Bob's Burgers premiered on the Fox network January 2011, and quickly became one of the most watched series on television. After enjoying the highest-rated new season premiere of the 2010-11 season, Bob's Burgers quickly settled into an average viewership of over 4 million per episode. The show has won an Emmy award and been nominated five times, including a current nomination for Outstanding Animated Program. It has inspired many popular spinoff items, including a recent, best-selling cookbook. With the seventh season set to premiere this fall, Bob's Burgers' cultural influence only grows.

Now comes The Bob's Burgers Music Album, featuring 107 songs from the first 107 episodes (all six existing seasons), plus five special cover versions of songs from the show. Originally broadcast within the episodes - and often in abbreviated form - these songs appear here in their freestanding glory for the first time.

    • The album features the main cast members - Bob (Jon Benjamin) and Linda (John Roberts) and their children Tina (Dan Mintz), Gene (Eugene Mirman) and Louise (Kristen Schaal) - singing original songs that build on the show's unique sense of humor.

    • Also featured are many of the show's recurring and special guests, from comedians like Aziz Ansari, Sarah Silverman, Kevin Kline, Paul Rudd, Bill Hader, Zack Galifianakis, and Fred Armisen, to musical guests Cyndi Lauper and Carly Simon.

    • Includes five never-aired "Bob's Buskers" cover versions of songs from the show performed by St. Vincent, the National, Lapsley, and Stephin Merritt of Magnetic Fields.

    Burgers (Speakers Corner)

The exploration of psychedelic depths did not appear to suffice the founders of Jefferson Airplane - Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady - when searching for their musical salvation. So why not amalgamate their hippy-like simple lifestyle and folksy music with the formation of a second band called Hot Tuna, emotional yet not so synthetically hotted-up? Even in the very first number, True Religion, whose airy, bubbling folksy finger-picking soars up into powerful waves of rock, the message of this first studio album comes over loud and clear. Growling bass melodies and the representation of a life on the road (Keep On Truckin') conjure up a down-to-earth country feeling, with an off-key fiddle tune (Let Us Get Together Right Down Here) accentuating the rough yet cordial get-together. The purely instrumental Water Song is a stroke of genius - this humming, buzzing guitar mix doesn't only demonstrate the players' instrumental dexterity but also their keen sense of melody and ear for sound colouring. No matter whether gruff Hillbilly, cool blues rocker, or square and nostalgic former hippy - they'll all love this album. Just think: for whom else does Hot Tuna still go on tour ...?

    Musicians:

    • Jorma Kaukonen (guitar, vocal)

    • Jack Casady (bass, vocal)

    • Papa John Creach (violin, vocal)

    • Sammy Piazza (drums, percussion, vocal)

    • Nikki Buck (organ, piano)

    • Richmond Talbott (vocal, guitar)

    • David Crosby (vocal)

Recording: 1972 by 'The Unknown Engineer' at Wally Heider Studios, San Francisco

    About Speakers Corner

At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Speakers Corner all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.

During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existant tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.

A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.

We should like to emphasise that Speakers Corner Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle. We have one digital recording in our catalogue (Alan Parsons / Eye In The Sky"), but even in this particular case we used the analogue tapes for cutting.

We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.

To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects - excluding the exception above - and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

    Uncle Meat

The soundtrack for a film that remained incomplete for over a decade, Uncle Meat is one of the finest albums produced by Zappa and the original Mothers of Invention. Showcasing every facet of the band, Uncle Meat is filled with quirky Zappa instrumentals like the title track and the Dog Breath Variations, rock staples like Cruisin' For Burgers and Mr. Green Genes, and an epic suite of instrumental fervor centered around the jazz-rock forerunner, King Kong.- Andrew Boscardin

