the flawed single disc compilation, long out of print, briefly issued by Rykodisc in 1987 and 1988. Moreover, Winterland also presents a rare interview with Hendrix recorded backstage at the Boston Garden a few weeks after the Winterland performances. This previously unreleased bonus provides fans with a unique window into Hendrixs views about his background, his approach to the guitar, and songwriting and future direction of his music.

As should be required for any such box set, Winterland features a 36-page booked filled with previously unpublished images by acclaimed photographers Robert Knight, Allen Tannenbaum, and Jim Marshall, as well as an essay by noted Rolling Stone journalist David Fricke.

The Traveling Wilburys' all-star configuration came about when Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, George Harrison and Jeff Lynne convened at a Southern California studio in 1988 to record a b-side for one of Harrison's singles. They had such a rockin' good time cutting the track 'Handle With Care' that they decided to release it under the Wilburys moniker. The band's camaraderie can be heard in every groove of their albums Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 and Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3, reissued here on vinyl with a bonus 12' of remixed and previously unreleased tracks.

No Direction Home (200 Gram) (On Sale)

The seventh volume of Bob Dylan's Bootleg Series doubles as the soundtrack to No Direction Home, Martin Scorseses's feature-length documentary covering Dylan's career from its beginnings to 1966 (it was aired in two parts on PBS in September 2005 and released in expanded form on DVD that same month). Unlike the previous three installments of The Bootleg Series, which focused exclusively on live concerts, No Direction Home is assembled from a variety of sources, including home recordings, publishing demos, alternate studio takes, and live recordings, with the first disc devoted to early acoustic recordings and the second to electric music. In fact, No Direction Home proceeds chronologically, filling in gaps between the proper albums or, more often, providing a parallel history of the most productive era of Dylan's career. All of this material -- with the exception of Song to Woody, taken from his debut, and a cataclysmic version of Like a Rolling Stone taken from the Royal Albert Hall show that was released as Bob Dylan Live '66 -- is previously unreleased, and much of it has not been widely bootlegged (and the cuts that have been bootlegged, such as Dink's Song, have never been heard in such crystal-clear fidelity). Where the inaugural edition of The Bootleg Series had many previously unreleased Dylan originals, there is only one here, the tentative opener, When I Got Troubles, a sweet, simple 1959 song that finds Dylanin his formative stage. In place of unheard songs are a slew of alternate versions of familiar tunes. On the first two LP's, these are largely live versions of such warhorses as Blowin' in the Wind, Masters of War, and A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall, recorded when the songs were still fresh. These live performances have an immediacy and intimacy that not only illustrate what a powerful folksinger Dylan was, but also suggest how the songs might have sounded when they were new tunes. Toward the end of the second LP, alternate versions that are significantly different from the final versions begin to surface with an early take on Mr. Tambourine Man recorded at the Another Side of Bob Dylan sessions with Ramblin' Jack Elliott on second guitar and backing vocals. The third and fourth LP's contain several alternates that are similarly notably different, highlighted by a lively, careening It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry with a different final verse, a Desolation Row with electric guitar, Highway 61 Revisited without the siren whistle, a slower, heavier, blusier take on Leopard-Skin Pill Box Hat, a relaxed version of Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again that lacks the carnivalesque swirl of sound from the Blonde on Blonde version, and a lean, insistent Visions of Johanna.

Everything here is uniformly excellent and worth hearing well more than once. That alone, of course, would make this yet another worthwhile addition to any serious Dylan collection, but what makes No Direction Home noteworthy as an album is that it is the first Dylan record to offer an aural biography of Dylan. This does a superb job of tracing the development of Dylan as a musician, taking him from a young folkie singing standards, through the rush of his early standards, and to the visionary music he made once he went electric. Put in this context, the electric music on the third and fourth LP's sounds as bracing and brilliant and surprising as it did in the '60s, while the acoustic folk on LP's one and two sounds vibrant, pure, and alive. After all these years, that's a hard accomplishment to pull off, and to the credit of everybody involved in this terrific release, they've been able to make even the most familiar Dylan tunes feel new again.

As usual, this deluxe edition comes from the original mix down masters and was transferred by Bernie Grundman to lacquer on on Classic's all tube analog cutting system. This deluxe 4-LP set includes two alternate cover art gatefold jackets (Blonde on Blonde and Bringing it all Back Home), a 60+ page 12 x12 booklet all housed in an a special outer box.

