Ranked 16/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Dylans Masterpiece Break-Up Album: Sentimental Redemption Arises Amidst Sorrow, Turmoil, Sadness, and Pain

Presence, Immediacy, Naturalness, Realism in Spades: Mobile Fidelity Reissue Makes Blood on the Tracks Among Most Lifelike-Sounding Albums You'll Ever Hear

Songs Flow Like Rivers, Acoustic and Electric Elements Merge Like Bezels on a Diamond

Includes Tangled Up In Blue, Simple Twist of Fate, Idiot Wind, Buckets of Rain

The Freewheelin Bob Dylan, Another Side of Bob Dylan, Bringing It All Back Home, Blonde on Blonde, and The Basement Tapes Also Available from Mobile Fidelity

Bob Dylan was at several crossroads in the mid-1970s. Artistically, he was largely written off as being past his prime. Emotionally, he was suffering through a painful divorce from his then-wife Sara Lowndes. Creatively, he appeared at a stalemate, his previous decades unprecedented run of transformational brilliance finished. Then came Blood on the Tracks.

A start-to-finish cycle that documents a lovers pursuit of, entanglement with, and loss of a woman, the bracingly intimate 1975 effort remains one of the most encompassing break-up albums ever made and ranks as the most personal statement of the Bards career. To hear it is to experience the agony, frustration, trauma, highs, lows, confusion, sadness, and, ultimately, requisite redemption associated with intimate relationships gone astray. Dylan maintains its a work of fiction, but its evident close-vested autobiographical premise is what helps make it universal: Its the icon singing through tears, going out of his mind, battling hallowing emptiness, firing shots across the bow, and accepting culpability. It is, in short, a consummate expression of loves darker sides and the consequences of what happens when dreams unravel.

As part of its Bob Dylan catalog restoration series, Mobile Fidelity is thoroughly humbled to have the privilege of mastering the iconic LP from the original master tapes and pressing it on dead-quiet LPs at RTI. The end result is the very finest, most transparent analog edition of Blood on the Tracks ever producedand the first-ever proper analog reissue. Fantastically presenting both the solo acoustic and band-supported songs with the utmost clarity, dynamics, presence, immediacy, spaciousness, imaging, and balance, this version shines a high-powered light on the fluid vocal phrasing, timbral shifts, functional rhythms, and inward-looking strumming that contribute to every song here serving as a wound-exposing confessional.

For all the melancholic pain, unresolved questions, shattered memories, wasted times, unrequited dialogs, and weary regret within, Blood on the Tracks remains as daring as it is reflective. Rather than follow for a monotone caustic vibe, Dylans songs burrow into the subconscious for the manners in which they are even-keeled, mellow, and occasionally, even peaceful. Dignity, honor, poignancy, and fairnessall traits uncommon in any situation in which partners dissolve histories, change hearts, and attribute blameinstill the record with equilibrium on par with the consistency of the flowing melodies.

Throughout, tunes come on and proceed as if they could continue forever, Dylan spinning poetic verses and conversations amidst finely tied knots of acoustic notes, chords, and fills, the deceivingly simple architecture conjuring the intertwined refractions of a bezeled jewel, various angles, colors, and textures conjoining into a gorgeously inseparable whole. Backed by Tony Browns flexible albeit subtle bass, Buddy Cages country-streaked pedal-steel guitar, and Paul Griffins soul-baring organan instrument used to shadow, tuckpoint, and illuminate here as effectively as any time in rock historyDylan pours soulful emotion, open his veins, and bleeds.

Ranked 16 on Rolling Stones list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, and replete with existential thought, piercing directness, raw singing, and majestic arrangements,

Given the sonic and artistic merit of this album, we anticipate huge demand.

Blood, Sweat & Tears are truly a worldwide gift to rock and jazz fusion enthusiasts everywhere. Over four
decades in the music business and still going strong, their hit albums and top charting singles continue to captivate
millions of fans all over the globe.

