    This Album Does Not Exist

When DREAMERS talk about its debut LP This Album Does Not Exist, they assume a collective tone of considerate
    existentialism.

In 2014, Nick Wold simultaneously vacated a relationship and an apartment and after two years of
living in what the band jokes was a "musical prison," Wold wrote more than 100 songs, many of which landed on
    this album.

DREAMERS calls Los Angeles home, committed to its collective vision of artistry, inclusion, and
    idealism.

    Kill The Dreamer's Dream

Debut confronto-rock album from SF-Oakland's FLESHIES. Punk-in-your-face mayhem. Fast. Loud. Good stories. Partial nudity. What else do you want? Touring!

It seems many classic sounding punk bands are either unwilling, or unable, to take vintage punk rock and try and rework it into something exciting and energetic. They seem content to merely regurgitate tired '77-'82 cliches. FLESHIES are NOT one of those bands. Instead of simply re-visiting classic punk (or even re-inventing it) FLESHIES re-capture what it was all about. They don't sound like a new band using punk as a touchstone, they sound like a band that emerged from that era. One of the most exciting aspects of punk's first and second waves was that bands were trying to put their own unique stamp on rock 'n' roll. THE GERMS sounded nothing like X which sounded nothing like BLACK FLAG which sounded nothing like THE RAMONES, which sounded nothing like PETER AND THE TEST TUBE BABIES which sounded nothing like DEAD KENNEDYS which sounded nothing like SEX PISTOLS (you get the picture) but still each one of those bands was undeniably punk.

FLESHIES have tapped into the energy that defined classic punk but they have avoided tapping into the sound. They are doing their own thing, but it is undeniably punk as hell. Imagine taking a 70s hard rock guitar band and have them use the Detroit sound as a launching pad for playing hardcore punk in L.A. in 1980. I can't describe it any better than that, other than to say my description is only a pale shadow of how impressive the FLESHIES are. --Jeb Branin, In Music We Trust

Part Of The Blue Note 75th Anniversary Vinyl Reissue Campaign

Tenor-saxophonist Wayne Shorter's Blue Note debut found him well prepared to enter the big time. With an impressive quintet that includes trumpeter Lee Morgan, pianist McCoy Tyner, bassist Reggie Workman and drummer Elvin Jones, Shorter performed a well-rounded program consisting of five of his originals, plus an adaptation of an Oriental Folk Song. Whether it be the brooding title cut, the Coltranish ballad Virgo or the jams on Black Nile and Charcoal Blues this is a memorable set of high-quality and still fresh music.

    American Dreamer

This 10-song debut album from one of Brooklyn's finest rock 'n' roll bands lives up to the expectations set by their previous EP. The arrangements here are simple and uncluttered, with plenty of room for singer Jeremy Fury to dip his vocals in slapback echo reminiscent of Sun Records-era Elvis Presley, and for the backing quartet to bring out the best in songs that reflect the influences of Leiber & Stoller, Eddie Cochran, and The Del-Lords. While the sound retains a '50's-'60s retro vibe, the lyrics apply themselves to universal and even modern concerns (Cam Girl says: Your profile came up on my MacBook screen.)

    The Dreamer Is The Dream

For his third ECM album as a leader, Chris Potter presents a new acoustic quartet that naturally blends melodic rhapsody with rhythmic muscle. The group includes superlative musicians well known to followers of ECM's many recordings from New York over the past decade: keyboardist David Virelles, bassist Joe Martin and drummer Marcus Gilmore, who each shine in addition to the leader on multiple horns. The Dreamer Is the Dream features Potter on tenor saxophone - the instrument that has made him one of the most admired players of his generation - in the striking opener Heart in Hand and such album highlights as Yasodhara, as well as on soprano sax (Memory and Desire) and bass clarinet (the title track).

Potter is an artist who employs his considerable technique in service of music rather than spectacle, says The New Yorker, and his composing develops in texture and atmosphere with every album. Along with his previous ECM releases, Imaginary Cities and The Sirens, he has appeared on some of the label's most acclaimed discs, including Paul Motian's classic Lost in a Dream and Dave Holland's Grammy Award-winning What Goes Around.

    Enemy/Lover

Dreamers of the Ghetto are a family band from Bloomington, IN, consisting of brothers Luke and Jonathan Jones, Luke's wife, Lauren and Marty Sprowles. After teasing blogs with enigmatic, homemade video clips for the past year, Indiana's most promising and perhaps most eccentric group finally unleashes their debut album, the stunning Enemy/Lover mixed by Kevin Ratterman (My Morning Jacket).

