Eucalyptus is the new studio album written and produced by Animal Collective's Avey Tare.

Conceived on Hawaiian mornings, written on a sunlit bedroom afternoon in Los Angeles, practiced in the dark early hours of the California twilight, recommended listening for dawn or dusk.

Recorded by Animal Collective's Deakin (Josh Dibb), featuring chamber orchestration arranged by Eyvind Kang, and featured vocalists Angel Deradoorian and Jessika Kenney, Eucalyptus is an immersive album length electro acoustic movement through leaves, rocks and dust.

Includes bonus CD version of the album.

Animal Prufrock co-created the infamous queer rock duo, Bitch and Animal. congratulations; thank you + i'm sorry was recorded over a period of 2 years in San Francisco and New Orleans. Animal's collection of 12 songs explores universal themes of love - triumphs and heartbreaks, without taking herself too seriously. On this record, Animal Prufrock continues where Bitch and Animal left off. The Technicolor joyride of raucous humor has changed a bit and we find a more introspective vibe of self examination on this album. Animal is keeping the beats fresh and funky, playful and jaunty all the while exploring the boundaries of her brand of outsider music and unconventional sounds.

    Merriweather Post Pavilion

Merriweather Post Pavilion is the ninth full length album from Animal Collective, recorded with Ben Allen in Oxford, Mississippi. Animal Collective have made a universal record that makes the same beautiful sense on headphones by day, or soundtracking the small hours of the morning, or stretched out in a field on your back. Whether a state of mind, or a rest stop somewhere along the way, Merriweather Post Pavilion magnificently redefines your sense of direction.

Located in different continents, Avey Tare, Panda Bear and Geologist, having operated in their unique way since their inception, have now arrived at a point where their innerlogic makes perfect sense on the whole. Listening to Merriweather Post Pavilion you'll hear echoes of everything they've recorded to date, especially the mesmeric and melodic repetition of Panda Bear's last solo opus Person Pitch. The whoops and hollers that have previously held together the sublime, chaotic urgency of their earlier work, now signal the calm sense of euphoria and wonder that ripples through this wide eyed record.

Throughout Merriweather Post Pavilion, Panda Bear and Avey Tare sing in a newfound clarity, enraptured by the possibilities of the sound they're making. This record feels like a defining moment for Animal Collective; linear, wild and beautiful, it's the sound of a band waiting, with arms open wide, to tell you about what they've found. And it's something pretty special.

    Aureate Gloom

180-Gram Light Blue Vinyl In Gatefold Jacket

Vinyl Includes 18x24 Poster With Artwork By David Barnes

Recorded At Sonic Ranch (Band Of Horses, Animal Collective)

Engineered by Drew Vandenberg (Kishi Bashi, Deerhunter)

"Whether exposing light or dark, or some blank hue in the middle,
Barnes has all but bulls-eyed his status as a brilliantly daring artist."
    - PASTE

"A thrilling, carnival-like atmosphere around Barnes' fractured perspective."
    - AV Club

"A golden despondency" is how Kevin Barnes translates the meaning behind
Aureate Gloom, the title he gave of Montreal's thirteenth full-length album.
The oxymoron is one Barnes says best describes the overall state of his life and
mental outlook while working on the record - penning lyrics so personal they
sound like entries ripped from a journal that should be permanently kept under
    lock and key.

"I was going through a very stormy period in my life and felt like I was just
completely trashed," reveals Barnes. "I might be guilty of sharing or exposing
too much of my private life, but to me the best albums are those that help
people connect with an artist on a deep, human level and that do so without
    too much artifice or evasiveness."

Aureate Gloom was recorded directly to tape with musicians Kevin Barnes
(guitar, vocals), Clayton Rychlik (drums), Bob Parins (bass), Bennett Lewis
(guitar), and JoJo Glidewell (keys), plus the help of engineer Drew Vandenberg.

The strength of the members' musical rapport was instantly apparent. The
group completed nearly a song a day and even wrote a brand new track
on the spot, "Apollyon Of Blue Room," whose title references a supposedly
haunted bedroom in a hacienda on the studio grounds. With Aureate Gloom,
of Montreal have created one of the most unflinching, confessional and starkly
    emotional albums in their career.