In 1969, BS&T's lead vocalist David Clayton-Thomas entered this stellar group of jazz and rock musicians,
bringing a handful of new songs as they delivered the monumental Grammy Album of the Year with Blood, Sweat &
    Tears.

BS&T's sound was new and exciting, the songs were thrilling, their horns meshed with rock and roll, fusing a
brand new vibe, which continued successfully on their third amazing album Blood, Sweat & Tears 3. Featuring a treasure
trove of smash hit singles and FM radio deep track favorites, the LP soared to the number one spot.

the rest of the BS&T album with follow-up hits like the soulful tour de force of James Taylor's Fire and Rain, another
smash Traffic revisit with 40,000 Headmen and of course Steve Katz and Dick Halligan's brilliant The Battle. All in all,
making their third album one of the most revered in their long-lasting and huge BS&T catalog of classic recordings.

Elvis Costello Blood and Chocolate on Numbered Limited Edition 180g LP from Mobile Fidelity

Emotionally Cathartic Nick Lowe-Produced Set Includes I Want You, I Hope You're Happy Now, and Uncomplicated

Mastered from the Original Master Tapes and Pressed at RTI: Guitar-Driven, Stripped-Down 1986 Album Teems With Stacked Rhythms, Tonalities, Punch, and Tension

Costello at His Most Vicious: Songs Rumble and Storm, Dark Humor and Biting Lyrics Address Tumult, Jealousy, Vindictiveness

Part of Mobile Fidelity's Elvis Costello Reissue Series: Singer-Songwriter's First Eleven Studio Albums Available on Sumptuously Sounding 180g LP

Known in his youth as the angry young man, Elvis Costello waited until 1986 to create the most vicious record of his career. Stripped to the studs and produced by Nick Lowe, Blood and Chocolate seethes with vindictiveness, spite, and rancor. The 11-track effort clatters with raw rock n' roll menace and clangs with darkly humorous intent. Venomous, acerbic, and aggressive, it values rhythm and attack over harmony and melody. A volatile rite of passage on which harsh Telecaster riffs cut like razor blades and Costello spits words as if they were Molotov cocktails tossed at enemies, this is the satisfying sound of emotional catharsis.

Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed at RTI, this collectable edition of Blood and Chocolate joins Mobile Fidelity's acclaimed Costello reissues series in presenting the icon's vital records in rich, dynamic, three-dimensional analog sound. That's never been truer than it is here. Costello and Co. recorded the songs in a large room at London's Olympic Studios while playing at stage volumes, an unconventional approach that nonetheless suited the music's raw feel. Nearly every track was done in three takes or less, with minimal vocal fixes and overdubs added immediately afterward. Such energy, spark, force, and pace thrive on this reissue.

Capturing the decibel-laden atmosphere that heightens the rhythmic pace and elevates the urgency of the deliveries, Mobile Fidelity's 180g LP delivers the band's performances with wall-of-sound hugeness and booming authority. And while this isn't a record where subtlety reigns, listeners can now discern the acoustic guitar strummed by Lowe for the foundation of the savage Uncomplicated as well as the nuanced final bars of the inimitable I Want You on which each member's instrumental track is switched off to bleed into Costello's vocal microphone. Indeed, for all the apparent chaos, Steve Nieve's keyboards even get accurate placement and imaging on this incredible pressing. Then there's the temperament of the songs themselves-perhaps best described by Costello.

The album title and Eamon Singer's crude cover painting reflected some intense and uncertain situations. The record might have well been a blurred polaroid: a smashed-up room, a squashed box of chocolates, some broken glass and a little blood smeared on the wall, wrote the singer in 2002. The album [is] a pissed-off 32-year-old divorce's version of the musical blueprint with which I had begun my recording career with the Attractions. Indeed, the band-on the verge of fraying at the seams and at each other's throats in close confines-pummels twanging chords, beats up on notes, turns up amplifiers, and eyes everything with great suspicion.

