    Connecticut Casual (On Sale)

Veteran Demigodz frontman and Army of the Pharaohs core member, Apathy, releases his 4th official full length solo effort. Connecticut Casual is an album that reveals a hidden side of New England, unfamiliar to most. From the opulent lifestyle of the Kennedy family, to the economically destitute neighborhoods of Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Mansions and projects. Tennis courts and bodegas. Summers spent on the shores of the Atlantic. Mysterious meetings in Masonic lodges. Homicides that go unsolved due to inadequate law enforcement budgets in poor areas, to literally getting away with murder by being well connected to East Coast royalty.

The album is full of conceptual songs that range from underwater nautical tales, Freemasonry, Jack Ruby conspiracies and Beefin' Over Bitches. Songs like Curse Of The Kennedys & Martha Moxley analytically highlight the darker side of America's royal family. The Grass Ain't Greener & Money Makes The World Go Round, address the battle for our souls, against the almighty dollar bill.

Production is handled mostly by Apathy with the addition of Da Beatminerz, The Doppelgangaz,
Teddy Roxpin & Smoke The World. Original cover art by Chris B. Murray.

Red vinyl version w/ bonus tracks not found on original vinyl pressing

Jedi Mind Tricks is currently one of the hottest underground hip-hop groups in the United States. Their sophomore album, Violent By Design, has sold over 85,000 copies and is regarded by many as one of the best independent hip-hop albums ever recorded.

Babygrande Records is proud to present The Psycho-Social... LP which is the cult classic prequel to Violent by Design. Described by the Source Magazine as ahead of its time and by CMJ as A must own for anyone who cares about hip-hop culture, The Psycho-Social was originally released only in limited pressings on vinyl 1997. The vinyl edition sells frequently on Ebay for upwards of $100. That is until now...

In 2002, prior to obtaining national distribution, Babygrande released the CD version to independent retailers nationwide and scanned over 40,000 copies. Now, Babygrande has opened its vaults to re-release the the vinyl edition of The Psycho-Social in its entirety on limited edition red vinyl. Thanks to digital remastering, listeners can obtain the album Jedi Mind Tricks originally released in 1997, exactly as the artist intended.

    Lost Songs

Lost Songs is the eighth studio album by Austin, Texas art rock outfit ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead.

Recorded at Horus Sound Studios in Hanover, Germany, the album's lyrics are themed around war, tyranny and apathy. Frontman Conrad Keely said, the music was inspired by the apathy to real world events that has plagued the independent music scene now for over a decade. Up to Infinity is about the Syrian civil war. We believe that tyranny and despotism suffered by any people, anywhere, is intolerable and should not be treated as an internal matter, but completely justifies intervention by the international community.

    Dr. Byrds & Mr. Hyde

A key transitional touchstone in The Byrds' fabled canon, 1969's Dr. Byrds & Mr. Hyde
was the next stop in the band's pioneering country-rock trajectory and the first album by
the post-Gram Parsons lineup. With leader Roger McGuinn at the helm of a stellar new
edition of the band featuring guitar god Clarence White, drummer Gene Parsons, and
bassist John York, Dr. Byrds & Mr. Hyde sees The Byrds bridging the gap between the
psychedelic flights of the group's mid-'60s albums and the down-home, country-based
style developed only months earlier with Sweetheart of the Rodeo.

In addition to containing strong McGuinn originals (King Apathy III, Old Blue),
more of the band's beloved interpretations of Bob Dylan classics (This Wheel's on Fire
and a medley blending The Bard's My Back Pages' with Jimmy Reed's Baby, What You
Want Me to Do), and even a Gram Parsons collaboration (the bemusing Drug Store
Truck Drivin' Man, which cleverly celebrates The Byrds' love of country music while
simultaneously taking a dig at small-minded rednecks), Dr. Byrds & Mr. Hyde also boasts
two tracks composed by McGuinn for the obscure, racy '60s cult movie Candy.

Mastered from the original Columbia Records analog master reels, Sundazed's exact
reproduction of the original LP will have Byrdmaniacs everywhere soaring to high heaven!

i will be my own hell because there is a devil inside my body

Teen suicide's first & only proper album, 'i will be my own hell because there is a devil inside my body', has been a sought after release for many collectors after it's ultra-limited vinyl release in 2012. Now, Run For Cover Records will be reissuing my own hell, with remastered audio, expanded artwork and 8 never-before-issued bonus tracks. Across the album's 10 songs, the band displays a knack for different sounds and styles. Intimate, keyboard driven tracks like 'cop graveyard' and 'grim reaper' sit beside more energetic full-band outings like 'dead bird skeleton and 'give me back to the sky', the latter even adding an evocative viola, piano and choral arrangement to it's chaotic center.

