The Puppet MasterAn underground icon and purveyor of all things dark and mysterious, KING DIAMOND and his cohorts continue to terrorize humanity with their latest and most extreme album to date, The Puppet Master. This gruesome tale set to take place in 18th century Budapest, Hungary involving a puppet show and many fascinating characters. One cold night in December the main character known as Unfortunate Man goes down to see a Christmas puppet show and after the show he is standing outside and sees a young woman. He is strangely drawn to this young woman, Victoria, almost as if one of the puppet's ghosts is sitting on his shoulder whispering in his ear to go and kiss the girl. The two get along immediately due to their fascination with the puppet show and end up going out. About a year later everything is going very good until one night Victoria heads down to the puppet show by herself and never returns. The Unfortunate Man goes down to the puppet show to investigate and sees the Puppet Master's wife leaving with a wheel barrel and follows her only to see her murder a homeless man and put his body in the cart. From here the story twists and turns as it takes you through the horrific tale of the Unfortunate Man, Victoria, The Puppet Master, his wife, the puppets and the events leading to the climactic end of the story.
As King describes it this album is going to make the hairs stand up on the back of listeners neck. The rules of censorship are being thrown out the window...this is going to be the rawest story/album we have ever done. King was also quick to point out that if you are into horror; you're definitely going to get it with this album! The Puppet Master is sure to be considered one of King's goriest and most extreme stories yet!1. Midnight

The WildernessFeatures An 8-Panel Gatefold Jacket With O-Card Slipcase
The Wilderness is Explosions In The Sky's sixth album, and first non-soundtrack release since 2011's Take Care, Take Care, Take Care. True to its title, The Wilderness explores the infinite unknown, utilizing several of the band's own definitions of "space (outer space, mental space, physical geography of space) as compositional tools. The band uses their gift for dynamics and texture in new and unique ways-rather than intuitively fill those empty spaces, they shine a light into them to illuminate all the colors of the dark. From the electronic textures of the opening track to the ambient dissolve of closer "Landing Cliffs," The Wilderness is an aggressively modern and forward-thinking work-one that wouldn't seem the slightest bit out of place on a shelf between original pressings of Meddle and Obscured By Clouds. It is an album where shoegaze, electronic experimentation, punk damaged dub, noise, and ambient folk somehow coexist without a hint of contrivance-and cohere into some of the most memorable and listenable moments of the band's expansive body of work-"proper" studio albums and major motion picture soundtracks alike.
The progressive ambience of early Peter Gabriel, the triumphant romanticism of The Cure in their prime, and the more melancholy moments of Fleetwood Mac all inform the curious beauty of The Wilderness. The uncanny ability to reconcile the tension between discordant, nightmarish cacophony and laid-back, Laurel Canyon-inspired folk-rock is a cornerstone of this album, and the center of Explosions In The Sky's remarkable evolution. If The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place was the defining album of Explosions In The Sky's career, The Wilderness is the band's [re]defining album.1. Wilderness

The RiverRanked 253/500 On Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time
Mastered By Bob Ludwig Working Under The Supervision Of Springsteen & Engineer Toby Scott
The River is the fifth studio album, and the first double album by Bruce Springsteen.
The sources of The River go back into earlier parts of Springsteen's recording career. Independence Day, Point Blank, The Ties That Bind, Ramrod, and Sherry Darling were leftovers from his previous album, Darkness on the Edge of Town, and had been featured on the 1978 tour, as had parts of Drive All Night as a long interpolation within Backstreets. The River had premiered at the September 1979 Musicians United for Safe Energy concerts, gaining a featured spot in the subsequent documentary No Nukes.
Originally, Springsteen intended The River to be a single set entitled The Ties That Bind and released in late 1979 with 10 tracks. Springsteen added darker material after he'd written the title track. Indeed, The River became noted for its mix of the frivolous next to the solemn. This was intentional, and in contrast to Darkness, for as Springsteen said during an interview, Rock and roll has always been this joy, this certain happiness that is in its way the most beautiful thing in life. But rock is also about hardness and coldness and being alone ... I finally got to the place where I realized life had paradoxes, a lot of them, and you've got to live with them.LP1

The Visitor EPEssential Tremors is something of an anomaly in a city steeped in twang, bathed in sunshine and besieged with hootenannies. Code Knr, Miller, Read Only Memory, Tan, and Eerie Neighbor make up the group voted most likely to trigger a cold sweat, and we love them for it. In the past year, the band has made the charge away from guitar music with a quiet strategy of sporadic shows of crawly, four-track downer violence. During this metamorphosis, the band cut tracks with former Terrible Two and current Serration Pulse synth-lord and tone-boss Daniel Tomczak, crafting a crisp record that is globally exasperated and groovy against all odds: a nosedive into a cesspool of circuit-bent pollution with all the precision intact, notoriously tense, rife with white-knuckle paranoia and fog. Throw in well-placed pangs of electroclash, swirling synth, waterlogged bass lines, and dark-sided shit, and you have an important reminder that good times are not forever, which we are honored to bring to your turntable. This is music for strays. Do you have a home?1. The Visitor