Lyrically, Costello has seldom been wittier, sharper, or more malicious. The snarling, tables-turning I Hope You're Happy Now joins Bob Dylan's Positively Fourth Street as among the most lacerating kiss-off tunes ever penned. Similarly sarcastic, Next Time Round lends a pop rave-up air to the album's otherwise dark assault. The bloodletting Crimes of Paris and Poor Napoleon (featuring Pogues singer Cait O'Riordan playing the role of the voice of pity) confront the consequences of traumatic relationships and lustful choices with a savvy intellect. Given the mood and mindset of everyone and everything involved, it's no surprise that Costello and the Attractions wouldn't again work together until eight years later. Saying that Blood and Chocolate was worth the sacrifice is an understatement.

Winner of 3 Grammys in 1970 (Album of the Year, Best Arrangment for Spinning Wheel and Best Contemporary Instrumental Perfomance for Variations On A Theme By Erk Satie) this absolutely mind-blowing album peaked at #1 on the US Charts, staying there for seven weeks, going double platinum by the end of 1969 and stayed on the top 40 for 66 weeks. It's actually in the 13th place of the best selling albums from all time in the US with about 3 millions copies sold.

Arguably, the Blood, Sweat & Tears that made this self-titled second album - consisting of five of the eight original members and four newcomers, including singer David Clayton-Thomas - was really a different group from the one that made Child Is Father To The Man, which was done largely under the direction of singer/songwriter/keyboard player/arranger Al Kooper. They had certain similarities to the original: the musical mixture of classical, jazz, and rock elements was still apparent, and the interplay between the horns and the keyboards was still occurring, even if those instruments were being played by different people.

Kooper was even still present as an arranger on two tracks, notably the initial hit You've Made Me So Very Happy. But the second BS&T, under the aegis of producer James William Guercio, was a less adventurous unit, and, as fronted by Clayton-Thomas, a far more commercial one. Not only did the album contain three songs that neared the top of the charts as singles - You've Made Me So Very Happy, Spinning Wheel, and And When I Die - but the whole album, including an arrangement of God Bless The Child and the radical rewrite of Traffic's Smiling Phases, was wonderfully accessible. It was a repertoire to build a career on, and Blood, Sweat & Tears did exactly that, although they never came close to equaling this album.

    Musicians:

    • Lew Soloffm Chuck Winfield (trumpet, fluegel horn)

    • Jerry Hyman (trombone)

    • Jim Fielder (bass)

    • Bobby Colomby (drums, percussion, vocal)

    About Pure Pleasure

At the beginning of the 90s, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Pure Pleasure all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records.

During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CDs, LPs, digital files, MP3s - or employed existent tools from the 80s and 90s for manufacturing.

A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay.

We should like to emphasize that Pure Pleasure Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle.

We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production.

To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

BURY YOUR DEAD have been making a name for themselves in the New England hardcore music
scene since their 2001 birth. Having spawned from such ground-breaking acts as BLOOD HAS BEEN
SHED, AS THE SUN SETS, PIECEMEAL and GROUNDZERO, the members come from an extensive background of all genres of music.

BURY YOUR DEAD originally set out to do the band for fun, but fans quickly took notice after they solidified their line-up which includes former BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME drummer, Mark Castillo. BURY YOUR DEAD decided to keep their material simple, energetic, sweet and remarkably heavy.
After playing many shows and building a solid fan base on the East Coast, Eulogy/Alveran Recordings made BURY YOUR DEAD an offer they couldn't pass up.

In Summer 2002, they went out on their first tour and shared the stage with GLASSJAW, POISON THE WELL, ANDREW W.K. and BANE. After constant touring, BURY YOUR DEAD hit the studio to record their Eulogy Records debut, a 5-song CD EP, You Had Me At Hello.
VICTORY RECORDS quickly took notice and announced their signing in April 2004.

Their VICTORY RECORDS debut, Cover Your Tracks, is set to take the metal and hardcore worlds by storm while the band invades the streets all year long.