    Jessie Jones

In 2013, Jessie Jones gave up her possessions, vanished into the nothingness of farm country, and found herself on interstellar overdrive - far away from her Disneyfied home in Orange County. For three years, she had fronted Burger Records' Feeding People, OC's answer to Black Sabbath. The teenage byproduct of gloomy acid trips and gospel choirs, Feeding People released two albums, got signed to Innovative Leisure in 2011, and played Low End Theory with Radiohead's Thom Yorke . The 19-year-old Jones, with her bluesy growl and whimsical melodies, was being compared to Jefferson Airplane's Grace Slick, Janis Joplin, and Screaming Females' Marissa Paternoster. In 2014, her voice returned to her with primal intent - like the caterwauling echoes of coyotes deep in the Hollywood hills. Earlier this year, Jones began singing with paranormal proto-punk outfit Death Valley Girls, which allowed her to release her demons and find salvation during what Jones describes as the most cosmically ordained project of her life. Reveling in the quantum wobble of her own alternative reality, Jones is now releasing her self-titled debut on Burger Records by channeling the voices in her head; not quite the sanitarium blues of Roky Erickson, but a mÉlange of Jim Morrison mysticism; a more stripped-down MGMT meets early-Grouplove; and Syd Barrett reverie. Under the guidance of producer Bobby Harlow (The Go) and Burger's Studio B, Jones' debut this summer will include guest appearances by drummer Duke Mushroom, violinist Hannah Glass, and Studio B regular King Tuff.

    Inventions

After releasing the excellent double A single for 'No Expression/Alone' the other week, it was very nice indeed to get my first listen of 'Inventions' from The Sufis - an album that comes in collaboration from arguably two of the most interesting labels out there at the minute in Ample Play and Burger Records.

...After receiving critical acclaim for their debut last year, the psych-pop band from Nashville, Tennessee, which is made up of Calvin Laporte and Evan Smith, are back and have expanded their pop sound with great results on their latest offering.

Kicking off with 'All Of The Time', the band transport you back in time. With the groove and thunderous drum role, there is more than a hint of 'Revolver' and tracks like 'Taxman' in its sound, although the record has a lot more to it than just that. Short sharp bursts of ingenious songwriting are littered all over the record. The harmonica and cymbal crashing led beauty of 'Most Peculiar Happening Cat' or the floating melody of 'Wallflower' are great examples of this. In fact, it's worth noting that only one song on the album actually runs over the 3 minute mark. These guys don't do epic - but they make great tunes.

The album is a collection of great ideas all captured beautifully in a style of their own. Using old school equipment and effects they've invented themselves, the sound is impressive, with an array of instrumentation being used throughout. Personal favourites are many on the album and 'I'll Come To See You' and the more up tempo 'Expressions', which is probably the most rocking track on the LP, are excellent. 'The End', where the maraca beat changes to tambourines is nothing short of quality, as trumpet, piano and excellent guitar work thrown into the mix make this and 'Gotta Get Away' my personal picks - although to be honest it's pretty difficult to choose with so many great songs.

Fans of the first record will not be disappointed one bit. In fact, the band have stepped it up another level on 'Inventions' and this is an album that you will definitely want to get your hands on. Another sold out vinyl? I think so.

    Mexican Coke

For born-and-bred Nashvillian Chris Denney, it all began at age 9---Stealing pills from his Grandma's medicine cabinet, smoking 2 packs a day and eventually graduating to marijuana by the age of 13. It wasn't until about 5 years ago that Denney started channeling his life experiences into vivid tales of what he knows best - Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll. Denney and The Jets' debut LP, Mexican Coke was recorded and mixed in just 5 days in East Nashville on to 2" tape by Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes "Boys and Girls") and Chris Denney with help from friends Clear Plastic Masks (Serpents and Snakes/Dine Alone) who backed Denney in the studio and co-produced.

    Living Daylight

Michael Rault is a Toronto based singer, guitarist and songwriter fronting his own eponymously named band. A gifted multi-instrumentalist and arranger, his hooky blend of pop rock refracts an evolution of guitar based music through the ages. An era-defying mischievousness defines his synthesis of jukebox R'n'B, and acid psych as refracted through the experience of an adolescence spent idolizing the clever craftsmanship of the Beatles and the wiggy New Orleans textures of Dr. John in equal measure. As a recent transplant from his native Edmonton, the album is a melodically adventurous take on a classic theme - leaving home to make your way in the big city. Produced and recorded in collaboration with Renny Wilson (Mint Records), Living Daylight is a dynamic fusion of the past and future. An inclination for early Rock N' Roll is perverted by a heady production sensibility akin to the warped contemporary psych of Tame Impala. As a document of oddball DIY songwriting Living Daylight fits nicely in the lineage of records created by Ex-Edmontonian contemporaries like Mac Demarco or Sean Nicholas Savage. There must be something in the water .