Freedom Tower - No Wave Dance Party 2015New York City is a big place. A loud place. Some of that noise is music. And some of the music is noise.
Sucking it all in and turning it loose with prejudice, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion takes a ferocious bite out of the Big Apple with their new long-player, Freedom Tower - No Wave Dance Party 2015, the first record of the new era that demands to be stopped and frisked!
Like the best sides that percolated up from the Bronx, the Lower East Side, and Greenwich Village across the 1970s and '80s - Freedom Tower is more than a high-octane dance party record, it is a document of New York City, a chronicle of grit and terror and love!
It's all here: The Hustler and The Trust Fund Baby, the Mosh Pit Casualty, the Celebrity Chef, the Crooked Cop, the Struggling Artist, the Sucker MC, the forgotten Sex Workers and Last-Chance Cinderellas. Within these grooves are cold-water tenements, blue-chip galleries, dingy Avenue B studios, and the last real warrior poet whose dark magick brings garage rock ghosts back from the grave!
Freedom Tower is a radical portrait of New York City set to the savage funkacide of the Blues Explosion, locked and loaded with the most deadly, predatory guitar riffs that primitive magnetic tape can handle . From start to finish, Freedom Tower is overmodulated, cooked with dirt, and finished in acid rain! Freedom Tower is packed with the kind of beats and rhymes that will make even the most reserved Walter Mitty jump back and say "damn!"
For nearly a quarter-century the Blues Explosion have been sweating, freezing, eating, drinking, fucking, fighting, winning, and losing in New York City, perpetrating some of the most timeless moments of musical mayhem in the history of Manhattan and beyond. As ever, Jon Spencer tells the tales, Judah Bauer plays the blues, and Russell Simins smashes things to bits... And as always Blues Explosion stomp on the faux underground oasis peddled by bourgeois hipsters and marketing jocks to deliver the real deal - rock'n'roll that is unapologetically nasty and strong.
Rehearsed and polished in a string of secret gigs and unannounced opening slots in theaters, hotel bars, and dives (often under assumed names), and then recorded at the legendary Daptone House Of Soul in Bushwick and mixed with hip-hop cult legend Alap Momin at the cutting edge of Harlem, Freedom Tower is the most provocative statement of urban pathos and panache ever recorded.
Play this record at all-night rent parties, picnics, discotheques, and protests!

Gorgeously haunted - Pitchfork
We seek the new because of the numbness. If you listen to enough
music, you're familiar with the feeling. Sounds get recycled so often
that they can seem like geometric configurations organized via Wav
files. Trends get time-stamped faster than a triplicate trap hi-hat.
The most rare records emerge outside of any clearly delineated orbit.
They're solitary visions that supply their own rhythm and arsenal.
Music that reverberates through heart, brain, and spine. This is Nosaj
Thing's third album, Fated.
"I just tried to escape really, and escape even what's going on in the
music world," says Nosaj Thing, the LA producer born Jason Chung. "It
just felt so suffocating in a way. I just wanted to do my own thing."
It's been six years since Nosaj Thing emerged among the vanguard of
Low End Theory-affiliated producers. His debut Drift created 31st
century tones and chromatic textures so sleek that they inspired
innumerable Soundcloud imitators.
None could match its moody iridescence, faded sadness and funky
swing. Bach collided with Boards of Canada. Spaceships came
equipped with rear view mirrors and a booming system bumping
G-Funk and warped soul. Pitchfork called it "gorgeously haunted."
Resident Advisor said it "exists in its own dimension and feeds off its
own exhaust: full of alien choirs, conquered computers, and refracting
Fated exists in this same alternate dimension, but further out. If
comparisons previously existed with other artists within the LA beat
scene, Nosaj has rendered them baseless. His second album on
Innovative Leisure (after 2013's Home) seeks celestial escape through
"The last record took out so much of me. I just wanted to go back to
simplifying and overthinking so much. It was a battle," Nosaj says.
"The soul of a song, the essence of a song-whatever you want to call
it-should be simple."
By stripping away all but what's really necessary, the sounds harness
an unusual directness. Guest appearances are rare, save for vocals
from Whoarei on "Don't Mind Me," and Chicago rap phenomenon,
Chance the Rapper. The latter gravely spits on "Cold Stares," invoking
terminal fevers, empty beds, devil's whispers, and insomniac fears.
If comparisons crop up, Fated has most in common with records like
Burial's Untrue or Dilla's Donuts. Requiems that canvass the shadowy
hinterlands between life and death, darkness and light, loneliness and
love. Eternal themes re-imagined in ingenious fashion.
"The album name came from all these coincidences that just kept on
happening to me," Nosaj says. "Specific interaction with specific
people in unexpected places. A perpetual feeling of dÉjà vu."
It's foundation rests on that intangible thing that some call fate or
primordial feeling. Numbness receding, old emotions flooding back,
un-tampered visions. Fated is what you can't explain, so it's best to
just listen.1. Sci

WW (Out of Stock)Sixth Album Of Ferocious Black Metal From This Cult Norwegian Act
Norwegian band Gehenna was formed in early 1993, with the recording of their cult 'Black Seared Heart' demo taking place later that same year, followed shortly by the release of the debut 7" 'Ancestors of the Darkly Sky'. Gehenna became known for their melodic and grim black metal, with symphonic elements adding greatly to the atmosphere of the music, particularly on early releases. The band's style progressed over the years, taking on more death and thrash metal elements at times before returning to black metal with this release & their long-awaited upcoming album.
'WW' was Gehenna's sixth album, was originally released in 2005 and was notable for the appearance of Frost from Satyricon on drums. The album saw a
stripped-down approach to writing compared to some of their previous works, with these primitive black metal tracks exuding a dark, cold, yet brutal atmosphere, written by co-founding member Sanrabb, with the lyrics based around themes of war.
'WW' was recorded at Steel Production Studios and Realnoise Studios during 2003 and 2004.1. Grenade Prayer