With a career spanning 34 years, EXODUS has not only helped shape and define the thrash metal genre for over three decades, but they continually stretch and raise the genre's boundaries. One of the forefathers of the Bay Area scene, the band's 1985 debut album, Bonded By Blood, has since become a legendary album featuring mandatory live staples such as "Strike Of The Beast", "A Lesson In Violence", and the album's title track.

Formed in 1980, the band's original members included Tom Hunting on drums, Kirk Hammett (Metallica) & Tim Agnello on guitars and Carlton Melson on bass. With a line-up that has evolved throughout the years, the current incarnation of EXODUS charges into the future with returning frontman Steve "Zetro" Souza on vocals, Gary Holt and Lee Altus on guitars, Tom Hunting on drums, and Jack Gibson on bass.

In 2014, EXODUS closed the first half of the year with stellar performances at Kirk Hammett's Fear FestEvil and Rock On The Range, as well as a groundbreaking tour with fellow thrash legends Slayer and Suicidal Tendencies. To date, EXODUS has released nine studio albums, two live albums, and one compilation. Their most recent release, Exhibit B: The Human Condition, debuted within the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart in 2010.

For this 1981 release, Edge and Creed brought in brothers John and Hilary
Stench on drums and bass. The brothers hailed from the extremely popular
local new wave band, Pearl Harbour & the Explosions, formed in 1978 in San
Francisco. This new rhythm section can definitely be heard, making Chrome
a bit more danceable‟ if you will and the first inklings of that driving
industrial metal beat can be heard. Tracks like excellent Perfumed Metal
are a perfect example of this transformation.
It was also in 1981 that Chrome received an offer to perform live in Italy from a group of Italian fans.
Chrome had never appeared live before, but unbelievably they accepted the Italian gig and flew to Bologna,
Italy to play their first ever live concert. The live instrumental track included here is from that legendary
Italian concert, on July 20, 1981.

    Blood On Ice

Bathory's famed lost album, Blood on Ice, was originally recorded in the late '80s, smack-dab in the middle of the Swedish group's revolutionary transition from its barbaric black metal beginnings to the ambitiously orchestrated Viking metal of its golden era. At the time, the work was deemed far too big a departure by band mastermind Quorthon, who, among other things, shockingly substituted his raspy croak for actual singing throughout -- but, as with any abandoned project, retrospective evidence also suggests that Quorthon was also less than secure about whether his songwriting and musicianship were yet developed enough to fulfill his vision. Shrouded in mystery for the ensuing half-decade, Blood on Ice was finally resurrected and completed (replete with story-advancing sound effects) to Bathory's satisfaction in 1996, at which time it was released to widely deserved critical and fan acclaim, despite a few but distinct shortcomings that placed its overall achievement slightly below that of acknowledged triumphs like Blood Fire Death and Hammerheart. Sliding into gear rather slowly with tentative offerings like the title track, One Eyed Old Man, and The Sword (which sounds way too similar to Manowar's Blood of My Enemies), the album eventually reaches cruising speed with outstanding moments like The Stallion, The Woodwoman, and the colossal Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain, whereupon Quorthon's vocals (sometimes given to off-pitch variations) sound better than ever before. The gentle acoustic bridge The Ravens sets up the epic, nine-minute masterstroke of The Revenge of the Blood on Ice, which may single-handedly convince even the most cynical of listeners that this long-forgotten work deservingly belongs within Bathory's hallowed canon. Also worth mentioning, the album's lengthy (meaning biblically sized) explanatory liner notes read like a veritable Rosetta Stone for longtime Bathory supporters, shedding unprecedented historical light and perspective upon the group's mysterious history.

    Blood Pressures

The Kills, Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart, are back with the new studio album, Blood Pressures, the highly anticipated follow-up to their critically acclaimed third album, Midnight Boom.