    Hollinndagain

At the beginning there were two of them - Avey Tare and Panda Bear - banging drums and tweaking synths in their bedrooms, singing strange and sometimes heartbreaking songs about imaginary friends and childhood pets. Carried along by washes of squalling feedback, the music was noisy, and it was weird, but it was, at heart, pop music. This was the start of Animal Collective. For fifteen years Dave Porter (Tare), Noah Lennox (Bear), Brian "Geologist" Weitz and Josh "Deakin" Dibb have been rewriting the musical map, their line-up and aesthetic shifting with each astonishing release as they continue their pursuit of a new psychedelia.

Their wild path has taken them from cramped concrete basement shows and forest floor singalongs to immersive installations at the Guggenheim and performances to millions on national television. So where now from here? Hollinndagain is the third full length collection of songs by the band. This time including members Avey Tare, Panda Bear and Geologist. It is a document of songs that were performed live in the first half of 2001. The first 3 are from an on-air performance on WFMU, and the latter four are from live shows around NYC and on their first tour with Black Dice. No studio recordings were ever made with the exception of Lablakely Dress, which originally appeared on Danse Manatee. It was originally released in a limited edition of 300 handpainted LPs on St. Ives Records (a Secretly Canadian imprint). It was then reissued in 2006 by Paw Tracks as PAW12.

    Painting With

AnCo's 11th album overall, Painting With follows 2012's Centipede Hz. While that album saw band member Deakin rejoin the lineup after skipping out on 2009's Merriweather Post Pavilion, he's once again absent on Painting With. In place of Deakin, Avery Tare, Panda Bear, and Geologist were joined by the likes of John Cale and Colin Stetson.

The trio started working on the album earlier this year with the goal of creating "really short songs: no B.S, get in, get out material " according to Avey Tare. The result is 12 tracks concerned with and inspired by "art (Cubism, Dadaism, and the distorted way those artists viewed the world) and the human experience, and the meeting of both."

Painting With will be released with three different covers, each featuring a painting of one of Animal Collective's members done by Brian DeGraw.

    Young Prayer

Noah Lennox, a.k.a. Panda Bear, a.k.a. one-fourth of the founding members of Animal Collective, has had a far-from-quiet few years since the release of his fourth solo record, 2011's Tomboy. Since the breakout success of 2007's universally-adored Person Pitch, each new Panda Bear release is a highly anticipated event, and with a high-profile Daft Punk collaboration later, that's more the case than ever. But if the title of his fifth solo album as Panda Bear seems to portend certain doom, think again. Taking his inspiration from '70s dub duo albums like King Tubbys Meets Rockers Uptown and Augustus Pablo Meets Lee Perry & the Wailers Band, Panda Bear prefers to frame his latest work as less of a battle and more a collaboration. "I see it [as] more comicbooky, a little more lighthearted," he says. "Like Alien Vs. Predator." Young Prayer is the second full-length solo album by Panda Bear. It was recorded in Panda Bear's childhood home in 2002 by Deakin and further produced by the mysterious Animal Collective brothers known as Come Winter. It was originally released in 2004 on Paw Tracks as PAW2.

    Here Comes The Indian

Informed in equal parts by acid-fried psychosis, crop-circle field recordings, and an elephants-on-the-loose circus thrash aesthetic, Animal Collective's fourth full-length album rests roughly at the meeting point between psychedelic, noise, and folk music. Here Comes the Indian begins gently enough with Native Belle, a moody set piece that belies the album's clatter with 12 minutes of constrained rhythmic builds, drones, and squeaks. Things quickly explode with the searing Hey Light, a lightning bolt of electrocuted brass and human wails that sends the album careening into psychoactive delirium. Since everything that follows -- from the shrieking brattle of Two Sails on a Sound to the enchanted tribal vocal exercises of Slippi to the slow-building celebratory scuttle of Too Soon -- feels similarly crazed, drug-induced, and apparitional, Here Comes the Indian makes for particularly lucid listening. Brash, crass, and texturally magnificent, this is well worth seeking out.

Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper

Domino is pleased to announce the release of Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper, the
fifth studio album from Animal Collective founding member and critically acclaimed solo artist Noah
    Lennox.