    The Bluebird Recordings 1939-1942

Though Mississippi Delta blues guitarist and singer Tommy McClennan was only active for a brief three years, he left a powerful legacy on the world of blues and beyond, influencing the likes of John Fahey and Elmore James, with tracks being covered by everyone from Bob Dylan to Albert King, and Moon Mullican. Cutting sides for Bluebird between 1939-1942, McClennan's rough, slightly unhinged style made him one of the more unique voices in the Delta and he was the first to record the classic "Cross Cut Saw Blues" along with the well known "Shake 'Em On Down", "Bottle It Up And Go", and dozens more. Doxy is pleased to present his complete recordings here in deluxe 3LP box set.

West Coast Seattle Boy - The Jimi Hendrix Anthology is not a collection of existing Hendrix albums but instead 45 unreleased Hendrix live and studio recordings including demos and alternate versions of songs from Are You Experienced, Axis: Bold As Love, and Electric Ladyland.

West Coast Seattle Boy includes Hendrixs never before heard version of Bob Dylans 'Tears Of Rage, solo acoustic recordings of Electric Ladyland favorites like Long Hot Summer Night and 1983 (A Merman I Shall Turn To Be) as well as never before heard live performances from Berkeley and the legendary Band Of Gypsys Fillmore East concert on New Year's Eve 1969 combined together with such new Hendrix songs as Hear My Freedom, Hound Dog Blues, Lonely Avenue and more.

A centerpiece achievement in Legacy Recordings' monumental Jimi Hendrix catalog project, West Coast Seattle Boy - The Jimi Hendrix Anthology is the first Hendrix collection to bring fans access to a comprehensive treasure trove of fresh material -- including demos, alternate takes, live concert jewels and more -- from all phases of the artist's recording career (1964 -1970). It offers the most complete collection of Jimi's pre-Experience R&B performances (including his singles with the Isley Brothers, Little Richard, Don Covay, King Curtis and more) to ever be officially anthologized, while bringing together the most comprehensive and revelatory set of fully realized songs, never before heard live performances, alternate studio takes, acoustic and electric demos, and other rarities drawn from every chapter of Hendrix's remarkable life and career.

The newly curated and assembled West Coast Seattle Boy - The Jimi Hendrix Anthology also includes Jimi Hendrix Voodoo Child, a new 90-minute documentary directed by the multiple Grammy-award winning Bob Smeaton (Beatles Anthology, Festival Express, Beatles: The Studio Recordings, Band of Gypsys). An autobiographical journey told in the legendary musician's own words as read by Parliament-Funkadelic's Bootsy Collins, the film incorporates interviews with Hendrix, coupled with the artist's letters, writings and recordings to provide new insight into one of the most enduring icons of popular culture.

The documentary features some of Jimi's greatest performances as well as rare and never before seen footage and photos including--for the first time ever--examples from the Hendrix family archive of the late guitarists personal drawings, postcards home to his father, song drafts, sketches, and lyrics.

Who better to tell the incredible story of a man's life than the man himself? Jimi was amazing and only his music, with tones and textures that he conjured, can capture the colorful and expansive essence of his time here on earth. I am enthralled with this all-encompassing new anthology which not only illuminates his years on both sides of the Atlantic and beautifully reveals his versatility as a performer, from his R&B origins to his explosion on the pop culture scene, but highlights who he was for those who knew and loved him, says Janie Hendrix, President and CEO of Experience Hendrix and co-producer of West Coast Seattle Boy - The Jimi Hendrix Anthology.

An essential and historic addition to the Jimi Hendrix catalog, West Coast Seattle Boy - The Jimi Hendrix Anthology brings together, for the first time, many of Hendrix's earliest commercial recordings, providing a rare glimpse of the rising rock guitar hero through a series of stellar sideman performances on a set of highly collectible pre-Experience R&B singles.

28pt. Gatefold Includes New Archived (Early 1960s Era) Photos Of Johnny Cash

    Box Car Numbered Edition

Mastered By Kevin Gray At Cohearent Audio

''Johnny Cash transcends country music...he represents what American Music is all about!''