Dreamers of the Ghetto marries the sentiment of classic '80s film soundtracks to minimalist, romantic dream-rock, creating a unique environment that becomes almost instantly addicting. The triumphant, reach-for-the-stars attitude of veterans like U2 and Depeche Mode is paired with the gospel splendor of Spiritualized and ominous austerity of The xx, all carried by what Shaking Through calls the most amazing singer we've seen since Sharon Van Etten.

Dreamers of the Ghetto have mined a sound that is both timeless and nostalgic, and theyve done so with an earnest fearlessness and refreshing lack of irony. They are true, pure, and unbelievably powerful.

Hold On, Liberty is the North American debut album from the critically acclaimed German alternative band The Intersphere. With the release, the band has managed to corral their boundless energy, rigorously complex songwriting and melodic aesthetics, and almost irreverently, they succeed in giving their catchy melodies and rousing songs true depth and dynamics. On top of all this, The Intersphere recorded the entire album, in just seven days, live in the studio. No corrections and no fixed edges, making this a subtly warm and engaging listen for realists as well as dreamers alike. 180g 2LP version with CD.

    Nine Pound Shadow

Nine Pound Shadow is a happy-go-lucky band of family and childhood friends fashioning catchy melodies in the flats of West Berkeley.

They grew up humming old-school pop tunes and somehow, note-by-note, the power and mystery of classic music wound its way into the kid's mongrel DNA. The understated prettiness of simpler times grabbed their imaginations and steered their dreams.

As songwriters and performers, a timeless quality can be faintly heard in their music and their voices and underneath words they sing.

Born out of sounds past, re-forged into something raw and new, Nine Pound Shadow's music provides a vital voice to lovers and dreamers in wild times of trouble and change.

    End of Daze

Time heals all wounds, or so the phrase goes. For the dreamers however, time gives them - or maybe demands - the perspective of every angle, every possibility, every opportunity to wring out whatever is born from experience. Simple moments alone can magnify these perspectives, culminating in a deeper empathy, and for a select few, a muse for new artistic expression. Such seems the fate of Dee Dee of Dum Dum Girls.

Much has been written of Dee Dee's personal trials, but no words speak better of her handling of experience than her musical output. End of Daze offers a bracing, daring sonic example of an artist evolving in her understanding of the world.

End of Daze flows from a pair of bombastic opening tracks, through the simmering, plaintive cover of Strawberry Switchblade's "Trees and Flowers", to the regretful ballad "Lord Knows", in which Dee Dee's voice remains rich yet crystalline, a gorgeous, toned instrument revealing an awareness of fear and misstep. Closing the EP is "Season in Hell", a raucous and practically joyful closing of the book on past pains, and, perhaps more importantly, a looking forward ("Doesn't the dawn look divine?") to the future. It is the last stages of grief and its repercussions, a hopeful awakening somewhere on the other side, caught on tape.

The EP was recorded in 2011 and 2012 with Sune Rose Wagner of The Raveonettes and Dee Dee's longtime producer Richard Gottehrer, whose track record includes the Brill Building, CBGB, and Sire Records.

A bold introduction to who Bauer is on his own! the brisk and
straight-forward instrumentation immediately drops a sense of
escape and newfound confidence over the song's surface. - XPN

A scruffy, reverb-spaced take on heartland American rock, it brings to

Liberation! is the title of Peter Matthew Bauer's debut solo
album, a poignant and anthemic blend of soulful balladry, folk-tinged meditations, and full-bore rock & roll, crafted with an
oblique nod towards the explosion of art, rock, and attitude that
emerged from NYC in the '70s. Formerly a member of beloved
NYC group The Walkmen, Bauer uses Liberation! as an
opportunity to welcome the rest of the world into his personal
history of a childhood spent living in ashrams, and a life shaped
by the constant presence of religion and mythology amidst
uncertainty. It's a bold, bracing collection of songs for the mind,
body and spirit with the power to grab you and shake you out of
your environment. Leveraging traces of Eastern arrangements
in a solidly Western rock experience, Liberation! is the

Now, Sundazed Music brings the Mamas and the Papas' much-requested, long-out-of-print second and third albums back to the marketplace in LP editions that preserve their timeless brilliance for the ages.

Released in early 1967, the group's third longplayer Deliver is one of the Mamas and the Papas' essential works, and an exquisitely engaging expression of the group's singular pop artistry. My Head Is An Animal

Of Monsters and Men is an amiable group of day dreamers who craft folkie pop songs. With the Icelandic group's bright, trumpeting single Little Talks winning over one blog at a time, Nanna Bryndis Hilmarsdottir and her bandmates (co-singer/guitarist Ragnar Raggi Þórhallsson, guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, piano/accordion player Árni Guðjónsson, and bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson) are well on their way to becoming citizens of the world.

