Gatefold Jacket And D Side Etching

To celebrate Clerks 20th anniversary the soundtrack will be pressed to vinyl for the first time ever! Clerks is the 1994 soundtrack album to the film of the same name. The original soundtrack's mix of dialogue from the movie (''I'm not even supposed to be here today!'') and tunes by some of the leading groups of the alternative era will now play out across three sides of two LPs - the final side will contain an etching. The soundtrack features songs by Alice in Chains, Girls Against Boys, the Jesus Lizard, Bad Religion, Soul Asylum, Corrosion of Conformity, Stabbing Westward and more. It also features songs by Love Among Freaks, friends of Smith's who visit the convenience store in the movie and who scored the original soundtrack for the movie.

Famously, the cost of licensing the songs on the soundtrack cost more than the film cost to make. The movie helped make Alice in Chains' 1992 Sap EP tune ''Got Me Wrong'' a hit, and the Kevin Smith-directed clip for Soul Asylum's ''Can't Even Tell,'' which closes out the movie, propelled it to Number 16 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.

    No Control

No Control is the fourth album by American punk rock band Bad Religion, originally released on November 2, 1989 through Epitaph Records. Bad Religion began work on the album while touring in support of its previous album, Suffer (1988). No Control is stylistically faster than its predecessor, owing more to hardcore punk. Additionally, it was the first Bad Religion album not to feature a lineup change from after one consecutive studio album.

    Against The Grain

Against the Grain is the fifth album (and seventh release overall) by punk rock band Bad Religion released on November 23, 1990.
Like Bad Religion's previous two albums, Suffer and No Control, and subsequent album, Generator, Against the Grain is considered by many to be the band's greatest album, and it contains many songs that are constantly cited as the band's best, including Faith Alone, 21st Century (Digital Boy), Anesthesia, Against the Grain, God Song and Modern Man. Other favorites are Get Off, Flat Earth Society and Walk Away, but are rarely played live. Walk Away has never been played live once. Despite no promotion by radio and television, Against The Grain managed to sell over 100,000 copies

In November 2012 Southern California's raucous punk
heroes Pennywise announced the return of the band's
original vocalist, Jim Lindberg. Now, coming off a
sold-out 25th anniversary tour featuring the classic lineup of Randy, Byron, Fletcher and Jim, the
same lineup has hit the studio to record Yesterdays,
as both a tribute and fierce rebranding of their
punk rock legacy. Featuring new songs alongside
some never-before-recorded songs written with original bassist Jason Thirsk, Yesterdays is pure prime
Pennywise, loud fast and to the in-your-face point.
With high profile national touring this summer as part of the Summer Nationals Tour with
the Offspring and Bad Religion, Pennywise

    True Brew

Swedish skate-punk quartet Millencolin return with their first album in seven years, True Brew. Titled
to reflect the tight bonds and egalitarian politics that have kept the original band lineup in place for
over 20 years, True Brewis a return to the punk roots that inspired the band's formation. "Since we
started the band we have tried with every new record to explore new ground," vocalist/bassist Nikola
Sarcevic offers. "If the other albums were going further away from where we once were, this one is
digging deeper right down in the core of the kind of punk rock the once got us started." Don't call it
a throwback, though. While True Brew musically draws upon some of Millencolin's earliest influences
like Bad Religion and NOFX through galloping drums and fast, technical riffing, the album lyrically
tackles modern sociopolitical issues in ways the band never have before. Take standout track "Sense
& Sensibility," which Sarcevic wrote about the growing problem of nationalist and racist political
parties in his native Sweden but could be applied to just about anywhere in the Western world. At
the opposite end of the spectrum, the album's title track is the kind of positive jam fans have come
to expect from Millencolin over the years with a message that is universal. "It´s about the struggle of
finding freedom and control over your life and trying to live the life you want, no matter if it might be
a bit against the grain," Sarcevic explains. "The message is to follow your heart and be true to yourself
rather than taking the road recommended by others.