Known throughout the world as one of the major figures of post-Hank Williams country music, Johnny Cash constantly sought to expand his musical horizons and avoid being pigeonholed. Cash was at his most engagingly eclectic on Orange Blossom Special, recorded in 1964.

For starters, ''The Man In Black'' covered three tunes by Bob Dylan, then the most talked-about young singer-songwriter of the dawning folk-rock era. (''It Ain't Me Babe,'' ''Don't Think Twice, It's Alright,'' and ''Mama, You've Been On My Mind''), The Nashville musical establishment hardly embraced Dylan's mind-blowing lyrics, but Cash, knowing genius when he heard it, was the first major country star to cover Dylan's work. By the same token, he also rendered two numbers by A.P. Carter of the legendary Carter Family, who, along with Jimmy Rodgers, created the musical template that's still the model for ''traditional'' country, bluegrass, and some forms of folk. And Cash's unmistakable, tough-hewn baritone rendered the classic fiddle tune that is the title track, as well as ''Danny Boy'' (with a spoken word intro), the spiritual ''Amen'' and the traditional story-song ''The Long Black Veil.''. Cash's compositions include ''The Wall,'' one of the prison songs for which he is known, and the protest tune ''All Of God's Children Ain't Free.'' Orange Blossom Special (with liner notes by the artist and never-before seen archive photos) finds Cash backed by the Tennessee Two, his outstanding guitar/bass tandem of Luther Perkins and Marshall Grant and guest appearances by such Nashville aces as Boots Randolph on tenor sax, pianists Floyd Cramer and Bill Pursell, guitarist Norman Blake, and harmonica ace Charlie McCoy. And on Johnny Horton's ''When It's Springtime In Alaska (It's Forty Below),'' Cash is accompanied by the now-familiar female voice of June Carter.

    Lord

"This thing is fast, heavy, and sneakily melodic - i.e. it sounds like something you
might've heard out of the Pacific Northwest 20-30 years ago, like Nirvana having a
Sonic Youth fever dream." - Stereogum

Lord is the debut from Seattle-based punks FF, a trio comprised of Claire
Nelson, Harley Thompson, and Michael Abeyta. For the entirety of their
nascent existence they have existed on the fringes of the fertile enclave
that is the Northwest DIY underground, materializing a singular vision of
gloomy, ethereal punk anthems along the way. For sure, the touchstones
are there - My Bloody Valentine, The Wipers, Sonic Youth, the Flying Nun
Records cabal - but the collection of songs that compile Lord breakout
from the suffocating box of 90's revivalism, and offer a profound alternative to an overwhelming culture of nostalgia.

Recorded over the bulk of 2013 with Seattle engineering wiz Dylan Wall
(Weed, Craft Spells), Lord is a collection of songs that capture a band
on the cusp of their potency.

Elvis Costello Blood and Chocolate on Numbered Limited Edition 180g LP from Mobile Fidelity

Emotionally Cathartic Nick Lowe-Produced Set Includes I Want You, I Hope You're Happy Now, and Uncomplicated

Mastered from the Original Master Tapes and Pressed at RTI: Guitar-Driven, Stripped-Down 1986 Album Teems With Stacked Rhythms, Tonalities, Punch, and Tension

Costello at His Most Vicious: Songs Rumble and Storm, Dark Humor and Biting Lyrics Address Tumult, Jealousy, Vindictiveness

Part of Mobile Fidelity's Elvis Costello Reissue Series: Singer-Songwriter's First Eleven Studio Albums Available on Sumptuously Sounding 180g LP

Known in his youth as the angry young man, Elvis Costello waited until 1986 to create the most vicious record of his career. Stripped to the studs and produced by Nick Lowe, Blood and Chocolate seethes with vindictiveness, spite, and rancor. The 11-track effort clatters with raw rock n' roll menace and clangs with darkly humorous intent. Venomous, acerbic, and aggressive, it values rhythm and attack over harmony and melody. A volatile rite of passage on which harsh Telecaster riffs cut like razor blades and Costello spits words as if they were Molotov cocktails tossed at enemies, this is the satisfying sound of emotional catharsis.

Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed at RTI, this collectable edition of Blood and Chocolate joins Mobile Fidelity's acclaimed Costello reissues series in presenting the icon's vital records in rich, dynamic, three-dimensional analog sound. That's never been truer than it is here. Costello and Co. recorded the songs in a large room at London's Olympic Studios while playing at stage volumes, an unconventional approach that nonetheless suited the music's raw feel. Nearly every track was done in three takes or less, with minimal vocal fixes and overdubs added immediately afterward. Such energy, spark, force, and pace thrive on this reissue.

Capturing the decibel-laden atmosphere that heightens the rhythmic pace and elevates the urgency of the deliveries, Mobile Fidelity's 180g LP delivers the band's performances with wall-of-sound hugeness and booming authority. And while this isn't a record where subtlety reigns, listeners can now discern the acoustic guitar strummed by Lowe for the foundation of the savage Uncomplicated as well as the nuanced final bars of the inimitable I Want You on which each member's instrumental track is switched off to bleed into Costello's vocal microphone. Indeed, for all the apparent chaos, Steve Nieve's keyboards even get accurate placement and imaging on this incredible pressing. Then there's the temperament of the songs themselves-perhaps best described by Costello.

The album title and Eamon Singer's crude cover painting reflected some intense and uncertain situations. The record might have well been a blurred polaroid: a smashed-up room, a squashed box of chocolates, some broken glass and a little blood smeared on the wall, wrote the singer in 2002. The album [is] a pissed-off 32-year-old divorce's version of the musical blueprint with which I had begun my recording career with the Attractions. Indeed, the band-on the verge of fraying at the seams and at each other's throats in close confines-pummels twanging chords, beats up on notes, turns up amplifiers, and eyes everything with great suspicion.

Lyrically, Costello has seldom been wittier, sharper, or more malicious. The snarling, tables-turning I Hope You're Happy Now joins Bob Dylan's Positively Fourth Street as among the most lacerating kiss-off tunes ever penned. Similarly sarcastic, Next Time Round lends a pop rave-up air to the album's otherwise dark assault. The bloodletting Crimes of Paris and Poor Napoleon (featuring Pogues singer Cait O'Riordan playing the role of the voice of pity) confront the consequences of traumatic relationships and lustful choices with a savvy intellect. Given the mood and mindset of everyone and everything involved, it's no surprise that Costello and the Attractions wouldn't again work together until eight years later. Saying that Blood and Chocolate was worth the sacrifice is an understatement.

    Easter Everywhere

On their groundbreaking debut album, the 13th Floor Elevators sometimes sounded as if they were still learning how to work with the strange beast of their own creation known as psychedelic rock. But their second set, 1967's Easter Everywhere, found them a great deal more comfortable and confident with their loose and hypnotically trippy approach.

Easter Everywhere doesn't have an out-of-the-box classic cut like You're Gonna Miss Me or Fire Engine from The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators, but in many ways it's a more cohesive and consistent work, and the subtle but effective structures of the longer tracks grow and develop through repeated listenings, while rockers like She Lives (In a Time of Her Own) and Levitation pack a surprisingly visceral punch. Stacy Sutherland was never a blazing guitar hero, but his concise aural punctuations on the epochal Slip Inside This House and a superb cover of Dylan's It's All Over Now, Baby Blue are perfectly suited to the material. In addition, the rhythm section of Dan Galindo on bass and Danny Thomas on drums locks these songs into place with confidence and skill. The strange patterns of Tommy Hall's electric jug playing are as gloriously bewildering as ever, merging the music of the spheres with an alien attack, and Roky Erickson's vocals make even the most acid-damaged poesy sound passionate, graceful, and wildly alive. And Roky and the Elevators never sounded sweeter and saner than they did on the penultimate tune, I Had to Tell You, with Roky seemingly offering a postscript to his many sad years to follow with the words If you fear I'll lose my spirit/Like a drunkard's wasted wine/Don't you even think about it/I'm feeling fine.

Even if less influential than The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators, Easter Everywhere is every bit as compelling and a true benchmark of early psychedelic rock -- not bad for an album produced by Kenny Rogers' brother.

    Magnolia Electric Co

    10th Anniversay Deluxe Edition

Expanded Reissue Of Songs: Ohia's Classic Record Gathering Together One Unreleased Song, Demos And Full-band Song Only
    Previously Available In Japan.