Nanna, who began as the acoustic act Songbird, recruited extra hands to bolster her sound for a solo show. She liked how her vocals commingled with Raggi's, so they started writing songs together and in 2010 morphed into Of Monsters and Men. As victors of 2010's Músiktilraunir, the new group earned a slot on the influential Iceland Airwaves festival later that year, followed by Seattle's radio station KEXP posting Little Talks from a Living Room Session filmed there, setting the telltale ripple effect in motion. By the summer of 2011 Little Talks hit #1 in the band's native country, and people around the world seemed to be listening to us, marvels Raggi. The band was asked to perform again at Iceland Airwaves 2011, where KEXP then anointed the group as easily the most buzzed about band.

Though their reach is growing broader, the group's appeal has remained distinct. Their music is as fantastical as it is pretty. For inspiration, they often reference random stories they've read. The chanting, tribal Six Weeks was inspired by the true tale of American frontiersman Hugh Glass, seemingly left for dead after a bear attack. As for the swelling, epic From Finner, it's about a whale that has a house on its back says Raggi on which people travel across the ocean, exploring different places and having adventures. Little Talks, explores loneliness and insanity, while Love Love Love ruefully ruminates on heartbreak. If you listen to the lyrics, they're not as uplifting, he says. But our music is meant to be fun to sing along to.

Their full-length debut, My Head Is an Animal immediately reached #1 in their native Iceland and will now see its worldwide release via Universal Records. The album features production by Of Monsters and Men, Aron Amaarsson and Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse, Cold War Kids) while Craig Silvey (Florence + The Machine, Arcade Fire) handled mixing duties. My Head Is An Animal sounds like a dream and its pure bliss to listen to!

[The music of the Tijuana Panthers] sounds something like they had

    Cramps in a sunlit garage."
    - LA Weekly

the polished punx in vintage pop-snarlers like the Only Ones, the
    Real Kids, or Generation X."
    -Spin

Live and on record, the Tijuana Panthers are a great band. You
could say garage, punk or surf while describing their sound, but
they're harder to pin than that. The truth is that they write classic
songs that don't depend on tropes from any genre. They craft perfect
pop and deliver it with energy and immediacy. However, the real
magic of this band is in their weirdness.

Behind their picturesque portraits of daily life is an aching despair.
This subtle contrast creates an eerie tension between the ideal, the
real and the surreal. You suddenly realize they're not the happy-golucky beach boys you tried to pin them as, but more akin to sexually
frustrated soda jerks in a David Lynch film. And this all makes sense
with the fact that they come from Southern California's shadier city
of Long Beach, not exactly the fun in the sun that California dreamers might expect.

For Wayne Interest, the Panthers team up with producer Richard
Swift. The recordings took place at Swift's studio in Oregon where
the band decidedly took risks in performance and production. The
risks paid off. With Swift's direction and upgrade in fidelity, Wayne
Interest sounds just as compelling in headphones as it would at a
house party in East LA. It also gives the listener a closer look at the
idiosyncrasies of the Tijuana Panthers, only making it clearer that
there's something off about these creeps. Their weirdness, or boldness to be whoever they may be, is what makes this band great. It's
a rare quality. The more you listen to the Tijuana Panthers the more
    you wonder about them.

While many rocking bands in San Francisco and beyond claim to be 'garage' bands' - Kelley Stoltz has actually recorded his new LP Double Exposure in the garage behind his house. And while the car oil stained floors are covered by oriental rugs and there are no snow shovels laying around - there is a collection of vintage synths, 17 guitars, tape echos, mellotrons, a 50's jukebox, a Teardrop Explodes poster, a tape machine used by The Residents, an amp used by Stooge James Williamson, and a myriad other noise making devices which rear their heads on his new record. All told the place is called Electric Duck Studio and it's become a muse capturing zone for Stoltz, as well as Sonny & the Sunsets, The Mantles, Tim Cohen, Life Stinks, The Sandwitches and many other tuneweavers big and small.

Double Exposure is Kelley's first album in a while - near on 3 years since his last one, To Dreamers came out on Sub Pop. What the heck has he been doing since, you ask? Well, renovating the garage for one, and using said garage studio to engineer, produce or encourage the above named bands You see time flies when you're having fun. Add in some love, a little heartbreak, turning 40, deciding to jog everyday, staring at the wall, singing hundreds of songs into the phone, sleeping, recording an album of cover songs with his family, making a couple 45 singles, catching white wine buzzes, getting dropped by Sub Pop, playing keyboards on tour with Rodriguez, and signing on with old supporters at Third Man Records really it's as good old Sandy Denny sang, who knows where the time goes.