For the sessions that became Blood Pressures, Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart returned to Key Club Studios in Michigan where they reunited with Midnight Boom engineers Bill Skibbe and Jessica Ruffins. Produced by Jamie Hince, the album was mixed in London by Tom Elmhirst.

With their basic sound intact; searing guitars, driving rhythms and sexually charged lyrical savvy, the 11 tracks on Blood Pressures find The Kills embracing a fuller sound and becoming more adventurous in the studio, while the lyrics are honest, heartfelt and sometimes just plain heartbreaking. Departing from the sparse, angular sound of Midnight Boom, the duo explore complex textures on Blood Pressures with heavier instrumentation and layered, huge-sounding harmonies. Alison and Jamie play all the instruments on the album, including piano and mellotron.

    Bad Blood

US Version Includes Three Bonus Tracks

Bad Blood, the full-length debut from Bastilleis released by Virgin Records. Bastille is the top-selling debut act of 2013 in the U.K., where Bad Blood entered the albums chart at No. 1 earlier this year and has remained in the Top 20 ever since.

The U.S. version of the album will include three bonus tracks - "The Silence," "Weight of Living, PT. I" and "Laughter Lines."

Bastille will made its U.S. television debut on "Conan" July 24. The U.K. band played a sold-out show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles and will return to the States in the fall of 2013 for its first North American tour.

Haunt, Bastille's four-song EP debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart after being released digitally. "Pompeii," the lead single, is already Top 20 at Modern Rock, and has been added by numerous stations, including KROQ-Los Angeles, 98/7-Los Angeles, Live 105-San Francisco, Q877-Chicago, KTCL-Denver, WRFF-Philadelphia, KTBZ-Houston, DC101-Washington DC and SiriusXM's Alt Nation. The "Pompeii" video has more than 30 million views.

Dan Smith, the founder of Bastille, envisioned the "Pompeii" clip as the novel I Am Legend if it were shot by the director of Drive, which hints at how inextricably intertwined music, film and literature are in his creative process. Rounding out Bastille's lineup are Will Farquarson, Kyle Simmons and Chris "Woody" Wood. The four musicians have been playing and touring together for more than two years and while each has his main role in Bastille, they effortlessly trade places on vocals, keyboards and percussion. The band's spring 2013 U.K. headline tour sold out immediately, with all 44,000 tickets gone in a day, and they are playing major festivals in the U.K, Europe and Japan this summer. Bastille's performance of "Pompeii" at Glastonbury can be seen here.

While Bad Blood sounds lush, it was actually recorded in a tiny room on limited equipment - apart from a day spent recording strings in the legendary Abbey Road Studios. Smith, working with producer Mark Crew, aimed to approach each song differently.

"I wanted each to be its own story with its own atmosphere which brings in different sounds and elements of production, incorporating aspects of the different genres and styles that I love: hip hop, indie, pop and folk," he explains. "Film soundtracks can be broad and varied, but tied together by the film itself. I hope the album will be something like that, but held together by my voice and the songwriting, each song a scene or part of a bigger picture."

"Pompeii" is an epic in miniature, a conversation between two charred bodies, frozen in time, caught in the ash that engulfed the Roman city of sin while songs like the title track and "Things We Lost in Fire" touch on the changing dynamics of relationships. "'Bad Blood' is an album crafted in one of modern pop's greatest refineries," observed Artrocker, awarding it five stars, while BBC Music said, "Bastille really deliver." Q named "Overjoyed" as "Track of the Day," noting, "[Bastille's] bewitching mixture of softly delivered vocals and glitchy tracks creates an impressive atmosphere."

    Blood Bank

Bon Iver's four-song Blood Bank collection continues down the path forged by 2008's critically acclaimed For Emma, Forever Ago.

While still tied to the identity of the place where it was born, Bon Iver is no longer an unplanned entity synonymous with Justin Vernon. It is an idea, a place and sentiment that has now become as international as it is timeless. From the title tracks remembrance of the winter warmth we seek, to the summer love tribute of b-side gem Babys, Bon Ivers snow-blanketed harmonies live across the seasons. Still, there is a reverence for sabbatical, solitude and the winding down of time. As much as Emma is about the cold, the Blood Bank collection is about the warmth that gets you through it.