Noah Lennox, a.k.a. Panda Bear, has had a far-from-quiet few years with the release of his fourth solo
record, 2011's Tomboy. Since the breakout success of 2007's universally-adored Person Pitch, each new
Panda Bear release is a highly anticipated event, and a high-profile Daft Punk collaboration later ("Doin'
It Right," from 2013's Random Access Memories), that's more the case than ever.

Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper finds our hero leaving the airy minimalism of Tomboy and unpacking
his sonic toolbox again, rearranging the multitude of his disparate influences into the ever-morphing
concoction he refers to as "the soup." Old school hip-hop textures and production techniques meld with
the intuitive, cyclical melodies he has become known for a sound that is at once dense and playful.
The album signifies a pivotal point for an artist who has proven he can continue to evolve while
remaining at the top of his game. As Noah says, "It's sort of marking change - not necessarily an
absolute death, but the ending of something, and hopefully the beginning of something else."

A Collection Of Out-of-print And Unreleased Live Recordings

    Limited Edition 180 Gram Vinyl

The John Lurie National Orchestra featuring John Lurie, Billy Martin and G. Calvin Weston

Billy Martin's Amulet Records have announced the release of The Invention of Animals by The John Lurie National Orchestra. The archival compilation assembles seven previously unreleased live and out-of-print studio recordings by the acclaimed musician, actor and visual artist John Lurie leading his early 1990s' trio with percussionists Billy Martin and G. Calvin Weston.

The three of us got together to try and write stuff for my band The Lounge Lizards, but what happened between the three of us was magical. After about a year of playing live it really came together, says John Lurie. There is something so unique and beautiful about this music. I don't think there is anything else like it.

Billy Martin adds: John and I share the idea that this is like someone discovered a field recording of a lost civilization. Some strange and beautiful tribe unlike any other known to man.

The Invention of Animals opens with Flutter, one of four National Orchestra performances culled from the soundtrack of John Lurie's 1991 television series, Fishing With John. Also drawn from that same soundtrack are The Beast, Little and Ignore The Giant. The additional studio recording included here is the title track to the only official John Lurie National Orchestra album Men With Sticks released in 1993. Rounding out the collection are two previously unreleased live recordings. I Came To Visit Here For Awhile was preserved at the Threadwaxing Space in New York City on May 7, 1993. The album's centerpiece and title track, The Invention of Animals, running at 19-minutes-plus, was captured by highly regarded sound engineer Claudia Engelhart from a performance on February 12, 1994 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

John Lurie first became known for his work in the late '70s leading the band The Lounge Lizards, which went on to make music for 20 years. During this time, Lurie recorded 22 albums and composed scores for over 20 movies, including Stranger than Paradise, Down by Law, Mystery Train, Clay Pigeons, Animal Factory and Get Shorty, which earned him a Grammy nomination. Lurie also starred in three films directed by Jim Jarmusch, as well as a host of other films. He wrote, directed and starred in the aforementioned cult classic Fishing with John, a series that is now part of The Criterion Collection. Lurie is also responsible for the incredible music of Marvin Pontiac. Lurie emerged onto the art scene in the spring of 2004, when he had his first painting exhibition at Anton Kern Gallery. Since then Lurie's work has been exhibited in esteemed galleries throughout the world. His solo museum exhibits include P.S.1. Contemporary Arts Center in New York, Musee Des Beaux-Arts De Montreal, the Musee d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean in Luxembourg and the Watari Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, who gave their entire museum over to the presentation of Lurie's work. Both the Wadsorth Athenaeum in Connecticut and The Museum of Modern Art in New York have acquired his work for their permanent collections.

The Invention of Animals by The John Lurie National Orchestra features a painting by John Lurie as its cover art.

    Centipede Hz

Centipede Hz was co-produced by Animal Collective and Ben H. Allen III and recorded at Sonic Ranch studios in Tornillo TX (outside of El Paso) by Ben H. Allen III and mixed at Maze Studios in Atlanta, GA by Ben H. Allen III.

Centipede Hz is the tenth full length Animal Collective album following the widely celebrated Merriweather Post Pavilion (2009) and also the first since Strawberry Jam (2007) to feature all four original band members: Avey Tare, Panda Bear, Geologist and Deakin. As the album's opening bars of drum crashes and radio interference on "Moonjock" immediately make clear, having returned as a four piece, Animal Collective have made their most widescreen and fully realized music to date.

