    Weightless (Awaiting Repress)

When unknown virtuoso guitarist Tosin Abasi released his debut solo album under the moniker Animals As Leaders in 2009, few would have predicted the band's meteoric rise over the next two years. Although Abasi earned acclaim as the lead guitarist in the Washington, D.C.-based metalcore act Reflux, it was still a long-shot that an instrumental album of progressive metal with jazz, electronic and ambient flourishes would develop anything more than a cult following.

Now, on the eve of the release of Weightless, the group's sophomore effort, Animals As Leaders is revered worldwide as a trailblazing pioneer of modern heavy music. Whereas the group's self-titled debut was a collaboration between Abasi and Periphery's Misha Mansoor, Weightless features the recording debut of Animals As Leaders as a true band. After nearly two years of touring together, the new trio wrote and recorded Weightless together in mid-2011, with drummer Naven Koperweis producing and guitarist Javier Reyes mixing.

First Pressing Of 2000 Numbered Copies On Silver Transparent Vinyl

Take A Look In The Mirror is the sixth studio album by American Nu-Metal band Korn, released in 2003. It is the first album self-produced by the band. Korn explained that they wanted fans to hear the music as it should be. They returned to a more aggressive sound as featured on their earlier albums, with guitarists Brian Head Welch and James Munky Shaffer mostly utilizing thick, heavy distortion and the occasional clean tones for contrast. The album peaked at number 9 of the Billboard 200 album charts and was certified platinum.

The track Did My Time was previously released as a single for the movie Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. The single debuted and peaked at number thirty-eight on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Korn's first top-forty hit in the United States. Did My Time gave Korn another Grammy nomination in the Best Metal Performance category. The track Right Now was accompanied by a provocative cartoon video animated by Spike and Mike.

The album also contains a reworked and re-recorded version of the track Alive, which had previously only been released on the band's first demo, Neidermeyer's Mind. The track Play Me features rapper Nas, making Take A Look In The Mirror the first Korn album since Follow The Leader to feature such a collaboration. Jonathan Davis plays bagpipes on Let's Do This Now, marking the return of a tradition that has previous to the album, only been absent on Untouchables.

The Music On Vinyl reissue is pressed on 180 gram audiophile vinyl, with the first 2000 copies being individually numbered and pressed on silver transparent vinyl.

    Animal Mother

Visionary metal cult known as TODAY IS THE DAY prepares to assault the masses with their tenth full-length album, Animal Mother.

As always, the dejected and vengeful hymns TODAY IS THE DAY delivers with their latest opus are among the most scathing passages of audio one will experience, as Animal Mother unloads just short of a solid hour of pure anguish. The band's lineup features the rhythm section of bassist Sean Conkling (Regression, Burn Your Halo, Sprawl) and drummer Jeff Lohrber (Enabler, ex-Harlots), fronted by cult leader, founding guitarist/vocalist Steve Austin. Through fifteen diversified attacks, Animal Mother's wrath recalls elements of several seminal TITD albums, merging the dementia of Temple Of The Morning Star with the blazing delivery of In The Eyes Of God, yet several acoustic and more melodic angles elevate the LP's material to entirely different dimensions. Pain and hate are blatantly abundant in Austin's seething and venomous lyrical tirades and emotional outcries. The Animal Mother recordingsessions took place at the notorious architect's own Austin Enterprises in the deeply wooded Maine wilderness this brutal past Winter, the material fully produced and mastered by Austin. The cover art for Animal Mother was created by Samantha Muljat.

For two and-a-half decades, TODAY IS THE DAY has woven Steve Austin's prophetic observations and noise-soaked chaos through a psychedelic, unique and unmatched battery of heavy styles. The outfit has spawned an incredible discography, forging their way to the forefront of Amphetamine Reptile, Relapse, Blackmarket Activities and many others. The band has toured with countless acts including Motörhead, Morbid Angel, Helmet, Neurosis, The Melvins, Napalm Death, Coalesce, Unsane and Eyehategod. Additionally, Steve Austin has produced nearly all of TITD's releases, as well as groundbreaking albums for Lamb Of God, Converge, Deadguy and many others.