Bon Iver has grown to include more than what was available at the much-fabled Wisconsin cabin, such as piano, slide guitar and vocoder. As Justin layers on harmonies in the meditative R&B acapella The Woods, he declares Im building a still to slow down the time. It is as poetic as it is necessary. Both expansive and intimate, these four songs explore the darker and lighter natures of the seasons and what they signify, and offer a dynamic glimpse into the natural energy and refined craftsmanship that characterize Justin Vernons music.

    Blood Fire Death

Blood Fire Death is the fourth album by the Swedish band Bathory. It continued the band's transition towards more epic songwriting, and includes some of the first Viking metal recordings, although is still mostly black metal. Bathory was formed in Stockholm in 1983. Founder Quorthon, a seventeen-year-old guitarist, was joined by bassist Hanoi and drummer Vans. After various name changes (beginning with Nosferatu, then Natas, Mephisto, Elizabeth Bathory and Countess Bathory) they finally settled on Bathory. Their first recording deal came that same year, when Quorthon managed to secure the consent of Tyfon Grammofon's boss to record two tracks for the compilation Scandinavian Metal Attack. The tracks which he recorded gained unexpected attention by fans. Soon afterward, Tyfon Grammofon contacted Quorthon and asked him to record a full-length album. Although Venom's Black Metal, released in 1982, was the first record to coin the term, it was Bathory's early albums, featuring Satanic lyrics, low-fi production and an inhuman vocal style, that defined the genre. Many fans have speculated Venom was an influence on Bathory; however, Quorthon has said in an interview with Kick Ass magazine in 1985 he only heard of Venom after the first Bathory album was released. He also expressed dislike for many influential and popular heavy metal bands at the time, such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. He has also stated the band's early work was influenced primarily by Black Sabbath, Motorhead, and punk rock. Bathory's self-titled debut album, and the subsequent releases The Return and Under the Sign of the Black Mark, are now regarded as major influences on the Norwegian bands which extended black metal's musical progression and popularity in the beginning of the 1990s.

    Power In The Blood

With Power in the Blood, Alabama 3 may have finally gotten everything right.
Power in the Blood takes the best bits of both previous releases, resulting in their best album yet. It's still as slickly produced as the best dance music... but they manage to infuse their electronics with genuine heart and soul - they may be the first dance act that would sound just as good unplugged. Best of all, they manage to combine guitars and drum machines with catchy anti-establishment songs while never fully lapsing into the dubious realm of Chumbawamba, which is why it's perfectly acceptable to dance along to the banjos and fiddle on standout track Woody Guthrie, even if it does boast a chorus that says Don't need no country / Don't fly no flag / Cut no slack for the Union Jack / Stars and Stripes have got me jetlagged. The lyric Mommas don't let your babies grow up to be DJs (on the superbly-titled The Devil Went Down to Ibiza) is alone worth the price of admission

    Sorrow, Tears And Blood

Uprising of 1976 in which thousands of South African students protested the forced teaching of Afrikaans, the colonial language of Apartheid. During the uprising and the ensuing riots, hundreds of students were killed. The song calls out killings that have gone on in the name of authority and totalitarian rule as well as the instruments of repression of colonial Africa - the police and the army. In this way the song indirectly references the brutality that Fela and his family have experienced in the series of raids on his family compound, the Kalakuta Republic. The musical composition parallels the somber tone of the lyrics; focused and direct, the track avoids the bombastic funk of many of Fela's compositions.

"Colonial Mentality" follows in the same manner, pointing out that those who wish to live in a post-colonial mentality are in essence living as slaves. Musically, the Africa 70 returns to a more funk and jazzy grooves while relaying a pertinent message to those who looked to Fela as a leader of the resistance.