Includes Rare Photos From The Era In Which It Was Recorded

The hallmark of Jason Molina's career, Magnolia Electric Co., is both a confluence of all he would create and a line in the
sand to mark a shift in his songwriting approach. It was the last statement under his iconic Songs: Ohia moniker, and the
moment before he began making new legends as Magnolia Electric Co. for the next 10 years. Now- here at the end of that
decade - with Molina gone, his work gathers more weight and meaning. This expanded 10-year anniversary edition of
Magnolia Electric Co. features one never-before-released track plus many rarities. The full-band studio outtake of fan
favorite Whip Poor Will is a sweet and spare version that ended up being played far differently on Magnolia Electric Co.'s
final album Josephine (2009). Also included is the studio version of The Big Game Is Every Night. Previously only available
on the Japanese version of the album, this opus serves as Molina's thesis statement, its poetry weaving through the 20th
Century, through art and sporting culture - ultimately questioning what it means to be an American in the autumn of the
American Era. The edition also gathers Molina's gutting demos for the record, including those two outtakes. Nearly each
begins with audible sound of the RECORD button being pressed down on the tape player. They are so close and intimate,
it's hard to look them right in the eyes. But you should.

With the wailing lap steel of the album opener Farewell Transmission, Jason Molina & Company usher in a new day,
playing the sort of rock that your cool uncle rolled to back in the '70s. Landing somewhere on the radar sonically between
Bob Dylan's Desire and Bob Seger's Beautiful Loser, though thematically in-line with Lynyrd Skynyrd's Simple Man, The
Magnolia Electric Co lies at the crossroads of working class rock, white soul, swamp rock and outlaw country

While Songs: Ohia's last record Didn't It Rain was a meditation on roots and stability, Magnolia Electric Co. finds itself
toiling with the wages of change, which is well illustrated in I've Been Riding with the Ghost, a real rig rocker that could
have easily fit on Time Fades Away, on which Molina sings: See I ain't getting better, I am only getting behind. Standing on
the crossroad trying to make up my mind. Trying to remember how it got so late. Why every night pain comes from a
different place. Now something's got to change.

This thematic preoccupation with change also manifests itself in the rotating cast of lead vocalists. While the entire album
boasts a doo wop-like line-up with five vocalists on the floor, six of the eight songs have Molina in the tall stool with the
ever-enchanting Jennie Benford (of Jim & Jennie & the Pinetops, who was also a key player on Didn't It Rain) as primary
back-up vocalist. But on two songs, new Songs: Ohia players step up to take on lead vocal duties, singing Molina-penned
songs. Lawrence Peters takes the lead on The Old Black Hen with his fantastic Merle Haggard-esque country croon, while
Miss Scout Niblett appears from the nether world of the Ohia wardrobe with feathers in her hair and casts her spell on the
Ohia rig barreling through Peoria Lunch Box Blues.

Recorded live, in its entirety, at the hands of Steve Albini at his Electrical Audio Studio in Chicago, Illinois, with the same
core back-up band that played on the Mi Sei Apparaso Come Un Fantasma Italian live album, this is the record where the
Songs: Ohia fan demographics make a radical shift from the dominant bedroom universe of the world's lonely, sensitive,
overqualified young white dudes, and finds refuge in the masses by being embraced by the world's truck drivers, sorority
chicks, and hockey players, alike. Indeed, this is the first Songs: Ohia record with more than one song that could be played
at a strip joint or monster truck show. Amid the mid-tempo slow jams, there lie some of the most upbeat material that
Songs: Ohia has recorded to date.

The Most American Folk-Rock Ever Made: Indelible Harmonies, Spare Playing, and Gorgeous Textures Surround Masterfully Crafted Songs

Close Your Eyes As the Dead Serenade You in Your Room: MoFi Edition of American Beauty Epitomizes Realistic Space, Vocals, Instrumentation, and Ambience

Ranked #261 on Rolling Stone's List of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time: Includes "Truckin'," "Sugar Magnolia," "Friend of the Devil," "Ripple"

American Beauty is the most perfectly realized, superbly played, and openly natural folk-rock record ever released. They don't make albums like this anymore, but thankfully, Mobile Fidelity's extraordinary 180g 45RPM 2LP set allows you to experience this 1970 masterpiece with unrivaled intimacy, realism, detail, and perspective. The Dead might as well be sitting on a Persian carpet right in your living room.