Once touring for Merriweather Post Pavilion was concluded at the end of 2009, Animal Collective released their visual album Oddsac on DVD. The film was also screened internationally at theaters and film festivals. The band created Transverse Temporal Gyrus, an installation for the Guggenheim Museum in New York City and subsequently released a 12" single of the performance and launched a website to distribute music from the event. The period between Merriweather Post Pavilion and Centipede Hz also saw the release of two solo albums: Avey Tare's Down There (2010) and Panda Bear's Tomboy (2011).

Regrouping as a four piece with original member Deakin once more in the band, Animal Collective reconvened in their native Baltimore in January-March of 2011 to write material for Centipede Hz with a further session later in the year. Rather than swapping ideas over the internet and file-sharing Animal Collective were, for the first time in many years, exchanging ideas in the same room by playing live instruments.

As a result Panda Bear returned to playing a sit-down drum kit for the first time since Here Comes The Indian (2003) and Geologist began playing live keyboards again. Along with using some of the samplers and sequencers with which they had previously been writing, the sound of Centipede Hz draws on the dynamics and energy of Animal Collective playing together as a band. The return of Deakin is at its most marked in "Wide Eyed," a song that he wrote, featuring his first ever lead-vocal performance and whose title captures the mood of Centipede Hz perfectly.

Part of the inspiration for Centipede Hz included the band's memories of growing up listening to station announcements and commercials on the radio and imagining the after life of radio signals from the past, forgotten transmissions that are now lost in space and broadcasting music from other planets for other life forms. This is reflected in the sound of Centipede Hz, which features the white noise of radio interference and buried frequencies overlaid with the band's peerless melodic sensibilities and compositional methods. The result is a panoramic set of songs that shimmer with the confidence and wonder of Animal Collective's unique inner logic and the luminous warmth of their sound world.

Animal Collective: Avey Tare (vocals, synthesizers, piano, guitar, sampler, sequencer, percussion); Panda Bear (vocals, drums, sampler, percussion); Deakin (vocals, baritone guitar, sampler, percussion); Geologist (sampler, synthesizers, piano, percussion) with: Dave Scher (Beachwood Sparks, All Night Radio) lap steel guitar on "Today's Supernatural," "New Town Burnout," "Pulleys," and "Gotham," and melodica on "Rosie Oh" and Riverside Middle School Choir, which sings on "Father Time" and "New Town Burnout."

    Autumn Response

A spartan folk/pop record filled with tinderbox intimacies, composed of some of the shortest songs ever recorded by Youngs. Autumn Response is a singer-songwriter album; his fingers slip over the steel strings with little feet and whispery toes, his gently prophetic songs evoke Roger Waters, and the folk phase play is sure to appeal to fans of Animal Collective's Sung Tongs.

"Beautiful, angelic vocal music from New York-based musician Julianna Barwick. Layered, looped and treated vocals create deceptively simple songs which seep into your soul! Soothing, sad, deep music that sounds a bit like a post rock take on Early Modern choral music - think Animal Collective doing Thomas Tallis! A delicate, perfect album of tranquil and absorbing vocal music! An album to cherish! Very highly recommended!"-Sounds of the Universe

Pittsburgh native Chris Laufman, performing as Wise Blood, was poised for a huge splash in 2011--the beginnings of his musical career already heralded by Pitchfork, The Fader, Stereogum and more. The new album 'id' was co-produced by Nicolas Vernhes (Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors) and Laufman explains the album as a snapshot of thoughts and experiences from a three month period in 2012 played out in a single day.

    The Doldrums

After years of recording in relative seclusion in the hills of Los Angeles, Ariel Pink made his official Paw Tracks debut with The Doldrums in 2004. Originally a handmade CD-R release a couple years prior, The Doldrums was discovered by Animal Collective during one of their West coast tours and became an immediate favorite.

Recorded at home with only a guitar, keyboard, and 8-track (the drum sounds are all unbelievably created with his vocals), Ariel Pink blends Lite FM and warped lo-fi pop into something beautiful and confusing, yet highly addictive.