    180 Gram Vinyl

Now on 180 gram vinyl and re-mastered from the original master tapes this 1986 release finds Costello at his rawest with furious rockers like "I Hope You're Happy Now" and "Tokyo Storm Warning." Even the ballad "I Want You" is menacing.

    Fresh Blood For Tired Vampyres

Eternal life can seem like an eternity. Ask any vampire. The continuous march of sun ups, sun downs, transformations of form, seductions, cape fittings & exsanguinations. Eventually it all just becomes an endless, tired routine. It all seems so exciting & so sexy to those of us who operate knowing we have limited time. But ask any vampire about the downside of eternal life, & you won't be surprised to hear tales of binge eating garlic bread just to feel the hurt, or of the occasional dangling of a wooden stake just over the center of the rib cage.

Electric Six knows all about eternal life. Electric Six has been around forever & it can never die. That's lovely, but it's also very tiring. Fresh Blood For Tired Vampyres is the new release by Electric Six on Metropolis Records. One listen & you will immediately understand that the sexiest vampires are urban vampires. Where E6 has dabbled in dance, hip-hop & R&B in the past, Fresh Blood is the whole enchilada. It's thirteen songs designed to make the listener interested in smooth & nasty fuckin', the way they do it in the city. From the Grandmaster Flash-inspired Number Of The Beast to the super smooth tour of the NYC outer boroughs Mood Is Improving, the listener finds himself immediately deposited into an urban drop zone with hustlas & dickblockas coming from behind every corner.

The radio-ready pop hits I'll Be In Touch & Dance With Dark Forces are the tracks that get the listener off the street & into the club. & it would not be an Electric Six album without an epic closer, that being the beautiful & haunting Spacewalkin', the ballad that assures the listener that the vampire has now fed & will live a thousand more years, albeit in outer space. Electric Six changes more frequently than change itself, but ultimately this just means they're never gonna put out the same album twice. Fresh Blood for Tired Vampires is poppy & smooth, nasty & raw...& oh so life affirming, especially if you are undead.

    Signed And Sealed In Blood

Dropkick Murphys come out swinging on their eighth full-length album, Signed and Sealed in Blood. This time around, everything has been cranked up past 10. The guitars are ballsier, the gang vocals are louder, the hooks are catchier, the lyrics stop you in your tracks. The brashest moments of Signed and Sealed in Blood feel like the last 30 seconds of a Stanley Cup hockey game: frenetic, on the edge, dangerous. The softest songs are testaments to the values that pump through the Dropkicks' veins: family, neighborhoods, honor, respect, roots and remembering those who are gone. Every second of Signed and Sealed in Blood is evidence of one thing: Dropkick Murphys aren't just loud and brash, they're at the top of their game as songwriters.

    Slow Train Coming

Slow Train Coming is the 19th studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. It was the artist's first effort since becoming a born-again Christian, and all of the songs either express his strong personal faith.

The unexpected effect of his conversion to Christianity is that it gave Dylan a focus he hadn't had since Blood on the Tracks. His concentration carries over to the music, which is lean and direct.

The album peaked at #2 on the Charts in the UK and went Platinum in the US, where it reached number 3. Slow Train Coming was listed at number 16 in the 2001 book CMM Presents: The 100 Greatest Albums in Christian Music.

    Empire Burlesque

    180 Gram Vinyl

Empire Burlesque is the 23rd studio album by Bob Dylan, released in 1985. Dylan produced the album himself, and eventually the album peaked at number thirty-three in the US and at number eleven in the UK.

Accompanied by multiple session musicians-including Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers members Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench and Howie Epstein-the album features a distinct 80s style aesthetic. Fans and critics continue to debate the album's merits, especially when compared to his 1960s and 1970s output.

This may very well be the most consistent record Bob Dylan has made since Blood on the Tracks, filled to the brim with subtle gems. Highlights of the album include Tight Connection to My Heart (Has Anybody Seen My Love?), Emotionally Yours and Dark Eyes.