The pinnacle of the Dead's studio output, American Beauty lives up to its name-as well as that of the "American Reality" ambigram on the iconic cover. Airy vocal harmonies blow like fresh breezes. Strummed acoustic guitars amicably intermingle with plaintive percussive beats. Warmth, relaxation, and poignancy envelop the performances and create sensations of bliss, peace, and honesty. Songs flower with majestic melodies and emotionally direct lyrics. It's a rare album that invites and makes you feel, restores one's faith, and renews one's appreciation for all life offers.

Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed on 180g LP at RTI, this deluxe analog set possesses seemingly limitless dynamics, reference-grade presence, and expansive soundstages. The seamless, effortless integration of the group's vocals has always been a high point of American Beauty, and when you hear it here, you'll want every record you own to sound half as good. Every member's distinctive singing resounds with tube-like clarity; the intended expressionism is as plain as day. Instruments, too, resonate in glorious Technicolor. The supple tension of Phil Lesh's bass lines, charismatic timbres of Jerry Garcia's pedal-steel fills, and interwoven dialogue between the pianos and percussion are rendered with lifelike scale and tone.

Made just months after its companion release, Workingman's Dead, the San Francisco legends' second 1970 masterpiece furthers the former work's close-knit relationship between country and folk while adding extra rock and bluegrass currents. Understated amplified passages, graceful melodies, layered singing, and old-time string flavors-including mandolin work from masterful guest David Grisman-bestow the material with easygoing, comfortable vibes. Again taking advantage of the best songwriting of Robert Hunter's career, the Dead turns in its most collective studio performance, with every individual contributing equally and focusing on nothing but the songs at hand.

Indeed, Garcia doesn't even indulge in a single guitar solo on the record. A majority of fare lacks any significant instrumental breaks. The Dead recorded the foundations (drums, bass, acoustic guitars) of nearly every track live, which helps explain why American Beauty sounds so powerfully rich and clear. Coupled with the band's personal reflections of the circumstances surrounding them-Bob Weir's parents had died, Garcia's mother and Lesh's father were in the process of passing, Ron "Pigpen" McKernan's health was in decline-these characteristics combined to yield a purity of heart that exceeds that managed by Dead peers (and roots revivalist leaders) The Band and Bob Dylan.

From Garcia's breathtaking gospel-laden homage to his mother ("Brokedown Palace") to Lesh's healing salve in the form of the groove-based "Box of Rain," from Weir's jaunty and free-wheeling summer escape "Sugar Magnolia" to McKernan's eloquently simple homespun plea "Operator," all the way to the closing autobiographical anthem "Truckin'," American Beauty feels like the warm, spirit-infusing embrace of a loved one after a long journey away. Welcome home.

Norah Jones is the rare artist who has combined widespread critical acclaim with immense commercial success, winning nine Grammy Awards and selling 40 million albums in just a decade, while collaborating with artists from across the spectrum from jazz to hip hop, rock to country. Her pitch perfect voice combined with her choice of the finest musicians along with top-flight producers such as Arif Mardin, Danger Mouse and Jacquire King have made her releases go-to demonstration discs for audiophile stereo systems. Now ten years into her already impressive career, she is releasing her fifth studio album Little Broken Hearts on May 1, 2012 produced by and co-written with five-time Producer of the Year Grammy nominee Danger Mouse, and to celebrate, Blue Note Records and Analogue Productions are collaborating to re-issue her entire catalog in limited edition audiophile LP and SACD editions.

The LP editions of the five albums - 2002's Come Away With Me, 2004's Feels Like Home, 2007's Not Too Late, 2009's The Fall and Norah's new album Little Broken Hearts - have all been re-mastered from the original sources by Kevin Gray at Cohearant Audio. The LPs will be pressed on 200 Gram vinyl at Quality Record Pressings (fast gaining popular consensus as the best pressing plant in the world) and, keeping with Analogue Productions' standards, they will be packaged in heavy cardboard stock, tip-on, old-school gatefold sleeves.

In addition to the individual releases, Analogue and Blue Note will produce a limited edition vinyl box set comprising all five titles plus an exclusive bonus album entitled Covers. Only available as part of these sets, Covers includes ten rare or unreleased interpretations of classics recorded throughout Norah's career. Artists covered include Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Tom Waits, Horace Silver, Wilco and more. The box set will be wrapped in a textured paper that feels like linen.