    Aromanticism (Pre-Order) (On Sale)

Written in Montreal, Los Angeles, Asheville, Topanga, Laguna, Big Bear, coastal Nicaragua, and
on a sleepy ship traversing the Pacific ocean, making Aromanticism was a 3-year adventure into
the parts of the self that society encourages us to silence for the sake of our sanity.

The album title was chosen before any of its songs were written. The not-yet-in-the-dictionary
definition of an "aromantic" is simply someone who doesn't completely feel romantic
attraction. I'm just trying to get it out from over the red squiggly line.

Aromanticism features performances and production contributions from Matt Otto (Majical
Cloudz), Thundercat, Joshua Willing Halpern, Paris Strother (KING), Miguel AtwoodFerguson,
Rob Moose, Ian Chang (Son Lux), Tosin Abasi (Animals as Leaders), Nicole Miglis
(Hundred Waters), Ludwig Görannson, Cam Obi, and more. All of the lyrics and vocal
arrangements were written by me. Genre is shirked while choir-inspired vocal layering is
employed in order to explore the multiplicities that are contained within a single person.

British Metal Forefathers SikTh Return With Their First Full-Length Album In 11 Years

SikTh pushed me in to the progressive genre. Death of a Dead Day is my jam - Spencer Sotelo (Periphery)

A keystone in the progressive metal genre, SikTh's legacy gave the inspiration for bands like Protest The Hero, Periphery, TesseracT and Animals As Leaders following their hiatus in 2007. Now in 2017 the intense and enigmatic frontman Mikee Goodman is joined by Alias' vocalist Joe Rosser for a unique double-vocal attack. The band also welcomed guest singer Spencer Sotelo from Periphery as SikTh's first ever guest performer on an album, cementing the relationship formed between the bands on their US tour in 2016.

Following their reformation at the UK's legendary Download Festival in 2014, SikTh have been teasing the metal scene with the release of mini-album Opacities in 2015, a support tour in the UK for Slipknot, their first ever US tour as the main support for Periphery, and a 6-week tour at the beginning of 2017 as the main support for Trivium in Europe and the UK. The band also released a deluxe edition of their most popular album Death of a Dead Day on its 10th anniversary through Peaceville in 2016.

Kicking off The Future In Whose Eyes? album campaign in February, the single No Wishbones became an instant favourite with streaming platforms; Spotify placed the track on their popular curated playlists New Metal Tracks, Top Tracks in Metal and Got Djent?; iTunes selected the single for their Hot Tracks in Metal promotions in both the UK and the US; and Deezer chose the track for their Metal New Releases playlist.

Mikee commented on the new album: Personally I feel this is our best album yet. The band has made incredible music, brutal, technically warped and also some psychedelic moments... we've done something special here. The SikTh frontman explained the artwork, created by Meats Meier, whose credits include the film Hellboy and TOOL: Meats Meier is an absolute genius, a visionary and a pioneer. We wanted something really special and we got it; the inspiration was the title itself, the constant evolution of humanity and the self-destructive nature of man."

    Guitar Freakout

The late L.A. session guitar genius Jerry Cole has long been worshipped for his work with everyone from the Beach Boys and the Byrds to Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley and by surf fans as the leader of the Spacemen. But unbeknownst to many, Cole was also the driving force behind the Animated Egg, a fictitious band whose lone, self-titled 1967 LP is one of the greatest psychedelic exploitation records ever to hit the budget bins of U.S. chain storesand eventually the want lists of big-spending DJs and collectors.