It's to the band's credit that their more outrÉ moments feel necessary, not distracting. What becomes clear upon listening to 'my own hell' is that beneath the dreamy haze & noisy apathy of teen suicide's recordings exist ernest, extremely well-written pop songs that reflect and express the uncertainty and desperation of reality.

    Geocidal

tetema is a new duo project from Mike Patton (FNM, Bungle, Fantomas, principle Zorn interpreter) and Australian composer/pianist Anthony Pateras (Thymolphthalein, Pivixki, Pateras/Baxter/Brown, Beta Erko). geocidal is audio caffiene injected direct into your eyeballs. Recorded across half the
continents on the planet, this record investigates the murder of place. Do borders even matter any more? Should we even leave the house? Is there any specificity left in this generalised cesspool of culture? Or has the tidal wave of digitally-fuelled apathy swamped any sense of tangible individuality? tetema
demand another universe to this one, and have built one especially for you.

Boasting a 12-piece all-star cast of incredible musicians and featuring special guest drummer Will Guthrie (absolutely slaying), tetema hand picked a devastating team of instrumental virtuosi to assist their quest to make indispensable music in the age of permanent refuse. As a result, geocidal brings the
most glorious noise, interrogating the deepest cosmogonies and malformations of man. It's true! Antique synths? Check. Outlandish orchestration? Definitely. Face-frying vocals wrapped in velvet? You know it.

If we could name some references for you to file this under, we would, but some application is eventually going to tell you what it sounds like anyways, so we won't. To us, it sounds like two maniacs in their respective studios having the time of their lives, rebirthing some of the most insane songcraft this side
of the godforsaken Miley-Cyrus worshipping millennium. So stop like-ing cat jpegs, stop drooling into your phone and listen to this freaking record - it will literally re-wire your existing perception of sonic possibility, although that's probably underselling it. Featuring absolutely gorgeous drawings from Sydney
artist Nik Kamvissis, this album brutally articulates the hell of now!

    Limits Of Desire

Limits of Desire is SmallBlack's most accomplished album yet. It's a crystalline realization of a sound they've
been building toward since their self-titled EP in 2009. Now a full-time four piece, Josh Hayden Kolenik
(keys, vocals), Ryan Heyner (guitar, keys, vocals), Juan Pieczanski (bass, guitar) and Jeff Curtin (drums,
percussion), the band have moved way beyond the hazy home recorded sound of their previous releases
toward a full-fledged, but still self-produced, clear approach. Where 2010's New Chain was a lesson in
maximalist pop, Limits of Desirefindsthe band trimming theirsound to the essentials, yet hitting new and
unexpected heightswith the addition of live drums, electric guitar and trumpet to the existing Small Black
    palette.

Tonally the songs sweep and glide over lush keys, bolstered by lyrics that illustrate the semi-abstract
moments of lost opportunities and misread signs, hinted at by the coverimage. The title trackwhirlssoftly,
and channels luminaries Tears for Fears and The Blue Nile, anchored by Pieczanski's punchy bass as
Kolenik sings: "Otherlives droned/ farfrom the grasswhere Ilay/ each eye stared out the oppositeway."As
much as the record is about looking for deeper connections, it's also about avoiding real life, if only for a
moment-getting out of your own head just long enough to calm down and find perspective.
"Free At Dawn" and "No Stranger" do what fans have come to love Small Black for, only better. They're
smart pop bangerstingedwith a specific brand of melancholy thatslowly build to night-affirming climaxes.

While Breathless" ups the tempo, over synth stabs, with lyrics that tackle apathy and uncertainty with
catchy grace: "I'm standing in tomorrow'sway/ future'sfine/least itseems okay." It paints a concise portrait
of a generation strugglingwith unlimited freedom and malaise.
The band builds on a rich history of synth pop by making a thoroughly modern album, on both the front
and back end. One that seeks out cohesion, connection and calm in a world that won't sit still. Limits of
Desire doesn't attempt to provide any solutions, but coming to terms with not finding the answers feels
    infinitely more fruitful.