    Millport

This album represents three distinct historical trends that came together in the span of only 10 days during recording at Studios 606 and Big Bad Sound in April of 2016. The most obvious one is the musicians themselves. The rhythm section is composed of players from Social Distortion. 36 years ago, Bad Religion and Social Distortion shared a stage in Santa Ana, California. Well, it wasn't really a stage, it was an abandoned warehouse made into a punk concert/party place. That was my first concert, as the singer/songwriter in Bad Religion. Our styles over the years diverged, but one consistent element remained - our love of American Folk Rock and Old-Time music continued to grow.

The second root apparent on this album is that of the sound and musicianship itself. No mere hacks, these musicians are masters. Vintage wood, having been crafted into musical instruments, produces the sound of history when played by virtuosos such as those collected here. An old guitar, a vintage fiddle, drums and bass, clawhammer banjo, and a combo of electric guitar and tubed amplifier, create a sound that can only be described as classic. When you add the beautiful harmonies of these most excellent background singers, there is no doubt that this music comes from a deep-rooted expression of American experience.

The final historical root is a personal one. The people who introduced me to Old-Time music are now old-timers themselves. My family roots go back to Indiana and Wisconsin. The Indiana folks sang a-Capella in the old country chapel at my Grandma's funeral. Her children taught me to sing and the songs they chose came from the 30s, 40s, 50s, and of course the folk revival tunes of the 1960s. This was the sound I brought forth to my own band starting in the 1980s. It's the only kind of lyrical style I know. And hopefully, this album will add another strong branch to my music. Thank you all for continuing to water the tree.

    Generator

Generator knocks about stirringly with a steadfast, mid-tempo punk roar, keeping the songs simple but continually on the upsurge. Brett and Greg Hetson's guitars piggyback to ever-rousing heights, utilizing the essential chords and keeping limits on flashy things like solos or effects, never letting the enthusiasm or sentiment wane. With all players striving to turn each listening experience into a placard-waving melee, Bad Religion emblazons honest, dissatisfied-with-the-status-quo lyrics with an uberpunk spirit, Greg Graffin's vocals growing more gravelly and endearing with each record.

With the implicit understanding that strength lies in brevity, Bad Religion hew mighty exhortations to action out of a well-trampled happy-punk base, and the sheer motivational impact of Generator, Only Entertainment, Atomic Garden and No Direction sweeps clear any charges of oversimplification or sameness. Generator is a brutal noise that is louder, faster & angrier than ever! A plethora of power punching punk pedagogy.

How Could Hell Be Any Worse?

How Could Hell Be Any Worse? is the first full-length album released by influential punk band Bad Religion. It was financed by a $1,000 loan by guitarist Brett Gurewitz's father. Its success surprised the band when it sold 10,000 copies in under a year. The sound of the record was vastly improved from their first release, 1981's self-titled EP. The record was originally released as an LP in 1982 and again in 1988 with a different catalogue number and Epitaph's current address. It was released on CD as part of the 1991 compilation, 80-85, and was remastered for the 2004 re-issue of this album.

    True North

Includes a CD Version of The Album!

Preeminent punk band Bad Religion will release their new album True North this January 22nd on Epitaph Records. In a world still brimming with rampant anti-intellectualism, inequality and oppression, the band's signature brand of sonically charged humanist dissent seems as relevant as ever. On their newest record, the storied band deliberately revisits and refines the powerful and melodic Southern California sound they helped to define. "We went back to our original mission statement of short concise bursts of melody and thought," co-songwriter and guitarist Brett Gurewitz explains. "The intent was to record stripped down punk songs without sacrificing any conceptual density." With 16 songs clocking in at just 35 minutes, the band obviously succeeded in paring down the songs to their furious essence. The album's first single is a propulsive anthem succinctly called "F*ck You." As the band's singer and co-songwriter Greg Graffin explains, "If any band should have a song with that title, it should be us. It just sounds like a perfect Bad Religion song." Produced by the band and Joe Barresi, True North celebrates the stirring power of cogent punk in the face of pain and adversity. The result is one of the band's most emotionally accessible albums to date.