Comprised of splashy, fuzz-drenched Now Sound instrumental groovers, The Animated Egg easily lives up to both the eBay hype and the promise of its evocative track titles: Sure Listic, Sock It My Way, Sippin and Trippin, andyes indeedI Said, She Said, Ah Cid. In addition to the rare self-titled LP by the Animated Egg, this collection also includes cuts by other related Cole projects: the Projection Company, the Generation Gap, T. Swift & the Electric Bag, and the Stone Canyon Rock Group. Sourced from the original analog masters, Sundazeds glorious CD and high-definition double-LP vinyl editions of this hallowed prize are a must for turntablists and brain-trippers alike.

Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance

"The Scottish indie-pop group has managed to
build a fan base the old-fashioned way: by writing
old-fashioned songs, the kind that brim with
    melody, sensitivity, cleverness, sophistication, and
sheer beauty. It's hard to imagine groups like The
Shins, Arcade Fire, or Vampire Weekend sounding
like they do without its influence"
    - Entertainment Weekly

Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance is the longawaited
follow-up to 2010's Write About Love.
Produced and mixed at Maze Studios in Atlanta
by Ben H. Allen III, best known for his work with
Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective, and Raury,
among others, the band - who have been
listening to things like vintage Detroit techno
and Giorgio Moroder - have brought a danceparty
element into their gorgeous tales of
sensitive souls navigating a world gone awry. It
is perhaps the most inspired and wide-reaching
album Belle and Sebastian have ever made.

Given that band leader Stuart Murdoch has
    openly declared himself pro-bubblegum before,
it shouldn't come as a surprise that 'Enter Sylvia
Plath', 'The Book Of You' and 'Play For Today' have
keyboard hooks that recall Scandinavian pop
machines past and present. The filmic loves,
kitchen sink imagery and baroque touches are
still there, too, don't worry. It's all about trusting
in the restorative power of pop music. If you'd
trust anyone to write a great Europop song
about Sylvia Plath, you'd trust Belle & Sebastian.

Special Collector Postcards With Photos By Frank Kofsky

    Mastered By Bernie Grundman

Offering: Live At Temple University documents a legendary concert by John Coltrane at Temple University in his hometown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
on November 11, 1966, six weeks after his fortieth birthday and nine months before his untimely death. Offering incorporates a look that is contiguous with the graphic identity of Impulse! Records, Coltrane's exclusive label from 1961
until the end of his life. This is the first officially sanctioned release of an undiscovered, complete Coltrane performance since 2005. It captures Coltrane in
exemplary form, navigating the language he had developed during the last phase of his musical path with passion and pellucid logic. Operating at
equivalent levels of invention and energy are three members of his working quintet of one year's standing his wife, Alice Coltrane, on piano; Pharoah
Sanders on reeds and flute; and Rashied Ali on drums.

Offering is emblematic of the efflorescent energies and radical ideas that Coltrane himself had much to do with bringing forth during the seven years after
1960, when he left the employ of Miles Davis to pursue his vision as a leader. There are versions of Coltrane's 1960 hits "Naima" and "My Favorite
Things," a transformational reworking of the 1964 ballad "Crescent," a spirit-raising rendering of "Leo," which he had recorded on several previous
occasions during 1966, and the hymnal "Offering," which he would record on a February 15, 1967 studio session that Impulse! would release during the
    '90s as Spiritual Offering.

On Offering, Resonance Records achieves the highest possible audio quality, using direct transfers of original master reels from a location recording by
Temple's WRTI-FM, remastered at 96kHz/24 bit, that were tracked down by Coltrane scholar Yasuhiro Fujioka.
The immense life-force that animates the proceedings on this November 1966 evening in Philadelphia belies the declining state of Coltrane's health. It is
still difficult to grasp and to accept that he was firmly in the grip of the liver cancer that would still his voice on July 17, 1967. As co-producer Ashley Kahn
states in his liner notes, "Coltrane was pointing the way forward for generations of players to come, pushing the music to exhilarating, spiritual heights that
caught most by surprise. In 1966, that wasn't what jazz performances were about not yet."