Anyway, if you stir up all that stuff and a few other things we won't mention here, you have the makings of a fantastic and heartfelt record, Double Exposure has 10 new jams that Thee Oh Sees main man, John Dwyer, describes thusly, A piece of gold in your ear, A lovely thought in your mind, A breeze in the sun, This record is perfect

Nicely put there Johnny! And you too will thrill to the sound of delay pedals twisting the keys on Inside My Head, crane your neck to the backwards guitars of Are You My Love, ramble and gamble to the clanging cymbals on the title track, question the sanity of a song called Kim Chee Taco Man, and finally, fall down and weep at the sweet fluted sentiments of It's Summertime Again.

For all of you Aussie rules fans, the album was mixed and mastered by Mikey Young of Eddy Current Suppression Ring/Total Control and features Stoltz playing most of the instruments himself and overdubbing parts through his trusty 8 track tape machine.

    Topiary (Colored Vinyl)

Half-Moon Vinyl (Half Black, Half Transparent)

Ghostly International presents Xeno & Oaklander's new full-length album Topiary.
In their fifth album to date, the Brooklyn based girl / boy electronic duo explores
    themes of arcana and electricity.

The title 'Topiary' refers to a highly ornamental hand sculpted garden such as
Levins Hall in Cumbria UK or the stately grounds of Versailles. Pruned and
fashioned into forms, shrubs and trees are turned into semblances of abstract and
natural shapes - nature imitating nature, much to the delight of dreamers and
romantics. The band, Sean McBride and Liz Wendelbo, views the album as a
journey through the manifold hallways of electro magnetic architecture and
    enchanted landscapes.

The sound of Topiary is rich and deep; like a 60s French Pop album shot through a
prism of late renaissance chamber music. Liz Wendelbo's voice seems haunted by
ghosts of YÉYÉ girls, Françoise Hardy's whispers set against a glorious backdrop
of blaring synthetic horns and organs.

Known for their signature analog synth sound, Xeno & Oaklander have been
quoted as referring to their synths as elemental: fire is what powers energy,
voltage and electricity. Electro magnetism is electric energy, like lightning in the
sky: here it is controlled by switches and buttons, shaped by filters and
envelopes, and travels through patch cables and modules to create synthetic
creations of classical instruments: pianos, brass, guitars, percussions. The result is
    orchestral and textured.

A room - a sound studio is often referred to as 'the room': it has a sound, a history,
and ghosts in its machines. Xeno & Oaklander's new album was recorded at the
Tom Tom Club / Talking Heads' Clubhouse Studio deep in the woods of New
England. Known for their analog synthesizer sound, Xeno & Oaklander plugged in
their entire arsenal of synths into the Clubhouse array of analog outboard gear.
They used their signature style of recording: the album was recorded as a live
session, but this time in a bracketed amount of time and in one place. Everything
was arranged, recorded and mixed in a month at the Clubhouse. Liz and Sean
were intent on creating a sense of dimensionality with this recording by exploring
the idea of 3D in sound: left, right, back and front as well as up and down. Room
tone is present in the recordings themselves, so that 'the room' is present in the
songs, and so that there is a trace of the space in the sound itself: making this a
unique recording. The vinyl and Cd are mixed seamlessly like a constant pulse of
    electricity.

Metaphysics, the study of being, time and space is a long time fascination for
Xeno & Oaklander and the inspiration for part of their band name. Xeno was a
pre-Socratic philosopher whose view on the world tipped it upside down and
inside out: he is known for his paradoxes; in short what you see is not what you
get, life is a chimera, an illusion, a matter of perception. It is this inversion that
captures the imagination of the band. Day vs. night, hot vs. cold, sunshine vs.
moonlight, glitter vs. silver, chemistry vs. alchemy, stasis vs. movement; these are
themes that permeate their lyrics and sounds.

The artwork by Liz Wendelbo echoes the electro magnetic theme with what looks
like a starry night sky or skyscraper at night. It is a blown up X-Ray of protein
photographed through an electron microscope - what is called X-Ray crystallography.
In Liz's words what is deep inside of us is a reflection of what is above us: and
    electricity runs through it all.