    New Maps Of Hell

In a world ruled increasingly by superstition and intolerance, Bad Religion's rousing wall-of-sound punk seems about as necessary now as ever before. It is the impassioned sound of reason, anthems of a bittersweet idealism and a guarded hope set to propulsive guitars and charging drumbeats. And while most groups with even half the artistic output have long ago morphed into stylistic self-parody, Bad Religion is currently surging forward with a renewed creative intensity. Their fourteenth album is both a nod to the band's defiant past and an undeniable step forward in the evolution of a genre they helped to define. Look for them on this summer's Warped Tour, inspiring a new generation of fans.

While never dropping their trademark sexy, horror-flick flair, their new CD, produced by Bad Religion's Brett Gurewitz, reveals new depths of songwriting. Brash, Link Wray guitars, singer Patricia's sultry petulance, throbbing standup bass; all served up in loving tribute to the brooding pop of '80s icons like Blondie and Siouxsie Sioux. With two European headlining tours, performances on BBC1 and Jimmy Kimmel, and a major Warped Tour under their belts, HorrorPops are set to build on the musical success of their 2004 debut, Hell Yeah. The Unseen play punk rock, mix in hardcore, scream their asses off, and write great hooks. Their music and lyrics are filled with pent up fear, confusion, lust, guilt, dread, hate, and resentment, but they're neither a political band nor a street punk band, because those terms are too one-dimensional. Their songs deal with every thoughtful aspect in life. Produced by the Dropkick Murphy's Ken Casey and mixed by Jim Siegel and Bad Religion's Brett Gurewitz. 2012 release from singer/songwriter Jake Smith and his White Buffalo project. The songs on Once Upon A Time In The West are rooted in everyday struggles, on both epic and personal scales, with elements of Blues, Country & Western, Folk, and Classic Rock.

The influences of story-tellers like Bob Dylan, Waylon Jennings, Townes Van Zandt, Elliot Smith, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Bad Religion shine through. The album ranges in themes from slices of life in the shadows to coming out of a battlefield to dark heroic fantasies.

Off With Their Heads were signed to Epitaph after label head (and Bad Religion cofounder) Brett Gurewitz dubbed them "the best punk band going right now." Since their 2010 debut, the band have been winning converts opening for such iconic artists as Bad Religion, The Bouncing Souls, Against Me!, Less Than Jake and Dropkick Murphys. In Desolation won glowing press, such as Absolute Punk's description of "a walloping 34-minutes of Midwestern-bred punk rock with a dose of Descendentslike melody...plenty of gritty honesty and good-natured humor, like a punk rock Fresh Prince." The band has been on the road virtually non- stop, inspiring spirited singalongs, celebratory beer throwing and additional good
natured chaos. Now comes Home, chronicling the massive development of frontman Ryan Young's songwriting, and the new sonics that producer Bill Stevenson of the Descendents brings to the band's sound. For their many fans, this is more of what they want; for the waiting fans of Gaslight Anthem, Against Me! and great punk rock, this is the album to discover. This LP comes with a CD of the full album.

Produced by Alex Newport (Frank Turner, At The Drive-In) and mastered by Jeff Lipton (Arcade Fire, Piebald) the record is a throwback classic punk release in the vein of Good Riddance or Bad Religion. Shadows, Greys & Evil Ways

The White Buffalo releases his new record 'Shadows, Greys, and Evil Ways' via Unison Music Group. NPR All Songs Considered has called songwriter Jake Smith "an amazing storyteller" and these 14 songs trace the life story of Joey White, a small town outsider who goes to war and returns home only to find more violence as he struggles to readjust to a life away from the front lines and reconcile with the girl he left behind.

"I look at the whole thing as a love story," says Smith. "The beginning is their meeting, and because of his need and want to support her, he goes off to war, which starts his downward spiral."

Recorded at LA's Unison Music Studios and produced by the Grammy-nominated team of Bruce Witkin and Ryan Dorn, 'Shadows, Greys, and Evil Ways' sees the core trio of Jake Smith, bassist Tom Andrews, and drummer Matt Lynott joined by the likes of drumming legend Jim Keltner on "Don't You Want It" and ex-Jayhawk Jessy Greene.

The White Buffalo has had songs included in both 'Sons of Anarchy' and 'Californication,' and his new song "The American Dream" is included on the soundtrack to 'The Lone Ranger,' starring Johnny Depp, next month. Filter has said "influenced by musicians ranging from Bad Religion to Tom Waits, The White Buffalo is ready to break through and stampede into your speakers" and American Songwriter has praised his "deft songwriting chops and a booming whiskey voice."