    Union

Union's release in 1988 announced a bold, incendiary new voice in the singer/songwriter sweepstakes in Toni Childs. The well-traveled Childs, the short-term original lead singer for Berlin, draws upon the vast experiences of her life and delivers them with an urgency that is hypnotically compelling. It's all tied together by David Tickle's production and aided by first-rate backing by musicians including songwriting collaborator David Ricketts, drummer Rick Marotta and guitarist David Rhodes. The single Don't Walk Away kicks things off in high gear and Childs rarely looks back. Her take-no-prisoners vocal drives the funky, horn-driven track, which is backed by the gospel swell of the background vocalists. Although the rest of the album is a little more sedate, Childs never loses the urgent edge to her dusky voice. Stop Your Fussin' is sung to a restless lover over a Caribbean rhythm and Hush has a playful bounce to it. Elsewhere, Zimbabwae is a parable detailing African strife complete with chanting background vocals and Dreamer provides her with a bed of keyboards that shimmer like stars. The twice Grammy-nominated Union received universal critical acclaim and is riveting right through the moody poetry of the final track, Where's the Ocean. Tom Demalon

Pressed On 180 Gram Virgin Vinyl LP By RTI

Top Quality Gatefold Packaging With Laminated Covers & High Quality Session Photos

Wayne Shorter made a major impact on the Jazz world during 1963-64. He left Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers to become a member of the Miles Davis Quintet, and he recorded Night Dreamer and Juju as a leader for Blue Note. Speak No Evil is even notable than those two gems, for Shorter had developed into not only one of the most original tenor-saxophonists of the 1960?s but also one of its most vital composers. With superb playing by Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Freddie Hubbard and Elvin Jones, Shorter introduces six unique compositions including Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum, Speak No Evil and Infant Eyes. Hubbard and Hancock consistently raise the temperature with fiery solos. Shorter's playing and writing are both beyond description, utilizing a logic all his own which, over time, has become a major influence in Modern Jazz. Throughout Speak No Evil, Shorter creates brilliant new music like no one else.

Yusef Lateef: Live at Ronnie Scott's

    Live at Ronnie Scott's January 15th 1966

This is a previously unreleased live club performance from Yusef Lateef, the brilliant multi-instrumentalist whose mixing of jazz and Eastern music was a great influence on some of the finest musicians of the era including John Coltrane and Pharaoh Sanders.

Accompanied at Ronnie Scott's by the house band of pianist Stan Tracey, double bassist Rick Laird and drummer Bill Eyden, most of the repertoire played comes from Lateef's earlier recordings for Savoy and Prestige such as Jazz Moods and Eastern Sounds. Lateef plays flute on The Dreamer and Last Night Blues (it was the last night of the run). He plays the shenai - a kind of oboe - on Blues from The Orient, the xun - a Chinese flute - on Song of Delilah, and tenor saxophone on Yusef's Mood.

The evening's performance was recorded by Les Tomkins at the request of Ronnie Scott. The musicians were unaware they were being recorded as Scott believed they would be at their best and most unselfconscious this way. This record was mastered at Gearbox Records directly from the original 1/4" tapes.

    My Human Wears Acedia Shreds

    Limited Edition 10 paste-on sleeve

    Exclusive artwork by Dimlite

If Dimlites recent Prismic Tops EP served as a stunning
reintroduction to one of electronic musics most underrated talents,
then My Human Wears Acedia Shreds is a warning to listeners and
peers alike: keep up or be left behind. This quartet of songs finds the
Swiss producer creating wide-eyed and progressive music that
synthesises free jazz, prog- and kraut-rock, and much more. There is
no one else quite on his level, no one who inhabits a world so
    complete and unique.

While he built his reputation with a string of pioneering releases on
Germanys Sonar Kollectiv label that took hip-hop as their starting
point, these days Dimlite is more Soft Machine than drum machine, a
kindred spirit of purveyors of avant-pop such as Panda Bear, and the
playful prog giants of the past. This quartet of songs contains a
richness that makes these his most satisfying compositions yet. Just
check Metal Snake Rider, an expansive opus packed into just over
    three minutes of non-stop invention.

At times its even pretty, though Dimlite seems uneasy about the
beauty he creates, never allowing anything too perfect to take shape
before clipping its wings or trampling it back into the dirt. Its this
tension in his music that makes it so captivating: a constant tussle of
wills between the dreamer and the cynic, the traveller and the
trapped. Just check Loins, in which long-time collaborator
Misel Quitnos drums thump out a brutish ode to Can while
Dimlites celebratory harmonies are taunted by the anxious
squall that lurks beneath. Though ask its creator and hell tell you
simply, its about loins and using them properly.

By the time you have adjusted to the dream-world of My Human
Wears Acedia Shreds Dimlite will pull the plug, dropping you
back into your monochromatic doldrums. Its OK though. As you
unravel the secret code in EP closer Gone-O-Tron, youll know
    its not forever.