In 2005, COMEBACK KID joined VICTORY RECORDS and released the astonishing hardcore masterpiece, Wake The Dead, the follow-up to their acclaimed debut, Turn It Around. Wake The Dead was a call to arms. It was life changing and life affirming. It was the communique‚ that the restless youth of the world desperately needed. Punknews.org called it a hands-down 10 out of 10. Wake The Dead made COMEBACK KID one of the most celebrated hardcore bands of new millennium. The band responded to the call and toured the globe several times over in honest hardcore fashion. They played any festival, VFW hall and basement that would have them. Countries that do not even speak the band's language still understood the message and hailed COMEBACK KID as one of today's premier hardcore bands and made them one of the most successful bands in the genre.

The band entered 2007 with a new record that will further their message of community and strengthen the perseverance and pride of the hardcore scene. Broadcasting is the band's monstrous collection of anthems that will inspire listeners to tear into the pit, and chant along as if their lungs depended on it. Broadcasting combines breakneck hardcore punk rock in the tradition of MINOR THREAT, BAD BRAINS and 7 SECONDS with forward thinking lyrics and ferocious melodies similar to RISE AGAINST, RANCID and BAD RELIGION. It is the band's most ambitious record and was one of 2007's most anticipated releases.

Every now and then a band comes along and speaks to the hearts of adolescents everywhere, as the true voice of their community. In the punk rock community, The Flatliners are that band right now. Their anthemic punk rock classics quickly catapulted them to the top of the scene, and the bands who inspired them quickly became their peers. In an age when overnight internet sensations are an everyday occurrence, it's hard to find a band that's grown organically, using word of mouth and non-stop touring to win fans over one show at a time.

Since 2002, The Flatliners have been busy touring the world over with the likes of NOFX, Bad Religion, Pennywise and Hot Water Music, as well as multiple stints on the Vans Warped Tour. "Inviting Light" is the band's 5th full-length album and is easily the band's strongest material to date. "Inviting Light" includes 12 melodic, catchy songs that will stay stuck in your head for months to come. It's the band's most mature effort, as it leans more rock than punk, but it doesn't alienate the band's core audience. It showcases them at the top of their game, as true masters of their craft.

    Broke Til Midnight

East coast-to-LA transplants Roll The Tanks have signed to Epitaph and will release release their hook-laden debut album Broke Til Midnight in 2014.

Broke Til Midnight hits right in the gut upon first listen. A record that leaves no room for uncertainty in 13-tracks that beg listeners to hit repeat and enjoy the ride. It helps that band members Danny Carney (vocals/guitar), Aaron Stuart (guitar/ vocals), Mike Wakeman (bass/vocals), and Joe Sirois (drums) are fans of enduring songsmiths Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Pixies, and The Clash from where they draw inspiration to carry on the torch. "We're going to make records because that's what we want to do - make records," says Carney. "No clunkers, no fillers. Records where you almost die making them." Though the band didn't die while making the album, they did have to wait until 12 AM for when their paychecks cleared at the bank in order to pay their bar tabs; hence the album title Broke Til Midnight.

Epitaph Label CEO and Bad Religion guitarist/songwriter Brett Gurewitz shares his thoughts on the signing:

"Roll The Tanks write the kind of songs that make you want to be a songwriter. The kind of inspiring rock n roll songwriting that made me want to devote myself to this crazy life in the first place. They bring to mind Strummer, Pixies, Petty, The Kinks but not because that's what they sound like, rather because they're cut from the same cloth. These guys are a great band, I can't wait for people to hear them."

An unpretentious, classic rock inspired "band's band," Roll The Tanks are primed and ready to carry the torch for energetic, solid rock music. They know the value of a dollar from grinding their days away waiting tables, driving trucks, and working as carpenters to pay the bills so they can dedicate their evenings (and as much time as they can put into the stage and the road) to honing their already formidable songwriting chops. Music is their passion. And as their name implies, they are prepared to flatten all obstacles.
